FEATURES
OF
THE
RCD
950
CD
PLAYER
This
CD
player
uses
a
multiplebit
bitstream
continuous
calibration
digital
to
analog
converter.
This
is
followed
by
a
digital
filter
that
runs
at
the
equivalent
of
96
x
the
sampling
frequency.
We
have
followed
this
circuit
with
a
high
performance
buffer
stage
to
improve
the
sound
quality
and
stability
of
the
output
stage.
RCD
950
will
offer
a
lively,
entertaining
source
of
music
for
your
sound
system.
We
have
installed
the
loader
and
the
3
beam
laser
sled
assembly
in
the
center
of
the
cabinet
to
optimize
the
mechanical
integrity
of
the
mechanism.
We
believe
this
helps
to
endow
the
mechanism
with
greater
stability
We
have
center
loading
in
some
of
our
other
models
for
the
same
reason.
Tne
display
is
simple
yet
informative.
It
will
provide
more
detailed
information
if
you
choose.
This
is
done
by
pressing
the
appropriate
buttons
on
the
front
panel
or
on
the
remote
control.
The
Remote
control
duplicates
all
of
the
controls
on
the
front
panel
and
also
has
Direct
Access
keys
for
the
tracks
on
the
CD.
INSTALLATION
OF
THE
RCD
950
Please
place
the
unit
on
a
DRY,
level
surface
away
from
direct
sunlight.
Avoid
placing
objects
on
top
of
the
RCD
950.
Do
not
allow
water
to
fall
onto
or
into
the
RCD
950
as
this
could
damage
the
circuitry.
Avoid
installing
the
CD
player
in
a
location
where
excessive
heat,
humidity,
vibration
or
moisture
will
be
a
problem,
such
as
directly
on
top
of
an
amplifier
where
excess
heat
will
build
up.
We
recommend
installing
the
RCD
950
in
furniture
designed
to
house
audio
components
This
will
allow
the
CD
player
to
be
on
its
own
shelf
with
nothing
stacked
on
top
of
it.
This
will
minimize
potential
interference
with
other
components
in
your
system,
such
as
your
tuner.
Component
furniture
will
also
reduce
or
suppress
vibration
and
all
audio
components
will
provide
improved
sound
when
free
from
vibration

We
recommend
that
the
RCD

be
connected
to
the

on
the
RCD

we
suggest
that
you
clean
it
with

A/ever
use
cleaning
compounds
or
solvents
to
clean
the
cabinet
as
they
may
damage
the
finish
or
remove
the
labels.
They
could
also
damage
the
circuitry
if
any
residue
falls
inside
the
CD
player.
There
are
NO
user
serviceable
parts
inside
the
RCD
950.
Please
do
not
open
the
cabinet
as
this
will
expose
you
to
the
risk
of
potentially
dangerous
high
voltage,
the
risk
of
shock
and
the
LASER
inside
could
also
be
HAZARDOUS
to
your
health
and
eyesight.
This
could
also
damage
the
circuits
and
possibly
void
your
warranty.

A
FINAL
WORD
FROM
ROTEL
ABOUT
THIS
CD

We
have
attempted
to
provide
a
very
good
sounding
machine
with
simple
features.
We
have
tried
to
do
this
at
a
reasonable
price
while
retaining
the
build
quality
for
which
we
are
rightly
famous.
We
believe
that
the
RCD

will
be
a
source
of

We
have
designed
this

for
high
performance
and
musicality
using
test
equipment
and
the
human
ear.
We
believe
that
both
methods
are
useful
in
the
design
of
audio
electronics.
This
is
time
consuming
but
we
feel
that
the
music
benefits
from
this
care
and
attention
to
detail.
We
realize
that
there
are
many
