3.1 | Gebrauchsanleitung lesen und aufbewahren
Diese Gebrauchsanleitung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf den genannten Rothewald Heck-Motorrad-
heber (kurz Motorradheber). Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise zu Sicherheit und Handhabung. Die
Gebrauchsanleitung, insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise, sorgfältig durchlesen, bevor der
Motorradheber verwendet wird. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Gebrauchsanleitung kann zu schweren
Verletzungen oder zu Schäden am Fahrzeug führen. Die Gebrauchsanleitung für die weitere Nutzung
gut aufbewahren. Wenn der Motorradheber an Dritte weitergereicht werden soll, unbedingt diese
Gebrauchsanleitung mitgeben.
Die Gebrauchsanleitung basiert auf den in der Europäischen Union gültigen Normen und Regeln und
spiegelt den aktuellen Stand der Technik wider. Im Ausland sind ggf. auch landesspezische Richt-
linien und Gesetze zu beachten
3.2 | Zeichenerklärung
Die folgenden Symbole und Signalwörter werden in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung, auf dem Rothewald
Motorradheber oder auf der Verpackung verwendet.
4 | Sicherheit
4.1 | Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der vorliegende Motorradheber erleichtert, richtig angewandt, unzählige Reparatur sowie
Wartungsarbeiten am Motorrad und ist geeignet für das Aufbocken von Motorrädern sowohl mit
paralleler Zweiarmschwinge als auch Motorrädern mit Prismabuchsen. Der Abstand
der Aufnahmen ist in einem Bereich von 27 - 37 cm verstellbar, sodass der Motorradheber für eine
Vielzahl von Motorrädern geeignet ist.
Der Rothewald Motorradheber muss jederzeit mit größter Sorgfalt gemäß dieser Gebrauchsanleitung
und den Vorgaben des Fahrzeugherstellers verwendet werden, um Schäden am Motorrad und
mögliche Verletzungen beteiligter Personen zu vermeiden.
Da es sich bei diesem Produkt um ein universell einsetzbares Produkt ohne spezische
Fahrzeugzuordnung handelt, ist es wichtig, sich vor dem ersten Gebrauch davon zu überzeugen, dass
sich das Produkt ohne Probleme sachgerecht am Motorradtyp verwenden lässt. Unbedingt auf die
Angaben der Fahrzeug-Bedienungsanleitung und die Vorgaben des Fahrzeugherstellers achten.
Der Motorradheber darf nur, wie in dieser Anleitung beschrieben, verwendet werden. Jede andere
Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und kann zu Sachschäden führen. Der Hersteller oder
Händler übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch nicht bestimmungsgemäßen oder falschen
Gebrauch entstanden sind.

4.2 | Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG!
Kippgefahr!
• Der Motorradheber ist ausschließlich für das Aufbocken/ Anheben von
Motorrädern konzipiert und darf nicht für andere Zwecke eingesetzt werden.
• Vor dem Gebrauch des Motorradhebers unbedingt vergewissern, dass dieser
korrekt montiert ist und alle Schraubverbindungen ausreichend fest angezogen
wurden.
• Benden sich Prismabuchsengewinde an der Fahrzeugschwinge, unbedingt
passende Prismabuchsen und die V-Adapter zum Anheben des Fahrzeuges
verwenden. Benden sich solche Aufnahmen nicht am Zweirad, so sollte das
Set bestehend aus Rothewald Motorradheber und Winkel-Adapter gewählt
werden, soweit eine parallele Zweiarmschwinge am Fahrzeug vorhanden ist.
Nur eine parallele Zweiarmschwinge darf zum Aufbocken benutzt werden.
• Bei Dreiecksschwingen, Bananenschwingen ohne Prismabuchsen sowie bei
Einarmschwingen ist eine Verwendung des Hebers nicht möglich.
• Schwingen mit Unterzug müssen über Prismabuchsen verfügen.
• Motorräder mit Kardanantrieb können nicht angehoben werden.
• Damit das Motorrad sicher getragen werden kann, müssen die Schwingenarme
in voller Breite auf die Schwingen-Auagen gesetzt werden.
• Bitte beachten, dass der Heber immer von zwei Personen bedient werden
muss.
• Den Motorradheber nur auf tragfähigem, absolut ebenem Untergrund (z.B.
Asphalt, Beton, Stein) verwenden. Niemals losen Sand bzw. weichen Erdboden
als Untergrund für den Motorradheber benutzen, um ein Wegbrechen/ Umfallen
des Motorrades und damit verbundene Schäden zu vermeiden.
• Unter keinen Umständen an das aufgebockte Fahrzeug lehnen - es besteht die
Gefahr des Kippens.
• Nicht auf das mit dem Motorradheber angehobene Motorrad setzen.
• Ein angehobenes Motorrad darf unter keinen Umständen mehr rangiert werden.
WARNUNG!
Gefahren für Kinder und Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten (beispielsweise teilweise Behinderte, ältere Per-
sonen mit Einschränkung ihrer physischen und mentalen Fähigkeiten) oder
Mangel an Erfahrung und Wissen (beispielsweise ältere Kinder)!
• Der Motorradheber darf von Kindern sowie von Personen mit verringerten
physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder bei Mangel an
Erfahrung und Wissen im Umgang mit Zweirädern nicht benutzt werden.
• Zum Lieferumfang gehörende Verpackungsfolie und Kleinteile von Kindern
fernhalten, da Erstickungsgefahr besteht.
VORSICHT!
Quetschgefahr!
• Ein Aufhalten mit den Fingern, Händen oder anderen Körperteilen unter dem
aufgebockten Fahrzeug ist verboten. Das Gleiche gilt für den Moment des

Auf- und Abbockens des Fahrzeugs. Auch auf beteiligte Personen achten.
Stets dafür sorgen, dass sich im Umfeld des aufgebockten Fahrzeuges keine
weiteren Personen und Haustiere aufhalten.
VORSICHT!
Gefahr von Ausrutschen, Stolpern und Stürzen!
Wartungsarbeiten am aufgebockten Fahrzeug und der Einsatz von Reinigungs-,
Pege- und Schmiermitten können eine Ausrutschgefahr sowie die Gefahr eines
Sturzes und daraus resultierende Verletzungen hervorrufen.
• Auf hervorstehende Teile achten und Stolpergefahren ggf. beseitigen.
HINWEIS!
Beschädigungsgefahr!
Unsachgemäßer Umgang mit dem Heber kann zu Beschädigungen des Hebers
oder Beschädigungen am Fahrzeug führen.
• Darauf achten, dass bei der Anwendung des Motorradhebers keine
Bremsleitung und kein Bremsgestänge abgeklemmt bzw. verbogen werden
kann.
• Den Motorradheber während der Benutzung auf einer tragfähigen,
kratzunempndlichen Oberäche platzieren und für ausreichenden Platzbedarf
in einem nicht explosionsgefährdeten Bereich sorgen.
• Den Heber nur mit dem Originalzubehör benutzen.
• Den Heber mit maximal 150 kg belasten.
• Auf einen gut beleuchteten Arbeitsplatz achten, um Verletzungen und
Beschädigungen vorzubeugen.
• Keine locker getragene Kleidung tragen, da die Gefahr durch Hängenbleiben an
hervorstehenden Teilen besteht. Daher ausschließlich enganliegende Kleidung
tragen. Nie Ringe, Ketten und anderen Schmuck tragen. Bei langen Haaren
Haarnetz tragen. Feste Schuhe oder Arbeitsschutzschuhe tragen.
5 | Montage
Der Motorradheber muss vor dem Verwenden zunächst montiert werden. Dazu werden die beiden
Aufbockwinkel in das Verbindungsrohr geschoben und von unten auf jeder Seite mit zwei Innen-
sechskantschrauben (Schlüsselgröße 4) und Unterlegscheiben verschraubt.

Anschließend die Distanzhülsen in die Räder stecken. Die Räder werden jeweils links und rechts
neben der Achsaufnahme platziert. Jetzt den Bolzen von außen durch die Räder sowie die Achsauf-
nahme führen und mit der Mutter festziehen (es werden die Schlüsselgrößen 13 und 14 mm benö-
tigt). Anschließend die Abdeckkappe auf die Mutter aufstecken. Auf der anderen Seite die gezeigten
Schritte wiederholen.
Danach den für das jeweilige Motorrad geeigneten Adapter innen in die entsprechenden Aufnahmen
stecken und leicht mit der Sterngriffschraube festziehen. Der Motorradheber ist für eine Aufnahme-
breite von ca. 270 bis 370 mm geeignet.
6 | Anwendung
6.1 | Allgemeines
Zunächst bitte unbedingt prüfen, ob das Motorrad die Voraussetzungen für eine sichere und gefahr-
lose Anwendung des Motorradhebers erfüllt.
Die maximale Direktlast des Motorradhebers beträgt 150 kg - somit darf das Gesamtgewicht des
Zweirades inkl. Zubehör 300 kg nicht überschreiten.
Die Hinterradschwinge muss in ihrer Bauform für den Rothewald Motorradheber geeignet sein. Es
müssen entweder Prismabuchsen oder eine parallele Zweiarmschwinge vorhanden sein. Soll das
Hinterrad demontiert werden, ist die Achse vor dem Aufbocken des Motorrades zu lösen. Dies gilt
auch für sonstige sehr festsitzende Verschraubungen am Zweirad.
HINWEIS!
Beschädigungsgefahr!
Das Fahrzeug nie allein aufbocken – grundsätzlich und unbedingt von einer zweiten kräftigen Person
helfen lassen, die das Motorrad am Lenker in senkrechter Position sicher festhält.
• Ein Anheben des Zweirades, wenn es schräg auf dem Seitenständer steht, führt durch die anfangs
einseitige Belastung zur Beschädigung des Rothewald Motorradhebers und evtl. zum Abrutschen
des Fahrzeugs.
6.2 | Anwendung mit gummierten Winkeladaptern direkt an der Schwinge
Den Rothewald Motorradheber mit den gummierten Winkeladaptern auf die Breite der Hinterrad-
schwingenarme einstellen. Dazu hält eine zweite Person das Fahrzeug senkrecht fest. Die Auagen
von hinten an die Schwingenarme des Motorrades heranführen und die Aufnahmen so verschieben,
dass diese komplett unter beide Schwingenarme passen. Damit das Motorrad sicher getragen wer-
den kann, müssen die Schwingenarme in voller Breite auf die Schwingenaufnahmen gesetzt werden.

Grundsätzlich dürfen die Schwingenarme nicht stark abgewinkelt am Fahrzeug positioniert sein.
Achsen, Teile der Radjustierung, Stoßdämpferaufnahmen und andere hervorstehende Bauteile dürfen
nicht auf die Schwingenaufnahmen aufgelegt werden, um Schäden am Motorradheber oder am Fahr-
zeug zu vermeiden. Den Heber mit den Auagen am hinteren Drittel der Schwingenarme ansetzen,
sodass diese mit ganzer Breite sicher auiegen, das Fahrzeug im angehobenen Zustand jedoch nicht
von den Auagen rutscht.
Vor dem Anheben des Motorrades, noch einmal vergewissern, dass der Rothewald Motorradheber
sicher zusammengebaut wurde und dass der Helfer das Fahrzeug sicher in Position hält. Die Aufnah-
men mit den Sterngriffschrauben xieren. Dann den Rothewald Motorradheber am Verbindungsrohr
kraftvoll, aber langsam und gleichmäßig unter das Fahrzeug drücken, bis dieses auf dem Heber ruht.
6.3 | Anwendung mit V-Adaptern für Prismabuchsen
Zunächst prüfen, ob an der Schwinge für den Rothewald Motorradheber geeignete, sicher ver-
schraubte Prismabuchsen vorhanden sind. Ggf. müssen separat zu erwerbende Prismabuchsen an
den dafür vorgesehenen Innengewinden an der Schwinge angebracht werden.
Auf Gewindegrößen achten.
Achsen, Teile der Radjustierung, Stoßdämpferaufnahmen und andere hervorstehende Bauteile des
Motorrades dürfen nicht als Auage genutzt werden, um Schäden am Motorradheber oder am Fahr-
zeug zu vermeiden.
Den Motorradheber mit den V-Adaptern auf die Breite der Hinterradschwinge einstellen. Dazu hält
eine zweite Person das Fahrzeug senkrecht fest. Den Motorradheber mit den V-Adaptern von hinten
an das Motorrad heranführen und die V-Adapter so verschieben, dass diese genau in die Prisma-
buchsen eingreifen.
Bevor das Motorrad angehoben wird, noch einmal vergewissern, dass der Rothewald Motorradheber
sicher zusammengebaut wurde und dass der Helfer das Fahrzeug sicher in Position hält. Die Aufnah-
men mit den Sterngriffschrauben xieren. Dann den Rothewald Motorradheber mit den V-Adaptern
so an den Prismabuchsen ansetzen, dass diese satt in den V-Adaptern zu liegen kommen und den
Motorradheber dann am Verbindungsrohr kraftvoll, aber langsam und gleichmäßig unter das Fahr-
zeug drücken, bis dieses auf dem Rothewald Motorradheber ruht.
6.4 | Abbocken
Beim Abbocken des Fahrzeugs ebenfalls sehr behutsam vorgehen. Eine zweite Person sorgt dafür,
dass das Fahrzeug nach dem Abbocken zunächst senkrecht gehalten wird und anschließend auf
dem Seitenständer sicher abgestellt wird.
Ist das Motorrad vorne und hinten aufgebockt, zuerst das Vorderrad abbocken.
Den Motorradheber am Verbindungsrohr langsam und gleichmäßig nach oben ziehen, bis das
Rad wieder Bodenkontakt hat.

7 | Lagerung und Pege
Den Rothewald Motorradheber in einem vor Witterungseinüssen geschützten Raum aufbewahren.
Die Temperatur sollte zwischen +1°C und +55°C bei einer Luftfeuchtigkeit von max. 90% (nicht kon-
densierend) liegen.
Sichtbare Metallteile mit wachshaltigen Kfz-Pegemitteln vor Korrosion schützen. Gleitende Teile
können mit Silikonspray geschmiert werden. Die Auageäche nur mit Wasser reinigen.
8 | Gewährleistung
Für das vorliegende Produkt gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistung von zwei Jahren. Der Gewährleis-
tungszeitraum beginnt ab dem Kaufdatum. Gebrauchsspuren, Zweckentfremdung, nicht bestim-
mungsgemäßer Gebrauch und Schäden, die aus einem Unfall, einer Manipulation oder einem
Reparaturversuch durch unautorisierte Kundendienste oder Personen resultieren oder technisch
abgeänderte Produkte sind von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.
9 | Entsorgung
Verpackungsmaterial sowie das Produkt selbst, sind gemäß den regionalen behördlichen
Bestimmungen zu entsorgen.

3.1 | Reading and keeping the instructions for use
These instructions for use apply exclusively to the aforementioned Rothewald Rear Paddock Stand
(for short: paddock stand). They contain important information on safety and handling. Read these
instructions for use carefully, in particular the safety instructions, before using the paddock stand.
Failure to follow these instructions can lead to serious injury or damage to your motorcycle. Keep
these instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you pass the paddock stand on to a third
party, you must also hand over these instructions.
The instructions for use are based on the standards and regulations applicable in the European
Union and reect current state-of-the-art technology. When abroad, you should also observe any
country-specic guidelines and laws.
3.2 | Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in these instructions for use, on the Rothewald
Paddock Stand or on the packaging.
4 | Safety
4.1 | Intended use
This paddock stand, if used properly, makes it easier to carry out countless repair and maintenance
tasks on the motorcycle and is suitable for jacking up both motorcycles with parallel twin-sided
swing arm and motorcycles with bobbins. The spacing of the supports is adjustable within a range of
27–37cm, meaning that the paddock stand is suitable for a large number of motorcycles.
In order to prevent damage to the motorcycle and possible personal injuries, the Rothewald Paddock
Stand must always be used with the utmost care and in accordance with these instructions for use
and the vehicle manufacturer's specications.
Since this is a universal product and not intended for a specic motorcycle, it is important to make
sure that it is suitable for your motorcycle model before using it for the rst time. It is imperative that
you comply with the stipulations in the vehicle operating instructions and the vehicle manufacturer's
specications.
The paddock stand must only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is
considered improper use and can result in material damage. The manufacturer and supplier accept
no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

4.2 | Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of toppling!
• The paddock stand is designed solely for jacking up/raising motorcycles, and
must not be used for any other purpose.
• Before using the paddock stand, it is imperative to make sure that it is correctly
assembled and all the screw connections are properly tightened.
• If your motorcycle is tted with bobbin threads on the swing arm, always
use compatible bobbins and the V adapters for lifting the motorcycle. If
your motorcycle does not have bobbin threads, you should choose the set
comprising Rothewald Paddock Stand and angle adapter, provided that your
motorcycle has a parallel twin-sided swing arm. Only a parallel twin-sided swing
arm must be used for jacking up.
• The paddock stand cannot be used on motorcycles with triangle swing arms,
banana swing arms without bobbins, or single-sided swing arms.
• Swing arms with a bottom strut must have bobbins.
• Motorcycles with a drive shaft cannot be lifted.
• The full width of the swing arms must rest on the swing-arm supports so that
the motorcycle is supported safely and securely.
• Be aware that the paddock stand must always be operated by two persons.
• Only use the paddock stand on a perfectly level surface with sucient load-
bearing capacity (e.g. asphalt, concrete, stone). Never use the paddock stand
on loose sand or soft earth because the motorcycle could slip/topple over and
cause damage or injury.
• Do not under any circumstances lean against the raised vehicle– there is a risk
of it toppling over.
• Do not sit on the motorcycle while it is raised on the paddock stand.
• Once jacked up, a motorcycle must not under any circumstances be manoeuvred.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical
and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The paddock stand must not be used by children or persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities, or those with a lack of experience and
knowledge of dealing with motorcycles.
• The packaging lm and small parts must be kept away from children, as there
is a risk of suffocation.
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing!
• Placing your ngers, hands or other body parts under the vehicle whilst it is
jacked up is strictly prohibited. The same applies during the process of raising
or lowering the vehicle. Also pay attention to the safety of other persons
involved. Always make sure that there are no other persons or pets in the
vicinity of the vehicle while it is jacked up.

CAUTION!
Risk of slipping, tripping and falling!
Maintenance work on the raised vehicle and the use of cleaning agents, care
products and lubricants can create a risk of slipping and falling with resultant
injuries.
• Beware of projecting parts and remove any tripping hazards.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the lift stand can lead to damage to the lift stand or
damage to the vehicle.
• Make sure that no brake line or brake linkage can be squashed or bent when
you use the paddock stand.
• During use, place the paddock stand on a scratch-resistant surface with
sucient load-bearing capacity and make sure that there is sucient space in
a location with a non-explosive atmosphere.
• Only use the paddock stand with the original accessories.
• Do not exceed the maximum load of 150kg.
• In order to prevent injuries and damage, make sure that the place where you are
working is well lit.
• Do not wear loose-tting clothing, as there is a risk of catching on projecting
parts. Therefore, only wear close-tting clothing. Never wear rings, chains or
other jewellery. Persons with long hair should wear a hair net. Wear sturdy
shoes or work safety shoes.
5 | Installation
The paddock stand rst has to be assembled before it can be used. To do so, the two jacking arms
are inserted into the connection tube and screwed in place from below on each side with two
hexagon socket screws (wrench size4) and washers.

axle mount. Then insert the bolt from the outside, through the wheels and the axle mount and fasten
it with the nut (wrench sizes 13 and 14mm are required). Then connect the cap to the nut. Repeat
the indicated steps on the other side.
Then connect the suitable adapter for the respective motorcycle to the corresponding supports
inside and gently tighten them with the star grip. The paddock stand is suitable for a support width
of approximately 270 to 370mm.
6 | How to use
6.1 | General information
First, it is imperative that you whether the motorcycle meets the requirements for safe use with the
paddock stand.
The maximum load of the paddock stand is 150kg, meaning that the total weight of the motorcycle,
including accessories, must not exceed 300kg.
The design of the rear swing arm must be suitable for the Rothewald Paddock Stand. Your
motorcycle must have either bobbins or a parallel twin-sided swing arm. If you intend to remove the
rear wheel, the axle must be unfastened before jacking up the motorcycle. The same applies to other
components that are bolted tightly to the motorcycle.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
Never jack up the bike on your own– always make sure that you have a second, strong person to
help you, who can hold the motorcycle securely upright using the handlebar.
• Do not jack up the motorcycle when it is standing at an angle on the side stand, because the initial
one-sided load will damage the Rothewald Paddock Stand and may cause the motorcycle to slip off.
6.2 | Use with rubberised angle adapters on the swing arm itself
Set the Rothewald Paddock Stand to the width of the rear wheel swing arm using the rubberised
angle adapters. To do this, a second person must hold the vehicle rmly to keep it upright. Bring the
supports up to the motorcycle's swing arms from the rear, and adjust the adapters so that they t
fully under both swing arms. The full width of the swing arms must rest on the supports so that the
motorcycle is held securely.

The swing arms must not be positioned at a pronounced angle on the motorcycle. To prevent
damage to the paddock stand and your motorcycle, do not place axles, wheel adjustment
components, shock mounts or other projecting parts of your motorcycle on the swing-arm supports.
Place the paddock stand with the supports against the rear third of the swing arms so that they rest
securely over their entire width, but the raised vehicle does not slip off the supports.
Before you jack up the motorcycle, check once again that the Rothewald Paddock Stand has been
assembled properly, and that your assistant is holding the motorcycle securely in position. Secure
the supports with the star grips. Then grip the front end of the paddock stand and push it forcefully,
but slowly and steadily, under the motorcycle until it rests on the stand.
6.3 | Use with V adapters for bobbins
First check that the swing arm is tted with bobbins that are suitable for the Rothewald Paddock
Stand and that they are securely screwed in. If your motorcycle does not have bobbins, you will need
to purchase a set and install them in the internal threads on the swing arm.
Check the thread sizes.
To prevent damage to the paddock stand and to your motorcycle, you must not use axles, wheel
adjustment components, shock absorber mounts or other projecting parts of your motorcycle as
supports.
Adjust the V adapters on the paddock stand to the width of the rear wheel swing arm. To do this, a
second person must hold the vehicle rmly to keep it upright. Bring the paddock stand with tted
V adapters up to your motorcycle from the rear and adjust the V adapters so that they engage the
bobbins precisely.
Before you jack up your motorcycle, check once again that the Rothewald Paddock Stand has been
assembled properly, and that your assistant is holding the motorcycle securely in position. Secure
the supports with the star grips. Now position the Rothewald Paddock Stand with tted V adapters
so that the bobbins sit fully in the adapters. Then push the paddock stand rmly, but slowly and
steadily, by the connection tube under the vehicle until it rests on the Rothewald Paddock Stand.
6.4 | Lowering
You must also be very careful when lowering your motorcycle. A second person makes sure that
the vehicle is rst held in an upright position after lowering, and is then parked securely on the side
stand.
If the motorcycle is on a stand at the front and back, lower the front wheel rst.
Pull the paddock stand slowly and evenly upwards by the connection tube until the wheel is in
contact with the oor again.

7 | Storage and care
Store the Rothewald Paddock Stand in a room which is protected from the elements. The
temperature should be between +1°C and +55°C with a max. humidity of 90% (non-condensing).
Protect the visible metal parts against corrosion using wax-based vehicle care products. Moving
parts can be lubricated with silicone spray. Only use water to clean the supports.
8 | Warranty
This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period begins on the date
of purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, use for anything other than the
intended purpose, damage caused by an accident or by modications or attempted repairs by
unauthorised persons, or products which have been modied technically.
9 | Disposal
Dispose of packaging material and the product itself according to applicable local
regulations.
