Congratulations on the purchase of your new Royal Prestige®Slow Cooker
Base. This versatile cooking accessory can help in the kitchen in many ways.
Made of stainless steel, this Slow Cooker Base provides a convenient way to
slow cook and serve foods while keeping warm.
You can cook a wide variety of foods with your Slow Cooker Base, the
possibilities are unlimited.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of re, property damage, electrical shock and
personal injury, including the following:
• Readallinstructionspriortouse.
• Always attach plug to the base rst, then plug the cord into the wall
outlet. After cooking and serving unplug cord from wall outlet. Let base
cool completely before removing cord. Do not leave electrical heating
base plugged in when not in use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs, or allow to
cool completely.
• To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs or heating
element in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
• Unplug your Slow Cooker Base from the outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning.
• Do not operate your Slow Cooker Base if the cord or plug has been
damaged in any way.
• Do not operate your Slow Cooker Base if it has malfunctioned or has
been damaged in any manner. Return you Slow Cooker Base to the Royal
Prestige Service Center for inspection, repair or adjustment.
• The use of any accessories or attachments not recommended by Royal
Prestige may cause injuries and will void any warranty.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or other surface
area, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in an oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving a hot appliance with
hot liquid.
• Do not use appliance for any use other than intended.

Clean before usInG:
• Wipe the Slow Cooker Base with a damp soft cloth.
CaUTIOn: To prevent personal injury or electric shock, do not immerse the
Slow Cooker Base, its cord or plugs in water or any other liquid.
usInG sloW CooKer base:
1. Place Slow Cooker Base on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface away from
any edge. Do not block air ow under the base.
2. Place food into appropriately sized Royal Prestige pan, cover, and place
onto the Slow Cooker Base.
3. Attach cord to base, and then plug into a 120 volt AC electric
outlet ONLY.
CaUTIOn: To prevent personal injury or property damage, inspect cord for
damage or wear before each use. Do not use your product if it or
its cord has been damaged or if it is not working properly.
4. There are 4 numbered heat settings on the base, 1 to 4.
• Heat Setting # 1 should only be used to warm baked goods, dinner
rolls, mufns, or to keep fully cooked foods warm while serving.
• Heat Settings #2 - #4 are used for the actual cooking of foods.
• For temperature control, set the dial to the desired number, or between
numbers for additional temperature control.

Set heat setting and cook food for recommended time given in recipe based
on cooking method used.
HoW To use

Followingaregeneralcookingtimeguidelines:
Meat and vegetable combinations typically need:
• 6-10 hours of cooking time at setting #2 (low)
• 4-6 hours of cooking time at setting #3 (medium)
• 2-3 hours of cooking time at setting #4 (high).
Meats will become the most tender when cooked for longer periods of time
at lower heat settings. Avoid removing slow cooker cover except to stir
or add ingredients. Frequent removal of the cover will result in increased
cooking times.
• After food is cooked, reduce heat to setting #1 for serving or, unplug
cord from outlet to turn Slow Cooker Base off.

HeaT seTTInG CHarT:
SETTING: USE TO:
Setting #1 Warm and Serve: Doughnuts, sweet rolls, mufns, dinner rolls.
Slow Simmer: Dried fruits.
Keep Warm to Serve: Stews, soups, sauces, roasts, ribs, chicken or
hot beverages.
Setting #2 Simmer (6-10 hours): Stews, soups, sauces, roasts, ribs, chicken,
baked beans.
Setting #3 Simmer (4 to 6 hours): Stews, soups, chicken, pork, roasts.
Setting #4 Quick Simmer ( 2 to 3 hours): Stews, soups, chicken,
pork, roasts.
Cook: Vegetables.
Thicken: Sauces and gravies.
CleanInG InsTruCTIons afTer use:
CaUTIOn: To prevent personal injury or property damage, allow Slow
Cooker Base to cool completely before cleaning. Always unplug cord from
electric outlet.
1. Wipe base with a damp cloth to remove drips or cooking residues.
2. Dry with a soft cloth before storing.
