SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the safety instructions in the Operation Manual before operating Royal Robot 1300
and keep this manual handy for your future reference. Observe the basic safety rules to prevent
any occurrence of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Safety Instructions
1. Please read the Operation Manual before operating Royal Robot 1300.
2. Do not operate Royal Robot 1300 outdoors.
3. Before starting Royal Robot 1300, be sure to install dust bin filter properly in case of any
damage of Royal Robot 1300.
4. Do not operate Royal Robot 1300 on wet floor or in moisture conditions, e.g. bathroom.
Water and moisture could damage the circuit board in e.
5. Prior to operate Royal Robot 1300 remove any loose articles on the floor such as clothes,
paper, loose cables, and extension cords as well as making sure to lift curtains and drapes off
the floor to avoid any possible accidents. In case of a loose cable is tangled with Royal Robot
1300, the cable might move around with Royal Robot 1300 as Royal Robot 1300 works and
topple down the table, chairs, or cabinet and cause property damage.
6. Never stand or sit on Royal Robot 1300. Beware of children or pets while Royal Robot 1300 is
in operation.
7. Never use Royal Robot 1300 to clean up sparking cigarette butts or burning ashes from
fireplace.
8. Never use Royal Robot 1300 to clean up combustible or highly volatile liquids such as
gasoline.
9. While Royal Robot 1300 is in operation, make sure all doors leading outside are closed.
10. During operation, the heat vent should avoid being clogged. If heat vent clogged, Royal Robot
1300 could be damaged.
11. If Royal Robot 1300 is malfunctioned or damaged by force, do not operate Royal Robot 1300
regardless the cause. Please call your local dealer for service information.
12. Turn off the power and remove the battery from Royal Robot 1300 if the unit will not in use for a
long period of time.
13. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
person responsible for their safety.
---Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
14. Plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the
appliance.
15. Automatic battery-operated cleaners shall also be provided with cautionary instructions
for room preparation and constant care.
Battery and Recharging Instructions
1. The battery is rechargeable. Please use the voltage and current specified on the
Packing. If you are not sure of the voltage and current of your house, please contact your
local power company or a licensed electrician.
2. Use only the battery supplied with your Royal Robot 1300.
3. Charging adaptor is for indoors only.
4. Use only the charging adaptor supplied with your Royal Robot 1300.
5. Do not recharge the battery if the cable or plug of the battery is damaged.
6. Never touch the charger, plug or cable with damp hands.
7. If Royal Robot 1300 requires cleaning, unplug the adaptor, switch off the unit and take out the
battery.
8. Please take out the battery pack before disposing of the unit.
9. Please switch off Royal Robot 1300 before taking out the battery.
10. Please recycle and dispose the waste battery properly.

CAUTION!! "Do not stare at the UV light!" Ultraviolet light is dangerous to your
eyes. Even a short exposure can damage your eyes, cause severe
irritation and possible loss of sight.

You may turned on the UV light after make change on Side brush, Battery and Anti-Cliff
sensors. It is not necessary to turn on the UV light when Dusting paper holder is
installed.

Proof Test:
Please try either one of the following two methods to test the installation of
docking station, if the vacuum cannot go back to the docking station and
charge successfully, then please replace the docking station to the proper
height.
1. Test by the unit, press down the selection button, do not release, and turn
on the power switch of the unit, when the unit begins to move, release the
selection button. The unit will switch the mode to return to the Docking
Station for charging. Please refer to Fig.1.
2. Test by the remote control, turn on the power switch of the unit, press the
button "Docking" on the remote control, the unit will go back to the dock-
ing station for recharging. Please refer to Fig. 2.

Make sure the power switch of T285D and UV light are turned off.
Installing and Removing Side Brush:
To install: Remove the side brush caps from the bottom of cleaner. Put the brushes
directly onto the holder and press on the caps to fix it.(Fig. 3)
Then spread the brush bristle evenly as shown in Fig. 5
To remove: Hold the brush bristle and pull upward to remove the brush.(Fig. 4)

Removing Paper Holder:
Remove the dusting paper holder following the instruction as below diagram.

Installing Dusting Paper and Holder:
1. Flat the dusting paper and put it on the floor or table. Then place the holder (the side
with 4 stoppers face up) on the paper at the midpoint as below diagram.
2. Remove 4 stoppers from the holder, fold the hem of dusting paper on two sides back to
the holder, and place back 4 stoppers on top of the paper then press firmly to fix the
paper onto holder as below diagram.
3. Place the dusting paper holder to the bottom of unit by aiming one bolt of holder at the
hole (near the big wheel) on cleaner, click the holder on the cleaner, and then do it again
for the other side.
NOTE:
1. Do not use mopping function on the carpet. At the same time you should remove the
side brushes to prevent it from damaging the brushes.
2. If you don’t need to use mopping function, please remove the dusting paper holder from
the cleaner before you turn it on for cleaning.

Installing and Removing Remote Control Battery:
※Remove insulation sheet before use remote.
Turn the Remote Control upside down. Press position A and pull out position B of the
battery slot at same time.
Put the battery with the positive “+” side facing up.
Push-in the battery slot as below diagram..

2. Press the two points “A” (marked in the below diagram) and slide the battery cover
in the direction of arrow “B” (marked in the below diagram).
3. Insert the battery into the battery compartment.
Be sure to orient the battery contacts with those of the unit.
Slide back the battery cover to close it.
1. Make sure the power switch of is turned off.

Recharging Battery:
1. Before charging, please check if the battery is properly mounted and turn on the
power switch.
2. Two ways to charge the battery:
A. Plug the d.c. end of the adaptor into d.c. jack at the side of the unit first, and then
plug the a.c end of the adaptor into the a.c. power outlet on the wall. (Please con-
nect the adaptor to the unit first before connecting to the a.c power outlet.)
B. Make sure the docking station is installed properly, place the unit to the docking
station, make sure the contact points at the back of the unit is contacted with the
contact plate at the docking station.

3. When charging, the LED indicator below the (CHARGING) on
1300 (as above diagram) will flash green, and it will stay green when the cleaner has
been uninterruptedly charged for 6~8 hours.
4. When the Royal Robot 1300 is in "Battery Low" situation, the LED indicator below

Make sure the power switch of and UV light are
turned off.
There are three “Anti-Cliff” sensors at the bottom of to prevent the
unit from falling down stairs.If the distance between the stair and the ground is shorter
than usual, please adjust all windows of “Anti-cliff” sensors to “◎” or “◎” or “◎” or “◎”
position to prevent the cleaner from falling down stairs. Please test it before it starts to
clean.
ATTENTION: If the color of the floor is dark (ex. Black), it means that reflectivity of
the floor is bad, at this time, you have to open the window to a larger scale.
Please refer to the criteria of adjustment for adjusting the windows.

ADJUSTMENT OF ANTI-CLIFF SENSORS

Preparation for Operation:
1. Install the side brushes and install the battery according to the manual.
2. Turn off the power switch on the side of the unit, and charge the battery directly from
D.C. Jack for 6~8 hours prior to the first operation.
3. To ensure the best efficiency of the unit, first is to remove clothes, paper, cable,
extension cable scattered on the floor, roll up the curtains and drapes if any to avert
the possible accident. In case of the cable entangled with the cleaner, the cable
could move around as the cleaner is working and might topple down the table,
chairs, even cabinet or cupboard.

Action
Start the unit. Select the work time(Please refer to page 17).
Move forward with vacuum on and will stop when bumper encounter
any obstacle or by pressing “STOP” button.
Turn left . Pressing and holding the button makes it turn left continuously.
Turn right . Pressing and holding the button makes it turn right continuously.
Stop the unit immediately.
The unit going backward for 20 cm.The unit doesn't have the back anti-cliff
sensor to prevent it from falling from stairs when moving backward.
Switch the vacuum power or to turn off vacuum and sweeper (with mop
function on only).
Search the docking station for recharge.
Operate in the random mode continuously until the battery low.
Operates unit in the along-the-wall mode continuously until the battery low.
Operates unit in the “Z” type mode continuously until the battery low.
Move in spiral pattern with vacuum on until the bumper encounter an
obstacle or stairs, then the unit will continue operate in “AUTO” mode with
max. working time and until battery low.

Functions of buttons:
* "Set": Press “Set” to switch between setting the present time and
the working schedule.
A. Set present time:
Press "Set" once, "SET CLK" will flash.
Press 2 "Select" to switch among time setting modes of Hour, Minute,
and Day of Week.
Press 3 “+” and 4 “-” for adjustment of the digits.
Press 1 "Set" again when finish time setting.
B. Set working schedule:
Press "Set" twice, “” (on the left side of the screen) will flash.
Press "Select" to switch among "Hour" /"Minute" / "Day of Week" to do
the setting as described in paragraph A. If no time setting was done
before, the screen will show “--:--”, press “+” and “-” to adjust the digits.
*** With “” shown on the LCD display indicates the working sche-
dule is set completely.
* “+”: Press “+” for increment adjustment purpose.
* “-”: Press “-“ for decrement adjustment purpose.

Basic Operation:
→Manual work
※When LED Indicator lights on.
→ Check:
. Dust bin is full.
. Intake Valve is stuck with dirt.
. Wipe out the inner and outside of Intake Valve area.
1. Press the “Working time selection buttom” on the control panel to select the
work time: Short, about 20 minutes, Middle, about 40 minutes, Max, until
battery low. Please refer to page 17 for selection sequence details. Pressed after
2 seconds later, the unit begins cleaning automatically.
2. After the work is completed, the unit will emit a buzz of warning and stop. If the
power indication lamp turns to Red (battery low) at the same time, the unit will
buzz twice of warning every minute indicating that the battery needs immediate
charging.
Stop operation
1. To stop the operation of the unit immediately, you can turn off the power switch
on the right of the unit, or lift the unit off the floor, the unit will stop 7 seconds later.
2. If you want the unit to continue working, place the unit on the floor and reset the
power switch of the cleaner and select the working time as expected.
Safety Devices
1. The unit will stop after 7 seconds lifted up from the floor.
2. The unit will STOP when wheel jammed for more than 7 seconds.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Maintenance Method:
The operation and maintenance of the is very simple. After each use,
clean any dirt left behind on the dust bin and filter. It is not necessary to clean the intake
after every use.
Cleaning Dust Bin:
1. Lift up the cover at "A" in the direction as arrow "B" shown in below diagram to
remove the Top Cover from the cleaner.
2. Take out the dust bin from the cleaner.
