Read all instructions before using the refrigerator.
DANGER or WARNING:
Never clean refrigerator parts with ammable uids. The fumes can create a re hazard or
explosion. Do not store or use gasoline or any other ammable vapors and liquids in the
vicinity of this or any other refrigerator. The fumes can create a re hazard or an explosion.

1. Use this refrigerator only for its intended purpose as described in this manual
2. This refrigerator must be properly installed in accordance with the installation
instructions before it is used. See grounding instructions in the installation section.
3. Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the plug rmly
and pull straight out from the outlet.

4. Repair or replace immediately, all electric service cords that have become frayed or
otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its
length, the plug or the connector end.
5. Unplug your refrigerator before cleaning or before making any repairs.
NOTE: If for any reason this product requires service, we strongly recommend that a
certied technician performs the service.
6. Do not use any electrical device or any sharp instrument in defrosting your refrigerator.
7. If your old refrigerator is not being used, we recommend that you remove the doors and
leave the shelves in place. This will reduce the possibility of danger to children.
8. After your refrigerator is in operation, do not touch the cold surfaces in the freezer
compartment, particularly when hands are damp or wet. Skin may adhere to these
extremely cold surfaces.
9. Do not refreeze foods that have been thawed completely.
10. This refrigerator should not be recessed or built-in in an enclosed cabinet. It is designed
for freestanding installation only.
11. Do not operate your refrigerator in the presence of explosive fumes
12. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process,
other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
13. Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance,
unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
14. Never allow children to play with, operate, or crawl inside the refrigerator. Before you
throw away your old refrigerator or freezer:
• Take off the doors.
• Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.
15. The appliance has to be unplugged before carrying out user maintenance on the
appliance.
16. This appliance can be used by children age 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and maintenance should not be made by children without supervision.
17. If any component part is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
18. Please dispose the refrigerator according to local government regulations as the unit
contains ammable gas and refrigerant. All refrigeration products contain refrigerants,
which under the guidelines of federal, provincial or municipal law, must be removed
before disposal. It is the owners responsibility to comply with regulations when disposing
of this product.
19. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar environments.
20. Do not store or use gasoline or any inammable liquors and liquids inside or in the
vicinity of refrigerator.
21. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. If the power cord is too short, have a
qualied electrician install an outlet near the appliance. Use of an extension can
negatively affect the unit’s performance.
NOTE: Power Interruptions: Occasionally there may be power interruptions due to
thunderstorms or other causes. Remove the power cord from AC outlet when a power
outage occurs. When power has been restored, replug power cord to AC outlet. If outage is
for a prolonged period, inspect and discard spoiled or thawed food in freezer. Clean freezer
before reusing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
• Remove the exterior and interior packing.
• Before connecting the refrigerator to the power source, let the unit stand upright for
approximately 4 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling
system from possible improper handling during transportation.
• Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth. (Refer to Cleaning
Instruction Section)
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
• Do not place your refrigerator next to a heating vent, a range, or in direct sunlight.
• Do not open door more often than necessary.
• Keep the door closed as much as possible, especially, in hot and humid weather.
• Cover foods to reduce moisture build up inside the refrigerator.
• Store only foods that require refrigeration.
• For proper air circulation, do not overll your refrigerator shelves
INSTALLING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
• This appliance is designed to be free standing only, and should not be recessed or built-in.
• Place your refrigerator on a oor that is strong enough to support the refrigerator when it is
fully loaded.
• Allow 2” (5cm) of space between each side of the refrigerator. This allows for proper air
ventilation. Adjust the feet to keep the refrigerator level.
• Locate the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater,
radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase
electrical consumption. Ambient temperature below 10°C (50°F) or above 29°C (85°F) will
hinder the performance of this appliance.
• This unit is not designed for use in a garage or any other outside installation.
• Avoid locating the refrigerator in damp areas.
• Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under
any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any
questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certied
electrician or an authorized service center. This unit is not designed to be installed in an RV
or used with an inverter.
• After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, turn the unit on and allow the unit to cool
down for 2~3 hours under before placing food in the refrigerator or freezer compartment.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
WARNING: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the
power cord is damaged, have it replaced by a certied electrician.
• This refrigerator should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this
refrigerator is equipped with a three-prong plug which matches with standard three prong
wall outlets to minimize the possibility of electrical shock.

• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third ground prong from the power
cord supplied.
• This refrigerator requires a standard 115 Volt A.C. ~/60Hz electrical outlet with three-prong
ground.
• This refrigerator is not designed to be used with an inverter.
• The cord should be secured behind the refrigerator and not left exposed or dangling to
prevent accidental injury.
• Never unplug the refrigerator by pulling the power cord. Always grip the plug rmly and pull
straight out from the receptacle.
• Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. If the power cord is too short, have a
qualied electrician or service technician install an outlet near the appliance. Use of an
extension cord can negatively affect the performance of the unit.
REVERSING THE DOOR HINGE
1. Remove the top hinge cover.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen and remove the screws holding the top hinge in
place.
3. Remove top hinge and carefully lift off the door.
4. Remove the screw hole plugs from the opposite side and insert the plugs in the screw
hole openings of the just removed screws.
5. Remove any loose items in the refrigerator and carefully turn refrigerator on its back,
remove both leveling legs and place in a secure area.
6. Loosen the screws holding the lower hinge bracket to the refrigerator and remove screws
and bracket.
7. Remove (2) screws from the other side and insert in the previously removed screw holes.
8. Remove door pin by turning counterclockwise and reinsert to the underside of the bracket
and tighten.
9. Align bracket and insert (2) remaining screws into the holes provided.
10. Align hole in the door with the door pin and washer and gently push down until rm.
11. Align upper hinge bracket with screw holes insert screws and partially secure, check that
door and cabinet are properly aligned and then secure tightly.
12. Replace hinge cap.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Your refrigerator has a thermostat for regulating the temperature. The temperature control is
located on the top tof the refrigerator compartment.
The rst time you turn the unit on, adjust the temperature control knob to “4” and run the
refrigerator for at least 2 hours before placing food inside. This will help ensure the inside
cabinet is thoroughly chilled.
The range of the refrigerator temperature control is from position “1” to “7”, with “7” being the
coldest setting. Adjust the temperature control to the setting that best suits your needs.
Note: The setting of “4” should be appropriate for most home or ofce use.
Note: Turning the temperature control knob to “O” position stops the cooling cycle but it does
not shut off the power to the unit.
Note: If the unit is unplugged or loses power, allow 4 minutes before restarting it or
re-plugging it in
Note: Large amounts of food will lower the cooling efciency of the appliance. Do not place
item on the air outlet. Always leave space for airow.
If you choose to change the thermostat setting, adjust the thermostat control by one
increment at a time. Allow several hours for temperature to stabilize between adjustments.
THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT
This compartment is designed for making ice cubes and for short-term food storage
(a few days at most).
This compartment is not cold enough to freeze foods safely for extended periods of time.
• If ice cube tray freezes to the oor, pour a little warm water around it to loosen it. Do not
use boiling water, which can damage plastic parts, or sharp metal objects such as a knife or
screwdriver, which can damage the cooling system tubing.
Wash tray in lukewarm water only. Do not wash in the dishwasher.
DISPENSE-A-CAN
The refrigerator has a convenient Dispense-A-Can” storage compartment. Simply stack cans
vertically, loading from the top and drawing them from the bottom.
SHELVING
The refrigerator has shelves that can be adjusted to different levels that will suit your food
storage needs. The door shelves provide storage for small and large items.

MAINTENANCE
CLEANING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
• Upon installation of your new appliance, it is recommended that it be cleaned thoroughly.
Turn off the refrigerator rst and then unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
• Remove all food content.
ONGOING MAINTENANCE
For efcient operation, it is recommended that you clean your appliance about every
3 months.
• Turn the temperature control to the OFF position and unplug the refrigerator. Carefully slide
the refrigerator away from the wall so it does not damage the oor below.
• Wipe dust from the back of refrigerator with a clean dry cloth use a vacuum cleaner with a
brush attachment to clean the compressor area.
CLEANING THE INSIDE
It is recommended that you clean the inside of the refrigerator at least twice a year
• Turn the temperature control to the OFF position and unplug the refrigerator. Remove all
food content.
• Wash the inside with a damp warm cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking soda
solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to about 1 litre of
water.
• Wash the ice cube tray, drawers and shelves in mild detergent solution, rinse thoroughly
and dry with a soft cloth. To help prevent odors, leave an open box of baking soda in the
refrigerator.
VACATION
• Turn off the refrigerator rst and then unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Remove all the
food.
• Clean the refrigerator.
• Leave the door open slightly to avoid possible formation of condensation, mold, or odor.
• Use extreme caution in the case of children. The unit should not be accessible to children
playing.
• Short vacations: Leave the refrigerator operating during vacations of less than three weeks.
• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used for several months, remove all food and
unplug the power cord. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold
growth, leave the door open slightly: blocking it open if necessary or have the door
removed.
MOVING YOUR REFRIGERATOR
• Turn off the refrigerator rst and then unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Remove all the
food.
• Securely tape down all loose items inside your refrigerator. Tape the door shut.
• Be sure the refrigerator stays in the upright position during transportation. If the refrigerator
is inadvertently tilted beyond 45 degrees, place it in the upright position and wait 24 hours
before plugging in.

You can solve many common refrigerator problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible
service call. Try the suggestions below to see if you can solve the problem before calling
Royal Sovereign customer service.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Defrost whenever frost on the wall of the freezer compartment becomes 3mm (1/8”) thick.
Never us a sharp or metallic instrument to remove frost as it may damage the cooling coils.
(A punctured cooling coil will cause serious damage to the product and will void the
warranty). We recommend using a plastic scraper. To defrost, remove foods and ice cube
tray from the freezer compartment. Put the drip tray in place and set the temperature
control. Dial to the ‘OFF” position.
Defrosting usually takes a few hours. To defrost faster, keep the door open and place a bowl
of warm water in the refrigerator. After defrosting, empty water from the drip tray and wash
the drip tray in warm water.

refrigerator. (Replace every three months)
Food is not cold enough The temperature setting is not high enough.
The door has been left open.
Frequent door openings will let the cold air
escape. Circulation of air inside the refrigerator
is blocked because the shelves are too full.
The walls on the inside of the refrigerator is
damp The door has been left open.
Frequent door openings let moisture in
The room is warm and there is high humidity.
• Warm foods have been placed in the
refrigerator.
• Foods are stored in the refrigerator uncovered.
