Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely that your appliance is faulty or that a part is missing. If you nd
anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectied. Failure to do

Safety rules for hot air guns
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and
all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, re and/or
serious injury.
WARNING: (For UK, Ireland, Cyprus or Malta
only):
Your RS power tool is supplied with a cable, which is
tted with a standard CEE 7/16” Euro plug. In order
for you to safely use this power tool in the UK, Ireland,
Cyprus or Malta, you will need to t the enclosed
converter plug. Not using the supplied converter plug
may invalidate the warranty.
The converter plug encapsulates an Euro plug, giving
a permanent/semi-permanent conversion to a British
plug. Please see instructions (Fig. 9) at the front of the
manual before tting this converter plug.
▪Place the adapter plug flat side down on the work
surface, using the correct screwdriver (either flat head
or Philips) unscrew the central retaining screw. Turn
over the adapter plug and carefully lift the cover of the
plug to reveal the inside of the adapter.
▪Insert the 2 pin CEE 7/16 Euro plug into the retaining
clips of the adapter plug as shown on Fig. 9 and
carefully close the cover of the adapter plug. Turn the
plug over, to reveal again the central retaining screw
and carefully tighten the screw, making sure the two
sides of the adapter plug fit together.
▪Your adapter plug is now complete and is ready to
use in a BS 1363 electric socket as shown. Please
note you should never remove and type of plug from a
socket by pulling the cable, you should always remove
by gripping the plug itself.
▪Fully unwind cable drum extensions to avoid potential
overheating.
▪When an extension cable is required, you must ensure
that it has the right ampere rating for your appliance
and it is in safe electrical condition.
▪Always switch off the appliance before to placing it
down.
WARNING: Before connecting the machine
to a power source ensure that the voltage supply is
the same as that specied on the nameplate of the
appliance.
▪A power source with a voltage greater than that
specified for the tool can result in serious injury to the
user, as well as damage to the tool.
▪If in doubt, do not plug in the tool.
▪Using a power source with a voltage less than the
nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.
▪The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose.
Any use other than those mentioned in this Manual
will be considered a case of misuse. The user and not
the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or
injury resulting from such cases of misuse.
▪Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
▪Do not touch the air outlet or nozzle and the heated
object; they become extremely hot.
▪During application the heat nozzle must be kept at
least above 50mm away from the workpiece to allow
air flow.
▪Do not point the hot air flow for a long period at one
spot.
▪Never direct the hot air towards your face.
▪Never direct the hot air towards persons or animals.
▪Never use the appliance for drying hair or clothing.

▪Do not leave a switched on machine unattended.
▪Never use the machine in the proximity of inflammable
gases or combustible materials (risk of explosion).
▪When working with plastics, paints, lacquers and
similar materials, combustible and poisonous gases
may be produced. Inform yourself beforehand about
the materials to be worked on.
▪Never use the appliance in combination with chemical
solvents.
WARNING: Please note that heat may be
transferred to combustible materials out of eyesight.
To be on the safe side, have a bucket of water or a re
extinguisher at hand, in case any material catches re.
▪Never poke anything down the air outlet or nozzle.
▪When operating outdoors, connect the machine via a
residual current (RCD) circuit breaker with a triggering
current of 30 mA maximum, and only use an extension
cord which is intended for outdoor use and equipped
with a splash-proof coupling-socket.
▪Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the appliance. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
▪Always keep away the cord from the hot air flow and
the air outlet/nozzle.
▪Make sure work area is adequately ventilated. The
gases and vapours separated during operation may
be harmful to your health.
▪After use switch off and disconnect the machine.
▪Allow the machine to cool down for at least 30 minutes
before storage.
▪In case of electrical or mechanical malfunction,
immediately switch off the appliance and disconnect
the plug.
WARNING: Do not place your hand over the
air vents (3) at the machine rear or block the vents in
any way.
▪Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating a appliance. Do not use a
appliance while you are tired.
▪Take a secure stance; do not overreach, especially on
ladders and stages.
▪To use this appliance properly, you must observe
the safety regulations, the assembly and operating
instructions in this booklet. All persons who use and
service the machine have to be acquainted with this
Manual and must be informed about the potential
hazards when operating this appliance.
▪This machine is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
▪Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
▪The manufacturer shall not be liable for any changes
made to the tool nor for any damage resulting from
such changes.
▪The appliance must not be used outdoors in rainy
weather, or in moist environment (after rain) or in close
vicinity with easily flammable liquids and gases. The
working place should be well lit.

Operation instructions
This appliance is supplied from single-phase alternating
current mains only. It is double insulated according to
EN 60335-1 and can be connected to grounded or not
grounded sockets. This appliance is radio suppressed
in compliance with EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2,
EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3 for radio interference.
This appliance is intended for the removal of paint,
forming and welding of plastic, warming of heat-
shrinkable tubing; the tool is also suitable for soldering,
loosening adhesive joints and defrosting water pipes.
PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
▪Make sure the power supply voltage corresponds to
the value indicated on the name plate with technical
data of the tool.
▪Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The
appliance must be connected to the power supply
socket only when this switch is in OFF position as the
maximum temperature is achieved for 60 seconds
only.
▪Make sure that the cord and the plug are in order. If the
replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has
to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order
to avoid a safety hazard.
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
appliance prior to any adjustment or maintenance.
▪Check the functioning of the tool before each use and,
in case of a defect, have it repaired immediately by a

qualified person; never attempt to open the tool yourself.
▪The distance between the nozzle and the processed
material will vary depending on the kind of material
but regardless of the regulator position keep the air
outlet at least at 50 mm away from the processed
surface.
▪All application examples (except removing paint from
windows) can be performed without accessories;
however, using the appropriate accessory facilitates
operation and significantly improves the quality of the
results.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
The hot air gun can be switched on and off by means of
the 3-stage ON/OFF switch (6) at the rear of the handle.
Switching on: Set the switch (6) to position I. Some
smoke may be emitted after switching on; this does not
indicate a problem.
Switching off: Set the switch (6) to position O. Let the
machine cool down with the nozzle up before leaving it
down or storing it.
The air ow can be adjusted by setting the switch lever
(6) to position I, II or III.
Set the switch (6) to position Iin order to protect the
surrounding surfaces from overheating or in case the
workpiece is lightweight and there is danger of being
swept away by the air ow.
HEAT SETTINGS
Prior operation we recommend testing the appropriate
temperature on a scrap piece of material.

The air ow temperature at the nozzle in position Iof
switch (6) is 60°C. Please note that upon commutation
from position II or III to position Iof the switch a certain
period is necessary for the temperature to drop to 60°C.
778-1860(Fig. 1)
The air ow temperature at the nozzle in position Iof
switch (6) is 50°C. Please note that upon commutation
from position II or III to position Iof the switch a certain
period is necessary for the temperature to drop to 50°C.
The air ow temperature change is shown on the display
(7) by blinking arrows ▲ or ▼. Upon reaching the target
temperature the arrows disappear and the display shows
the actual temperature.
In addition to the 3-stage air ow control, the temperature
can be adjusted by buttons (5) in the range 70°C to
600°C. The necessary temperature can be set in steps
10°C each by pressing the left “–” button for decreasing
or the right “+” button for increasing the temperature.
Brief pressing a button changes the temperature
by 10°C. Prolonged pressing a button changes the
temperature continuously by 10°C steps until reaching
the target temperature.
The hot air gun features double overheat protection:
- Upon misuse of the appliance a temperature sensor
switches the heater automatically, the fan keeps on
working.
- Upon overloading the appliance (restriction of the
air ow) the overheat protection switches off the
machine.
STATIONARY USE (FIG. 2)
Set the tool down on its rear in an upright position.
Make sure the surface is clean and dust free; polluted air
damages the motor.
Make sure the air stream is directed away from you.
Secure the cord to prevent pulling down the tool.
Do not touch the nozzle.
WARNING: Be especially careful when work-
ing with the upright unit! There is danger of burning on
the hot nozzle and the hot air stream.
Make sure nothing drops into the nozzle.
Carefully hold the tool with one hand while switching it
off with the other hand, and then allow it to cool down.
OPERATION IN CONFINED AREAS
For operation in conned areas the heat protector (2) can
be removed.
WARNING: Keep your hands away from the
hot nozzle. Beware of the increased risk of burns.
To remove the heat protector (2), switch off the machine
and let it cool down. Turn the heat protector clockwise
viewed from the display to remove it.
WARNING: When operating the machine with
the heat protector removed there exists increased risk
of re.
MOUNTING / REMOVING ACCESSORIES
Mounting: Place the corresponding nozzle onto the air
outlet.
Removing: Pull out the nozzle after it has completely
cooled down.
WARNING: Replacing the nozzle can be per-
formed only when it is cold, the switch is in position O
and the machine is unplugged.
The hot air gun is delivered with 4 nozzles for different
applications.
Reduction nozzle (8): This nozzle directs a
concentrated heat ow to the workpiece. It is ideal for
use when removing paint in awkward corners, crevices,
mouldings, beading, architraves or whenever precise
paint removal is required.
Glass protection nozzle (9): This nozzle deects the
heat away from glasses or other fragile areas and back
onto the workpiece.
Reector nozzle (10): This nozzle disperses the heat
ow evenly around the whole workpiece. It is ideal for
defrosting water pipes, soldering pipework, bending
plastics and heat-shrinking electrical parts.
Flat nozzle (11): This nozzle directs a long narrow heat
pattern to the workpiece, and it is ideal for use when

removing paint or lacquer from larger at surfaces such
as skirting boards doors, stairs etc. It should be used in
conjunction with a at scraper.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Removing paint and lacquer (Fig. 3)
Hold the gun with the nozzle (11) approximately 50 mm
from the surface of the paintwork and start at the lower
heat setting to move it slowly backwards and forwards
until the paint blisters and bubbles. Keep a 30° to 40°
angle between the tool and the workpiece. Immediately
remove the paint with the scraper (12) or putty knife,
otherwise the paint will harden again. To avoid ignition
clean immediately the paint and the particles from the
tool. Whenever possible strip the paint along the wood
bres. Aim to heat the paint just ahead of the scraper so
that you can achieve continuous action. Do not heat the
painted surface for too long, as the paint will burn making
it more difcult to remove.
Most stickers can also be removed from paintwork by
using the heat to soften the adhesive. Be careful not to
direct the heat for too long if you are trying just to remove
the stickers, as this will blister the underlying paint.
WARNING: Be careful when removing layers
of paint in old buildings; in the past the buildings may
have been painted with paint containing lead, which is
highly toxic. Exposure to even low levels of lead can
cause serious brain and nervous system damage;
young and unborn children are particularly vulnerable.
In the presence of such paint do not use the hot air gun
but consult a specialist.
Removing paint and lacquer from window frames
(Fig. 4)
When stripping paint from window frames always use the
glass protection nozzle (9). Ensure you have the nozzle
facing the correct way to deect the heat away from the
glass before you turn the switch (6) on. Rotate the gun
or nozzle 90o as you move from horizontal to vertical
surfaces. Allow nozzle to cool down before attempting
to turn it. Paint can be removed from prole surfaces by
using the scraper (12) and/or a soft wire brush.
WARNING: Glass is a fragile material and can
break easily.
WARNING: Do not strip metal window
frames, as the heat may be conducted onto the glass
and crack it.
Defrosting water pipes (Fig. 5)
Choose the reector nozzle (10).
Always heat the pipe from the end of the frozen portion
towards the middle.
Warm plastic pipes as well as connections between pipe
pieces especially carefully to prevent damage.
WARNING: Water lines often do not differ in
appearance from gas lines. Gas lines are not to be
heated under any circumstances - danger of explo-
sion.
Welding plastic tubes (Fig. 6)
Choose the reduction (8) or reector (10) nozzle.
The materials being welded together must be of exactly
the same type of plastic.
The areas being welded must be clean and grease-free.
Heat one of the tubes in the joint until the material
becomes tacky, and then apply the other tube.
Please note that plastics can very quickly change from
being tacky into becoming liquid.
Shrink tting (Fig. 7)
Choose the reector (10) or reduction (8) nozzle.
Select a heat-shrinkable tube with diameter, appropriate
for the workpiece (for example, a cable shoe).
Heat the heat-shrinkable sleeve evenly.
Bending plastic tubes (Fig. 8)
Choose the reector nozzle (10).
Set the machine down on its rear in an upright position
with the nozzle pointing upwards.
To avoid buckling or kinking the tube, ll the tube with dry
sand and seal at both ends.
Heat the tube evenly by moving from side to side and
bend it to the required shape.
Maintenance
WARNING: Always ensure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before attempting to per-
form inspection or maintenance.
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they are
properly tightened.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine and its
ventilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign matter has
entered the grills near the motor and around the switch.
Use a soft brush to remove any accumulated dust. Wear
safety glasses to protect your eyes whilst cleaning.
If the body of the tool needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft
damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used.
WARNING: Never use alcohol, petrol or other
cleaning agent. Never use caustic agents to clean
plastic parts.
WARNING: Water must never come into con-

Arbeiten mit Heißluftgebläsen
WARNUNG! Lesen Sie alle Sicherheits-
hinweise. Die Nichteinhaltung der nachstehend auf-
geführten Anweisungen kann elektrischen Schlag,
Brand und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.
▪Um eine eventuelle Überhitzung zu verhindern, rollen
Sie das Kabel einer Kabeltrommel immer bis zum
Ende ab.
▪Wenn Sie ein Verlängerungskabel benutzen müssen,
versichern Sie sich zuerst, dass sein Querschnitt dem
Nennstrom des benutzen Elektrogerät entspricht, so
wie auch, dass es unbeschädigt ist.
▪Schalten das Elektrogerät immer ab, bevor Sie es
ablegen.
WARNUNG: Bevor Sie das Elektrogerät an
das Stromnetz anschließen, versichern Sie sich, dass
die Versorgungsspannung dieselbe ist wie auf dem
Typenschild des Elektrogeräts vorgeschrieben.
▪Eine höhere Versorgungsspannung als die Nenn-
spannung kann zu ernsthafte Verletzungen des An-

WARNUNG: Die Hitze kann sich auf Materia-
lien außerhalb Ihrer Sichtweite übertragen. Halten Sie
nach Möglichkeit immer einen Eimer Wasser oder ei-
nen Feuerlöscher in Ihrer Nähe, als Schutzmaßnahme
im Falle einer Materialentzündung.
▪Legen Sie keine Gegenstände in die Luftdüse.
▪Beim Arbeiten im Außenbereich muss die Steckdose
des Werkzeugs mit Fehlerstrom-Schutzschalter mit
einem maximalen Auslösestrom von 30 mA ausge-
rüstet sein und dazu müssen zugelassene Verlänge-
rungskabel mit wasserdichten Steckdosen verwendet
werden.
▪Verwenden Sie niemals das Kabel zum Tragen,
Spannen oder Ziehen aus der Steckdose des Elekt-
rogerätes. Halten Sie das Kabel fern von heißen Ge-
genständen, Öl, scharfen Kanten oder bewegenden
Werkzeugteilen. Beschädigte oder verwickelte Kabel
erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.
▪Halten Sie das Kabel unbedingt vom heißen Luftstrom
und der Luftdüse fern.
▪Der Arbeitsbereich muss gut belüftet sein. Die Trenn-
gase und Dämpfe bei der Arbeit sind oft schädlich für
die Gesundheit.
▪Nach der Arbeit das Gerät ausschalten und den Netz-
stecker ziehen.
▪Bevor Sie das Gerät einpacken, lassen Sie es sich für
min. 30 Minuten abkühlen
▪Falls es ein elektrischer oder mechanischer Schaden
auftritt, schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus und ziehen
Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
WARNUNG: Decken Sie die Lüftungsschlitze
(3) am hinteren Teil der Gehäuse nicht ab.

sein Zubehör nur für den bestimmten Zweck. Jede ande-
re Anwendung ist absolut verboten.

Arbeitshinweise
Dieses Elektrogerät wird durch einphasige Wechsel-
spannung versorgt. Es besitzt eine doppelte Isolie-
rung gemäß EN 60335-1 und darf in Steckdosen ohne
Schutzleiter eingeschaltet werden. Die Funkstörungen
entsprechen der ЕN 55014-1, ЕN 55014-2, ЕN 61000-
3-2, ЕN 61000-3-3.
Das Werkzeug ist bestimmt zum Entfernen von Farban-
strichen, zum Formen und Warmkleben von Kunst-
stoffwaren und für Erwärmung von Rohren aus ther-
moplastischen Kunststoff, so wie auch zum Lösen von
Klebeverbindungen und zum Auftauen von eingefrore-
nen Wasserleitungsrohren.
VOR DEM ARBEITSBEGINN
▪Überprüfen Sie ob die Netzspannung mit der auf dem
Typenschild des Elektrogeräts angegebenen Span-
nung übereinstimmt.
▪Überprüfen Sie in welcher Stellung sich der Schalter
befindet. Das Elektrogerät darf nur mit ausgeschal-
tetem Schalter eingesteckt werden, da die maximale
Temperatur in nur 60 Sekunden erreicht wird.
▪Vergewissern Sie sich dass das Netzkabel und der
Stecker in Ordnung sind. Falls das Netzkabel beschä-
digt wird, muss es vom Hersteller oder von einem, von
ihm autorisierten Fachmann gewechselt werden um
die Gefahren die beim Austausch eines Netzkabels
auftreten können zu vermeiden.

▪Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung die Funktions-
fähigkeit des Werkzeuges. Wenden Sie sich an einen
qualifizierten Fachmann falls es einen
▪Fehler aufzeigt. Öffnen Sie niemals das Werkzeug
selbst.
▪Der Abstand zwischen der Düse und dem zu bearbei-
tende Material ist unterschiedlich und hängt vom Ma-
terial ab. Unabhängig von der Schalterstellung, halten
Sie die Luftdüse immer in einem Abstand von mehr
als 50mm von den Oberflächen, die Sie bearbeiten.
▪Alle Arbeiten mit dem Werkzeug (Ausnahme ist die
Entfernung von Lacken von Fenstern) können ohne
Zubehör durchgeführt werden; aber die Verwendung
von passendem Zubehör erleichtert die Arbeit we-
sentlich und verbessert die Qualität der Arbeit.
EIN - AUS - SCHALTEN
Ein/Ausschalten bzw. Leistungregelung erfolgt über den
Drei-Stufen-Schalter (6), der an der Rückseite des Griffs
angebracht ist.
Einschalten: Schieben Sie den Schalter (6) in Position
I. Beim ersten Gebrauch ist es möglich, dass es kurz zu
rauchen beginnt. Das ist nicht ungewöhnlich und kein
Zeichen für eine Beschädigung.
Ausschalten: Schieben Sie den Schalter (6) in Position
O. Nach Arbeitsabschluss das Gerät mit der Düse nach
oben abkühlen lassen, bevor Sie es zur Seite legen oder
einpacken.
Die Luftstrommenge wird durch das Setzen des Schal-
ters (6) in Position I, II oder III reguliert.
Schieben Sie den Schalter (6) in Position I, wenn es
notwendig ist die umgebenden Oberächen von einer
Überhitzung zu schützen, oder wenn das zu bearbei-
tende Werkstück ein geringes Gewicht hat und es vom
Luftstrom weggeblasen werden kann.
WAHL DES TEMPERATURBEREICHES
Vor dem Arbeitsbeginn die passende Temperatur auf
einem unnötigen Stück vom Material testen.

In Position I des Schalters (6) beträgt die Temperatur des
Luftstroms an der Düse 60°C. Es sei darauf hingewie-
sen, dass beim Umschalten von den Positionen II oder
III auf Position Ieine gewisse Zeit gebraucht wird bis die
Lufttemperatur auf 60°C sinkt.

In Position I des Schalters (6) beträgt die Temperatur des
Luftstroms an der Düse 50°C. Es sei darauf hingewie-
sen, dass beim Umschalten von den Positionen II oder
III auf Position Ieine gewisse Zeit gebraucht wird bis die
Lufttemperatur auf 50°C sinkt.
Die Änderung der Luftstromtemperatur wird durch blinken-
den Pfeilen ▲ oder ▼ auf der Anzeige (7) angezeigt. Beim
Erreichen der Soll-Temperatur, verschwindet der jeweilige
Pfeil und die tatsächliche Temperatur wird angezeigt.
Der Luftstrom wird entweder durch den Drei-Stufen-
Schalter oder durch die Tasten (5) im Bereich von 70°C
bis 600°C geregelt. Die gewünschte Temperatur wird
Schrittweise von je 10°C durch Drücken der linken „–“
oder rechten „+“ Taste eingestellt. Einmaliges Drücken
der Taste ändert die Temperatur mit 10°C. Ständiges
Drücken der Taste betätigt eine kontinuierliche Ände-
rung der Luftstromtemperatur in Schritten von 10°C bis
zu dem gewünschten Wert.
Das Elektrogerät ist mit einem Doppelschutz gegen
Überhitzung ausgestattet:
- Bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch des Elektrogeräts
wird durch einem Temperaturfühler lediglich das
Abschalten der Heizung betätigt, während der Lüf-
ter weiter läuft;
- Im Falle von Temperaturüberlastung des Werk-
zeugs (Einschränkung des Luftstroms) schaltet der
Schutz gegen Überhitzung das Werkzeug vollkom-
men aus.
ARBEIT MIT DEM WERKZEUG IN
STATIONÄREM BETRIEB (FIG. 2)
Stellen Sie das Werkzeug senkrecht auf das hintere Ge-
häuseteil.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Oberäche auf die Sie
das Gerät stellen wollen sauber und frei von Staub ist.
Verschmutzungen können den Motor beschädigen.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Luftstrom nicht auf Sie
gerichtet ist.
Um ein Umkippen des Gerätes zu verhindern müssen
Sie aufpassen, dass Sie während der Arbeit das Kabel
nicht berühren. Sichern Sie es gegen Herausziehen.
Berühren Sie nicht die Düse.
WARNUNG: Seien Sie beim stationären Ar-
beiten besonders vorsichtig. Es besteht ein erhöhtes
Risiko von Verbrennungen an der Düse oder durch
den Heißluftstrom.
Schützen Sie die Düse vor herumiegenden Gegen-
ständen und Teilchen.
Halten Sie das Gerät mit der einen Hand und schalten
Sie das Gerät mit der anderen Hand aus und lassen Sie
es dann abkühlen.
ARBEIT IN SCHWER ZUGÄNGLICHEN
BEREICHEN
Bei Arbeiten in schwer zugänglichen Bereichen kann der
Schutzring (2) demontiert werden.
WARNUNG: Schützen Sie Ihre Hände vor der
heißen Düse. Bei Arbeiten mit demontiertem Schutz-
ring besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko von Verbrennungen.
Um den Schutzring (2) zu demontieren, müssen Sie
zuerst das Gerät ausschalten und es abkühlen lassen
(tragen Sie Arbeitshandschuhe). Drehen
Sie den Schutzring im Uhrzeigersinn, gesehen von der
Anzeige, um ihn zu demontieren.

WARNUNG: Bei einem demontierten Schutz-
ring besteht eine erhöhte Feuergefahr.
MOUNTING / REMOVING ACCESSORIES
Montage: die entsprechende Düse wird in die Aus-
gangsöffnung eingesetzt.
Demontage: die entsprechende Düse wird nach vorne
gezogen, nachdem sie völlig abgekühlt ist.
WARNUNG: Das Wechseln der Düse wird
durchgeführt nur wenn die Düse kalt ist, der Schalter
in der Position Oist und der Stecker aus der Steckdo-
se gezogen ist.
Das Heißluftgebläse wird mit 4 Düsen für verschiedene
Anwendungszwecke geliefert.
Reduzierdüse (8): richtet einen konzentrierten Heiß-
luftstrom auf das Werkstück. Passend für das Entfernen
von Lackbeschichtungen in Ecken, Schlitzen, Gesim-
sen, Ornamenten, Scheuerleisten und falls ein präzises
Entfernen von Lackbeschichtungen nötig ist.
Glasschutzdüse (9): lenkt den Heißluftstrom von Fens-
terscheiben oder anderen empndlichen Materialien ab.
Reektordüse (10): verteilt den Heißluftstrom gleich-
mäßig um das zu bearbeitende Werkstück, passend für
das Auftauen von Wasserleitungsrohren, Verlöten von
Röhren, Biegen von Kunststoffteilen und für Schutzhül-
len aus thermoplastischem Material.
Flachdüse (11): richtet einen schmalen Heißluftstrom
auf das Werkstück und ist passend für das Entfernen
von Lackbeschichtungen von großen Flächen, z.B. Tü-
ren, Treppenwänden usw. Wird zusammen mit einem
Spachtel verwendet.
ANWENDUNGSBEISPIELE
Entfernen von Farben und Lacken (Bild 3)
Halten Sie die Düse (11) ca. 50mm von der gestrichenen
Oberäche entfernt. Beginnen Sie zuerst mit einer nied-
rigeren Temperatur und bewegen Sie die Düse vor- und
rückwärts bis die Farbbeschichtung anzuschwellen be-
ginnt und sich kleine Blasen bilden. Der Winkel zwischen
der Düse und der Arbeitsäche muss zwischen 30° und
40° sein. Entfernen Sie die Lackbeschichtung sofort mit
der Hilfe des Abstreifers (12) oder eines Spachtels.
Anderenfalls wird sie wieder verhärten. Um eine Entzün-
dung zu verhindern, nehmen sofort die Farbe und die
Teilchen vom Gerät weg. Wenn möglich – kratzen Sie
die Farbe in die Richtung der Holzfasern ab. Richten Sie
den Heißluftstrom genau vor dem Spachtel um eine un-
unterbrochene Arbeit zu erreichen. Lassen Sie den Heiß-
luftstrom nicht zu lange in einem Bereich wirken, denn
so wird die Farbe verbrennen und das wird ihr Entfernen
erschweren.
Auf dieselbe Weise können Sie einen Klebestreifen von
einer gestrichenen Oberäche entfernen, da die Wärme
den Klebstoff aufweicht. In diesem Fall müssen Sie vor-
sichtig sein und den Heißluftstrom nicht zu lange auf den
Klebestreifen wirken lassen, weil sonst auch die Farbe
darunter beschädigt wird.
WARNUNG: Seien Sie vorsichtig beim Ent-
fernen von Farbschichten in alten Gebäuden; es be-
steht die Möglichkeit, dass die Gebäude mit bleihalti-
gen Farben gestrichen wurden, die stark toxisch sind.
Sogar in kleinen Mengen kann das Blei ernsthafte
Schäden von Gehirn und Nervensystem verursachen,
besonders bei kleinen Kinder und Schwangeren.
Wenn eine solche Farbe entfernt werden muss ver-
wenden Sie nicht das Gerät, sondern konsultieren Sie
in diesem Fall einen Fachmann.
Entfernen von Farben oder Lackbeschichtungen
von Fenstern (Bild 4)
Wenn Sie der Nähe von Fenstern arbeiten verwenden
Sie immer die Glasschutzdüse (9).
Bevor Sie den Schalter (6) einschalten überprüfen Sie ob
die Düse richtig ausgerichtet ist, so dass sie den Heiß-
luftstrom vom Fenster ablenkt. Beim
Übergang von horizontalen zu vertikalen Oberächen
drehen Sie die Düse oder das Werkzeug auf 90º.
Falls Sie die Düse drehen wollen, warten Sie ab bis sie
abgekühlt ist. Um die Farbbeschichtung von einer Pro-
loberäche zu entfernen, benutzen Sie einen Abstrei-
cher und/oder eine weiche Drahtbürste.
WARNUNG: Glas ist ein leicht zerbrechliches
Material und kann schnell kaputt gehen.
WARNUNG: Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht
für das Entfernen von Farbbeschichtungen von Fens-
tern mit Metallfenstereinfassung, Metall ist ein Wärme
leitendes Material und seine Erhitzung kann ein Zer-
brechen des Fensterglases verursachen.
Auftauen von eingefrorenen Wasserleitungsrohren
(Bild 5)
Benutzen Sie die Reektordüse (10).
Beginnen Sie das eingefrorenen Rohr von einem Roh-
rende aus in Richtung Mitte zu erhitzen.
Seien Sie vorsichtig wenn Sie Kunststoffrohre auftauen
müssen, und besonders bei Verbindungsstellen, um die-
se nicht zu beschädigen.
WARNUNG: Die Unterscheidung zwischen
Kunststoff-Wasserleitungsrohren und Rohren von
Gasleitung ist manchmal schwierig. Sie dürfen Gas-
leitungrohre unter keinen Umständen erhitzen. Das ist
außerordentlich gefährlich - es besteht Explosionsge-
fahr.
Warmkleben (verschweißen) von Kunststoffrohren
(Bild 6)
Benutzen Sie die Reduzierdüse (8) oder die Reektor-
düse (10).
Teile, die verschweißt werden müssen, müssen aus dem
gleichen Material bestehen.

Erhitzen Sie den Klebebereich des einen Rohres bis der

schen den Temperaturen vom klebrigen und üssigen
Zustand bei Kunststoffen sehr gering ist.
Schutzhüllen aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff
(Bild 7)
Benutzen Sie die Reektordüse (10) oder die Reduzier-
düse (8).
Wählen Sie einen Schrumpfschlauch mit einem entspre-
chenden Durchmesser, entsprechend dem Werkstück
(z.B. ein Kabelschuh).
Erhitzen Sie den Schlauch gleichmäßig.
Biegen von Kunststoffrohren (Bild 8)
Benutzen Sie die Reektordüse (10).
Stellen Sie das Werkzeug in ortsfester Lage mit der
Düse nach oben.
Füllen Sie das Rohr mit Sand und verstopfen Sie die
beiden Rührenden, um eine Rohrdeformierung oder ein
Brechen des Rohres zu vermeiden.
Erhitzen Sie das Rohr gleichmäßig, wobei Sie die Düse
von einem Rohrende zum anderen bewegen.
Biegen Sie das Rohr.
Wartung
WARNUNG: Schalten Sie das Werkzeug vor
jeder Überprüfung aus und ziehen Sie den Netzste-
cker. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, ob die Gehäuse-
schrauben festgezogen sind.
REINIGUNG
Um eine sichere Arbeit zu gewährleisten müssen Sie
das Werkzeug und die Lüftungsschlitzen immer sauber
halten.
Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, ob in das Lüftungsgitter in
der Nähe des Motors oder um den Schalter Staub oder
Fremdkörper eingedrungen sind. Entfernen Sie den
Staub mit Hilfe einer weichen Bürste. Tragen Sie eine
Schutzbrille um Ihre Augen beim Reinigen zu schützen.
Wenn das Gerätegehäuse gereinigt werden muss, wi-
schen Sie es mit einem weichen feuchten Tuch ab. Sie
können ein mildes Spülmittel verwenden.
WARNUNG: Die Verwendung von Spiritus,
Benzin oder andere Lösungsmittel ist verboten. Sie
dürfen niemals ätzende Reinigungsmittel für die Rei-
nigung von den Kunststoffteilen verwenden.
WARNUNG: Das Werkzeug darf nicht ins
Wasser geraten.

und seine Zuverlässigkeit zu gewährleisten, müssen alle

Consignes de sécurité lors
du travail avec des
décapeurs thermiques
AVERTISSEMENT ! Lisez tous les avertis-
sements et consignes de sécurité. Le non-respect
des avertissements et des consignes de sécurité peut
entraîner des lésions causées par le courant élec-
trique, un incendie et/ou une blessure grave.
▪An d’éviter une éventuelle surchauffe, déroulez tou-
jours jusqu’au bout le câble de rallonge à dérouleur.
▪Lorsqu’il est nécessaire d’utiliser une rallonge, assu-
rez-vous que la section du câble est conforme à la
force nominale du courant consommé par l’outil élec-
troportatif utilisé et que la rallonge est en parfait état.
▪Débranchez toujours l’outil électroportatif avant de le
mettre de côté.
AVERTISSEMENT: Avant de brancher l’outil
électroportatif au réseau d’alimentation électrique,
assurez-vous que la tension de celui-ci est bien celle
indiquée sur la plaquette contenant les caractéris-
tiques techniques de cet outil.
▪Une tension supérieure à la tension nominale peut

avec des solvants chimiques.

▪Ne jamais placer des objets dans la buse d’air.
▪En cas d’utilisation à l’extérieur, branchez l’outil par
l’intermédiaire d’un interrupteur assurant la sécurité
contre les fuites de courant dont le courant maximal
d’enclenchement est de 30 mA et utilisez uniquement
une rallonge destinée au travail à l’extérieur, possé-
dant des prises sécurisées contre la pénétration de
l’eau.
▪N’utilisez jamais le câble pour porter, tirer ou débran-
cher de la prise l’outil électroportatif. Tenez le câble
loin de sources de chaleur, de lubrifiants, de bords
tranchants ou de pièces en mouvement. Les câbles
endommagés ou emmêlés augmentent le risque
d’électrocution.
▪Veillez à ne pas exposer le câble à l’effet du courant
d’air brûlant et au contact avec la buse d’air.
▪Assurez une bonne ventilation de la zone de travail.
Les gaz et les vapeurs qui s’échappent durant le tra-
vail sont souvent nuisibles à la santé.
▪Arrêtez l’outil et débranchez-le du réseau d’alimenta-
tion après la fin du travail.
▪Avant de ranger l’outil, laissez-le refroidir pendant au

Instructions pour le
travail
Cet l’outil électroportatif est alimenté en courant alterna-
tif monophasé. Il possède un double isolation, conformé-
ment à EN 60335-1 et peut être branché à des prises qui
ne possèdent pas de bornes de protection. Les pertur-
bations radiophoniques sont conformes à EN 55014-1,
EN 55014-2, EN61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3.
L’outil est destiné à élimination de la peinture, au mou-
lage et au collage thermique d’articles en matière plas-
tique et au traitement thermique de tuyaux en matière
plastique rétractible sous l’effet de la chaleur, de même
que pour le relâchement de raccordements collés et
pour le dégel de tuyaux d’alimentation en eau gelés.
AVANT LE DEBUT DU TRAVAIL
▪Assurez-vous que la tension du secteur correspond à
celle indiquée sur la plaquette contenant les données
techniques sur l’outil électroportatif.
▪Vérifiez la position de l’interrupteur. L’outil électro-
portatif doit être toujours branché et débranché du
réseau d’alimentation en courant électrique son inter-
rupteur étant en position OFF, car il ne lui faut que 60
secondes pour atteindre sa température maximale.
▪Assurez-vous que le câble électrique et sa fiche sont
en parfait état. Si le câble d’alimentation est endom-
magé, son remplacement doit être effectué par le
constructeur ou un spécialiste agréé par celui-ci, afin
d’éviter tout danger lors de ce remplacement.
AVERTISSEMENT: Arrêtez toujours l’outil
électroportatif et débranchez-le du réseau avant d’ef-
fectuer sur celui-ci tout réglage et opération de service
ou d’entretien.
