AVVERTENZE GENERALI
NORME PER LA SICUREZZA E LA PREVENZIONE DEGLI INFORTUNI
Le istruzioni per la sicurezza e la prevenzione degli infortuni sono riportate
nel fascicolo "INDICAZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA" che costituisce parte inte-
grante della presente documentazione; il libretto d'istruzioni per l'uso riporta
solamente le informazioni aggiuntive strettamente correlate all'uso specifico
della macchina.
Durante l'utilizzo delle macchine si possono formare polveri, schegge, trucioli
o si possono toccare parti rotanti delle stesse: a causa dei rischi che possono
insorgere si raccomanda quindi di utilizzare sempre tutti i D.P.I. (dispositivi di
protezione individuale, quali: guanti, cuffie, occhiali protettivi, maschere per la
protezione delle vie respiratorie, ecc.) rispettando scrupolosamente le norma-
tive di legge vigenti per prevenire o ridurre la possibilità di incidenti.
L'impiego prolungato delle macchine può provocare danni all'udito: indossa-
re apposite cuffie di protezione.
Gli utensili possono continuare a ruotare dopo il loro spegnimento. Le punte
da foratura possono raggiungere temperature molto elevate: fate attenzione
al pericolo di lesioni a persone o cose e al pericolo d'incendio.
Prima dell'azionamento fare attenzione che le macchine siano saldamente im-
pugnate e non siano a contatto con la superficie di lavoro, controllare che il
materiale da sottoporre a lavorazione sia sufficientemente fissato e rispettare
le norme di sicurezza valide per il materiale che state lavorando.
Rimuovere le batterie quando la macchine non sono utilizzate, prima di effet-
tuarne la manutenzione e durante la sostituzione degli accessori.
Attenzione! l'utensile continua per alcuni secondi a funzionare dopo lo spe-
gnimento!
UTILIZZO CONFORME AGLI SCOPI PREVISTI
Verificare prima dell' uso che le caratteristiche di lavoro delle punte per trapa-
no e degli inserti per l'avvitatore siano compatibili con quelle dell'utensile. Ve-
rificare che le punte e gli inserti siano montati e serrati correttamente. Verifica-
re inoltre che l'utensile, le batterie, gli accessori siano maneggiati e conserva-
ti secondo le indicazioni del costruttore.
Le macchine non devono funzionare in ambiente umido o in presenza di gas
o liquidi infiammabili.
Questi utensili sono stati concepiti per serrare viti con inserti per avvitatori e
per praticare fori nei materiali indicati nella tabella dati tecnici , secondo i limi-
ti della stessa.
In caso di utilizzo non conforme agli scopi previsti, l'utilizzatore si assume
ogni responsabilità per eventuali danni e incidenti.
NORME DI SICUREZZA SPECIFICHE PER LE BATTERIE
Il motore elettrico di queste macchine è predisposto per essere alimentato ad
un dato voltaggio: è assolutamente obbligatorio operare con batterie che ab-
biano il medesimo voltaggio della macchina! Non rispettare questa norma
può causare seri danni alle macchine stesse ed anche a persone o cose.
Le batterie ricaricabili al nichel cadmio in dotazione alle macchine contengo-
no sostanze che possono inquinare l'ambiente o causare seri danni a perso-
ne, animali e cose: è molto importante che le seguenti precauzioni siano os-
servate scrupolosamente:
- non esporre le batterie a temperature superiori a 50°C, non lasciarle esposte alla
luce solare diretta o gettarle nel fuoco: potrebbero esplodere;
- non gettare le batterie nell'acqua e non conservarle in ambienti umidi;
- non gettare le batterie esaurite tra i normali rifiuti, ma esclusivamente nei
contenitori per la raccolta differenziata;
- qualora tali contenitori non fossero disponibili rivolgersi all' Azienda dei Ser-
vizi Ambientali competente per il vostro territorio oppure riconsegnate le
batterie scariche al vostro rivenditore RUPES che provvederà allo smalti-
mento a norma di legge;
- non aprire o tentare di aprire le batterie: il liquido da esse contenuto (solu-
zione di idrossido di potassio al 30%) è corrosivo, nocivo per ingestione e
provoca gravi ustioni. In caso di contatto con la pelle: lavare immediatamen-
te con acqua e sapone sciacquando accuratamente.
In caso di contatto con gli occhi: lavare con acqua corrente per diversi mi-
nuti tenendo le palpebre ben aperte e consultare il medico;
- nel caso di un qualunque contatto con il corpo, di inalazione o di ingestione
rivolgersi sempre immediatamente al Servizio Sanitario di Emergenza com-
petente per il territorio ove vi trovate oppure ad un medico;
- evitare di cortocircuitare, mediante metallo, i contatti della batteria: vi è peri-
colo di esplosione o incendio!

CONTROLLI PRELIMINARI
Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina accertarsi che:
- l'imballo sia integro e non mostri segni di danneggiamento dovuti a traspor-
to e magazzinaggio;
- la macchina sia completa, controllando che numero e natura dei compo-
nenti siano conformi a quanto riportato sul presente librettto;
- la fonte di energia e le prese di corrente siano idonee a sopportare l'assorbi-
mento dei caricabatterie secondo la tabella riportata più avanti.
MESSA IN FUNZIONE
Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina accertarsi che:
- l’imballo sia integro e non mostri segni di danneggiamento dovuti a
trasporto e magazzinaggio;
- la macchina sia completa; controllare che numero e natura dei
componenti siano conformi a quanto riportato sul presente libretto;
- la fonte di energia e le prese di corrente a disposizione possano
sopportare il carico indicato in tabella e riportato sulla targhetta di
identificazione della macchina il cui facsimile, con spiegazioni, è
riportato a pag. 7.
MONTAGGIO DELLA MACCHINA
CARICA DELLA BATTERIA (H)
La batteria nuova viene fornita scarica pertanto, prima di procedere al suo
uso è indispensabile procedere alla sua carica. La batteria nuova necessita di
almeno una decina di cicli carica-scarica prima di fornire le prestazioni indica-
te nell'etichetta.
Per la carica procedere come segue:
- inserire la spina del caricabatterie nella presa di corrente;
- inserire la batteria nell'apposito vano (15) facendo attenzione che la costola
presente su di un lato della batteria sia in corrispondenza dell'apposita sca-
nalatura presente nel vano alloggiamento batteria;
- verificare che la apposita spia rossa (14) sia accesa; il caricamento sarà
completato all'accensione della spia verde.
Attenzione: utilizzare il caricabatterie solo in ambiente asciutto, pulito,
lontano da fonti di calore e sostanze infiammabili!
MONTAGGIO DELLA BATTERIA (A)
Inserire la batteria (9) nella parte inferiore dell’impugnatura (7) spingendo ver-
so l’alto fino a che non si avverta lo scatto del dispositivo di aggancio. Con-
trollare che il valore della tensione sia idoneo al funzionamento della macchi-
na.
MONTAGGIO E SMONTAGGIO DELLE PUNTE E DEGLI INSERTI (F)
Svitare il mandrino finchè le griffe non presentino una apertura idonea all'al-
loggiamento della punta o dell'inserto scelto;
2 - stringere l'utensile scelto tra le griffe avvitando il mandrino;
3 - controllare che l'utensile non giri fuori centro;
4 - per lo smontaggio seguire le indicazioni in senso inverso.
SELEZIONE DEL SENSO DI ROTAZIONE (C)
Agendo sul comando (5) spingere il pulsante verso l’interno o verso l’esterno del
corpo macchina per selezionare il senso di rotazione desiderato; la posizione inter-
media funge da blocco.
- La rotazione antioraria danneggia i taglienti delle punte per forare.
Attenzione: agire sul comando solamente a macchina ferma!
CAMBIO MECCANICO DI VELOCITA' (D)
Operando sul comando (3) si possono selezionare due velocità:
- posizione “1” - bassa velocità
- posizione “2” - alta velocità
Attenzione: agire sul comando solamente a macchina ferma!
REGOLAZIONE DELLA COPPIA DI SERRAGGIO (E)
La regolazione della coppia di serraggio o di foratura si effettua agendo sull'a-

nello (4); la coppia è proporzionale al numero impresso sull'anello: 1= mini-
mo; 16 (rappresentato dal simbolo della punta) = massimo.
La selezione può avvenire a macchina in moto.
PRIMA DELLA MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Accertarsi che:
- la tensione della batteria sia conforme alle caratteristiche della macchina;
- la batteria sia stabilmente fissata all'impugnatura;
- tutti i componenti della macchina e gli accessori siano montati correttamen-
te.
AVVIAMENTO E FERMATA (B)
- Avviamento: premere sul pulsante (2); la pressione sul pulsante dovrà esse-
re proporzionata al numero di giri desiderato (regolazione elettronica).
- Fermata: rilasciare il pulsante (2).
FUNZIONAMENTO DI PROVA
Avviare la macchina e controllare che non siano presenti vibrazioni o scentra-
ture degli utensili.
In caso contrario disinserire immediatamente e provvedere ad eliminare le
anomalie.
UTENSILI DI LAVORO AMMESSI
Punte da trapano in commercio:
- Ø massimo 10 mm (DD122);
- Ø massimo 13 mm (DD142);
- inserti per avvitatori.
SOSTITUZIONE DELLA BATTERIA (A)
- Premere sui pulsanti di sganciamento (8) e tirare contemporaneamente ver-
so il basso la batteria scarica sino ad ottenerne lo sfilamento;
- inserire la nuova batteria prestando attenzione che la tensione sia quella di
funzionamento della macchina e che il rilievo riportato sul corpo batteria
vada ad inserirsi nella scanalatura praticata all'interno dell'impugnatura.
MANUTENZIONE
CARICABATTERIE
Conservarli in luogo fresco, pulito e asciutto. Pulire sistematicamente l'ester-
no con uno straccio asciutto.
BATTERIE
Attenzione: non lasciate le batterie, quando avete finito il lavoro, negli utensi-
li: rimuovetele dalle loro sedi e riponetele, non completamente scariche, in
luogo fresco e asciutto.
Dopo aver completato la carica di una batteria, staccate il caricabatterie dal-
l'alimentazione di rete, staccate la batteria e riponetela come sopra descritto.
La durata delle batterie ricaricabili è limitata nel tempo: il numero di volte che
una batteria può venire ricaricata dipende da molti fattori (tipo di uso, età del-
la batteria, ecc.): quando la batteria è esausta (non tiene più la carica) smaltir-
la secondo le indicazioni riportate in questo libretto nella parte "Norme di si-
curezza specifiche per batterie".
TRAPANI
Attenzione: tutte le operazioni di manutenzione vanno effettuate sulla mac-
china priva di batteria!
A fine lavoro o in caso di necessità spolverare con un getto di aria compressa
il corpo macchina.
Non sono ammessi altri interventi da parte dell'utente.
In caso di necessità rivolgersi ai Centri di Assistenza Autorizzati.
SICUREZZA ELETTRICA-BASSA TENSIONE
TRAPANI-CARICABATTERIE
Vedi dichiarazione di conformità.
SCHERMATURA CONTRO I RADIODISTURBI
Le macchine sono conformi agli effetti della prevenzione ed eliminazione dei
radiodisturbi misurati secondo le norme EN55014-1 + EN55014-2 +
EN61000-3-2 + EN61000-3-3.
FORMAZIONE DI RUMORE
Il livello equivalente di pressione sonora (rumorosità) è di 79 dB (A),
misurati secondo le norme EN 23744
Attenzione: indossare adeguati presidi per la difesa dell'udito! (vedi
avvertenze generali).
VALORE MEDIO DELL'ACCELERAZIONE
Il valore quadratico medio dell'accelerazione è inferiore a 2,5 m/sec2misurato
secondo le norme UNI EN 28662.

GARANZIA
Tutte le macchine costruite dalla RUPES Spa sono garantite per 12 mesi
dalla data di acquisto contro difetti di materiale e di fabbricazione.
Le macchine devono essere utilizzate esclusivamente con accessori e ri-
cambi originali RUPES: si declina ogni responsabilità per danni o inciden-
ti provocati dall’inosservanza della presente norma che causa anche il de-
cadimento della garanzia.
La garanzia decade qualora non vengano rispettate le prescrizioni del
presente libretto o qualora venga fatto uso improprio della macchina. De-
cade altresì se la macchina viene smontata o manomessa o se vi sono
evidenti danni derivanti da cattiva cura della stessa.
La garanzia è subordinata alla compilazione del tagliando riportato
sull’ultima pagina di copertina del presente libretto d'istruzioni.
In caso di accertato malfunzionamento la macchina, accompagnata dal
certificato di garanzia, dovrà essere consegnata o spedita franco di porto,
non smontata e nell'imballo originale, al fabbricante o ad un Centro di As-
sistenza autorizzato riportato nell'elenco allegato al presente libretto.
In ogni caso la garanzia non dà diritto alla sostituzione della macchina.
La RUPES Spa si riserva di apportare qualsiasi modifica alle caratteristi-
che tecniche o estetiche dei propri prodotti senza preavviso.
Non si assume nessuna responsabilità per eventuali errori di stampa. Il
presente stampato annulla e sostituisce i precedenti.
BATTERIA RICARICABILE
È necessario conservare la batteria difettosa o consumata a
scopo di riciclaggio o smaltimento ecologico secondo la diretti-
va CEE 91/157. Per lo smaltimento utilizzare i contenitori per la
raccolta differenziata. Qualora non siano disponibili rivolgersi al-
l’Agenzia dei servizi Ambientali competente per il vostro territorio o al vo-
stro rivenditore Rupes che provvederà allo smaltimento a norma di legge.

WARNINGS
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION INSTRUCTIONS
The safety and accident prevention instructions are reported in the "SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS" booklet which forms an integral part of these documents;
the operating instructions only indicate additional information required speci-
fically for use of the tool.
During machine use, dust, chips and shavings may form or touch rotating ma-
chine parts: due to potential risks, we recommend the constant use of P.S.D.
(personal safety devices such as: gloves, headphones, goggles, face masks,
etc.) according to laws in force to prevent or reduce accident probability.
Extended machine use may cause hearing damage: wear specific safety
headphones.
Drill bits can reach high temperatures: pay attention to injury hazards to per-
sons or things or fire hazards.
Before starting, make sure that the tool is held firmly and not in contact with
the work surface. Make sure that work material is sufficiently secured and ob-
serve the safety regulations that apply to the work material.
Remove the batteries when the tool is not in use, before maintenance and du-
ring accessory changes.
Warning: the appliance continues to work for a few seconds after it has been
switched off!
SPECIFIC USE
Before use make sure the drill bit and screwdriver insert operating characteri-
stics are compatible with tool characteristics. Make sure that the bits and in-
serts are correctly assembled and tightened. Also make sure that the tool,
batteries and accessories are handled and stored with care according to the
manufacturer's indications. The machine must not be operated in humid envi-
ronments or in the presence of flammable gas or liquids.
These tools were designed to tighten screws with screwdriver inserts and to
drill holes in the materials indicated in the technical data table, according to
its restrictions. In the event of improper use, the user is fully liable for any da-
mages or accidents.
SPECIFIC SAFETY NORMS FOR THE BATTERIES
This machine's electrical motor is equipped to be powered at a certain volta-
ge: only batteries that have the same voltage as the machine must be used!
Neglect to observe these regulations may cause serious damage to the ma-
chine and persons or things. The nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries
supplied with the machine contain substances that may pollute the environ-
ment or cause serious damage to persons, animals and things: the following
precautions must be strictly observed:
- do not expose batteries to temperatures over 50°C, do not expose them to
direct sunlight or flames: they could explode;
- do not throw the batteries in water and do not preserve them in humid envi-
ronments;
- only dispose used batteries in specific recycling bins and not with regular
waste;
- if these bins are not available, contact your local Sanitation services or re-
turn used batteries to the RUPES dealer who will dispose of them according
to law;
- do not attempt to open or open batteries: its liquid (30% potassium hydroxi-
de solution) is corrosive, toxic if ingested and causes burns.
For skin contact: immediately wash with soap and water and rinse thorou-
ghly. For eye contact: rinse with running water for several minutes keeping
eyelids wide open and seek a physician;
- for any body contact, inhalation or ingestion, always seek immediate first
aid from your local health services or a physician;
- avoid short circuiting, through metal, battery contacts: explosion or fire ha-
zard!

STARTING UP
Before starting-up the tool, ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been
damaged during storage or transport;
- the tool is complete; check that the number and type of components
comply with that reported in this instruction booklet;
- the power supply and socket outlet can support the load reported in the
table and that indicated on the tool identification plate reproduced and
explained on page 11.
ASSEMBLING THE TOOL
CHARGE THE BATTERY (H)
The new battery is supplied uncharged therefore it must be charged before
use. The new battery requires at least ten charge-uncharge cycles before pro-
viding the services indicated on the label.
To charge proceed as follows:
- insert the battery charger plug in the power socket;
- insert the battery in the specific housing (15) making sure that the rib on the
battery side corresponds to the groove on the battery housing;
- check that the red light (14) is on; charging is complete when the green light
goes on.
Warning: only use the battery charger in dry, clean areas away from heat
sources and flammable substances!
BATTERY ASSEMBLY (A)
Insert the battery (9) in the lower part of the handle (7) pushing upwards until
the fastening device clicks. Make sure that voltage is suitable for tool opera-
tions.
BIT AND INSERT ASSEMBLY AND DISMANTLING
DD122 - DD142 (F)
Unscrew the chuck until the jaws open wide enough to accommodate the
chosen bit or insert;
2 - tighten the chosen tool between the jaws by screwing in the chuck;
3 - make sure the tool does not rotate off-centre;
4 - follow the instructions in reverse order to dismantle.
ROTATION DIRECTION SELECTION (C)
Using the control (5) push the button towards or away from the machine body
to select the required rotation direction; the intermediate position acts as a
lock.
- Counter-clockwise rotation damages drill bit blades.
Warning: only use the control when the machine is not running!
MECHANICAL SPEED GEAR (D)
Use the control (3) to select one of the two speeds:
- position “1” - low speed
- position “2” - high speed
Warning: only use the control when the machine is not running!
TORQUE ADJUSTMENT (E)
Torque or drilling is adjusted using ring (4); torque is proportionate to the
number marked on the ring: 1= minimum; 16 (marked by bit symbol) = maxi-
mum.
Selection can be made with the machine running.
BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL
Ensure that:
- battery voltage is in accordance with machine specifications;
- the battery is firmly fastened in the handle;
- all machine components and accessories are correctly assembled.
STARTING AND STOPPING (B)
- Starting: press the switch (2); the pressure exerted on the button should be
proportionate to the number of required rotations (electronic regulation).
- Stopping: release the button (2).

TEST-RUN
Start the tool and check that there are no vibrations or off-centre tool
rotations.
Otherwise, switch off immediately and eliminate the problem.
ALLOWABLE TOOLS
Retail drill bits:
- Ø maximum 10 mm (DD122);
- Ø maximum 13 mm (DD142);
- screwdriver inserts.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (A)
- Press the eject buttons (8) while pulling the battery down until released;
- insert the new battery making sure that voltage corresponds to machine vol-
tage and that the rib on the battery side corresponds to the groove on the
battery housing.
MAINTENANCE
BATTERY CHARGER
Store in a cool, clean and dry place. Systematically clean the exterior with a
dry cloth.
BATTERIES
Warning: do not leave the batteries in the tool when not in use: remove them
from their housings and place them, not fully used, in a cool and dry place. Af-
ter charging batteries, unplug the battery charger from the electrical mains,
remove the batteries and store them as described above. Rechargeable bat-
tery life is limited: the number of times a battery can be charged depends on
many factors (type of use, battery age, etc.): when the battery is dead (can no
longer be recharged) dispose according to the indications found in this book-
let in the instructions on “Specific battery safety regulations”.
DRILLS
Warning: The battery must be removed from the machine for all maintenance
operations!
On completion of the work, or when necessary, remove any dust from the tool
body with a jet of compressed air.
Apart from cleaning operations, the user must not perform any ulterior main-
tenance.
Contact Authorised service centres if necessary.

STATIC RADIO INTERFERENCE PROTECTIVE SHIELD
Machines are built in accordance with the static radio interference prevention
and elimination effects according to regulations EN55014-1 + EN55014-2 +
EN61000-3-2 + EN61000-3-3.
NOISE LEVEL
The noise level produced is 79 dB (A), measured according to regulation
EN 23744
Warning: wear suitable hearing protections! (see warnings).
MEAN ACCELERATION VALUE
The mean square value of acceleration is less than 2,5 m/sec2measured ac-
cording to regulation UNI EN 28662.
GUARANTEE
All tools manufactured by RUPES Spa are guaranteed for 12 months from
the date of purchase against fabrication and material defects.
All tools must be used only with RUPES original accessories and spare
parts: we refuse all responsibility for damages or accidents caused by
non-observance of this rule which will also cause the termination of the
guarantee.
The guarantee will no longer be valid if the instructions contained in this
booklet are not followed, if the tool is used for purposes other than that for
which it is intended, if it is dismantled, interfered with in any way or dama-
ged due to neglect.
The guarantee will be made valid by filling-in the form on the
inside back cover of this instruction booklet.
If the tool is found to be defective or malfunctions, it should be returned
carriage free in one piece in its original packing together with the guaran-
tee certificate to the manufacturer or to one of the Assistance Centres li-
sted in the appendix to this booklet.

tion to its products without prior notice.
The manufacturer is not liable for any print errors. This document voids
and replaces previous ones.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Faulty or exhausted batteries must be preserved so that they
can be recycled or disposed of accordingly, in compliance with
the provisions of Directive 91/157/EEC.
Always use separate waste collection containers. If these are
not available, contact the local environmental protection body or a Rupes
distributor to ensure that exhaust batteries are disposed of in accordance
with law provisions.

AVERTISSEMENTS GÉNÉRAUX
MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ ET DE PRÉVENTION DES ACCIDENTS
Les instructions sur la sécurité et la prévention des accidents se trouvent sur le
fascicule “INDICATIONS SUR LA SÉCURITÉ” qui fait partie intégrante de cette
documentation; le livret du mode d'emploi ne donne que des informations sup-
plémentaires, strictement liées à l'usage spécifique de la machine.
Etant donné que des poussières, des éclats et des copeaux peuvent se former
pendant l'utilisation de la machine et qu'il existe un risque de toucher ses parties
tournantes : à cause des risques susceptibles de se présenter, nous vous re-
commandons de toujours porter les D.P.P. (dispositifs de protection personnel-
le, comme : les gants, les casques, les lunettes de protection, les masques de
protection des voies respiratoires, etc..) conformément aux normatives légales
en vigueur pour prévenir ou réduire les risques d'accidents.
L'usage prolongé de la machine peut endommager l'ouïe : porter un casque de
protection.
Les outils continuent parfois de tourner même une fois éteints. Les forets peu-
vent atteindre des températures très élevées : faire attention au risque de lésion
personnelle ou de dégâts matériels ainsi qu'au risque d'incendie.
Avant l'actionnement, empoigner correctement les machines et vérifier si elles
ne touchent pas la surface de travail, contrôler si le matériau à usiner est correc-
tement fixé et respecter les mesures de sécurité s'appliquant au matériau en
cours d'usinage.
Oter les batteries lorsque les machines ne sont pas utilisées, avant d'en effec-
tuer l'entretien et pendant le remplacement des accessoires.
Attention ! l'outil continue à fonctionnner pendant quelques secondes après
l'arrêt!
UTILISATION CONFORME AUX BUTS PRÉVUS
Vérifier avant l'utilisation si les caractéristiques de travail des forets et des inserts
pour la visseuse sont compatibles avec celles de l'outil. Vérifier si les forets et
les inserts sont montés et serrés correctement. Vérifier en outre si l'outil, les bat-
teries et les accessoires sont manipulés et rangés conformément aux indica-
tions du fabricant. Les machines ne doivent jamais fonctionner ni dans une am-
biance humide ni en présence de gaz ou de liquides inflammables.
Ces outils sont conçus pour serrer des vis avec des inserts pour visseuses et
pour percer des trous dans les matériaux indiqués sur le tableau des données
techniques, dans les limites indiquées par ce même tableau. En cas d'utilisation
non conforme aux buts prévus, l'utilisateur sera tenu responsable des éventuels
dommages et accidents.
MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ SPÉCIFIQUES AUX BATTERIES
Le moteur électrique de ces machines doit être alimenté avec une tension pré-
cise : il est strictement obligatoire de travailler avec des batteries ayant la même
tension que la machine ! En ne respectant pas cette mesure on risque d'en-
dommager sérieusement les machines ou d'autres objets et même de provo-
quer des lésions personnelles.
Les batteries rechargeables au nickel cadmium fournies avec les machines
contiennent des substances susceptibles de polluer l'environnement, de bles-
ser gravement les personnes ou les animaux ou de causer des dégâts maté-
riels : il est essentiel de respecter scrupuleusement les précautions suivantes :
- ne pas exposer les batteries à une température supérieure à 50°C, ne pas les
laisser exposées à la lumière solaire directe, ne pas les jeter au feu : elles
pourraient exploser;
- ne pas jeter les batteries dans l'eau et ne pas les conserver dans des endroits
humides;
- ne pas jeter les batteries épuisées avec les ordures ménagères, mais exclusi-
vement dans les poubelles prévues à cet effet;
- si ces poubelles ne sont pas disponibles, adressez-vous à l'entreprise
chargée de l'élimination des ordures de votre territoire ou retournez les batte-
ries épuisées à votre revendeur RUPES qui se chargera de les éliminer
conformément à la loi;
- ne pas ouvrir ni tenter d'ouvrir les batteries : le liquide qu'elles contiennent (so-
lution d'hydroxyde de potassium à 30%) est corrosif, nocif si on l'avale et pro-
voque des brûlures graves. En cas de contact avec la peau : laver immédiate-
ment à l'eau savonneuse en rinçant soigneusement.
En cas de contact avec les yeux : lavez à l'eau courante pendant quelques mi-
nutes en maintenant les paupières bien ouvertes et consulter un médecin;
- en cas de contact avec une quelconque partie du corps, d'inhalation ou d'in-
gestion consulter toujours le service des urgences compétent du territoire
ou un médecin ;
- éviter de court-circuiter avec du métal les contacts de la batterie : danger
d'explosion ou d'incendie !

CONTRÔLES PRÉALABLES
Avant de mettre en service la machine vérifier si :
- l'emballage est intègre et non endommagé à la suite du transport et du
stockage ;
- la machine est complète, en contrôlant si le nombre et la nature des compo-
sants sont conformes à ce livret ;
- la source d'énergie et les prises de courant sont en mesure de supporter
l'absorption des chargeurs de batterie, conformément au tableau qui suit.
MISE EN SERVICE
Avant de mettre la machine en service, s'assurer que:
- l'emballage est intégre et qu'il ne montre aucun signe d'endomma-
gements dus au transport et au stockage;
- la machine est complète; s'assurer que le nombre et la nature des
composants sont conformes aux indications contenues dans le présent
livret d'instructions;
- la source d'énergie et les prises de courant à disposition peuvent
supporter la charge indiquée dans le tableau et sur la plaquette
d'identification de la machine, dont le fac-similé et les explications
relatives sont fournis page 15.
MONTAGE DE LA MACHINE
CHARGE DE LA BATTERIE (H)
La batterie neuve est fournie déchargée, par conséquent, avant de l'utiliser, il
est indispensable de la charger. La batterie neuve doit subir au moins une di-
zaine de cycles de charge-décharge avant de fournir les prestations indi-
quées sur l'étiquette.
Pour la charge procéder de la sorte:
- enfoncer la fiche du chargeur de batterie dans la prise de courant;
- placer la batterie dans le logement prévu à cet effet (15) en faisant attention
à ce que la côte présente sur un côté de la batterie soit en face de la rainure
du logement de la batterie;
- vérifier si la lampe-témoin rouge (14) est éclairée ; la charge est achevée lor-
sque la lampe-témoin verte s'éclaire.
Attention: n'utiliser le chargeur de batterie que dans un endroit sec, pro-
pre, loin de toute source de chaleur et de toute substance inflammable!
MONTAGE DE LA BATTERIE (A)
Placez la batterie (9) dans le bas de la poignée (7) en poussant vers le haut
jusqu'à ce que le dispositif d'accrochage fasse un déclic. Contrôler si la valeur
de la tension est adaptée au fonctionnement de la machine.
MONTAGE ET DÉMONTAGE DES FORETS ET DES INSERTS
DD122 - DD142 (F)
1 - Dévisser le mandrin jusqu'à ce que les griffes laissent une ouverture suffi-
sante pour loger le foret ou l'insert choisi;
2 - serrer l'outil choisi entre les griffes en vissant le mandrin;
3 - contrôler si l'outil tourne de façon bien centrée;
4 - pour le démontage, suivre les indications en sens inverse.
SÉLECTION DU SENS DE ROTATION (C)
Actionner la commande (5) et pousser la touche vers l'intérieur ou vers l'exté-
rieur du corps de la machine pour sélectionner le sens de rotation voulu ; la
position intermédiaire sert de verrouillage.
- La rotation anti-horaire abîme le fil des forets de perçage.
Attention: actionner la commande uniquement si la machine est à
l'arrêt!
CHANGEMENT DE VITESSE MÉCANIQUE (D)
La commande (3) permet de sélectionner deux vitesses:
- position “1” - faible vitesse
- position “2” - vitesse élevée
Attention: actionner la commande uniquement si la machine est à l'arrêt!

RÉGLAGE DU COUPLE DE SERRAGE (E)
Le couple de serrage ou de perçage se règle en agissant sur l'anneau (4); le
couple est proportionnel au nombre inscrit sur l'anneau : 1 = minimum; 16
(représenté par le symbole du foret) = maximum.
La sélection peut s'effectuer avec la machine en mouvement.
AVANT LA MISE EN SERVICE
Vérifier si:
- la tension de la batterie est conforme aux caractéristiques de la machine;
- la batterie est fixée solidement sur la poignée;
- tous les composants de la machine et les accessoires sont montés correc-
tement.
DÉMARRAGE ET ARRÊT (B)
- Démarrage: appuyer sur la touche (2) ; la pression sur la touche doit être
proportionnelle au nombre de révolutions voulu (réglage électronique).
- Arrêt: libérer la touche (2).
FONCTIONNEMENT D'ESSAI
Démarrer la machine et contrôler s'il n'y a ni vibration ni décentrage des outils.
En cas contraire, dégager immédiatement et éliminer les anomalies.
OUTILS DE TRAVAIL ADMIS
Forets de perceuse dans le commerce :
- Ø maximum 10 mm (DD122);
- Ø maximum 13 mm (DD142);
- inserts pour visseuses.
REMPLACEMENT DE LA BATTERIE (A)
- Appuyer sur les touches de décrochage (8) et tirer en même temps vers le
bas la batterie déchargée jusqu'à ce qu'elle sorte;
- placer la nouvelle batterie en faisant attention à ce que sa tension soit égale
à la tension de fonctionnement de la machine et à ce que le relief du corps
de la batterie s'engage dans la rainure pratiquée à l'intérieur de la poignée.
ENTRETIEN
CHARGEUR DE BATTERIE
Conserver dans un endroit frais, propre et sec. Nettoyer systématiquement
l'extérieur avec un chiffon sec.
BATTERIES
Attention: ne laissez pas les batteries dans les outils une fois le travail ter-
miné : sortez-les de leurs logements et rangez-les, pas totalement dé-
chargées, dans un endroit frais et sec. Après avoir achevée la recharge d'une
batterie, débranchez le chargeur de batterie du secteur, sortez la batterie et
rangez-la de la façon indiquée plus haut.
La durée des batteries rechargeables est limitée dans le temps: le nombre de
recharges possibles d'une batterie dépend de nombreux facteurs (type d'utili-
sation, âge de la batterie, etc..): lorsque la batterie est épuisée (elle ne tient
plus la charge) elle doit être éliminée conformément aux indications de
données dans ce manuel au chapitre “Mesures de sécurité spécifiques aux
batteries”.
PERCEUSES
Attention: toutes les opérations d'entretien doivent s'effectuer sur la machine
sans batterie !
A la fin du travail ou en cas de besoin, épousseter le corps de la machine

Toutes les machines construites par la Société RUPES Spa sont garanties
pendant 12 mois à compter de la date d’achat contre les défauts matériau
et de fabrication. Les machines ne doivent être utilisées qu'avec les pièces
détachées et les accessoires originaux RUPES: nous déclinons toute re-
sponsabilité en cas d'accidents ou de dégâts matériels provoqués par le
non-respect de cette norme, qui entraînera en outre l'annulation de la ga-
rantie. La garantie prend fin en cas de non-respect des prescriptions du
présent livret ou en cas d’utilisation impropre de la machine. Elle prend fin
également si la machine est démontée ou modifiée ou en cas de domma-
ges évidents dérivant d’un mauvais entretien. La garantie est subor-
donnée au remplissage du coupon qui se trouve à la dernière page de
couverture du présent livret d’instructions. En cas de mauvais fonction-
nement, la machine, accompagnée de son certificat de garantie, devra être
remise ou envoyée en port payé, non démontée et dans son emballage
d’origine, au fabricant ou à un Centre d’Assistance agrée indiqué sur la liste
annexée au présent livret. La garantie ne donne pas en aucun cas droit au
remplacement de la machine. RUPES Spa se réserve le droit de modifier
sans préavis les caractéristiques techniques ou esthétiques des ses pro-
duits. Nous déclinons toute responsabilité quant aux erreurs d'impression
éventuelles. Ce document annule et remplace tous les précédents.
BATTERIE RECHARGEABLE
Il est nécessaire de conserver les batteries défectueuses ou con-
sommées pour les recycler ou les éliminer selon la directive CEE
91/157
Pour les éliminer, utilisez les conteneurs pour le tri sélectif. S’ils ne sont pas
disponibles, adressez- vous à l’entreprise chargée de l’élimination des or-
dures de votre territoire ou bien à votre revendeur Rupes qui se chargera de
les éliminer conformément à la loi.

ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
SICHERHEITS- UND UNFALLVERHÜTUNGSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Sicherheits- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften sind im beiliegenden Heft
“HINWEISE ZUR SICHERHEIT” enthalten. Das Heft ist vollwertiger Bestandteil
der vorliegenden Dokumentation; diese Gebrauchsanleitung enthält daher
nur Zusatzinformationen, welche den spezifischen Einsatz dieses Geräts be-
treffen.
Während des Betriebs der Maschine bilden sich Staub, Splitter bzw. Späne
und es besteht die Gefahr, mit rotierenden Maschinenteilen in Berührung zu
kommen: Aufgrund dieser Risiken wird empfohlen, den geltenden Richtlinien
zur Unfallverhütung bzw. Gefahrenreduzierung entsprechend stets die kom-
plette individuelle Schutzausrüstung (wie zum Beispiel Handschuhe, Gehör-
schutz, Schutzbrille, Atemschutzmaske, usw.) zu tragen.
Fortgesetzt längeres Arbeiten mit den Maschinen kann zu Gehörschäden füh-
ren: daher bitte immer Gehörschutz tragen.
Die Werkzeuge können nach dem Ausschalten noch weiter drehen. Die Bohr-
spitzen können hohe Temperaturen erreichen: Berücksichtigen Sie bitte die
daraus entstehende Verletzungsgefahr für Personen sowie die Risiken der
Sachbeschädigung und Brandverursachung.
Vor dem Einschalten darauf achten, die Maschinen fest zu ergreifen. Sie dür-
fen ferner keinen Kontakt mit der Arbeitsfläche haben. Bitte beachten Sie die
für das zu bearbeitende Material geltenden Sicherheitsnormen und stellen Sie
sicher, dass es gut fixiert ist.
Wenn die Maschinen nicht verwendet werden sowie vor Wartungseingriffen
und zum Auswechseln von Zubehör die Akkus entfernen.
Achtung! Das Werkzeug läuft nach dem Ausschalten noch für einige Sekun-
den weite!.
ZWECKENTSPRECHENDE ANWENDUNG
Vor dem Gebrauch muss überprüft werden, ob die Betriebseigenschaften der
Bohrspitzen und Schraubaufsätze mit denen der Maschine kompatibel sind.
Darauf achten, dass die Bohrspitzen und Aufsätze ordnungsgemäß montiert
und befestigt sind. Ferner ist sicherzustellen, dass die Maschine, die Akkus
und das Zubehör entsprechend den Herstellerangaben sorgsam behandelt
und aufbewahrt werden. Die Maschinen dürfen nicht in feuchten Umgebun-
gen oder bei Vorhandensein von Gas oder entflammbaren Flüssigkeiten
verwendet werden.
Diese Werkzeuge sind mit den entsprechenden Schraubaufsätzen für das Fe-
stziehen von Schrauben sowie zur Realisierung von Bohrungen in den in der
Tabelle der technischen Daten aufgezählten Materialien konzipiert. Werden
die Geräte für nicht vorgesehene Zwecke verwendet, übernimmt der Benutzer
jede Verantwortung für eventuelle Schäden oder Unfälle.
SPEZIFISCHE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN FÜR DIE BATTERIEN
Der Elektromotor dieser Maschinen ist für eine Spannungsversorgung mit
spezifischer Voltzahl konzipiert: Es ist strikt vorgeschrieben, ausschließlich
Batterien zu verwenden, deren Voltzahl mit der der Maschine übereinstimmt!
Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Vorschrift kann zu schweren Beschädigungen der
Maschine selbst sowie zu Personen- und Sachschäden führen. Die mit der
Maschine mitgelieferten Nickel-Cadmium-Akkus enthalten Substanzen, die die
Umwelt verschmutzen und schwere Schäden an Personen, Tieren und Sach-
gegenständen verursachen: Daher ist es unabdinglich, folgende vorbeugende
Maßnahmen strikt einzuhalten:
- Die Akkus keinen Temperaturen über 50°C oder direkter Sonneneinstrahlung
aussetzen und sie nicht ins Feuer werfen: Explosionsgefahr!
- Die Akkus nicht in Wasser tauchen oder in feuchten Umgebungen auf-
bewahren;
- Verbrauchte Akkus nicht mit normalem Hausmüll sondern ausschließlich in
speziellen Behältern der Abfalltrennung entsorgen;
- Sollten derartige Behälter nicht verfügbar sein, wenden Sie sich bitte an die
hierfür zuständigen Sammelstellen Ihrer Region oder geben Sie die verbrauch-
ten Akkus Ihrem RUPES-Vertragshändler zurück, der sie den gesetzlichen Vor-
schriften entsprechend entsorgt;
- Versuchen Sie nicht, die Akkus zu öffnen: Die darin enthaltene Flüssigkeit
(30%ige Kaliumhydroxidlösung) ist korrosiv, bei Einnahme hochgiftig und
verursacht schwere Verätzungen.
Im Falle des Hautkontakts: sofort mit Wasser und Seife reinigen und sorgfäl-
tig abspülen. Im Falle des Kontakts mit den Augen: mehrere Minuten lang
bei weit geöffnetem Auge mit fließendem Wasser spülen und einen Arzt auf-
suchen;
- in jedem Fall des Kontakts mit dem Körper, bei Einatmen oder Verschlucken
unbedingt sofort einen lokal zuständigen sanitären Notdienst oder einen
Arzt aufsuchen;
- Die Kontakte der Batterien nicht über Metalle kurzschließen: Explosions- oder
Brandgefahr!
