Safety and Maintenance
◼While using the phone, please observe the following points
• Before use please read the instruction manual carefully.
• Do not power on the phone when use of the phone is prohibited or it may cause interruption or danger.
• Please keep your phone off when you are on a plane. If functions that will automatically power on your phone, such as
alarm clock or calendar, are setup, please check and cancel the configuration before boarding the plane.
•While using the phone, please keep away from heat sources and high voltage environments, such as electric appliances
or electric cooking devices. Please use the phone under normal temperature. Using it in temperatures above 55℃or
below -10℃may damage the phone.
•Pay attention to fire prevention. Make sure to power off the phone while you are near flammable materials, such as
gas-filling stations and fuel storage.
•Do not hold the phone in your hand while driving. Do not put the phone above the air bag or within reach of the airbag so
as to prevent damage when the airbag is inflated.
•Original battery, charger and accessories should be used.
•Phone may interfere with nearby electronic devices; therefore keep it away from electronic devices such as radio, PC,
pacemaker and hearing aid, etc. Do not place the phone near credit cards or magnetic fields. Please power off your phone
in hospital and other special places according to specific regulations there.
•Keep the phone away from mechanic vibration or shaking. Do not hit the screen of your phone with sharp tools.
•If plastic cover or case is used for the phone, surface coating may be damaged.
•Do not disassemble the phone without professional help.
•Do not use benzene, thinner or alcohol to clean the cover of your phone. Keep your phone away from corrosive
chemicals such as detergent. Use a clean and soft cloth instead and wipe gently.
•Prevent your phone from insulation or places with excessive smoke or dust.
•Your phone is not water-proof, so please keep it dry. Do not use it in a damp environment, such as a bathroom. Keep it
away from rain and moisture.
•When you are to pull the charger away from your phone or cut off the power supply of the charger, please hold the
connector tightly and then pull out. Do not drag the power cable.
•Do not rely on your phone as the only communication device for emergency, such as medical rescue.
• Keep the phone out of reach of children so as to avoid danger.
◼While using battery, please observe following points
• Before use, please read instructions for use, as well as the label on the surface of battery.
• Please charge the battery in a cool and well-ventilated room. Otherwise, high environment temperature may lead to
overheating, smoking, burning, distortion or even explosion of the battery.
• There are special protection circuits and devices inside the battery, so do not open the battery; otherwise it may lead to
short circuit or electrolyte leak. If electrolytes enter the eyes, there is danger of blindness. In such case, immediately wash
eyes with clean water (Do not to rub the eyes with hands) and then immediately go to hospital for treatment.
• Do not squeeze the battery. Keep it away from mechanical vibration and shaking. Do not short connect the battery, for
this may damage the battery and components connected to it. A short circuit may be caused by coin or clip directly
connecting the anode and cathode of the battery, so do not put the battery together with metal objects.
• Please keep the metal contact points and battery clean.
• Do not use a damaged or depleted battery.
• The battery should be replaced when it cannot meet the requirements for performance. Battery can be charged
hundreds of times before it should be replaced. Battery belongs to consumables. Though it can be charged hundreds of
times, its quantity of electric charge may decrease gradually. When service time (talk time and standby time) is found to
have decreased, the battery shall be replaced.
• Prevent battery’s exposure to the sun or places with excessive smoke or dust. Do not use it in damp environments, such
as a bathroom. The battery is not waterproof; so keep it away from rain and moisture.
• Do not put the battery in places that are too hot or too cold. Temperatures above 55℃or below -10℃may affect
performance of the battery.
• Do not put the battery in fire so as to avoid explosion.
• Do not put the battery in water so as to avoid short circuit inside, resulting in battery overheat, smoking, distortion,
damage or even explosion.

• Treat battery according to local regulations (for example, recycling). Do not treat battery as domestic garbage so as to
avoid explosion and pollution.
• Special charger should be used to charge this battery, and charging time should not exceed 12 hours.
•Keep battery out of reach of children to avoid danger.
•Do not place the battery in fire; follow local laws and ordinances in disposing used battery.
Using other types of battery, charger and accessories may violate the certification or warranty terms of equipment and
may result in danger.
◼While using battery charger, please following points:
• Before use, please read instructions first, as well as labels on the surface of the charger.
• Do not disassemble or modify the charger or use it when power cable is damaged; otherwise there will be electric shock
or fire, or the charger may be damaged.
• Do not touch the charger with wet hands. If the charger contacts water or other liquids, immediately cut off the power
supply.
• Do not short connect the charger and keep it away from mechanical vibration or shaking and direct sunshine. Do not use
it in damp environments, such as a bathroom. The battery charger is not waterproof; so keep it away from rain and
moisture.
• Do not use the charger near electric appliances such as a TV set or radio.
• When pulling out the plug, hold the charger instead of dragging the power cable so as to avoid damage to the power
cable.
•Keep the charger out of reach from children so as to avoid danger.

1.4.Screen background light
Background light can illuminate the screen. When you power on your phone, the background light will turn on for a certain
period. If no key is pressed within the period, the background light will turn off automatically so as to save battery.
To setup background light brightness:
1) [Menu]→[Settings]→[Display]→[Backlight]
1.5.Adjust the volume
During a call
1. Press [Up Key] to increase the volume.
2. Press [Down Key] to decrease the volume.
During MP3 playing
1. Press [up Key] to increase the volume.

Instructions before Use
2.1 Connectors on the Phone

2.2 Assemble the antenna
2.3.Charging the battery by adapter
When the battery is fixed to the phone , put Mini USB cable to AC-Adapter Jack.
During charging, screen shows the battery charging icon, when the battery is full, the charging
icon will stop rolling.
2.4.Install SIM card
Always switch the phone off before removing or inserting SIM card.
Open the bottom cover of the battery. Remove the battery; slide the SIM card into the SIM card
slot. Make sure that the contact area of the card is facing down, and the beveled corner
matches with the SIM card slot. Put in the battery and install the bottom cover.

3.Operation
3.1 Power on
The device can work on both single battery mode and single charger mode.
1. Press and hold [Power key] button until boot screen appears.
2. If there is a prompt for PIN code, please input your PIN code and then press [OK] key.
After power on, if SIM card inserted is valid, your phone will automatically search for an
available network; if not, it will prompt: Insert SIM or Invalid SIM.
3.1.1 PIN code
PIN code is used to prevent illegal use of user’s SIM card. If your phone has enabled PIN code
protection, there will be prompt for entering the PIN code. If wrong the PIN code is entered for
three times, the SIM card will be automatically locked. You have to enter PUK code in order to
unlock it. PIN code is related to SIM card instead of the phone and is provided by your network
service operator.
3.1.2 PUK code
PUK code, referring to personal unlock code, is used to unlock a SIM card that is locked
because of the wrong input of PIN code. If the wrong input of PUK code exceeds ten attempts,
the SIM card will lose efficacy. PUK code is provided by network service operator.
Please contact with the operator for the default PIN and PUK..
3.2 Power off
To power off, please hold [Power key] until power off screen appears.
Basic Function
4.1 Dial Phone
4.1.1 In standby state, press the number keys to enter the phone number and then press
[Send key] to call.
4.1.2 Press [DEL/BACK key] to clear the last digit or hold it to clear all.If the phone number
being dialed can be recognized by the phone book, the name of the contact person will be
displayed on the dialing screen.
4.1.3 Press [Power key] to end a call.
4.2 Quick dial from contacts list
4.2.1 In standby state, press [DEL/BACK key] to enter the phonebook.
4.2.2 Slide the scroll bar to choose a contact you want to dial .
4.2.3 Press [Send key] to dial out.
4.3 Quick dial from Outcall number list

4.3.1 In standby state, press [Send key] to enter [Outcall number] list.
4.3.2 Slide the scroll bar to select the person you want to call or the number you want to dial.
4.3.3 Press [Send key] to dial out the number.
4.4 Answer incoming call
When there is an incoming call, incoming call interface will be displayed together with a special
ringtone.
4.4.1 Press [Send key] to answer calls.
4.4.2 Press [Power key] directly to reject the incoming call.
➢If the phone number of a caller can be recognized, the number will be displayed on the
incoming call screen.
➢If information about the number is stored in contacts, the caller’s name will also be
displayed.
➢If a caller hides his/her number or the network bans call indication, the incoming call is
displayed as ******.
4.5 Terminate call
1. When there is an incoming call, press [Power key] to reject the call.
2. During the call, press [Power key] to terminate current call.
4.6 Making emergency calls
As long as you are within coverage of network, you can make emergency calls even you have
not registered to the local network or do not have SIM/UIM card. Enter local emergency
number and then press [Send key] to make an emergency call.
4.6.1 Make international long-distance call
1. Before an international phone number can be dialed, press [0] key until “+” sign appears.
“+” sign tells the network you are making an international call.
2. Input country code, area code and phone number.
3. Press [Send key] to call.
Note:Some networks do not allow”+” for dialing international numbers,you can use 00 instead
of”+”
4.7 Talk options
Key operations as below in the process of call:
The phone provides some talk control functions in the process of call.
➢During the call, press [DEL/BACK key] to back to Home status.
➢During the call, press [Left soft key] to enter [Options] menu to access the talk control
functions.
Hold/Resume talk state

If network supports, you can hold current call.
1. During the call, press [Left soft key] and select [Hold] in the [Options] menu.
2. To activate held talk, Press [Left soft key] and select [ Unhold] in the [Options] menu.
Dial second number
During a call you can dial another number.
1. Press [Left soft key] and select [Add call] to dial second call,
When the second number is put through, the first call will be held automatically.
Answering a second incoming call
Please make sure the network supports the call waiting function and the status has been set to
Enabled.
1. If there is a second incoming call in the process of the first call, you’ll hear the “Beep” tone
and the screen will prompt.
2. Press [Left soft key] to answer the second incoming call.
When the second call is put through, the first call will be switched to held state.
3. Press [Power key] to terminate the second call.
Select current phone number
When the second call is answered, press [Send key] to swap between the current call and the
held call, and press [Left soft key] to [Options] menu:
Swap: to hold current call and activate the held call
Merge: Add held call to conference call.
End call: Terminate current call.
End Merge: Terminate conference call.
Note: Not all networks provide the multi-party service.
Menu Functions
You can press [Left soft key] in standby state to enter the main menu. Press [DEL/BACK key]
or [Power key] to return to standby mode.
5. Message
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Message] menu.
Write Message
In the edit mode, you can edit SMS content and add recipient.
When editing SMS, press the [Left soft key] to enter [options] menu, as listed below:
Select: choose and view message.

New message: edit new message and Send the message to people.
Settings: in this mode ,you can general settings and SIM Card Settings
Delete thread:Delete information
Cell broadcasts: Receiving Broadcast Information from Cells
Messages in SIM:Insert template message.
Message Setting
You can set the function for Text message, for example:Delivery report, SMS Validity,Manage
SIM card messages,Save SMS On SIM,SMS Service Center ,Delivery report,Multimedia
Message Validity and so on.
Delivery report: Request a delivery report for each message you send
Manage SIM card messages: Manage messages stored on your SIM card.
Auto-retrieve: Automatically retrieve messages.
Roaming auto-retrieve: Automatically retrieve messages while roaming
6. Contacts
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Contacts] menu.
1. Move the cursor to input box for search the contact record quickly, you can input the
character or number to search from the records list, and the matched records will list on
the LCD。
2. Press [Left soft key] to enter [Options] menu, with the following options:Add contact,
contacts to display ,Import/Export,Batch delete,SIM capacity,Phone Capacity
Add contact : Creat a new contact record.Store the contact to phone or SIM card.
Contacts to display: you can choose display ALL contacts,phone or SIM card.
Import/Export: import/Export contacts form internal/external storage.
Batch delete: Delete all contacts.
7. Call logs
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Call logs] menu.
7.1 Missed Call:
Press [left key] to view missed calls list.
7.2 Dialed calls :
Press [left key] to view dialed calls list.
7.3 Received Calls:
Press [ left key] to view received calls list.

8.Tools
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Tools] menu. You have a choice here for
Calendar,Calculator,Bluetooth
8.1 Calendar
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Tools] menu. The following are the functions.
Today: Move the cursor to the current data in the calendar interface.
Select Date: Move the cursor to the special data in the calendar interface.
8.2 Calculator
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Tools]→[Calculator] menu.
Key operations:
[UP key]: Press for Addition;
[Down key]: Press for Subtraction;
[Left key]: Press for Multiplication;
[Right key]: Press for Division ;
[Left soft key]: Equal to “=”, press to display the calculation result.
[DEL/BACK key]: Press to clear contents that have been entered.
[*]: press to enter “-”.
8.FM Radio
In standby state, enter [Menu]→FM Radio and also you can press [FM] key to enter the FM
menu directly..The following are the options:
Radio List: Channel the new FM from the list.
Turn Off: Exit the FM player.
9.Settings
In standby state, enter [Menu]→[Settings] menu. The following are the settings:

10. Call settings
In the state ,you can enter check your SIM card function,you can setting voice mail , Fixed
dialing numbers,Call forwarding ,Call barring settings, Additional settings.
Voice call: You can set voice mail, call forwarding, call barring and so on.
◼Voice mail: Select the voice mail service operator and the voice number.
◼Call divert: Divert the incoming calls to other phone number. This function requests
network’s support. Please contact your operator for details.
◼Call barred: Use the menu to set the call barring. It contains All outgoing calls, Cancel all,
Change barring password. This function requests network’s support. Please contact your
operator for details.
◼Additional settings: You can set Caller ID and call waiting function.
Also you can choose [General Settings], Setting ID dial list,Call recording ,Fade-in ringer
and SpeedDial.
IP dial list:Add IP Phone number,Then select the IP dialing from the left-click menu of the
dialing interface.
Call recording : Turn on /Off automatic recording .
Fade-in ringer: When enabled,incoming call ringer volume will be turned up.
Speed dial: We can set nine groups speed dial number, When we press 2 number key, after
3 seconds, the second group's number will be automatically allocated.
Family :Set the number for [M1~M5] key
11.2 Display You can set below items.
Contrast:Adjust the LCD display brightness
Backlight : we can set the time of screen timeout ,as 15 seconds,30 seconds and so on .
11.8 Security
Set up SIM card lock:You can set PIN lock to On or Off and change PIN. The default PIN
code is provided by your SIM operator.
Screen lock:Set the screen lock and password.
Unlock method: when the device in standby status, press #804#123456#, press the green
key(send key) to unlock.
11.9 Date and Time
Set time zone, time/date, date format and time format
11.10 Language:
Set the phone language.

11.11 Schedule on/off
Set schedule power on or power off.
11.12 Storage
device storage in internal storage or in SD card.
11.13 Memory Cleanup
Cleaning up system garbage,Release memory space.
11.14 Reset
Restore the phone setting to factory data status.
11.15 About phone
Display some phone information, such as Model number, Android version, Baseband version
and so on.
FAQ
If any problems are encountered while using the phone, please refer to the FAQ’s below. If the
problems still exists, please contact the manufacturer or service provider.
◼“Enter PIN code" appears on the screen
Enter valid PIN code of your SIM card. Please contact your operator immediately if you do not
know the code.
◼“Enter PUK code" appears on the screen
Your SIM card will be locked if you enter wrong PIN code for three times. To unlock your SIM
card, you have to enter PUK code. Please contact your operator for details.
◼“Insert SIM card" appears on the screen
Make sure SIM card is correctly installed. Check if SIM card works properly. It may have
defects or faults. If so, please contact your operator for details.
◼“Not in service area. Network failure.” is displayed
Check signal intensity indicator. If there is no signal, you may be in the basement or network
blind area in a building. Please move to another location to receive signal. If in your situation
you are not covered by a network, please contact your operator for details.
◼Poor sound quality, echo or noise makes communication difficult.
Hang-up your phone and dial again. Your network may connect the phone to a line with better
communication quality.
◼Standby time declines

Signal at your location is weak, making the phone search for signal for a long time. When you
don’t want to answer any calls, please turn off your phone’s power for a time being to help
preserve battery life. It is also possible that the battery has been used for a long time and is
approaching its life-span. In this case, please replace the battery.
◼Phone fails to boot
Check battery volume or charge the battery. The battery is probably uncharged. Please charge
your phone until the battery is restored, then try to power it on again.
◼Cannot send short message
Please check the SMSC address if the correct number has been set. Perhaps you have not
opened the SMS service; Recipient of short message is invalid.
◼Can’t charge
There are three possibilities:
1. Charger of your phone does not work properly. You can contact the nearest service provider
or dealer;
2. Ambient temperature is not appropriate. Please change charging environment;
3. Poor contact. Please check the plug of your charger.
◼Cannot add entries into phonebook
Phonebook is full. You will have to delete other entries to free up space.
◼Cannot select some functions
The service is not available or the location network does not support this service. Please
contact your operator for details.

This RuxTek 3G WCDMA Fixed Wireless Phone without WiFi meets the government's
requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards that were
developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of
scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the
safety of all persons regardless of age or health.
FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement
The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device types:
smart phone (FCC ID: 2BDRQ-RTP403) has also been tested against this SAR limit. The
highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use on the body
is 1.089W/kg.. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the
handset kept 0mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure
requirements, use accessories that maintain a 0mm separation distance between the user's
body and the back of the handset. The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories
should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not
satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and should
be avoided.
Body-worn Operation
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure
requirements, a minimum separation distance of 0mm must be maintained between the user’s
body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips, holsters, and similar
accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn
accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure
requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
