Safety Instructions
These instructions are intended to ensure that users can use the product
correctly and avoid danger or property damage.
Precautions are divided into Warnings and Cautions.
Warnings: Serious injury or death may occur if any of the warnings
are neglected.
Cautions: Injury or equipment damage may occur if any of the
cautions are neglected.
• You must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety regulations you
reside and/or operate in.
• Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage)
and the Limited Power Source with 24 VAC or 12 VDC according to the
IEC60950-1 standard.
• Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as overload and/or
overheating may create a re hazard.
• Please make sure that all connector are rmly secured. When the product
is mounted on a wall or ceiling, the product should be securely installed.
• If smoke, odor, or noise emits from the device, remove power at once and
unplug all cables.
• Proper conguration of all passwords and other security settings is the
responsibility of the installer and/or end-user.

• Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera.
• Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
• Do not touch sensor modules with ngers. If cleaning is necessary, use
clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not
be used for an extended period, please replace the lens cap to protect the
sensor from dirt.
• Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or
smearing may occur otherwise (which is not a malfunction), and aect the
endurance of sensor at the same time.
• The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser
equipment is in using, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be
exposed to the laser beam.
• Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operating
temperature shall be-30°C ~+60°C, or -40°C ~ +60°C if the camera model
has an “H” in its sux), dusty or damp locations, and do not expose it to
high electromagnetic radiation.

camera is powering on to restore the default settings.

Installation
Before you start:
• Ensure the camera is in good condition and all accessories were included.
• Ensure the recorder is powered o during installation.
• Ensure the mounting surface is sucient to support the weight of the
camera.
For cameras that feature infrared illuminators (IRs):
• Dust or grease on the dome may cause IR reections in the image.
Do not remove the dome cover lm until the installation is complete.
• Ensure there are no reective surfaces close to the camera lens.
• The foam ring around the lens must be seated ush against the inner
surface of the dome to isolate the lens from the IRs.

Memory Card Installation
The 45 series IP cameras support a memory card for local storage. Use the
following procedure to mount the memory card.
1. Remove dome cover.
Unscrew the dome cover to disassemble the camera with
supplied wrench.
2. Insert the memory card into the memory card slot.
3. To remove the memory card, push it in until it springs out.

Camera Mounting
Before you start:
• Do not remove the protective lm from the dome until installation is
complete.
• Do not touch the inside of the dome.
1. Paste the drill template to the desired mounting place.
2. Prepare for cable routing.
• If you want to route cables through the ceiling, cut a hole according to
Hole A of the drill template.

• If you want to route cable through the side outlet of themounting base,
use a plier to remove the piece of plastic that blocks the side outlet.
3. Fix the mounting base with expansion screws or self-tapping screws. If
you use expansion screws, drill the screw holes according to the Screw
Hole 1 of the drill template.

4. Route and connect cables. Fix the camera to the mounting base with
two PM4×8 screws.
(Optional) For external cameras, a waterproof jacket on the connection is required
for water resistance.

5. Adjust the camera angle.
1) View the camera image via a live view on the camera’s or recorder’s
rmware.
2) Slightly loosen the adjustment screw next to the RESET button.
3) Use the supplied plastic ring to adjust the camera angle.
4) Remove the plastic ring and tighten the adjustment screw.
6. Install the dome cover on the camera.
7. Remove the protective lm on the dome after installation is complete.

Installation of Network Cable Water-proof Jacket (Optional)
If the camera is installed outdoors, you can adapt the water-proof
accessory for the network cable after the camera is secured on the
installation surface.

1. Feed the plugless network cable (7) through the lock nut (6),
waterproof rubber gasket (5) (the rubber gasket inset ridge must face
the waterproof endcap), and the waterproof endcap (4) in order.
2. Crimp an RJ-45 network plug (3) onto the end of the cable, taking care
to insert the twisted pairs of wires in correct order.
3. Place the O-type gasket (2) onto the end of the camera’s network
interface socket (1).
4. Insert the network plug (3) into the camera’s network interface socket
(1).
5. Insert the waterproof rubber gasket (5) into the waterproof endcap (4),
and secure the lock nut (6) with the waterproof endcap (4).
6. Align the snap on the waterproof endcap (4) with the notch on the
camera’s network interface socket (1), and then secure the waterproof
endcap (4) to the camera’s network interface socket (1) to nish the
installation.

Setting the Network Camera over a LAN
1. Connect the camera to a PC using an Ethernet cable either directly or
through a switch or router.
2. Ensure power is supplied to both the recorder and the camera.
3. In a web browser, navigate to the camera’s IP address.
The default IP address is 192.168.1.64.
Enter the username and password:
Username: admin
Password: SV123456
4. Install any plug-ins you are prompted to install.
5. The browser may be required to restart, requiring you to login again.
Modifying the IP Address
To view and congure the camera via LAN (Local Area Network), you need to
connect the network camera in the same subnet with your PC. Then, install
the SADP software or client software to search and change the IP of network
camera. We will take modifying the IP Address via SADP software as an ex-
ample to introduce the IP address modication. Connect the camera to a PC
using an Ethernet cable either directly or through a switch or router.
1. Run the SADP software.
2. Select an activate device.
Note: Please refer to Section 3.2 to activate the camera if the camera is
inactive.
3. Change the device IP address to the
same subnet with your computer by either
modifying the IP address manually or
checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP.
4. Input the password to activate your IP
address modication. The batch IP address
modication is supported by the SADP. Please
refer to the User Manual of SADP for details.

Setting the Network Camera over a LAN
1. Connect the camera to a PC using an Ethernet cable either directly or
through a switch or router.
2. Ensure power is supplied to both the recorder and the camera.
3. In a web browser, navigate to the camera’s IP address.
The default IP address is 192.168.1.64.
Enter the username and password:
Username: admin
Password: SV123456
4. Install any plug-ins you are prompted to install.
5. The browser may be required to restart, requiring you to login again.

Accessing via Web Browser
System Requirement:

Web Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 and above version, Apple Safari 5.0.2 and
above version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 and above version and Google Chrome 18
and above version
1. Congure your PC’s network settings to communicate with the camera.
2. In an internet broswer, navigate to 192.168.1.64.
3. Enter the following login credentials:
User name: admin
Password: SV123456
Note: The login is locked after 7 failed login attempts.
4. Install any plug-ins that you may be prompted to install. You may have
to log back into the camera after installation.
Note: You may have to close the web browser to nish the plug-in
installation.
5. Reopen the web browser after the installation of the plug-in and repeat
steps 2 to 4 to login.
