The Ramos Alarm Clock comes fully packed with features. A remote alarm
system to make sure you get started. A customizable snooze lets you wake up
at your pace. Enable lockdown mode if you're prone to changing the alarm
overnight. Turn on courtesy mode to keep things quiet. Do it al l with Ramos.
Features
Ramos Mode
Ramos mode enables the Defuse Panel. Once the
alarm begins to ring, the only way to turn it off is by
entering the defuse code into the panel.
Snooze Settings
To snooze, press the snooze button. In the menu, you
can set the number of snoozes allowed [0-1 0] before
the Defuse panel is enabled. You can also set the
period in minutes [5-60] that Ramos will snooze for.
Courtesy Mode
Courtesy mode keeps the Ramos from waking the
whole house. The alarm will ring for [5-60] seconds
before going quiet for 1 minute, allowing you time to
defuse Ramos.
Lockdown Mode
Lockdown mode prevents any last minute changes to
the alarm settings. Once you turn your alarm on, it will
need be defused before the setting can be changed.

Turning on your Ramos
The power switch is located under the clock to prevent easy access in the
mornings. To use the switch, you'll need the switch tool from the Defuse Panel.
Simply poke the tool into the opening until the switch clicks on or off.

Setting the time and the alarm
Using your Ramos
Push and hold the toggle switch up or down to set the time or alarm. A green
backlight indicates PM time. Spin the wheel to change the time, and press it to
switch between hours and minutes. Once you're done, release the switch to set.
The Ramos Alarm is designed to get you out of bed in the morning. Once it
starts ringing, the only way to turn off the alarm is by entering the defuse code
into the Defuse Panel. Here's how it works.

Settings Menu
To access the menu, press and hold the wheel for 5 seconds, release, then
choose your menu option by spinning the wheel. Press the wheel to enter the
menu option. Once you've changed your option, press it again to return to the
main menu. To leave the menu, flick the toggle switch in either direction.

Wake the defuse panel by pressing any button, then press#. The light will blink
green if the panel is in range. If it bli nks red, move the panel closer to Ramos.
Range check
The defuse panel should be placed where you want to get your day started,
whether its the kitchen to make coffee or the bathroom to wake up. It's easier to
stay out of bed if you're close to your morning routine.
Defuse panel placement
The defuse panel uses two AAA batteries. If the panel shows a red light when
woken, the batteries need to be replaced.
Batteries
The Ramos is constructed from wood sealed with shellac, then coated with a
lacquer clear coat for a maintenance free finish. Avoid damaging the finish by
keeping your Ramos away from sharp objects and liquids.
Care
The Nixie Ramos uses 4 original Soviet-era nixie tubes. In the case that you have
to replace a tube, follow this procedure:
1. Unplug the Nixie Ramos while it is still on. Wait 6 hours for the battery to fully
drain. If you don’t do this, you risk blowing the internal safety fuse and
rendering your Nixie Ramos useless.
2. Wiggle (gently) out the used nixie tube.
3. Wiggle (gently) in the new one. Do not force the tube.
Nixie tubes contain mercury. Wear gloves when doing this and dispose
of the old tube in accordance to your local laws. Keep children away from this
product. In the case of a shattered tube, wear gloves, then unplug the unit and
turn it off using the switch rod. Carefully collect all the broken glass.
Do not attempt to replace a shattered tube.
Nixie tubes

The Nixie Ramos also uses two orignal neon bulbs as a colon seperators. When
you first use it, the neon bulbs will flicker. This is normal. After 1-2 weeks of use,
the bulbs will age and maintain a steady glow.
Troubleshooting
If your keypad isn’t communicating with your Nixie Ramos, it most likely means
that it is not paired correctly. Follow these steps to pair it:
1. On the clock, hold the knob button for 5 seconds to go into the menu.
2. Get the keypad and press only one button on it to turn it on. Once you
see the blue light, it is on.
3. Bring the keypad within a couple of feet of the clock. Press Star, 9 , 3 , 8.
You should see a green light meaning the keypad is paired.
4. Press the range button and see if it goes green. Test it with an alarm and
you should now have a paired and working keypad!

Warranty
Sammut Tech LLC manufactures its products to very high standards and we are
confident our products will perform well. Accordingly, we warranty our products
against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship to the original
owner, for a period of one year from the original date of purchase. In the case of
pre-order purchase the warranty will be one year from the date received. This
warranty does not extend to damage caused by improper installation, faulty
ancillary equipment, modifications, unauthorized repair, shipping damage or
loss, abuse, accidents, use on improper voltage/current, lightning or other acts
of God, normal wear and tear, commercial use, or purchase from unauthorized
dealers. Proof of purchase as evidence the unit was purchased from an
authorized dealer within the warranty period may be required for warranty
service. This warranty is non-transferable. Sammut Tech LLC wi ll not pay for loss
of t ime, inconvenience, loss of use of the product, or damages caused by this
product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have
other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations
on implied warranties or the exclusion of consequentia l damages, therefore,
these restrictions may not apply to you.
