OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS EN
Before operating this unit, please read this manual thoroughly.
WARNING
To reduce fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. Use the
frame with the supplied power supply only.
Attention
The electromagnetic fields at the specific frequencies may influence the picture of
this digital photo frame.
Notice
If static electricity or electromagnetism causes data transfer to discontinue midway
(fail), restart the application or disconnect and connect the communication cable
(USB, etc) again.
Disposal of Old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (Applicable in the European
Union and other European countries with separate
collection systems). This symbol on the product or on
its packaging indicates that this product shall not be
treated as household waste. Instead it shall be
handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By
ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will
help prevent potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health, which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling
of this product.

malfunction of the digital photo frame or memory card.
Backup recommendations
To avoid potential risk of data loss caused by accidental operation or malfunction
of the digital photo frame, we recommend that you save a backup copy of your
data.
Notes on touch screen
• Do not press against the LCD screen. The screen may be discolored and that
may cause a malfunction.
• Exposing the LCD screen to direct sunlight for a long period may cause
malfunctions.
• The LCD screen is manufactured using extremely high-precision technology, so
over 99.99% of the pixels are operational for effective use. However, there may
be some tiny black points and/or bright points (white, red, blue or green in color)
that constantly appear on the LCD screen. These points are normal in the
manufacturing process and do not affect the viewing in any way.
• Images may trail across on the LCD screen in a cold location. This is not a
malfunction.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SAMOTECH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON TORT,
CONTACT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH

GETTING STARTED EN
CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of a SAMOTECH Digital Photo Frame.
Please read carefully and follow all instructions in the manual and those marked
on the product before first use. Failing to follow these warnings could result in
personal injury or damage to the device. Also, remember to keep this User’s
Manual in a convenient location for future reference.
Important: Save the original box and all packing material for future shipping
needs.
Setting up your photo frame for the first time
Photo frame position
The photo frame can be installed in either landscape or portrait mode
1. Choose your preferred mode and insert the stand into one of the holes.
Turn the stand clockwise to lock in a position.

2. Insert the plug of the AC power supply into the DC IN 5V jack on the rear of
the photo frame
3. Connect the AC power supply to the wall socket. Press and hold the Power
button for 2-3 seconds for the frame to power up. Now your frame is ready to
be set up.

Frameo App - Photo Frame Quick Setup
When starting your frame for the first time, you will need to setup the frame.
● Select a language. This will be the language used on the frameo.
● Connect your frame to the internet by connecting it to a Wi-Fi.
● Frameo may ask you to update to the latest version. It is recommended
to update your frame before continuing if asked to.
● Enter your name, and the location where you have placed your frame
e.g. “John Doe” and “Living room”, “Kitchen” or “Office”.
Finally set the timezone if not already correct.

Start using frameo on your phone or tablet
Frameo App
To send photos to your frame, download and install the frameo app from Google
Play or App Store by searching for “frameo” or scanning the relevant QR code
displayed on the packaging box.
Next step is to connect frameo with your friends and family by providing
them with a code from your frame.
Connecting a new friend
● Make sure that your friend has downloaded and installed the frameo app.
● Click the add friend icon on your frame . A dialog will appear
showing a connection code, which is valid for 12 hours.
● Now share this code in whatever fashion you prefer e.g. SMS, E-Mail,
IM, phone call, to your friend.
● Once your friends have added the code in their frameo app, they will
automatically appear on your frame and be able to send you photos.

Navigating your frameo app
Swipe left or right to go through your photos.
To access the menu, simply tap once on the screen.
In the menu you will find the
most used features.
Add friend
This will generate a code that you
can share with your friends and
family so they can connect and
send photos to your frame.
Gallery
Gallery allows for easy and fast navigation through your photos.
Settings
General Settings
Hide photo
Allows you to choose any photos you want to exclude from the slideshow
Fit to frame/Fill frame
Change how the photo is shown on the screen.
Fit to frame is set by default. The photo is scaled so that it fills the whole
screen. It is centered around what is selected as the most important part.
The Fill frame option will make sure that the entire photo is shown on the
screen.
Adjust photo feature is only available when the photo is set to fill frame.
It allows you to adjust the position of photo in the frame for a better fit.

Settings
Through the settings, you can personalize your frame to your needs.
My frame
Frame name
Changes the name of your frame. This is also the name the connected friends
and family will see in their list of connected frames in the smartphone app.
Frame location
Changes the location of your frame. This is the location displayed on your friends'
and family's list of connected frames which can help to distinguish frames from
each other.
Set language
Sets the language used on the frame.
Set time zone
Sets the time zone used on the frame.
Enable/Disable 24-hour format
Enables, and disables, 24-hour time format.
Sleep mode
Frameo offers a sleep mode which turns off the screen to reduce power
consumption. The default setting is to turn off the screen at 23:00 and turn on the
screen again at 07:00. To change this just set the sleep mode start/end time.
Your frame is not powered down, so you will still be able to receive photos during
the sleep mode period.
Manage photos
In the manage photos menu you can see how many photos are on your frame
and the storage they use. You can also see the amount of storage left available
on your device for storing new photos.

Show/hide photos
Select which photos to hide by tapping them. Hidden photos will NOT be deleted
from your frame and you can always select them to be shown again.
Use to hide or show all photos.
Delete photos
Select photos you want to permanently delete from your frame by tapping the
photo.
Use to select or deselect all and to permanently delete the selected
photos.
Import photos
Allows you to import photos from an external storage (e.g. microSD card or
USB). Before you try to import photos, make sure you have an external storage
inserted into your frame with the photos you wish to import. Start by selecting the
photos that you want to import onto your frame. Once selected tap the import
button to start the import process. Use to select or deselect all photos
on the external storage. It is currently not possible to add a caption or define the
most important part of the photo when using the import function. An alternative
for this is to add yourself to your friend list and send the photos using the app.
My Friends
This list contains all the connected friends who allowed to send photos to your
frame.
Change options for a friend
Click the options icon to open the friend options menu. From here you can
allow or disallow if a friend may share the code to the frame. If this is enabled
the friend can retrieve and share the code to the frame from his/her app. From
the options menu you can also delete a friend, by pressing the DELETE FRIEND
button. This will remove the friend from the list and thereby remove their
permission to send photos to the frame. You will then be asked to confirm the
removal and if you would like to remove all photos previously received from this
friend.

Add person
To allow a new person to send you photos, simply tap the add friend button
and share the presented code in whatever way you prefer.
Display and slideshow
Photo display order
Sets the order in which your photos are displayed on the frame.
● By date: Photos are shown newest to latest.
● Shuffle: Photos are shuffled and shown in a random order.
Timer
Set the duration that a photo should be displayed before showing the next photo.
Show caption
Sets whether or not to display the captions that your friends have sent with the
photo. Check to display captions. Uncheck to hide captions.
Brightness level
Adjust the brightness level of the screen.
Notification volume
Adjust the volume level for notification sounds on the frames, e.g. for received new
photo notification.

Wi-Fi
Set which Wi-Fi the frame connects to. If you are connecting to a network with a
captive portal a web browser icon should appear in top right corner of the screen.
Use this to open a browser where you can enter credentials to access the network.
Backup and Restore
Backup frame to external storage (e.g. microSD card). Tap to make a backup of
your photos, friends and settings. Time of the latest successful backup will be
displayed here. Any existing backup on the external storage will be overridden!
Automatic backup
If checked, your frame will automatically take a backup within 30 hours of
receiving new photos or making changes to your frame.
Restore from backup
Before you attempt to restore your frame, start by confirming that your backup is
up-to-date. This is done by confirming the date under “Backup frame to external
storage (e.g. microSD card)”. If e.g. the last backup is to old or if no backup is
made, then press the “Backup frame to external storage (e.g. microSD card)”
button to make a new backup. It is important to note that you cannot restore a
backup to a new frame and keep the old frame operational at the same time. If
you wish to restore a backup on to a frame that has already been setup, then you
must first reset the frame. This is done by pressing the “Reset frame” button. This
will delete all data and reset the frame to the initial setup screen. On the setup
screen you can select the “Restore from backup” button which will restore your
frame according to the backup. If the “Restore from backup” button isn’t visible,
then confirm that the external storage (e.g.microSD card) is correctly mounted.
Reset frame
Removes all data from your frame.
This will permanently remove all your photos, friends/connections and settings.
About
Check for update
Check if an update is available for your frame.

Hinweise zum LCD-Display
• Setzen Sie das LCD-Display keinem Druck aus. Der Bildschirm könnte sich
verfärben, was zu einer Funktionsstörung führen könnte.
• Wird das LCD-Display längere Zeit direkter Sonnenbestrahlung ausgesetzt, kann
es zu Funktionsstörungen kommen.
• Da das LCD-Display unter Einsatz von extrem genauer Präzisionstechnologie
hergestellt wird, sind über 99,99 % der Pixel funktionsfähig. Trotzdem kann es
vorkommen, dass einige winzige schwarze und/oder helle Punkte (weiße, rote,
blaue oder grüne) ständig auf dem LCD-Display sichtbar sind. Diese Punkte gehen
auf das Herstellungsverfahren zurück und beeinträchtigen das Anzeigeergebnis in
keiner Weise.
• Bei niedrigen Temperaturen kann ein Nachzieheffekt auf dem LCD-Display
auftreten. Dies ist keine Funktionsstörung.

ERSTE SHRITTE DE
VielenDank für den Kauf Ihres eigenen Frameo. Folgen Sie den Anleitungen auf
emBildschirm,wenn Sie das Gerät zumersten Mal einschalten. Nach demSetup
Ihres Frameo können Sie die Kontaktaufnahme mit Freunden und Familie starten.
Frameo-App
Verwenden Sie die Frameo-App für iOS oder Android,umBilder an Ihren
Bilderrahmen zusenden. Die Frameo-App finden Siewi e folgt:

Schnellanleitung für die Frameo-App
Wenn Sie Ihr Gerät das ersteMal einschalten, müssen Sie den Bilderrahmen
einrichten.
•Wählen Sie zunächst Ihre Sprache aus.Diese Sprache wird dann für alle
Anzeigen am Frameo übernommen.
•Verbinden Sie Ihren Bilderrahmen via WLAN mit dem Internet.
Falls eine neuereversi on der frameo-softwareverfügbar ist, dann erscheint auf
dem bildschirm eine entsprechende mitteilung. wir empfehlen, den bilderrahmen
nac herhalt solchei ner mitteilung umgehend zu aktualisieren.
•Geben Sie IhrenNamen und den Standort ein, z.B. „Wohnzimmer“, „Küche“
oder „Büro“.

Verwendung
Sie können mit Freunden und Familienmitgliedern Kontakt aufnehmen, indem Sie
ihnen von Ihrem Bilderrahmen aus einen speziellenCode schicken.
Falls Sie selbst Bilder an Ihren Bilderrahmen senden möchten, laden Sie im App
Store bzw. Im Google Play Store die App f ür iOS bzw. Android herunter.
Verwenden Sie dann denCode, umden Bilderrahmen und die App wie nachfolgend
erläutert zu verbinden.
Verbindung mit einem neuen Freund:
•Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Freund die Frameo-App heruntergeladen und
installiert hat.
•Klicken Sie an Ihrem Bilderrahmen auf das Freund-Icon . Es erscheint ein
Dialogfenster mit einem Code, der 24 Stunden lang gültig ist.
•Senden Sie diesen Code (via SMS, E-Mail, IM, Anruf, usw.) an Ihren Freund.
Navigation
Das Gerät verfügt über ein interaktives Touchscreen.
Wischen Sie mit Ihrem Finger von links nach rechts über den Bildschirm, um durch
Ihre Fotos zu scrollen.
Öffnen Sie die Menüleiste, indem Sie einmal auf den Bildschirm tippen; das Menü
wird dann geöffnet.
In der Menüleiste finden Sie die Option zum Hinzufügen von Freunden sowie
das Einstellungsmenü

Einstellungen
Über die Einstellungen können Sie Ihren Bilderrahmen ganz nach Ihren
Anforderungen konfigurieren.
Mein Bilderrahmen
Name des Geräts:
Der Name Ihres Geräts wird entsprechend geändert. Dies ist auch der Name, der
an den Geräten Ihrer verbundenen Freunde und Familienmitglieder angezeigt
wird.
Standort:
Der Standort des Geräts wird geändert. Dieser Standort wird in der Liste der
verbundenen Geräte Ihrer Freunde und Familienmitglieder angezeigt und hilft
somit, das Gerät von anderen Bilderrahmen zu unterscheiden.
Sprache einstellen:
Wählen Sie die Sprache für die Anzeige an Ihrem Bildschirm.
Sleep-Modus:
Der Frameo verfügt über einen Sleep-Modus, der den Bildschirm ausschaltet, um
Strom zu sparen, z.B. wenn Sie schlafen. Per Standardeinstellung wird der
Bidschirm abends um 23 Uhr ausgeschaltet und morgens um 7 Uhr wieder
eingeschaltet.
Sie können diese Uhrzeiten durch Einstellung der Start-/Endzeit ändern.
Ihr bilderrahmen ist nicht ausgeschaltet oder im standby-modus; sie können im
sleep-modus also weiterhin fotos empfangen.

Fotos verwalten
Fotos anzeigen/ausblenden:
Wählen Sie aus, welche Fotos Sie anzeigen/ausblenden möchten, indem Sie die
jeweiligen Fotos antippen. Ausgeblendete Fotos werden NICHT gelöscht; Sie
können diese später wieder für die Anzeige auswählen.
Verwenden Sie , um alle Fotos auszuwählen oder abzuwählen.
Fotos löschen:
Wählen Sie Fotos, die Sie für immer löschen möchten, durch Antippen aus.
Verwenden Sie , um alle Fotos auszuwählen oder abzuwählen, sowie , um
die ausgewählten Fotos zu löschen.
Fotos importieren:
Sie können Fotos von einer externen SD-Karte und USB importieren.
Bevor sie fotos von einer sd-karte importieren können, vergewissern sie sich, dass
sie eine sdkarte mit bildern angeschlossen haben.
Wählen Sie zunächst die Bilder aus, die Sie importieren möchten.
Tippen Sie nach der Auswahl auf die Taste , um den Importvorgang zu starten.
Während des imports ist es nicht möglich, untertitel hinzuzufügen oder den
wichtigsten teil des fotos hervorzuheben. alternativ dazu können sie sich selbst als
freund hinzufügen und fotos mit der app senden.
Meine Freunde
Diese Liste enthält alle Personen, die Fotos an Ihren Bilderrahmen senden dürfen.
Person entfernen
Um eine Person aus der Liste zu entfernen und damit einhergehend all ihre Fotos
zu löschen,
tippen Sie auf das Löschen-Icon . Sie werden dann aufgefordert, die Löschung
aller von dieser Person erhaltenen Fotos zu bestätigen.

Person hinzufügen
Um einer neuen Person zu erlauben, Ihnen Fotos zu senden, tippen Sie einfach
auf die Taste Freund hinzufügen . Senden Sie dann den Code auf die
bevorzugte Art und Weise an diese Person.
Anzeige und Diashow
Timer
Legen Sie fest, wie lange ein Foto angezeigt werden soll.
Untertitel anzeigen
Sie können festlegen, ob die von Ihren Freunden hinzugefügten Untertitel
angezeigt werden sollen oder nicht Ankreuzen, um Untertitel anzuzeigen.
Abwählen, um Untertitel auszublenden.
Helligkeit
Stellen Sie die Helligkeit des Bildschirms ein.
Wi-Fi
Wählen Sie aus, mit welchem Wi-Fi-Netzwerk das Gerät verbunden werden soll.
Backup und Wiederherstellung
Sichern Sie die Daten des Bilderrahmens auf einer SD-Karte. Antippen, um alle
Fotos, Freunde und Einstellungen zu sichern. Es wird die Zeit des letzten
erfolgreichen Backups angezeigt.
Ein bereits vorhandener backup auf der sd-karte wird überschrieben.
