SM-S36 Stereo Headset Overview
Charging Your Headset
The Bluetooth headset comes with a built-in rechargeable battery, prior to
using the headset, its recommendable to charger the battery fully for the
first time, normal fully charge time within 3 hours .connect the charger to
an AC wall outlet and the charge plug to headset’s DC socket. The LED
will red while charging.
IMPORTANT
Charging indicator will be delayed for a few minutes if the headset has
not been used for a long time or the battery is drained.

Normal Charging Time
Charging the battery fully is normally within 3 hours, when the battery is
fully charged the LED will be turn blue.
Talk And Standby Time
The fully charged battery offers up to 6 hours talk time, this could be
varied because of the power consumption of different phones ,and up to
120 hours
Low Battery
When the headset is on and the battery become low, the LED flashes red
and the headset emits a beep every 2 minute ,please recharge the battery
as described above.
Turning On/Off The Headset
Turning on the headset :headset under off mode. Press and hold the
answer/end key for 2 seconds until you hear a short beep. The LED will
flash blue.
Turning off: headset under standby mode, press and hold the answer/end
key for 3 seconds until you hear a long beep ,the LED will flash red,
headset will be off ,the LED will flash stops.

Pairing
Prior to using the headset for the first time. you must pair it with a
Bluetooth-enabled mobile handset.
The following steps describes pairing introduction for a typical Bluetooth
-enabled mobile handset.
1: place the headset and mobile handset no more than 1 meter.
2: Ensure the headset is off.
3: Press and hold the answer/end key for 8 seconds until the headset LED
alternately flashes red and blue. Its now ready for pairing .
4: Activate your mobile handset’s Bluetooth function by referring to your
mobile handset user guide for details, mean while ,the handset will search
for accessible Bluetooth devices
5: Select “SM-S36” from the list.
6: Enter the pre-programmed passkey “0000” and press “ok” to pair the
headset and mobile handset. When pairing the headset is completed, the
headset LED will flash blue every 3 times followed by a long beep.
7: Press “return” to go back to your handset’s main menu. For certain
mobile handset models ,a headset icon will be show on the screen .you
should now be able to make and receive calls using your headset.
IMPORTANT: If the pairing can’t be completed within 2 minutes while
the paring mode is activated the headset LED flashed purple red within 3
beeps and the headset is turned off . please repeat steps 2 to 7 to pair the

headset and the mobile handset again.
Using Your Headset
Once paring is completed ,you may access the following functions, some
of the below-mentioned functions are only accessible for handsets
supported with hand-free profile.
Answering A Call
When there is a call, you will hear ringing through the earphone ,press the
answer/end key accept the call or answer the call via your mobile handset
in the normal way.
Answering a call when listening music
Press the answer/end key to answer the call and when finished ,press the
answer/end key once to resume music.
If the other party you are speaking to end the call, music will
automatically resume without having to press the answer/end key
IMPORTANT
To receive music from your mobile handset or PDA ,please make sure
they support the Bluetooth A2DP profile.
Ending a call
Press the answer/end key to end your call or end the call via your mobile
handset in the normal way.
Rejecting a call

Press an incoming call during ringing of the headset, press and hold the
headset, press and hold the volume key for 2 seconds until you hear 2
beep.
Dialling from your mobile handset
Simply make calls from your mobile in the normal way.
Voice dialing from your headset
If your mobile is equipped with a voice dialling function ,simply press the
answer/end key on you headset and when you hear a beep say the voice
tag.
IMPORTANT: please make sure to record voice tag into the mobile
handset first before using voice dialling function ,this function is only
applicable to mobile handset with Bluetooth hands-free
profile ,functionally varies depending on the mobile handset models you
have. Please refer to you mobile handset user guide for additional
information .
Last number redialling from your headset
Press the answer/end key on your headset for a while. Samsung mobile
handset needs twice.
Listening music from your PC

By connecting your headset to your PC through the USB Dongle , you
can listen to music from your PC .

Adjusting the volume
Press the volume key repeatedly until you reach the desired volume level.
Previous music
Press the “+_” volume key for 2 seconds.
The next music
Press the “-”volume key for 2 seconds.
Previous music
Press the “ ”key for seconds, it will skip to the previous music.
Next music
Press the “” fos seconds to play the next music.
Care and maintenance
1:consider turning your headset off before placing it in your pocket or bag.
If the answer/end key is accidentally depressed ,your mobile handset may
place an unintended call.
2.Do not expose the headset to liquid ,moisture or humidity as it is not
waterproof.
3. Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the headset.

4.Do not expose the headset to extremely high or low temperatures.
5.Do not dispose of the headset in a fire as it will result in explosion.
6. Do not expose the headset to contact with sharp objects as this will
cause scratches and damage.
7.Do not stick anything inside the headset as it does not contain
serviceable components.
If you do not use the headset for long periods ,be sure to store it in a dry
place .free from extreme temperatures humidity and dust.
Charging .
1. Only use the manufacturer supplied charger when charging the headset
2. Do not disassemble the charger as it may expose you to dangerous
voltages of other risks. Incorrect reassembly used.
3. Do not use the charger outdoors or in damp areas.
4. Only charge the headset’s built-in battery accordance with the
instructions of this user guide.
5. Avoid charging the headset in extremely high and low temperatures
Safety information
1. Check local lows regarding use of a mobile handset and headset while
driving .if you use the headset while driving ,ensure your attention and
focus remains on the road and you drive in a responsible and safe

manner
2. Never allow children to play with the headset-small parts maybe a
choking hazard.
3. Observe all signs that require an electrical devices or RF radio
products to be switched off in designated areas. These could include
hospitals ,blasting areas and potentially explosive atmospheres .
4. Turn off you headset prior to boarding an aircraft . do not use your
headset in an aircraft.
5. Never mount or store your headset over any air bag deployment area
as serious injury may result when an air bag deploys
6. Do not open or mutilate the built-in battery.
7. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations ,do not dispose as
household waste.
Trouble shooting
If you are unable to connect your headset and mobile handset please try
the following:
1. Ensure the headset is turned off and is properly charged .
2. Ensure the headset is paired with you mobile handset .
3. Ensure your mobile handset’s Bluetooth features is activated ,please
refer to your mobile user guide for specific instruction.
4. Ensure the headset is within a 10 meters range of you mobile

handset(s) and there are no obstructions ,such as walls or other
electronic devices in between.
If the above step do not solve your problem, please recharge the headset
and remove you mobile handset battery for a while

Bluetooth –enable products is not guaranteed ,because it depends on
compatibility , for more information on the compatibility between the
device with other Bluetooth-enabled products ,please check with your
