Safetysignalwor ds are used to draw attention to safety
information in the manual and on the table saw. The
signal words, DANG ER , WARNING or CAUTION, tell
the level of risk.

BEFORE USING THE SAW:
WARNING: To avoid mistakes that could cause
serious, permanent injury, do notplug the saw
in
until the following steps have been satisfactorily
completed.
• Completely assemble and align saw (See pages 12-38)
• Learn th e use and function of the ON- OFF- switch,
guard,spreade
r, anti-kickbackdevice, mitre gauge,
table insertand blade elevation and bevel controls.

WHEN INSTALLING OR MOVING THE SAW:
Avoid dangerous environment.
• Use the saw in a dry, indoor place protected from
rain.
• Keep work area well lighted.
To avoid injury from unexpected saw movement:
• Bolt or clamp thesaw on a firm levelsurface where
there is plenty of room to handle and properly
support the workpiece.
• Support the saw so the table is level and the saw
does not rock, or slide.
• When using a table extension on any side of the

saw, bolt the saw to a stationary surface or prop up
theouterendoftheextension from thefloororbench
top to keep the saw from tippi
ng.
• Put the saw where neither operators or bystande rs
must stand in li ne with the saw blade.
• GROUNDTHE SAW- Modei113-274600C has an
approved 3-conductor cord and a 3-prong ground-
ing type plug. The plug fits grounding type ou tlets
designed for 120 volt 15 amp circuits. The green
conductor
in thecord is theg ro unding wire. Toavoid
electrocution, never connect the green
wi re to a live
terminal.
• The saw
is shipped factory wired for 120Voperatio n.
To change the motor to 240V see owners manual for
correct procedure.
• To avo id injury from electrical shock, make sure
your fingers do not touch the plug's metal prongs
when plugging in or unplugging the saw.
• Never stand on tool. Serious injury could occur if
the to ol tips or you accidental ly hit the cutting too l.
Do not store anything above or near the tool where
anyone might stand
on the tool to reach them.
BEFORE EACH USE:
Inspect your saw.
• To avoid injury from accidental starti ng, turn switch off ,
unp lug the sawand remove the swi tch key before raising
or removing the guard,changing the cutting tool, chang -
ing the setup oradjusting anyth ing.
• Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any
other conditions that may affect the way it works.
• If any part is missing, bent, or broken in any way, or
anyelectrical partsdon'tworkproperly, turnthe saw
off and unplug the saw.
• Replace damaged, missing, or fa il ed parts before
usi
ng the saw again.
• Use the sawblade guard, spreader, an d anti-kick-
backpawlsforanythru-sawing (wheneverthe
bl ade
comesthroughthetop of the workpiece). Makesure
thespreaderisin linewiththesawbladeand theant i-
kickback pawls work properly.
• Remove adjusting keys and wrenches.
Form habit of checking for
an d removing keys and
adjusting wrenches fr om tool before turning it on.
' Ma k€ sure all clamps and locks are tight and no
parts
ha ve excessive play.

To avoid injury from jams, slips or thrown pieces
(kickback and throwback):
Use only recommended accessories.
• Follow the instructions that come with the accesso-
ries.
Th e use of improper accessories may cause
risk of injury to persons.
• Choose the right bfade or cutting accessory for the
material and the type of cutting you plan to do.
• Neveruse grinding wheels,abrasive cut-offwheels,
friction wheels (metal slitting blades) wire wheels or
buffingwheel. They can fly apart explosively.
Choose and inspect your cutting tool carefully.
• To avoid cutting tool fai lu re and thrown shrapnel
(broken pieces of blade), use only 1
0" or smaller
blades or other cutting tools marked for speed of
3450 rpm or higher.
• Always use unbroken, balanced bladesdesigned to
fit this saw's 5/8" arbor.
• When thru-sawing, (making cuts where the blade
comes through the workpiece top) always use a
10
inch diameter blade. This keeps the spreader in
closest to the blade.
• Do notovertighten arbornut. Usearborwrenchesto
"snug" it securely.
• Use only sharp blades with properly setteeth. Con-
sult a professional blade sharpenerwhen in doubt.
• Keep blades clean of gum and resin.
• Adjust table inserts flush with the table top. Never
use the saw without the proper insert.
• Make sure all clamps and locks are tight and no
parts have any excessive play.
Inspect your w ork area.
• Keep work area clean.
• Cluttered areas and benches inviteaccidents. Floor
must not
be slippery from wax or sawdust.
• To avoid burns or other fi re damage, never use the
saw near flammable
li quids, vapors or gases.
• To avoid inju ry, don't do layout, assembly, or setup
workon the tablewhile the bladeis spinning.
It could

Plan
your work .
• Plan ahead to protect your eyes, hands, face and
ears.
• Use the right tool- Don't force tool or attachment to
do a job
it was not designed for.
Dress
for safety:
• Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties or
jewelry (rings, wrist watches). They can get caught
and draw you into moving parts.
• Wearnonslip footwear.
• Tie back long hair.
• Roll !ong sleeves above the elbow.
• Noise levels vary widely. To avoid possible hearing
damage, wearearplugs ormuffswhen using sawfor
long periods of time.
• Any power saw can throw foreign objects into the
eyes. Thiscan cause permanent eye damage. Wear
safety goggles (not
glasses) that comply with CSA
Z94-3-M88 (shown on package). Everyday eye-
glasses have only impact resistant lenses. Theyare
not safety glasses. Safety goggles are av
ai lable at

in compliance with CSA Z94-3-M88 could seriously
hurt you when they break.
WEAR YOU R
• For dusty operations, wear a dust mask along with
the safety goggles.
Inspect your workpiece.
• Make surethere are no nails or foreign objects in the
part of the workpiece to be cut.
• When cutting irregularly shaped workpieces, pl an
your work so it wi ll not slip and pinch the blade.
• A piece of molding, for example, must lie flat or be
held by a fixture or j ig that will not let it twist, rock or
slipwhile being cut. Usejigs, fixtures where needed
to prevent workpiece shifting.
• Useadifferent, bettersuitedtypeoftool forworkthat
can't be made stable.
Plan
your cut .
• Plan your cut to avoid kickbacks and throwbacks -
whena
pa rtorall oftheworkpiecebindsonthe blade
and
is thrown violently back toward the front of the
saw:

fence, mitre gauge or fixture to position and
guide the wor
k, so it won't twist, bind on the
blade and kickback.
Make sure there's no deb
ri s between the
workpiece and its supports.
• Use extra caution with large, very small or awkward
workpieces.
• Useextrasupports (tables, sawhorses, blocks, etc.)
foranyworkpieces largeenough to tipwhen not h
el d
down to the table top. Never use another person as
a substitute for a table extension, or as additional
support for a workpiece that is longer or wider than
thebasicsawtable,
or tohelpfeed,supportorpullthe
workpiece.
• Never confine the piece being cut off. That is, the
piece not against the fence, mitre gauge
or fixture.
Never hold it, clamp it, touch it,
or use length stops
aga
in st it.It must be freeto move. Ifconfined, itcould
getwedged against the blade and cause a k
ic kback
or throwback.
• Ne ver cut more than one workpiece at a time.
• Ne ver turn your table saw "ON" before cl earing
everything exceptthe workpiece and related support
devices off the table.

Plan the way you will push the workpiece through.
• NEVER pull the workpiece through. Start and
finish the
cut from the front of the table saw.
• NEVER put your fingers or hands in the path of
the sawblade
or other cutting tool.
• NEVER reach in back ofthe cutting tool with either
handto holddownorsupporttheworkpiece, remove
wood scraps, or for any other reason.
• Avoid hand positions where a sudden slip could
cause fingers
or hand to move into a sawblade or
other cutting tool.
• Don't overreach. Always keep good footing and
balance.
.. Pushtheworkpieceagainsttherotation of theblade.
Neverfeed materialintothecuttingtoolfromthe rear
of the saw.
• Always push the workpiece all the way past the
sawblade.
• As much as possible, keep your face and body to
one side of the sawblade, out of line with a possible
kickback
or throwback.
• Set the cutting tool as l ow as possible for the cut
you're planning.
• Neverturnthe saw"ON" beforeclearing the table of
all tools, wood scraps, etc. except the workpiece
and related feed
or support devices for the cut
planned.
Avoid accidental starting
• Make sure switch is "OFF" before plugging saw in.
WHENEVER SAWBLADE IS SPINNING
WARNING:
Don't let familiarity (gained from fre-1
quent use of your table saw) cause a careless
mistake. Always remember that a careless frac-
tion of a second is enough to cause a severe
injury.
• Before actuallycutting with the saw, watch it while it
runs
for a shortwhile. If it makesan unfamiliarnoise
or vibrates a lot, stop immediately. Turn the saw off.
Unplugthesaw.
Do notrestart untilfinding and fixing
the problem.
• Make sure the top of the arbor or cutting tool turns
toward the front of the saw.
Keep children away.
• Keep all visitorsshould be kepta safe distance from
the table saw.
• Make sure bystanders are clear of the saw and
workpiece.
Don't force tool.
• Let the blade reach full speed before cutting.
• It will dothejob betterand safer at its designed rate.
• Feedthe workpiece intothesawonly fast enough to
let the blade
cut without bogging down or binding.
Before freeing any jammed material:
• Turn switch "OFF".
• Unplug the saw.
• Wait for all moving parts to stop.
• Check blade, spreader and fence for proper align-
ment before starting, again.
To avoid throwback of small, cut off pieces:
• Use the guard assembly.

To remove pieces beneath or trapped inside the
guard.
• Turn saw off.
• Remove svvitch key.
• Unplug saw.
• Wait for blade to stop before lifing the guard.
Before leaving the saw.
• Turn saw off.
• Wait for blade to stop spinning.
• Unplug the saw.
• Make workshop childproof. Lock the shop. Discon-
nect master switches. Remove the yellow switch
key. Store it away from children and others not
qualified to use the tool.

Never use the mitre gauge when ripping.
Use a push stick whenever the fence is 2 or more
inches from the blade.
When thru-sawing, usean auxiliary fence and push
blockwheneverthefence must be between 1/2inch
and 2 inches from the blade.
Neverthru-saw
rip cuts narrower than 1/2 inch. (See
"BasicSawOperation UsingThe Rip Fence" section)
Never rip anything shorter than 1
0" long.
When using a push stick or push block the trailing
end of the boa
rd must be square. A push stick or
block against an uneven end could slip off or push
the work away from the fence.
A featherboard can help guide the workpiece. See
"Basic Saw Operations -Using the Rip Fence"
section.)
Always use featherboards for any non-thru rip type
cuts.

Before Starting
• To avoid kickbacks and slips into the blade, ma ke
sure the rip fence is parallel to the sawblade.
• Before thru-sawing, check the antikickback pawls
(See"BasicSawOperations-Using the Rip Fence").
The pawls must stop a kickback once it hasstarted.
Replaceorsharpen antikickbackpawlswhen points
become dull.
• Plastic and composition (like hardboard) materials
may be cut
on your saw. Howeve r, since these are
usually quite hard and slippery, the antik ic kback
pawls maynot stop a kickback.Therefore, be espe-
cially careful in yourset-up and cutting procedures.
While thru-sawing
• To avoid kickbacks and slips into the blade, always
pushforward onthesection oftheworkpiece between
the saw blade and the rip fence. Never push forward
on the piece being cut off.
Anti-Kickback Pawls (AKB)
Device which, when properly ma in tained, isdesigned to
stoptheworkpiece from being kicked back at the opera-
tor during ripping operations.

Cross Cut Type Cuts
• Never use the rip fence when crosscutting.
• An auxiliary wood facing attached to the mitre gauge
can help preventworkpiece twisting and throwbacks.
Attach it to the holes provided. Make the facing long
enough and big enough to support your work. Make
sure, however,
it will not interfere with the sawblade
guard. (S
ee page 40)
Before starting
• Usejigs orfixtures to help hold any p1ece too small to
extend across the full length of the mitre gauge face
during the cu
t. This lets you properly hold the mitre
gauge and workpiece and helps keep your hands
away from the blade.
While cutting
• To avoid blade contact, always hold the mitre gauge
as shown in the "Basic Saw Operations - Using the
Mitre Gauge".
GLOSSARY OF TERMS FOR WOODWORKING
Arbor
The shaft on which a cutting tool is mounted.
Bev el Cut
An angle cutting operation made through theface of the
workpiece.
Compound Cut
A simultaneous bevel and mitre cutting operation.
Crosscut
A cutting orshaping operation made across the width of
the workpiece.
Da do
A non-through cutwhich producesa square sided notch
or trough in the workpiece.
Featherboard
A device which can help guide workpieces during rip
type operations.
Fr ee hand
Performi ng a cut without using a fence, mitre gauge,
fixture, hold down or other proper device to keep the
workpiece from twisting during the cut. Twisting of the
workpiece can cause it to be thrown.
Gum
A sticky, sap based residue from wood products.
Heel
Misalignment of the saw blade such that the blade is not
parallel to the mitre gauge groove.
Ke rf
The amount of material removed by the blade in a
through cut or the slot produced by the blade in a non-
through or partial cut.
Ki ckback
An uncontrolled grabbing and throwing oftheworkpiece
back toward the front of the saw.
Leading End
q-he end of the workpiece which, during a rip type
operation,
is pushed into the cutting tool first.
Mitre Cut
An anglecutting operation madeacross the width of the
workpiece.
Molding
A non-throughcutwhich producesaspecial shape in the

workpiece used for joining or decoration.
Ploughing
Ploughing is grooving with the grain the long way of the
workpiece, using the fence. USE properholddownsand
feed devices.
Push Stick
A device used to feed the workpiece through the saw
during narrowripping typeoperationsand help keepthe
operator's hands well away from the blade.
Push Block
A device used for ripping type operations too narrow to
allow use of a push st ick.
Rabbet
A notch in the edge of a workpiece.
Resin
A sticky, sap base substance that has hardened.
Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
The number of turns completed by a spinning object in
one minute.
Rip Cut
A cutting operation along th e length of the workpiece.
Sawblade Path
The areaoftheworkpieceortabletopdirectlyinlinewith
the part of the workpiece which will be,
or has been, cut
by the blade.
Set
The distancethat the tip ofthesawblade tooth is bent (or
set) outward from the face of the blade.
Throw-Back
Throwing of pieces in a manner similar to a kickback.
Thru-Sawing
Any cutting operation where the blade extends com-
pletely through the thickness of the workpiece.
Trailing End
The workpiece end last cut by the blade in a ripping
operation.
Workpiece
The item on which the cutting operation is being done.
The surfaces of a workpiece are com monly referred to
as faces, ends, and edges.

CHANGING MOTOR VOLT AGE
1. Connections for 120v AC Ope rati on
a. For operation on 120 volts, the black power lead
is connected to spade terminal beside copper
post. The white powerlead is connected to spade
terminal beside silver post. The two moveable
links must be in position shown in Figure 1. The
red motor lead is connected to terminal "B
".

Afterlinks have beencorrectlypositioned,besure
to tighten these screws to insurea good electrical
connection.

2. C onne ct io ns f or 240v AC Operation
a. For operation on 240 volts, the black power lead
is connected to spade terminal beside copper
post. The white powerlead is connected to spade
terminal beside silver post. The two moveable
links must
be in position shown in Figure 2. The
red motor lead is connected to terminal "B
".

240v 15 Amp CSA listed plug (see Fig. B below).

d. Plug your saw into a 240v, 15-Amp, 3-blade
receptacle. (See Fi

having at least a 15-amp capacity and protected
by a 15-amp, time-delay fuse
or circuit breaker.

WARNING: To avoid electrical shock, do not per-
mit fingers to touch the terminals of the plug,
when installing or removing the plug to or from
the outlet.
WARNING: Failure to properly ground this power
tool can cause electrocution or serious shcok,
particularly when used in damp locations, or near
metal plumbing. If shocked, your reaction could
cause your hands to hit the cutting tool.
MOTOR THERMAL OVERLOAD
PROTECTOR
CAUTION: To avoid motor damage, this motor
should be blown out or vacuumed frequently to
prevent sawdust buildup which will interfere with
normal motor ventilation .
Yoursawmaybeequipped with amanual-resetthermal-
overload protector designed to open the power line
circuitwhenthe motortemperatureexceedsasafelevel,
motor is overloaded or a low voltage condition exists.
WARNING: Avoid thrown objects or blade con-
tact from unexpected starting . If the protector
opens the line and stops the saw motor, immedi-
ately turn the saw switch "OFF", remove the key
and allow motor time to cool.
1. After cooling to a safe operating temperature, the
overload protectorcan be closed manuallybypush-
ing the red button on the end of the motor. Ifthe red
button willnotclickintoplace immediately,the motor
is stilltoo hotand must beallowed to cool for a while
longer.
Thetime required forthe motorto cool may be equal
to the length of time the saw was used before the
thermal overload protector opened, to shut off elec-
trical flow. An audibleclick will indicatethe protector
is closed.
2. As soon as the red button will click into running
position, the saw may be started and operated
normally.

3. Frequent "blowing" of fuses or tipping of circuit
breakers may result
if:
a. MOTOR IS OVERLOADED -Overload i ng can
occur if you feed too rapidly
or if saw is mis-
aligned.
b. MOTOR CIRCUIT IS FUSED DI FF EREN TL Y
FROM
RECOMMENDAT I ONS- Always follow
instructions forthe properfuse/breaker. Do not
use a fuse/breaker
of greater capacity without
consulting a qualified electrician.
c. LOW VOLTAGE -Although the motor is de-
signed for operation on the voltage and fre-
quency specified on motor nameplate, normal
loads will be handled
sa f ely on voltages not
more than 10% above or below the nameplate
voltage. Heavy loads, however, require that
voltage at motor terminals equals the voltage
specified on name plate.
4. Most motor troubles may be traced to loose or
incorrect connections,
ov erloading, reduced input
voltage (such as small sizewire in the supplycircuit)
or to overly long supply circuit wire. Always check
the connections, the load and t
he supply circuit
whenevermotor
failsto performsatisfactorily.Check
wire sizes and length with the Wire Size Chart on
page
6.
WIRE SIZES
The use of any extension cord will cause some loss of
power.
To keep this to a minimum and to prevent
overheating and motorburn-out, usethetable shown to
determine the minimum wire size (A.W.G.) extension
cord. Use only 3 wire extension
co rds which have 3-
prong grounding type plugs and 3-pole receptacles
which accept the tools plug.
CAUTION: For circuits that are farther away from
electrical service box , the wire size must be in-
creased proportionately in order to deliver ample
voltage to the saw motor.

ASSEMBLY
Before mounting the saw on legs or a stand ora bench,
theTableInsertand BladeSquarenessmustbechecked
at this time.
INSTALLING HANDWHEELS
1. Slide the elevation handwheel onto its shaft. Line
up the flat spot
on the shaft with the set screw in the
handwheel. Using a hex "L" wrench -tighten the set
screwsecurelyagainsttheflat spotonthe shaft. Repeat
this same procedure to install the tilt handwheel.
CHECKING TABLE INSERT
WARNING: To avoid injury from accidental start,
make sure switch is "OFF" and plug is not con-
nected to power.
1. Insert should be flush with table top. Check as
shown. Loosen flat head screw that holds insert and
adjust the four set screws as necessary. Tighten flat
head screw. Do not tighten screw to the point where it
deflects the insert.
CAUTION: Insert must be even with the table
surface. Inserts too high or low can let the
workpiece "snag" or catch on uneven edges.
Workpiece could twist and kick back.
2. To remove insert.
A. Make sure saw is OFF and unplugged.
B. Loosen Screw.
C. Lift insert from front end, and pull toward front of
saw.
3. To replace insert.
A. Make sure saw is off and unplugged.
B. Place insert into insert opening in table and push
toward rearof sawtoengagespring clip and until keyslot
in insert will drop over screw. Tighten screw.
C. Do not tighten screw to the point where it will
deflect the insert.

INSTALLING BASE SHELF
1. From among the Loose Parts find the following
hardware:

5. Swing the handle upwards, until the smaller rear
hole
in the bracket lines up with the hole in the
handle. Slide the 5/16" pivot pin through from the
outside of the bracket.
6. After both pivot pins are installed, install the Arched
Push Nuts on the pivot pins. Note both Push Nuts
will be onthe innersurface of the bracket. Place the
Push Nuts on the pivot pins. Block the head of the
pivotpinand tapthe PushNutonwith a7/16"socket.
7. Push in thelockbuttons and lowerhandleto ensure
Push Nuts are properly engaged.
8. Tighten nuts at brackets, to front panel.
WARNING: Neveroperate saw when handle is in
theraised position. Handleisf or movingsawonly
and must be in the lowered position before any
operation is perform ed on the saw, of any kind.
INSTALLING FRONT PANEL LEVELLERS
1. From among the Loose Parts, find the following
hardware:
4 Hex Nuts 3/8-16
2 Levelling Feet
2 Leveller Plates
2. Insert leveller plate into bottom corners of front
panel. Ensure that lip on leveller plate faces up. If
plate is too tight for a push fit, tap lightly with a
hammeron the flange of the leveller plate, until the
tabs extend through the slots of the front pane
l.
3. Screw on a hex nut to the levelling foot. Turn down
to within a half inch oftop offoot to provide enough
room to fit
in an open end wrench.
4. Insert foot with nut installed thru underside of level-
ler plate.
5. Add nut to leveller. Screw down to plate. Adjust to
suit floor, when unit is fully assembled, tighten with
two wrenches.

onto the axle with the flat end of a slot screwdriver.
Swivel axleto ensure"E" ring is properlyengaged in
axle groove. (See Fig. 1)
3. Insertaxleend(without"E" Ring)through large hole,
below shelf, on the side of the rear saw base panel.
(See Fig. 1 a)
4. Slidetwo brakebarspringsoveraxleandthen insert
axle through the other side of the rear saw base
panel. (See Fig. 2)
5. Insert other "E" ring into axle groove as in step 2
above,
ma~ing sure the groove is on the outside of
side panel.·
6. Install brake bar plates to inside of shelf at wheel
end of shelf. Install truss head screws though shelf
and then thru brake bar plate. Install lockwasher
and nut. Tighten 4 nuts. (see Fig. 3)
7. Slide brake barthrough brake bar plate forward of
axle. Two holes in bar should be parallel to shelf
and knurled face at both ends should face axle.
Continue to slide brake barthrough each of the two
brake bar springs and the other brake bar plate.
NOTE: Slight tension will be felt. (See Fig.
3)

betweenthe holes in the brakebarand bottom shelf
outer edge.
9. Install two nylon washers over axle.
10. With sawbasesecuresoitwon'tslide, pull thebrake
bar back enough to slide wheel onto axle. Release
brake bar. NOTE: Hub of wheel goes against nylon
washers.
11. Installaxlecapoverendofaxletosecurewheel. Tap
in place with hammer
to ensure cap is tightly en-
gaged.

4. Locate one of the cable sheaths and note that the
fitting on one end isshorterthan the other. Remove
theoutside nut from the shortfitting. Insertitthrough
the holebelowthe handlefromthe insideofthefront
panel. Put the nut removed earlier back on and
tighten
it.
5. Remove the outside nut from the other end of
sheath and feed it down through the 5/8" hole
in
the shelf closest to the front panel.
6. Continue to feed the cable sheath through the shelf
fitting installed earlier and put the nut back on and
tighten.
NOTE: Adjust the cable so that there issome slack
in it.
7. Repeat for other cable assembly.
8. Swing handle up, engaging buttons to keep handle
in horizontal position. Feed cable wire already
installed
in handle through sheath and tug on it at
the other end to ensure fitting is engaged in tubing
handle. (See Fig.
3) Repeat for othercable wire.
9. Install wire through holes in brake bar. Install cable
wire stops on wire until tight against brake bar.
Ensure that set screw faces down. Tighten set
screw.

2-1 /4" spring from cable wire to cable wire, centred
between brake bar and shelf fitting, parallel with
axle. (See Fig. 4)

MOUNTING SAW TO SAW BASE
1. From among the loose parts, find the following
hardware:
*4 Hex Head Screws, 5/16-18 x 1 1/4" long
*4 Hex Nuts, 5/16-18
*4 Lockwasher, 5/16 External Type
*8 Flat Washers, 11/32 x 11/16 x 1 /1 6
*2 Truss Head Screws, 1/4-20 x 5/8"
*2 Lockwasher, 1/4 External
*2 Hex Nut, 1/4-20
Items marked with an asterisk (*) are shown actual size.
NOTE: When saw dust collector adapter plates are
used, ensure that they are installed
in saw
housing before assembly of saw to saw base.
Hex head screw and flat washer pass through
holes in adapter plates first and then through
saw housing and top flange of front/rear saw
panel base. Installflat washer, lockwasher and
hex nut from underside of saw base. Tighten
after all four hex head screws are installed.
WARNING: The saw is heavy. To avoid back
injury, get help to lift the saw. Hold the saw close
toyourbody. Bend yourknees so you can liftwith
your legs, not your back.
2. Place saw on sawbase so that holes in bottom of
saw line up with holes
in top of saw base.
3. Install screws, washers, lockwashers and nuts as
shown. Tighten nuts.

1. Locatethe adapterplates and postition them inside
thesawbaseasillustrated.
Pl acethemountingbolts
through the adapter plates, saw housing an d saw
basecabinet,then securelytightenall nuts. This will
form the mounting frame forthe chute.
2. Look underneath the saw to locate the proper posi-
tion forthechute.Withthedischargeopening facing
the rear of the saw base; slip the front and rear
notches of the chute's right hand side over the
AdapterPlates. Compressthe left hand sideslightly
to alloweasy passage over the left hand side of the
adapter plates; release the side pressure while
positioning the left hand housing notch over the
adapterplatesandthecollectorshould now
be snug
in the base.
3. Slidethe doorup and underuppertabs on the open
face of the chute. Push the bottom edge of the door
towards the
re ar ofthe sawto snapit overlowertab
of chute.
