Incorporated.Thisproductwasdesignedtoprovidemanyyearsofworry‐free
service.Shouldyouexperiencedifficultyduringtheoperationormaintenanceof
theproduct,pleasecallourCustomerServiceDepartment.Donotattemptto
alterormodifythedesignoftheSix‐WayMemoryPowerUnit.
ThismanualprovidesstepbystepinstructionstoproperlyoperateyourSix‐Way
MemoryPowerUnit.Itisimportanttoreadandfollowalldirectionscarefully.

TransmissionLineConnection
1. Atransmissionsafetyfeatureisdesignedintothecontrolmoduleto
preventthememorysystemfrombeingactivatedwhilethevehicleisin
motion.Thissafetyfeatureneedstobeconnectedforproperoperationof
thesix‐waymemorypowerunit.Thevehiclehasatransmissionenabled
signallinethatneedstobeconnectedtothewhiteorpinkpigtailwires
locatedattheswitchconnectorofthecontrolmodule(seeFigure1).
Ifyourvehicleprovidesa+12VsignalwhilethetransmissionisNOT
engaged,connectthetransmissionenabledsignalwiretothepinkpigtail.
IfthevehicleprovidesaGROUNDsignalwhenthetransmissionisNOT
engaged,connectthetransmissionenabledsignalwiretothewhitepigtail.

2. Oncethisfeatureisconnected,allsix‐waymemoryfunctionswilloperate
correctlywhenthevehicleisparked.Ifthevehicleisingear,memory
positionscannotbeactivated.However;allotherfeatureswilloperate,
includingthemanualpoweradjustmentofthepowerunit.

ProgrammingtheMemorySystem
Thememorysystemofthissix‐waypowerunitallowstheusertoprogramthe
seattoautomaticallyadjusttotheirspecificneedswiththepressofabutton.

Inorderfortheseatto“remember”anyposition,thesix‐waymemorypowerunit
mustbeprogrammedandstoredinthememorycontrolmodule.
1. Usingthefrontpaddleswitch,thecontrolstick,andtherearpaddleswitch
(Figure2),movetheseatintothedesiredseatingposition.Theseatadjust
controlsareasfollows:
FrontPaddleSwitch
Controlsthefrontmotor.
Up:Raisesthefrontof
theunit.
Down:Lowersthefront
oftheunit.
ControlStick
Controlsup,down,forward,and
rearwardoperation
Up:Raisesentireunit.
Down:Lowerstheunit.
Forward:Movesunit
forward.
Rearward:Movesunit
rearward.
RearPaddleSwitch
Controlstherearmotor.
Up:Raisestherearof
theunit.
Down:Lowerstherear
oftheunit.

2. Whenthepowerunitispositionedtothedesiredlocation,pressandhold
theProgramSwitchfor3seconds.Allofthegreenmemorypositionslights
willflash.TheProgramSwitchcanbereleasedandthisindicatesthe
systemisreadytosetapositiontomemory.
3. Whileallthegreenlightsareflashing,presstheMemorySwitchyouwishto
program.Forinstance,toprogramposition“one”,pressMemorySwitch
Button1.ThegreenlightabovetheMemorySwitchwillilluminateandthe
powerunitisnowprogrammedtothelocation.
4. Repeatsteps1‐3toprogramothermemorylocations.TheSix‐Way
MemoryPowerUnitcanholdupto(4)programmedlocations.

UsingtheProgrammedMemoryUnit
Tomovethepowerunittoaprogrammedlocation,pressoneoftheMemory
Switchbuttonsthathasbeenpresettoalocation.Whenthebuttonispressed,
theseatwillautomaticallyadjusttotheprogrammedposition.
NOTE:Thepowerunitwillnotmovetoaprogrammedlocationwhenthe
vehicleisingear.Ifthepowerunitistravellingtoaselectedmemorylocation
whenthevehicleisplacedingear,itwillcompletetheoperation.
ChangingaProgrammedLocation
Tochangeapreviouslyprogrammedmemorylocation,followthestepsinthe
section“ProgrammingtheMemorySystem”.
NOTE:Movingthepowerunittoanewlocationandprogrammingthenew
locationwilloverrideanypre‐existingprogrammingfortheselectedmemory
switch.

Theamber(power)andgreen(memory)lightindicatorsactasatroubleshooting
guidefortheuser.PleaserefertothislistshouldanyproblemsoccurwiththeSix‐
WayMemoryPowerUnit.

Maintenance
TheSix‐WayMemoryPowerUnithasbeendesignedtobemaintenancefree
throughoutthelifeoftheunit.Noadditionalmaintenanceisnecessary.
Thememorycontrolpanelcanbecleanedwithamildinteriorautomotive/
householdcleanerandadampcloth.Donotremovethecontrolpanelwhile
cleaning.
Whenthecleaningthecontrolpanelormemorymodule,besurewaterand/or
cleaningchemicalsdonotgetinsidethepanelormodule.Additionalwateror
cleaningchemicalsintheunitcancauseprematurecorrosionand/orfailuretothe
electricalcomponents.
