TS300 In-Vehicle Camera System
Quick Hardware Installation Guide
The TS300 recorder comes with a security enclosure. Check that you have all the system components and inspect the units for any scratches
or damage before installing. The recorder can be installed in any orientation.

The contents of a typical basic installation package are listed below. The actual contents of your installation package may vary, depending
on the options selected.

TS300 Recorder Installation
To install the TS300 recorder:
1Select a secure, dry mounting location.
2Unscrew the door lock and open the front cover. Verify there is an SD Media Card inside the recorder.
3Ensure the recorder is mounted securely.
4Connect the necessary components.
Camera, GPS Receiver, and Remote Panel Installation
1Install the camera (s), GPS receiver, and remote panel.
2Adjust the position and aim of the camera by monitoring the live video on the AV OUT jack on the recorder.
Hardware Installation Final Checklist
Harnesses (Camera, recorder, and accessories)
• Check that the cables and harnesses are properly secured.
• Check that sharp metal edges are not touching the cables or harnesses.
• Check that the connections are solid (no shorts).
• Plug the video monitor into the recorder and power up the system.
Cameras
• Check for tight mount.
• Check the internal harness connections.
• Check camera (s) field of view.
CAUTION
Route the wiring and cables away from sharp edges that might damage the insulation. Avoid sharp bends in the cable.

Recorder
• Check for tight mounting of hardware.
• Check that all connections are tight.
System
• Plug the video monitor into the recorder and power up the system.
• Confirm that the lights on the remote panel react properly.
• Test video record and test video playback. For more information, see the PC Viewer TS300 Player Software Guide.

Phase Remote panel lights
Normal power up The red and blue lights are briefly on, flashing, on, then only the blue light is on.
After power up A solid blue light indicates the system is ready, and the GPS fix has been acquired.
A flashing blue light means the GSP is not acquired, due to either poor satellite reception or problems with the installation/receiver.
After start up If the red panel light remains solid, this indicates that an expected camera channel is not working.
