Important Safety Information
• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the SEREN Toaster corresponds with the mains
voltage in your home. Failure to do so may cause damage to the product and to the
electrical system in your home. Tristar Products UK Ltd shall not be held liable for any failures
arising from connecting the unit to a power socket which the unit was not designed for. Any
such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use for industrial or commercial purposes.
• To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use extension cords that supply insufficient
current.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not place the appliance over or near direct heat sources such as a stove or hot oven.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch any other appliances
or hot surfaces.
• Place the unit on a flat, fixed heat resistant surface.
• After use, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow the unit to cool down.
Only move the product once it has completely cooled down.
• When not in use and before cleaning, disconnect the mains plug from the power outlet.
• NEVER immerse the appliance into water for cleaning or any other purposes. Do not let any
water or steam into the unit.
• Do not touch metal parts when in use.
• Avoid any action that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your device.
• To unplug the appliance, first hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping etc. Do not attempt
to repair the unit by yourself.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• In the unlikely event the appliance is not functioning well or shows any defect, please
contact your retailer. To avoid any inconvenience, we advise you to read this user manual
carefully before contacting them.
• Only use original spare parts in the appliance.
• NEVER overfill or put metal foil packs or tools into the appliance. This may cause a risk of
fire or electric shock.
• Bread or other foods can burn when heated for too long, therefore do not use the toaster
near or below combustible materials, such as curtains.
• Only use the appliance for its intended purposes as recommended in this manual.
• The opening and the outer surfaces may get hot when the appliance is operating.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
CAUTION
Due to the design of this product, hot air will escape from the openings on the right and
left side of the appliance while in use. Therefore the appliance should be placed at least
30cm away from any obstructions e.g. walls, curtains, doors, windows etc.

Operating Instructions
Basic Controls & Functions
Please note the SEREN Toaster will not operate if the Toasting Rack is not correctly
inserted. This is a safety mechanism, if you are experiencing difficulty operating the unit,
please check the Toasting Rack is correctly inserted.
6 Setting Time Control Dial – Control the toasting time of the SEREN. Setting 1 will warm
foods. Setting 6 will produce very highly toasted foods. Turn the dial to the ‘OFF’ position
to turn off the Power Indicator Light. The following times apply to the unit when started
cold, any residual heat inside the unit will reduce heating time to ensure consistent toasting
results. 1 – 135s, 2 – 160s, 3 – 170s, 4 – 180s, 5 – 190s, 6 – 200s
On/Off Button – Once you have selected your perfect toasting setting and inserted the
Toasting Rack, push the On/Off button to start the heating cycle. Push the button again if
you want to stop the toaster mid-cycle.
Defrost Button – If bread is taken directly from the freezer, use the Defrost Button. It will
automatically extend the toasting time by 10 seconds.
NOTE: The defrost time depends on the timer setting selected
Reheat Button – This setting will heat the unit up for 30 seconds regardless of the time
setting selected.
First Use
NOTE: A slight smell and some smoke may be produced during the very first use of the
appliance. This is normal and will disappear quickly during the initial heating.
• Pull out the sliding Toasting Rack from the appliance
• Open the Spring Loaded Toasting Rack by pushing the Toasting Rack Release Button
• Insert slices of bread in between the Toasting Rack. When inserting more than one piece of
bread, try to make sure they are of similar thickness to ensure the Toast Rack grips correctly.
• Slide the Toasting Rack back into the unit, making sure that it is fully inserted.
If it is not fully inserted, the unit will not turn on.
• Connect the mains plug to the wall socket and press the On/Off button.
• Twist the Time Control Dial away from the ‘OFF’ setting and select the appropriate time
setting (1-6)
• The red Power Indicator Light will turn on
• When the unit reaches the pre-defined temperature, a beep will sound 10 times and the
heating element will turn off automatically. The Power Indicator Light will stay on until the
sliding tray is removed or the Control Dial is set to the ‘OFF’ position.
• Pull the Toasting Rack out of the appliance and press the Release Button to open the rack
and remove your toast
NOTE: Be careful as the wire and the toast will be hot
• If at any stage, you want to stop the toasting process, simply push the On/Off button
• Unplug the appliance when not in use.
IMPORTANT: As a safety precaution, the appliance will turn off automatically if the
sliding tray is removed during toasting.

Maintenance & Cleaning
• Before cleaning the appliance, make sure it is turned off, cooled down and disconnected
from the mains plug socket.
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a clean and damp cloth. NEVER use abrasive
cleansers.
• NEVER immerse the unit, its cord or plug in water or other liquids.
• After removing the crumbs, wipe the tray with a clean and damp cloth.
With proper cleaning and maintenance, this product has a life cycle of 5 years

disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of
material resources. To return your used device, please use the return
and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was
purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

Guarantee
This guarantee covers the appliance for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase
for service and replacement of parts, on the condition that you have used the device
correctly as described in this user manual. This guarantee does not exclude national
legislation that may exist in the country of purchase in regards to warranty regulations.
When you make a claim under this guarantee, you must submit the original invoice or
receipt with clear mention of the date of purchase, name of retailer and the description and
model number of the device. You are advised to keep these documents in a safe place.
This device is intended for domestic use only. Damage and/or malfunctions as the result of
industrial or commercial use are excluded from the warranty.
The guarantee does not cover the supplied accessories or other parts of the device that are
subject to wear. If you want to reorder these parts, then please contact your local retailer.
The guarantee for this device expires if:
• Repairs have been executed by unauthorized repair workshops or persons who are not
authorized to do so
• The damage is the result of an external cause, such as fire damage, water damage,
transport damage, atmospheric discharges, insufficient or improper maintenance
• The device has been operated in another country than for which originally designed,
approved, released and produced, as well as defects occurred as the result of such
modifications
• The device has not been used according to the guidelines and directions in this user
manual supplied with the device.
In the unlikely event the device is not functioning well or shows any defect, please contact
your retailer. To avoid any inconvenience, we advise you to read this user manual carefully
before contacting them.
