Remove Bobbin Holder (V) by pulling the exposed top outwards. Be careful not to lose the spring.
Place the Bobbin onto the bobbin holder (V) so that it sits all the way to the end, then place the spring back
onto the end of the Bobbin holder. Reattach to the sewing machine.
Bring thread across over the tension adjusting screw (2) (Q) and position between the two washers behind
the screw.
Pull thread from tension adjusting screw (2) (Q) through thread guide (3) in the direction toward the left side
of the machine. Pull thread through the take-up lever (4) (D) inserting in the direction toward the left side of
the machine. Pull thread down to thread guide (5) and insert thread from the top downward.
Pull thread downward through thread guide (5). If necessary lower the needle (R) to reach this thread guide
by turning the hand-wheel (K) slightly towards you.
lnsert thread through hole (6) of the needle (R) from the left toward the right side of the machine (Use
needle threader if necessary). If necessary raise the needle (R) to reach the hole by turning the hand-wheel
(K) slightly away from you.
Raise the presser foot (F) by lifting up on the lever at the rear of machine (G). Pull about 12cm max of
thread through the needle (R) and lay it on the deck under the presser foot (F) running in the direction away

Lay the thread out straight making sure it aligns over the hole directly below the needle (R).
Turn the hand wheel (K) towards you until the needle (R) has moved down and then up again picking
up the bobbin thread.
Lower the presser foot (F) by pushing the presser foot lever down (G)
Replace the bobbin compartment (N) cover by sliding it back into place.
Replace the finger guard (W). Use some scissors or tweezers to bring both the spool thread and bobbin

To ensure a smooth and flat seam on both sides of the fabric, a correct thread tension is needed.
To loosen the thread tension, turn the tension screw (Q) to the left. Loosening the thread tension can
be very useful while threading the machine as it is easier to pull thread through. Sewing on heavier
fabric may also benefit from a looser tension.
To tighten the tension turn the tension screw (Q) to the right. Sewing on very light fabric may require
tighter tension.
Note: If you experience the machine jamming, this is likely to be because the tension is set incorrectly.
Please follow the above steps to adjust this.

Loosen Tighten

Remove the finger guard (W) by squeezing in the 2 sides and pulling it out towards you.
Turn the hand-wheel (K) away from you to raise the needle (R) to its highest position.
Loosen the needle clamp (O) by turning the clamp screw toward you. You may need to use a small
flat headed screwdriver, small pliers or a coin.
Remove the needle (R) by pulling it down, away from the needle clamp (O).
Place the new needle (R) with the flat side facing in against the needle clamp (O).
Push it gently as far up as it will go, and against the needle clamp (O) Tighten the needle clamp screw
(O) while holding the needle (R) in place.
Turn the hand-wheel (K) away from you to lower the needle (R).
Replace the finger guard.
Note: Needles come in various sizes. The smaller the number, the thinner the needle. Use smaller
needles for more delicate fabrics and larger needles for heavier fabrics.

from the toy before being charged. Dierent types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to
be mixed. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed
from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
RECYCLING BATTERIES, WASTE ELECTRICAL and ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them. Help the environment,
dispose of batteries and electrical products responsibly. Batteries must not be disposed of in domestic
waste as they can contain substances which can be damaging to the environment and health.
Please contact your local authority for designated collection points or recycling facility.
Always disconnect or remove power supply including batteries when changing needles or threading
machines.
Never open the main motor case of the machine, the mechanism has been factory adjusted. Always
check the threading of the Iock stitch before beginning to sew a seam. Improper threading or
placement of the bobbin in the case could result in damage to the machine.
Do not pull on fabric as you sew. Gently guide only. Pulling could break the needle and result in
damage to the machine or injury.
Remove batteries when the machine is not in use for long periods, This saves battery life and protects
the machine. Keep extra batteries on hand so projects will not be interrupted when batteries need to
be replaced.
Do not operate the sewing machine with wet hands, without shoes, or while standing in water or on a
wet surface when using the adaptor.
Use only the power adaptor recommended by the manufacturer, any other adaptor may cause injury
or damage to the machine.
Never use with a damaged power cord or plug. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not trap the power cord or pull around sharp edges this could cause the cord to become
punctured or damaged and could result in injury.
Do not unplug by pulling or tugging on the cord. Grasp the plug with dry hands to remove the plug
from the outlet. Always turn the power o at the source when removing the plug.
Do not touch needles before you turn o the power.
Do not sew clothing while it is on your body.
Never leave the sewing machine unattended while plugged in. Turn the sewing machine o, and
unplug the power cord when not in use.
Transformers used with the toy are to be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure
and other parts, and that, in the event of such damage, the toy must not be used with this transformer
until the damage has been repaired.
