Battery installation (for the remote
control)
• Open the Battery cover on the
underside of the unit.
• Insert 2”AAA”1.5V batteries (not
included) following the polarity
as indicated in the compartment.
Alkaline batteries are
recommended for long using time.

• Press the battery cover back to
close until it is tight.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
REMOTE CONTROL SETUP:
• Remove the battery cover on the back
of the remote control and insert 2 X
AAA batteries (not supplied) and then
close the cover.
• When using the remote control,
please point the remitting port (at
the top of the remote control) directly
at the receiver window on the DVD
player.
• If the remote control will only function
a short distance from the DVD player,
replace the batteries. Always replace
both batteries at once.
• Check the batteries regularly. Any
leakage can damage the remote
control.
REMOTE CONTROL:
• POWER – Press turn to it on.
• NUMBER BUTTONS: Use for entering
numbers to choose DVD chapters, set
the time etc.
• SETUP: Press to enter the Setup
menu.
• UP: Press to move up through a step.
• LEFT: Press to move back a previous
step.
• DOWN: Press to move down a step.
• TITLE: Press to open the selection
menu of the DVD disc. Use the UP/
DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons
to move through the menu. Press
ENTER to confirm your selection.
• PLAY: Press to play a disc.
• L/R: For use with VCDs or DVCDs.
Press to select left/right/stereo etc.
For multi-output modes, press this
button to switch between channels.
• STOP: Press to stop the playback.
• REPEAT: Press repeat when watching
a DVD to repeat the chapter, repeat
the title or turn off repeat.
• A-B: Press the A-B button at the point
where you want to begin repeat play,
and then press again at the point
where you want to stop repeat play.
The selected section will be repeated
until you press clear.
• REV: Press to rewind quickly.
• FWD: Press to fast forward quickly.
• SKIP BACKWARD: Press to skip to the
previous chapter or track.
• SKIP FORWARD: Press to skip to the
next chapter or track.
• OPEN/CLOSE: Press once to eject the
disc tray. Press again to close the disc
tray.
• AUDIO: Select the right or left output
option.
• ANGLE: Some discs have multiple
angle options. Press the angle button
repeatedly to cycle through different
camera angles.
• SUBTITLE: If the disc is equipped with
subtitles, press this button repeatedly
to select a subtitle language, or to
turn off the subtitles.
• ZOOM: Press “ZOOM” Key to zoom in or
zoom out the movie or picture you wish to
view at a different size. The first four
presses will be to “zoom in”, then the
coming four presses are to “zoom out”,
then the last press you will get the normal
size picture back.

• RIGHT: Press to navigate right
between menu options.
• OK: Press to confirm a selection.
• MENU: Press to return to the main
menu of a disc or DVD.
• PAUSE: Press the pause playback.
• VOL +: Press to increase the volume.
• MUTE: Press to mute the sound.
• VOL -: Press to decrease the volume.
• SLOW: Press to play disc is slow
motion, without sound. Press again to
turn off the slow motion.
• RETURN: For any discs that are not
DVDs, press to return to the track list
menu during playback.
• DVD/USB: Use to toggle between DVD
and USB options.
• PBC: Press to return to the PBC
menu.
INSTALLATION:
Select a stable, flat surface to the side or
near a TV set to install the DVD player.
Do not install on top of a TV or monitor.
Do not block the vents by placing the DVD
player directly on to carpet, a bed, a sofa
or by covering it with a cloth.
Do not place any objects on top of the DVD
player.
Do not move the DVD player during
playback.
Do not install the DVD player and speaker
system in any place that is:
• Exposed to direct sunlight
• Extremely hot or cold
• Poorly ventilated or exposed to
humidity
• Exposed to dust
• Exposed to smoke, steam or heat
(such as a kitchen or bathroom)
USING YOUR APPLIANCE:
Connecting with the HDMI lead ( included):
1. Connect the DVD player to your TV
using a HDMI CABLE.
2. Plug the DVD player in at the mains
and turn on using the Standby button.
3. Turn your TV on. If the TV does not
automatically show the DVD player
loading screen, use your television
remote to select the required input
channel. Alternatively, press the
source button on the DVD remote
repeatedly to enter AUX/Line mode,
indicated by a white light.
4. Use the eject button to eject the
loading tray in the DVD player and
insert a DVD. Close the loading tray.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
SETUP:
The following tables show the different on-
screen setup options.
1. Press set up key to access the set up
menu
2. Press direction key to an item, then
press select to confirm.
3. Press set up or return key to exit
setup menu.
USB
With the USB function, you can play video
files directly from a USB flash drive. Insert
the USB flash drive into the USB port and
press the DVD/USB button on the remote
control to select the USB function.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Power connected but DVD
player does not work.
Plug not inserted correctly.
Connect the power supply again.
Disc inserted, but no tracks
and the play time shown on
the TV screen.
Disc inserted upside down, Disc
is dirty or cracked.
Correctly insert the disc, clean
or replace the disc.
No sound
The AV cable is not correctly
connected or is loose.
Reconnect the AV cable and
ensure the TV is on the correct
channel.
No picture.
The cables are not inserted
correctly.
Re-insert the cables, check
the SCART lead or AV cable is
connected correctly.
The remote control does not
work.
The battery does not have
enough power, the remote
controller is not correctly
pointed at the remote sensor or
the remote sensor is dirty.
Change the battery. Point the
remote controller directly at the
remote sensor, clean the surface
of the remote sensor.
During playing, the picture
stops moving, skips or the
sound is abnormal.
The disc is not in good condition
- cracked or dirty
The speaker is interfering with
DVD playback.
Clean or replace the disc, move
the speaker away from the
player.
NOTE:
1. In order to prolong the player life,
please restart the DVD player after 30
seconds when power off.
2. Please pull the plug out if the player is
not being used.
3. This player must be connected to a
matching rated voltage.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
DVD PLAYER:
Use a soft slightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use a solution
containing alcohol, spirits, ammonia or
abrasives.
CLEANING DVDs:
When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a
cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the centre out.
Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinner,
commercially available cleaners, or antistatic
spray intended for analogue records.

A-B Repeat: The A-B button on a remote
control, not to be confused
with the Repeat button.
Pressing the A-B button
allows you to manually
select a section to repeat.
AC IN: AC Input socket for AV
Cables
AV Cable: AV Cables are used to
transmit audio/visual
signals.
CVBS: Composite Video Blanking
and Sync. A type of video
signal which is mainly
analogue.
DVD: A compact disc that stores
large amounts of high-
resolution audio-visual
data.
DVCD: Double Video Compact Disc
- a type of VCD that holds
video and audio.
FPS: Frames per second.
L/R VIDEO
OUTPUT: Left and Right video
outputs for RCA Cable
input. Colour coded red
and white to match with
corresponding cable
connections.
NTSC: A television display system
used in the U.S and
Canada. Delivers a frame
rate of 30 fps using 525
lines.
OSD: On-screen Display. A
control panel that allows
you to select and edit the
display (such as brightness
and contrast) and select
viewing options.
PAL: A television display system
commonly used in Europe
and parts of Asia. Delivers
a frame rate of 25 fps with
625 lines.
PBC: Playback Control.
Ratings:
G Rating: Suitable for all audiences.
PG Rating: Parental guidance
suggested; some material
may not be suitable for
children.
PG-13 Rating: Parental guidance strongly
cautioned; some material
may be inappropriate for
children under 13.
R rating: Restricted; contains some
adult material, under 17’s
require an accompanying
parent or adult guardian.
NC-17: Adults only.
RCA Cable: A type of connector used to
transit audio/visual signals.
RGB: Video input in which red,
green and blue colour
information is transmitted
separately from the picture
information of an image.

option.
SVCD: Super Video Compact
Disc – a digital format for
storing video on standard
compact discs.
SCART
OUTPUT: A 21 pin socket used to
connect video equipment.
SCART LEAD: Cable commonly used to
connect televisions and
DVD players, VCR or games
consoles.
USB: Universal Serial Bus. A
popular connection for
sharing and transferring
data from external devices.
USB PORT: A port to connect a USB
flash drive to.
VCD: Video Compact Disc,
designed to hold MPEG-1
video data and to include
interactive capabilities.
