out of the reach of children.
• WEAR THE CORRECT CLOTHING: Do not wear loose clothing, neckties, rings,
bracelets, or other jewellery, which may get caught in moving parts.
• PROTECT YOURSELF FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK: When working with the water
pump, avoid contact with any earthed items (e.g. pipes, radiators, hobs and
refrigerators, etc.). It is advisable wherever possible to use an RCD (residual
current device) at the mains socket.
• STAY ALERT: Always watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not
operate the water pump when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol or
drugs.
• DISCONNECT THE WATER PUMP FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY: When not in use,
before servicing and when changing hoses, etc.
• DO NOT ABUSE THE MAINS LEAD: Never attempt to move the water pump by
the mains lead or pull it to remove the plug from the mains socket. Keep the
mains lead away from heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains lead is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid unwanted hazards.
• CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS: Before every use of the water pump, check
for any damage and determine that it will operate correctly and perform its

parts, breakage of parts, and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Any parts that are damaged should be correctly repaired or replaced by an
authorised service centre unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual.
Have defective items replaced by an authorised service agent. Do not use the
water pump if the mains lead is split or the casing is damaged.
• MAINTAIN THE WATER PUMP WITH CARE: Keep the impeller clean for the best
and safest performance. The mains lead must be checked at regular intervals and
replaced if damaged.
• USE ONLY RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES: Consult this user manual, your
distributor or SIP directly for recommended accessories. Follow the instructions
that accompany the accessories. The use of improper accessories may cause
hazards and could invalidate any warranty you may have.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Read these electrical safety instructions thoroughly
before connecting the product to the mains supply.
Connect the mains lead to a standard, 230 Volt (50Hz) electrical supply through an
approved 13 amp plug, or a suitably fused isolator switch.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or because
of damage, it must be removed and a replacement fitted, following the wiring
instructions shown below. The old plug must be discarded safely, as insertion into a
power socket could cause an electrical hazard.
WARNING: The wires in the power cable of this product are
coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue = neutral / Brown = live / Yellow and Green = earth
If the colours of the wires in the power cable do not agree with the markings
on the plug:
• The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked N or coloured
black.
• The BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked L or
coloured red.
• The YELLOW and GREEN wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked
E or or coloured green.
We strongly recommend that this machine is connected to the mains supply through
a Residual Current Device (RCD).
If you are not sure, consult a qualified electrician. DO NOT try to do any repairs.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

NOTE: Always make sure the mains supply is of the correct voltage
and the correct fuse protection is used. In the event of replacing the
fuse always replace the fuse with the same value as the original.
WARNING: Improper use of extension leads may cause inefficient
operation of the item which can result in overheating and motor
damage.
8
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
NOTE: You must check and inspect all electrical products, before use,
to ensure that they are safe.
Use of Extension Leads and Connections
• Avoid the use of loose and inadequately insulated connections.
• Connections must be made with protected material suitable for outdoor use.
• Make sure that any extension lead connections are dry and safe.
• Ensure that the extension lead is carefully laid out avoiding liquids, sharp edges
and places where vehicles might run over it.
• Avoid allowing the extension lead to be trapped underneath the item.
• Unwind it fully or it will overheat and could catch fire.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLING THE PUMP
When installing, please ensure your submersible pump is disconnected from the
electrical supply to prevent possible injury to people and / or damage due to
unwanted start up.
• Screw the hose adaptor onto the elbow, then screw it into the side of the water
pump.
• Push your hose onto the hose adaptor.
• Secure using a relevant pipe clip or similar (pipe clip not supplied).
• Lower the pump into the water, use rope or similar around the handle to lower
it into position (where required). Do not use the mains lead or float switch cable.
Fig.2
• You may need to shorten the length of the float switch in order to control the
depth of which it cuts power to the pump. Fig.3
• Once the water pump is in position, connect to a power supply and switch on.
After a few moments, the pump should start to pump the water; if the water is
too low it will not pump until the water has risen high enough to engage the float
switch.

MAINTENANCE
Danger / Caution: Prior to any adjustment, maintenance or service
work. Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains power plug!
The pump is mainly maintenance free as long as the pump is drained and cleaned
after each use; You may need, from time to time to clear the impeller of any
unwanted waste / debris.
Never use flammable or corrosive liquids to clean the water pump. Always keep the
motor free from contamination.
CLEANING THE INTERNAL SYSTEM
• Unscrew the retaining screws and remove the base plate (if applicable).
• Unscrew the retaining screws and remove the base.
• Rinse with clean water to remove debris.
• Refit the base and O-ring and secure with the retaining screws.
• Clean and store the pump in a dry and frost free place after each use, the
ambient temperature should be no less than 0°C.
NOTE: Make a mark on the base and the pump body to ensure that
they are refitted in the correct orientation.
NOTE: Take care when removing the base so as not to lose or
damage the seals; Ensure they are fitted correctly when refitting the
base.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault Possible Cause Remedy
1. The pump works but it
does not deliver water.
A. The suction grid is clogged.
B. The impeller is clogged or
damaged.
C. The required head is
higher than the pump
characteristic.
A. Clean the filter.
B. Remove the blocks.
2. The pump does not start or
shut down according to the
change of water level.
The float switch can’t swing
freely.
Make sure that the float
switch swings freely, and
adjust the length of the
cable by the cable groove.
3. The flow rate is
inadequate.
A. The suction grid is clogged.
B. The impeller or the
discharging tube is clogged.
Clean the block.
4. The pump stops with the
float switch on after working
for a short time.
The pump stops
automatically for the thermal
protector turned on.
Check whether is the
temperature or the density
of the liquid too high to
overheat the electrical
motor.
5. The pump does not work.
A. Check the float switch
swings freely.
B. Check the connection of
power plug and socket is
well.
Make sure that the float
switch swings freely, and
adjust the length of the
cable by the cable groove.
