Introduction
Congratulations on your purc ase of t e WL-347/WL-348 Wireless Network
Broadband modem/Router. T e WL-347/WL-348 is compliant wit draft
802.11n v 2.0 and up to 6 times faster t an standard 802.11g based routers
w ile still being compatible wit 802.11g & 802.11b gadgets. T e WL-
347/WL-348 is not only a Modem or Wireless Access Point, but also doubles
as a 4-port full-duplex Switc t at connects your wired-Et ernet devices
toget er at.
At 300 Mbps wireless transmission rate, t e Access Point built into t e
Modem/Router uses advanced MIMO (Multi-Input, Multi-Output) tec nology to
transmit multiple steams of data in a single wireless c annel, giving you
seamless access to multimedia content. Robust RF signal travels fart er,
eliminates dead spots and extends network range. For data protection and
privacy, t e WL-347/WL-348 encodes all wireless transmissions wit WEP,
WPA, and WPA2 encryption.
Wit an inbuilt DHCP Server & powerful SPI firewall t e WL-347/WL-348
protects your computers against intruders and most known Internet attacks
but provides safe VPN pass-t roug . Wit t e incredible speed and QoS
function of 802.11n(draft2.0), t e WL-347/WL-348 is ideal for media-centric
applications like streaming video, gaming, and VoIP telep ony to run multiple
media-intense data streams t roug t e network at t e same time, wit no

4 Network + System equirements
To begin using t e WL-347/WL-348, make sure you meet t e following
as minimum requirements:
• PC/Notebook.
• Operating System – Microsoft Windows XP/2000/VISTA
• 1 Free Et ernet port.
• Wi-Fi card/USB dongle (802.11 b/g/n) – optional.
• Annex A, ADSL internet connection.
• PC wit a Web-Browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera)
• Et ernet compatible CAT5 cables.
5 WL-347/WL-348 Placement
You can place t e WL-347/WL-348 on a desk or ot er flat surface, or
you can mount it on a wall. For optimal performance, place your
Wireless Broadband Modem/Router in t e center of your office (or your
ome) in a location t at is away from any potential source of
interference, suc as a metal wall or microwave oven. T is location
must be close to a power connection and t e ADSL/p one line s ould
not be over 2 meters long.

• Enter [Start Menu]  select [Control panel]  select [Network].
• Select [Local Area Connection]) icon=>select [properties]

a. WL-347/WL-348 supports [DHCP] function, please select bot [Obtain
an IP address automatically] and [Obtain DNS server address
automatically].

8 Bringing up the WL-347/WL-348
Connect t e supplied power-adapter to t e power inlet port and connect it to
a wall outlet. T e WL-347/WL-348 automatically enters t e self-test p ase.
During self-test p ase, t e Power LED will blink briefly, and t en will be lit
continuously to indicate t at t is product is in normal operation.

T e System status section allows you to monitor t e current status of your
router: t e UP time, ardware information, serial number as well as firmware
version information is displayed ere.

LAN settings
T e LAN tab gives you t e opportunity to c ange t e IP settings of t e WL-
347/WL-348.
Click <Apply> at t e bottom of t is screen to save any c anges.
IP address 192.168.0.1. It is t e router’s LAN IP address (Your LAN clients
default gateway IP address).
IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Specify a Subnet Mask for your LAN segment.
802.1d Spanning Tree is Disabled by default. If t e 802.1d Spanning Tree
function is enabled, t is router will use t e spanning tree protocol to prevent
network loops.
D CP Server Enabled by default. You can enable or disable t e DHCP server.
W en DHCP is disabled no ip-addresses are assigned to clients and you ave to
use static ip-addresses. W en DHCP server is enabled your computers will be
assigned an ip-address automatically until t e lease time expires.

Lease Time Forever. In t e Lease Time setting you can specify t e time period
t at t e DHCP lends an IP address to your LAN clients. T e DHCP will c ange
your LAN client’s IP address w en t is time t res old period is reac ed.
IP Address Pool You can select a particular IP address range for your DHCP
server to issue IP addresses to your LAN Clients.
Note: default IP range 192.168.0.100






your PC(s) to have a static/fixed IP address, then you’ll have to choose
an IP address outside this IP address Pool
Domain Name You can specify a Domain Name for your LAN. Or just keep t e
default (SitecomWLxxx).

Device Status
View t e Broadband modem/router’s current configuration settings. Device
Status displays t e configuration settings you’ve configured in t e Wizard /
Basic Settings / Wireless Settings section.

Internet Status
T is page displays w et er t e ADSL port is connected to an ADSL service
provider. It also displays t e router’s WAN IP address, Subnet Mask, and ISP
Gateway as well as MAC address, t e Primary DNS. Press enew button to
renew your WAN IP address.

ADSL Status
T is page s ows t e current operation mode, status of your ADSL connection, t e
data rate and t e quality of your ADSL link.
Operation mode allows manual selection of t e ADSL mode.

DHCP Client Status
DHCP T is page s ows all DHCP clients (LAN PCs) currently connected to your
network. T e table s ows t e assigned IP address, MAC address and expiration
time for eac DHCP leased client.
Use t e efresh button to update t e available information.
