control.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk
of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for
carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or entangled cords increased the risk
of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric
shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is
unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool. Do not
use a power tool while you are tired or under the
inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear
eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safely shoes, hard hat or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch
is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying
the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the
switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on
invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning
the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to
a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal
injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. This enables better control of the power
tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can
be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of dust collection
can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of
tools allow you to become complacent and ignore

• This tool is intended for hammer drilling in concrete,
brick and stone, as well as for drilling in wood, metal,
ceramic and plastic; tools with electronic speed control
and left/right rotation are also suitable for screw driving
and thread cutting

traditional ratcheting drill when drilling in concrete
• This tool is designed for use in combination with all
standard SDS+ accessories
• This tool is not intended for professional use

SAFETY
GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
-WARNING Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and specications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may
result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-
operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless)
power tool.
1) WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating

f) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re
or excessive temperature. Exposure to re or
temperature above 130°C may cause explosion.
g) Follow all charging Instructions and do not charge
the battery pack or tool outside the temperature
range specied in the instructions. Charging
improperly or at temperatures outside the specied
range may damage the battery and increase the risk of
re.
6) SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs. Service
of battery packs should only be performed by the
manufacturer or authorized service providers.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORDLESS HAMMER
• Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause
hearing loss
• Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool.
Loss of control can cause personal injury
• Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces,
when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring (cutting
accessory contacting a “live” wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the
operator an electric shock)
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WHEN USING LONG DRILL
BITS WITH ROTARY HAMMERS
• Always start drilling at low speed and with the bit
tip in contact with the workpiece. At higher speeds,
the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate freely without
contacting the workpiece, resulting in personal injury.
• Apply pressure only in direct line with the bit and do
not apply excessive pressure. Bits can bend, causing
breakage or loss of control, resulting in personal injury.
GENERAL
• Do not work materials containing asbestos (asbestos
is considered carcinogenic)
• This tool should not be used by people under the age of
16 years
• Dust from material such as paint containing lead, some
wood species, minerals and metal may be harmful
(contact with or inhalation of the dust may cause allergic
reactions and/or respiratory diseases to the operator or
bystanders); wear a dust mask and work with a dust
extraction device when connectable
• Certain kinds of dust are classied as carcinogenic
(such as oak and beech dust) especially in conjunction
with additives for wood conditioning; wear a dust
mask and work with a dust extraction device when
connectable
• Follow the dust-related national requirements for the
materials you want to work with
BEFORE USE
• Avoid damage that can be caused by screws, Anails and
other elements in your workpiece; remove them before
you start working
• Secure the workpiece (a workpiece clamped with
clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely than
tool safety principles. A careless action can cause
severe injury within a fraction of a second.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power
tool for your application. The correct power tool will
do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn
it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/
or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from
the power tool before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such
preventive safely measures reduce the risk of starting
the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children
and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts and any other condition that may affect the
power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power
tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused
by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.
in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean
and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
5) BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Recharge only with the charger specied by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with
another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and re.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or
modied. Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk
of injury.

un incendie, une explosion ou un risque de blessure.

feu ou à des températures supérieures à 130 °C peut

c) Débranchez le câble de l’alimentation électrique
et/ou retirez la batterie, si amovible, de l’outil
électrique avant tout réglage ou changement
d’accessoire, et avant de ranger l’outil électrique.
Cette mesure de sécurité préventive réduit le risque de
démarrage accidentel de l’outil électrique.
d) Rangez les outils électriques non utilisés hors de
portée des enfants. N’autorisez pas les personnes
non familiarisées avec l’outil électrique ou ce

SICHERHEIT
ALLGEMEINE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE ZU
ELEKTROWERKZEUGEN
-WARNUNG Beachten Sie alle Warnhinweise,
Anweisungen, Abbildungen und technischen Daten,
die diesem Elektrowerkzeug beigefügt sind. Die
Nichtbeachtung der unten aufgeführten Anweisungen
kann zu Stromschlägen, Bränden und/oder schweren
Verletzungen führen.
Bewahren Sie alle Warn- und Bedienhinweise für
Nachschlagezwecke auf.
Unter den Begri „Elektrowerkzeug“ in den Warnhinweisen
fallen netzbetriebene (d. h. kabelgebundene) oder
akkubetriebene (d.h. kabellose) Elektrowerkzeuge.
1) SICHERHEIT IM ARBEITSBEREICH
a) Halten Sie den Arbeitsbereich stets sauber und
gut beleuchtet. Unaufgeräumte oder dunkle Bereiche
können Unfälle provozieren.
b) Verwenden Sie Elektrowerkzeuge nicht in

2) ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT

in die Steckdosen passen. Der Netzstecker darf

sind auch zum Schrauben und Gewindeschneiden

g) Wenn Komponenten zum Anschluss an eine
Absauganlage und an Auangvorrichtungen
mitgeliefert werden, achten Sie darauf, dass diese
ordnungsgemäß befestigt und benutzt werden.
Die Verwendung einer Staubauangvorrichtung kann
Gefahren durch Staub reduzieren.
h) Lassen Sie sich nicht durch die aufgrund
häuger Benutzung entstandene Vertrautheit
mit Werkzeugen dazu verleiten, unachtsam
zu werden und die für Werkzeuge geltenden
Sicherheitsgrundsätze zu ignorieren. Eine fahrlässige
Handlung kann bereits im Bruchteil einer Sekunde zu
schweren Verletzungen führen.
4) GEBRAUCH UND PFLEGE DES
ELEKTROWERKZEUGS
a) Üben Sie keinen übermäßigen Druck auf das
Elektrowerkzeug aus. Verwenden Sie ein geeignetes
Elektrowerkzeug für die jeweiligen Arbeiten. Durch
das passende Elektrowerkzeug lassen sich die Arbeiten
besser und sicherer in dem jeweils vorgesehenen Tempo
erledigen.
b) Verwenden Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht, wenn es
sich mit dem Schalter weder ein- noch ausschalten
lässt. Ein Elektrowerkzeug, das sich über den Schalter
nicht betätigen lässt, ist gefährlich und muss repariert
werden.
c) Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose bzw.
nehmen Sie den Akku vom Elektrowerkzeug ab,
sofern dieser entfernbar ist, bevor Sie Einstellungen
vornehmen, das Zubehör wechseln oder das
Elektrowerkzeug verstauen. Solche vorsorglichen
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen verringern die Gefahr eines
unbeabsichtigten Anlaufs.
d) Bewahren Sie nicht benutzte Elektrowerkzeuge
außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf und
verbieten Sie Personen die Gerätebenutzung, die
das Elektrowerkzeug oder diese Anweisungen nicht
kennen. In den Händen nicht eingewiesener Benutzer
stellen Elektrowerkzeuge eine große Gefahr dar.
e) Warten Sie Elektrowerkzeuge und Zubehörteile.
Achten Sie auf falsch ausgerichtete oder fest
sitzende bewegliche Teile, Bruchstellen und
sonstige Umstände, die die Funktion des
Elektrowerkzeuges beeinträchtigen können. Lassen
Sie beschädigte Elektrowerkzeuge reparieren, bevor
Sie sie wieder einsetzen. Viele Unfälle entstehen durch
schlecht gewartete Elektrowerkzeuge.
f) Halten Sie Schneidwerkzeuge scharf und sauber.
Sachgemäß gewartete Schneidwerkzeuge mit scharfen
Schneiden neigen weniger zum Festfahren und sind
leichter zu kontrollieren.
g) Benutzen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug, Zubehör,
Bits usw. gemäß diesen Anweisungen und
berücksichtigen Sie dabei die Arbeitsbedingungen
und die auszuführenden Arbeiten. Die Verwendung
des Elektrowerkzeugs für Aufgaben, die von seinem
bestimmungsgemäßen Zweck abweichen, können zu
gefährlichen Situationen führen.
h) Halten Sie die Grie und Griächen trocken,
sauber und frei von Öl und Fett. Rutschige Grie und
passende Steckdosen reduzieren die Stromschlaggefahr.
b) Vermeiden Sie den Körperkontakt zu geerdeten
Flächen wie zum Beispiel Rohrleitungen,
Heizkörpern, Herden und Kühlschränken. Es besteht
erhöhte Stromschlaggefahr, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.
c) Schützen Sie Elektrowerkzeuge vor Regen
oder feuchten Bedingungen. Wenn Wasser in
das Elektrowerkzeug eindringt, besteht erhöhte
Stromschlaggefahr.
d) Das Kabel darf nicht zweckentfremdet werden.
Das Netzkabel darf nicht zum Tragen, Ziehen
oder Herausziehen des Elektrowerkzeugs aus der
Steckdose verwendet werden. Das Netzkabel muss
vor Hitze, Öl, scharfen Kanten oder beweglichen
Teilen ferngehalten werden. Durch beschädigte oder
verknotete Kabel besteht erhöhte Stromschlaggefahr.
e) Wenn Sie ein Elektrowerkzeug im Freien benutzen,
verwenden Sie ein Verlängerungskabel, das
für den Gebrauch im Freien geeignet ist. Die
Stromschlaggefahr verringert sich bei Gebrauch eines
Netzkabels, das für den Einsatz im Freien geeignet ist.
f) Wenn der Gebrauch eines Elektrowerkzeuges an
einem feuchten Ort unvermeidbar ist, benutzen Sie
eine durch eine Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (FI-
Schalter) geschützte Stromquelle. Die Verwendung
einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung reduziert die
Stromschlaggefahr.
3) PERSONENSICHERHEIT
a) Seien Sie wachsam, geben Sie darauf Acht,
was Sie tun, und benutzen Sie Ihren gesunden
Menschenverstand, wenn Sie ein Elektrowerkzeug
verwenden. Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn
Sie müde oder unter dem Einuss von Drogen,
Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment
der Unachtsamkeit kann beim Gebrauch eines
Elektrowerkzeugs zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.
b) Tragen Sie eine persönliche Schutzausrüstung.
Tragen Sie immer einen Augenschutz. Durch eine
Schutzausrüstung wie etwa eine Staubschutzmaske,
rutschfeste Schuhe, Schutzhelm oder Gehörschutz lässt
sich die Verletzungsgefahr den Umständen entsprechend
verringern.
c) Ungewollten Anlauf verhindern. Vor dem
Anschließen an eine Steckdose und/oder einen
Akku und vor dem Aufnehmen oder Transportieren
des Geräts immer kontrollieren, ob der
Hauptschalter in ausgeschalteter Position ist. Unfälle
sind vorprogrammiert, wenn Sie Elektrowerkzeuge
mit einem Finger am Betriebsschalter tragen oder
Elektrowerkzeuge mit eingeschaltetem Betriebsschalter
an eine Steckdose anschließen.
d) Entfernen Sie alle Einstellschlüssel oder
Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie das Elektrowerkzeug
einschalten. Ein Schraubenschlüssel oder ein
Schlüssel, der noch an einem beweglichen Teil des
Elektrowerkzeuges befestigt ist, kann Verletzungen
hervorrufen.
e) Nicht überstrecken. Achten Sie stets auf einen
festen Stand und halten Sie das Gleichgewicht. Dies
ermöglicht in unerwarteten Situationen eine bessere
Kontrolle über das Elektrowerkzeug.
f) Tragen Sie angemessene Kleidung. Tragen Sie keine
weite Kleidung oder Schmuck. Halten Sie Ihr Haar

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE BEI VERWENDUNG LANGER
BOHRER IN BOHRHAMMERN
• Bohren Sie anfangs immer mit niedriger Drehzahl.
Die Bohrerspitze muss stets im Kontakt mit dem
Werkstück sein. Bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten kann
sich der Bohrer verbiegen, wenn er sich frei drehen
kann, ohne das Werkstück zu berühren. Dies kann zu
Verletzungen führen.
• Druck nur in direkter Linie mit dem Bohrer ausüben
und keinen übermäßigen Druck ausüben. Bohrer
können sich verbiegen, sodass sie brechen oder
einen Kontrollverlust herbeiführen. Dadurch besteht
Verletzungsgefahr.
ALLGEMEINES
• Bearbeiten Sie kein asbesthaltiges Material (Asbest
gilt als krebserregend)
• Das Werkzeug ist nur für Personen ab 16 Jahren
geeignet
• Der Staub von Materialien wie bleihaltiger Farbe,
bestimmten Holzarten, Mineralien und Metallen kann
gesundheitsschädlich sein (das Einatmen oder der
Kontakt mit diesen Stäuben kann allergische Reaktionen
und/oder Atemwegserkrankungen beim Benutzer oder
bei Passanten auslösen); tragen Sie eine Staubmaske
und arbeiten Sie mit einer Staubabsaugung, sofern
ein Anschluss dafür vorhanden ist
• Bestimmte Stäube sind als krebserregend eingestuft
(beispielsweise Eichen- und Buchenholzstaub),
insbesondere in Verbindung mit Zusätzen für die
Holzvorbehandlung. Tragen Sie eine Staubmaske
und arbeiten Sie mit einer Staubabsaugung, sofern
anschließbar
• Beachten Sie die für Ihr verwendetes Verbrauchsmaterial

VOR DER ANWENDUNG
• Beschädigungen durch Schrauben, Nägel und ähnliches
an Ihrem Werkstück vermelden; vor Arbeitsbeginn
müssen diese entfernt werden
• Spannen Sie das Werkstück ein (Wird das Werkstück
von einer Spannvorrichtung gehalten oder in einen
Schraubstock eingespannt, ist das Arbeiten sicherer als
beim Festhalten mit der Hand)
• Verwenden Sie geeignete Suchgeräte, um unter
Putz verlegte Leitungen aufzuspüren. Wenden
Sie sich alternativ an einen Elektrofachbetrieb.
Der Kontakt mit Elektroleitungen kann Brände und
Stromschläge hervorrufen. Bei Beschädigung einer
Gasleitung besteht Explosionsgefahr. Durch das
Anbohren einer Wasserleitung besteht die Gefahr einer
Sachbeschädigung oder Stromschlaggefahr.
• Stellen Sie sicher dass Richtungswahlschalter B2 auf
die mittlere Verriegelungsposition gestellt ist, bevor Sie
Einstellungen vornehmen, Zubehör wechseln oder das
Werkzeug transportieren bzw. verstauen.
• Beachten Sie die auftretenden Kräfte beim Blockieren
(besonders beim Bohren in Metall). Das Werkzeug
immer am Zusatzgri festhalten und einen sicheren
Stand einnehmen
ZUBEHÖR
• SKIL kann nur dann die einwandfreie Funktion des
Griächen beeinträchtigen die sichere Handhabung des
Werkzeugs und führen in unerwarteten Situationen zum
Verlust der Kontrolle über das Werkzeug.
5) BENUTZUNG UND PFLEGE VON AKKUGERÄTEN
a) Laden Sie den Akku nur mit dem vom Hersteller
vorgegebenen Ladegerät auf. Ein Ladegerät, das für
einen bestimmten Akkutyp geeignet ist, kann bei der
Benutzung eines anderen Akkus zu einer Brandgefahr
werden.
b) Benutzen Sie für die Elektrowerkzeuge nur die
jeweils zugehörigen Akkus. Durch die Verwendung
anderer Akkus besteht Verletzungs- und Brandgefahr.
c) Wenn der Akku nicht benutzt wird, halten Sie ihn
von anderen metallischen Gegenständen fern,
wie etwa Büroklammern, Münzen, Schlüssel,
Nägel, Schrauben oder anderen kleinen
Metallgegenständen, die eine Verbindung zwischen
den Polen herstellen können. Das Kurzschließen der
Pole kann Verbrennungen oder Brände verursachen.
d) Bei unsachgemäßer Anwendung kann Flüssigkeit
aus dem Akku austreten; Kontakt vermeiden. Falls
Sie versehentlich mit Akkusäure in Berührung
gekommen sind, spülen Sie mit Wasser. Falls
Akkusäure in die Augen geraten ist, suchen Sie
zudem einen Arzt auf. Aus dem Akku austretende
Flüssigkeit kann Reizungen oder Verätzungen
verursachen.
e) Benutzen Sie keinen Akku oder ein Werkzeug, das
beschädigt oder umgebaut wurde. Beschädigte
oder umgebaute Akkus können sich unvorhergesehen
verhalten, wodurch möglicherweise ein Brand, eine
Explosion oder Verletzung verursacht wird.
f) Akkus oder Werkzeuge vor Feuer oder extremen
Temperaturen schützen. Feuer oder Temperaturen
über 130 °C können eine Explosion verursachen.
g) Befolgen Sie alle Ladeanweisungen und laden
Sie den Akku oder das Werkzeug nicht außerhalb
des Temperaturbereichs auf, der in der Anleitung
angegebenen ist. Das unsachgemäße Auaden oder
Laden außerhalb des angegebenen Temperaturbereichs
kann den Akku beschädigen und die Brandgefahr
erhöhen.
6) REPARATUREN
h) Lassen Sie Ihr Elektrowerkzeug von einer
qualizierten Fachkraft und nur unter Verwendung
baugleicher Ersatzteile reparieren. Nur so kann für die
Sicherheit des Elektrowerkzeugs gesorgt werden.
i) Reparieren Sie unter keinen Umständen
beschädigte Akkus. Akkus sollten ausschließlich
vom Hersteller selbst oder einer autorisierten
Reparaturwerkstatt repariert werden.
