 CoxDENS®FlEx
CoxDENS®FLEX is a flexible flame retardant polypropylene flue
system, especially designed for connection to condensing (W)
gas- and oil fired heating appliances.
Cox Geelen guarantees that this system functions correctly,
provided that the system is installed as described in this
CoxDENS®FLEX Installation Instruction, together with the
installation instructions of the heating appliances and that legal
requirements are taken into consideration.

Bei dem CoxDENS®Flex handelt es sich um ein flexibles Abgassys-
tem aus schwerentflammbarem PolyPropylen, das für den Einsatz in
Verbindung mit kondensierenden gas- oder ölbetriebenen Brenn-
wertgeräten entwickelt wurde. Es eignet sich ausgezeichnet für
die Verwendung in verzogenen Schächten. Wir garantieren für die
richtige Funktion, wenn das System gemäß dieser CoxDENS FLEX
Montageanleitung installiert ist und die Montagevorschriften des Heiz-
gerätes sowie die rechtlichen Anforderungen berücksichtigt werden.

CoxDENS®Flex is een flexibel rookgasafvoersysteem van
vlamdovend polypropyleen, speciaal ontwikkeld voor gebruik
in combinatie met condenserende HR gas- en oliegestookte
verwarmingstoestellen. Cox Geelen garandeert een goede
werking van het systeem, mits geïnstalleerd zoals beschreven
in deze montagehandleiding, de installatievoorschriften van
het verwarmingstoestel en ook de wettelijke eisen in acht zijn
genomen.

CoxDENS®FLEX est un système de conduits flexibles en
polypropylène conçu pour l’évacuation des fumées de chau-
dières à condensation fonctionnant au gaz et au fioul. Cox Ge-
elen garantie le bon fonctionnement de ce système à condition
qu’il soit installé selon les directives stipulées dans nos Instruc-
tions d’Installation, en accord avec les exigences propres à la
chaudière concernée et dans le respect des directives légales.

CoxDENS®Flex è un sistema flessibile di scarico dei gas combusti
realizzato in polipropilene, specificatamente studiato per l’utilizzo in
combinazione con caldaie di riscaldamento a gas ed a olio combu-
stibile di tipo HR (= Alto Rendimento) a condensazione. Cox Geelen
assicura il buon funzionamento del sistema solo a condizione che
la messa in opera avvenga in conformità alle istruzioni e disposizioni
contenute nel presente manuale di installazione, alle disposizioni per
l’installazione della caldaia nonché ai requisiti di legge applicabili.

• Mount the chimney bottom bend support in the
chimney opening by pushing the spigot pin of
the support plate into the 12 mm ∅drilled hole.
• Install the support horizontally and rest the
front on the chimney wall.

• Connect the ‘pull-in tool’ to the end of the
flexible pipe, to enable insertion by pulling
down the chimney. See installation detail 2,
page 18.
• When necessary, it is possible to extend the
flexible pipe by joining additional lengths using
couplings. See installation detail 3, page 20
• An inspection piece can also be added.
• A centralising bracing bracket needs to be
fitted to the flexible pipe at 2 meter spacing.
• Arrange brackets inverted on exible pipe so
as to ease passage down chimney and fix
each bracket with a cable tie.
• At any point where the chimney is staggered,
fit one bracing bracket before and one after
the step.
• Insert the pipe with the necessary bracing
brackets into the chimney.
• Do not grate the exible pipe on sharp edges.
• When the outside temperature is below 5° C
the flexible pipe needs to be warmed up before
installation.
• Feed the rope down chimney and then whilst
feeding in the flex from the top, carefully pull
down the flexible pipe from the bottom chimney
opening. Make sure that sufficient space remains
between the flexible pipe and the support plate
in order to allow fitting of the bottom chimney
bend. Also ensure to leave a min of 200 mm of
flex pipe protruding at the chimney top.
• Detach the pull-in tool, once again exposing
the corrugated flex pipe end.

• Fit the bottom chimney bend on the
support. Make sure that the bend is
positioned centrally in the chimney.
• Smear some of the enclosed lubricant
(acid free) on the o/d of the flex end
connector then push it into the lip-sealed
female socket of the chimney bend.
• Make sure that approx. 200 mm of the
flexible pipe protrudes at the top of the
chimney.
• Saw off excess exible pipe leaving the
correct length. Use a hand saw, cut in a
groove to keep cut square. Remove the
burr.
• Please see expanded installation detail 11,
page 22, for the installation of the chimney
cover.
• Fix the wall plate against the chimney
opening.
• Smear some of the enclosed lubricant onto
the o/d of the protruding male connection
from the bottom chimney bend then push it
into the lip-sealed female socket end of the
rigid PPs pipe.
• Saw the rigid PPs pipe ush with the wall
plate by using a handsaw.
• Now it is possible to connect the concentric
pipe from the boiler,
• And nally mount the identication plate.

Auflageschiene in die vorgesehene Bohrung

• Mit einem Verbindungsstück kann das exible
Abgasrohr, falls notwendig, verlängert werden,
siehe auch Detailbeschreibung Ziffer 3, seite 20.
• Alternativ kann bei Bedarf auch ein
Revisionsstück eingesetzt werden.
• Platzieren Sie auf dem exiblen Rohr
mindestens alle 2 Meter einen Abstandhalter.
• Befestigen Sie den Abstandhalter mit einem
Kabelbinder.
• Montieren Sie vor und nach einem
Schachtversatz einen Abstandhalter.
• Führen Sie das exible Rohr mit den
erforderlichen Abstandhaltern in den Schacht ein.
• Das exible Rohr darf nicht über scharfe
Kanten gezogen werden.
• Bei Temperaturen unter 5° C muß das Material
vor der Montage aufgewärmt werden.
• Ziehen Sie das exible Rohr mit Hilfe der
Einziehhilfe vorsichtig nach unten. Stellen Sie
sicher, dass es ausreichend Platz gibt zwischen
das Flex Rohr und die Auflageschiene, so dass
der Schachtbogen noch installiert werden kann.
Passen Sie auch auf, dass min. 200 mm Flex
Rohr oberhalb der Schornstein austeckt.
• Entfernen Sie die Einziehhilfe, sodass das
Rohrende wieder sichtbar wird.

• Setzen Sie den Stützbogen auf die
Auflageschiene, sodass er in der Mitte des
Schachts sitzt.
• Schmieren Sie den Stützbogen-Adapter
mit dem mitgelieferten Gleitmittel ein.
Schieben Sie danach den Adapter in die
Muffe des Stützbogens von oben ein.
• Beachten Sie, dass an der
Schachtmündung etwa 200 mm des
flexiblen Abgasrohres überstehen.
• Sägen Sie das Rohr in der richtigen
Höhe in einer Rille durch. Verwenden Sie
eine feine Handsäge. Entgraten Sie die
Schnittkante.
• Montieren Sie die Schachtabdeckung wie
in Detailbeschreibung Ziffer 11 dargestellt,
seite 22.

• Monteer de schachtbochtondersteuning in de
schachtopening, door de pen van de steun in
het aangebrachte gat van ∅12 mm te drukken.
• Installeer de steun goed horizontaal en steun
de voorkant af op de schachtmuur.

van een flexibele pijp, zoals in deelmontage 2
(pagina 18) staat aangegeven.
• Met een verbindingsstuk kan – indien dat nodig
is – de exibele pp worden verlengd.

• Indien nodig kan er een inspectiestuk
gemonteerd worden.
• Plaats op de exibele pp om de 2 meter een
afstandhouder.
• Bevestig de afstandhouder met een
kabelbinder.
• Monteer op de plaatsen waar de schacht
verspringt, vóór en ná de sprong een
afstandhouder.
• Voer de exibele pp – met op de vereiste
plaatsen afstandhouders – in de schacht.
• Trek de exibele pp niet over scherpe randen.
• B temperaturen onder de 5° C dient het
materiaal vóór de installatie opgewarmd te
worden.
• Trek de exibele pp met behulp van het
montagetouw gecontroleerd naar beneden.
Zorg ervoor dat tussen de flexibele pijp en
de steun voldoende ruimte overblijft om de
schachtbocht te installeren.
• Demonteer het montagehulpstuk, zodat het
uiteinde van de flexibele pijp weer zichtbaar is.

• Monteer de schachtbocht op de steun,
zodat de schachtbocht in het midden van
de schacht staat.
• Smeer het gladde insteekeinde van de
schachtbocht adapter in met bijgeleverd
glijmiddel. Schuif vervolgens de adapter in
de schachtbocht
• Zorg ervoor dat aan de bovenzde van de
schacht circa 200 mm van de flexibele pijp
uitsteekt.
• Zaag in een ril de exibele pp – op de
juiste hoogte – af. Gebruik hiervoor een
handzaag. Ontbraam de zaagsnede goed.
• Monteer de schoorsteenkap zoals in
deelmontage 11 op pagina 22 staat
aangegeven.
• Bevestig de aansluitplaat tegen de
schachtopening.
• Smeer het insteekeinde van de schachtbocht
in met glijmiddel.
• Schuif vervolgens de starre PPs pp over de
schachtbocht.
• Zaag de starre PPs pp gelk aan de aan-
sluitplaat af. Gebruik hiervoor een handzaag.
• Het is nu mogelk om concentrisch verder te
gaan naar de cv-ketel.
• Breng tenslotte de typeplaat aan.

de coude à la base du conduit de cheminée
en introduisant l’ergot dans un trou ∅12 mm
à percer sur la paroi du fond du conduit et
en posant l’autre extrémité sur le rebord de
l’ouverture de la face avant.

s€• Fixer l’outil de halage à une extrémité du exible
pour permettre de tirer le flexible de haut en
bas dans le conduit de cheminée. Voir le détail
d’installation 2, page 19.
• Il est possible de rallonger le exible en utilisant
l’adaptateur flex-flex. Voir le détail d’installation
3, page 21.
• Un T de visite peut également être ajouté.
• Poser une étoile de centrage tout les 2 mètres
sur le flexible, pointes vers le haut pour faciliter
l’insertion dans le conduit.
• Fixer chaque étoile avec la bride [fournie].
• Fixer une étoile avant et après chaque coude
du conduit.
• Insérer le exible équipé de ses étoiles de
centrage dans le conduit de cheminée en
évitant de l’érafler sur les aspérités du conduit.
• Lorsque la température extérieure est en
dessous 5° C, réchauffer le flexible avant de le
poser.
• Faire descendre la corde de rappel
dans le conduit de cheminée puis haler
précautionneusement le flexible et ses étoiles.
S’assurer qu’il reste un espace suffisant pour
la pose du coude et laisser un minimum de
200 mm de flexible dépasser du haut du
conduit de cheminée.
• Détacher l’outil de halage du exible.

• Poser le coude sur son support. S’assurer
que le coude soit au centre du conduit de
cheminée.
• Enduire l’embout de l’adaptateur de
lubrifiant non acide (lubrifiant fourni) et le
clipser dans le coude.
• Couper droit dans une rainure l’excédent
de flexible en laissant dépasser une
longueur de 200 mm ;
• ébarber.
• Voir le détail d’installation 11, page 23.
• Fixer la plaque sur l’entrée de la
cheminée.
• Lubrier l’embout mâle du coude et y
connecter l’embout femelle d’un conduit PPs
rigide.
• Scier le conduit rigide à ras de la plaque
murale.
• Maintenant connecter le conduit de la
chaudière.
• Enn, poser la plaque d’identication.

• Montare l’elemento di sostegno della curva
nella canna fumaria, spingendo il perno del
sostegno nel foro di 12 mm di diametro, in
precedenza apportato.
• Collocare il sostegno in posizione
perfettamente orizzontale e sorreggere la parte
anteriore addossandola alla parete della canna
fumaria.

s€• Fissare l’accessorio di montaggio all’estremità
di un tubo flessibile, come indicato nel dettaglio
di montaggio 2, pagina 19.
• In caso di necessità utilizzare il giunto di
prolunga per permettere di allungare il condotto
flessibile. Consultare il dettaglio di montaggio 3,
pagna 21.
• Se opportuno è possibile inserire nell’insieme un
elemento d’ispezione.
• Posizionare sul tubo i distanziali ad intervalli di
2 metri.
• I distanziali vanno ssati con fascette per cavi.
• Utilizzare due distanziali nei punti in cui la
canna devia, il primo collocato a monte ed il
secondo a valle della deviazione.
• Introdurre il tubo essibile con i distanziali
correttamente posizionati nella canna fumaria.
• Evitare il contatto fra il tubo e gli spigoli vivi
della muratura.
• Se la temperatura è al di sotto dei 5º è
necessario riscaldare il materiale prima del
montaggio, affinché perda la sua rigidezza.
• Tirare il tubo essibile verso il basso aiutandosi
con la fune di montaggio. Assicurarsi che fra il

• Posizionare la curva sul sostegno, in
modo tale che la curva si trovi al centro
della canna fumaria.
• Lubricare l’estremità liscia (bicchiere) del
giunto della curva utilizzando il lubrificante
a corredo. Inserite quindi il giunto nella
curva.
• Assicurarsi che il tubo essibile sporga per
circa 200 mm oltre il bordo superiore della
canna fumaria.
• Con un seghetto manuale tagliare il tubo
flessibile all’altezza richiesta, il taglio
si effettua in una delle gole. Eliminare
accuratamente le sbavature causate dal
taglio.
• Montare il cappello sulla sommità del
comignolo secondo le modalità descritte
nel dettaglio di montaggio 11, pagina 23.
• Fissare la piastra murale di giunzione
sull’apertura della canna fumaria
• Lubricare l’estremità (giunto femmina) della
curva, utilizzando del lubrificante.
• Far passare sull’estremità della curva il tubo
rigido di PPs.
• Tagliare il tubo rigido di PPs a lo della pias-
tra murale. Utilizzare un seghetto manuale.
• A questo punto sarà possibile procedere ad
effettuare la connessione concentrica con la
caldaia.
• Per ultimo applicare la targhetta identicativa.

previsto de 12 mm ∅.
• Compruebe la horizontalidad del soporte,
aprovechando el muro de la chimenea como
apoyo para la parte frontal.

tubo flexible (ver ensemblaje parcial 2, página

• Los tubos exibles pueden alargarse con ayuda
de la(s) pieza(s) de conexión (ver ensemblaje
parcial 3, página 21).
• Opcionalmente, se puede incorporar una pieza
de “registro”.
• Fe el tubo exible con ayuda de las
abrazaderas a cada dos metros de distancia
entre sí.
• Ate las abrazaderas con ayuda de las bridas
de plástico.
• Justo también antes y después donde la
chimenea sufre un cambio de perfíl, coloque
Vd. unas abrazaderas.
• Con las abrazaderas ya colocadas, introduzca
el tubo flexible en la chimenea.
• ¡Ojo! con posibles cantos cortantes de la
chimenea para que no dañen el tubo.
• Si la temperatura exterior se halla por debajo
de los 5º C., recomendamos precalentar todo
el material.
• Con ayuda de la cuerda, desplace
cuidadosamente el tubo hacia abajo. Tenga en
cuenta que entre el tubo flexible y el soporte
ha de quedar margen suficiente para la
colocación del codo de la chimenea.
• Quite la pieza auxiliar para el montaje, de
manera que el tubo flexible se vuelva visible.

• Fe el codo de la chimenea al soporte de
tal manera que este codo se halle en el
centro de la chimenea.
• Unte con el lubricante suministrado el lado
liso del adaptador del codo, y luego haga
Vd. encajar el adaptador en el codo de la
chimenea.
• Asegúrese de que en la parte superior
de la chimenea sobresalga un trozo de
200mm aprox. del tubo flexible.
• A continuación, y coincidiendo con una
ranura, corte Vd. el tubo flexible a la
medida deseada con la ayuda de una
sierra manual. Quite las rebabas.
• Coloque el capuchón de acuerdo con
el dibujo 11 (página 23) de las presentes
instrucciones.
• Coloque la placa de conexión en la
apertura de la chimenea.
• Unte con el lubricante el lado de ensemblaje
del codo.
• A continuación, coloque la parte rígida del
tubo de PPs en el codo de la chimenea.
• Corte Vd., a la altura de la placa de conexión
y con ayuda de una sierra manual, el tubo
rígido de PPs.
• Ya se puede seguir con el conducto concén-
trico hasta la caldera.
• Finalmente, coloque la pequeña placa de
identificación.

Squeeze pipe end to accept oval shaped plate qinto a

Pull the cord ein order to get the adapter rover the
flexible pipe end.
Make sure that the adapter r completely covers the
pipe end.
Fix the pull-in tool cord tto the loop on the rope e.
Drücken Sie das Rohrende an der Unterseite oval.
Befestigen Sie die Platte qin einer Rille des flexiblen
Abgasrohres w. Schieben Sie den Führungskegel rvon
der Schlaufe eweg und über das flexible Rohrende w.

Click the mounting ring qin the 3th groove of the flexible
pipe. Fit the gasket win the upper groove. Put some
lubricant ron the gasket w.Then click the coupling eon
the mounting ring q.
Achtung: Montagerichtung beachten. Die Abgasrichtung
ist mit einem Pfeil auf dem Bauteil angegeben.
Montieren Sie den Montagering qin die dritte Rille des
flexibelen Rohres. Montieren Sie die Dichtung win die erste
Rille vom Rohrende.Versehen Sie die Lippendichtung r von
Gleitmittel w. Danach schieben Sie das Verbindungsstück e
auf den Montagering qbis er einrastet.
Attentie: Let op de richting van installeren. De pijl op het
product toont de rookgasrichting.
Klik de montagering qin de 3e groef van de flexibele pijp.
Monteer de pakking win bovenste groef. Breng glijmiddel
