Congratulations on becoming part of the Sky family. We are very pleased to welcome you to the
world of Sky and hope that you will enjoy many hours of fantastic flying aboard your Sky Paragliders
harness.
Sky Paragliders is based in the heart of Europe and we pride ourselves on our own, purpose
built, state of the art production facilities in the Czech Republic. Our management and development
teams are located just 19 steps above the glider production facility. This close contact is incredibly
important to us and helps to ensure that our products are of the highest quality possible and with
minimal air miles on our raw materials.

Please read this Manual carefully and note the following details: The purpose of this Manual is to
offer guidelines to the pilot using this harness. We advise that you only fly with this harness when
qualified to do so. Pilots are personally responsible for their own safety and their equipment’s
airworthiness. The use of this harness is solely at the user's own risk! Neither the manufacturer
nor dealer accept any liability connected with this activity. This harness, on delivery, meets all the
requirements of the EN EN 1651 and LTF 91-09 regulations and has an airworthiness certificate
issued by Sky Paragliders. Any alterations to the harness will render its certification invalid.

2. SET UP
2.1. Size Adjustment
PAX is a ‘one size fits all’ unit and the length of the harness
body can be adjusted by the adjuster located under the seat via
the front zip. Adjust according to the passenger height.
Be sure to close the zipper after adjustment. Failure to do so
could affect the efficiency of the air bag protector.
2.2. Lumbar Adjustment
An excessively reclined position reduces stability of the
passenger.
2.3. Shoulder Strap Adjustment
For optimum comfort during take-off and ease of achieving
your preferred flying position the shoulder straps should not
be excessively tight. The straps may appear loose while in the
seated position but some play is required to avoid excessive
strap pressure in the standing position.
2.4. Chest Strap Adjustment
Tightening the chest strap decreases the roll effect. The
passenger may feel more stable in turbulent conditions and the
wing will be more stable in the event of an asymmetric collapse.
Before taking off, do not forget to pre-adjust your chest strap.
This will result in a more comfortable flight.
NOTE: Because the PAX evo is designed as a tandem
passenger harness, it is not equipped with a reserve parachute
container, nor with any attachment for a rescue parachute.

1.1. Product Overview
PAX evo is a harness with an integrated airbag designed for
tandem passengers.
1.2. Certification
PAX evo has passed the certification according to load test EN
1651:1999 and this harness conforms to the testing criteria of
the „Luftfahrt-Bundesamts LTF 91-09 (LTF - Luft Tüchtigkeits
Foderungen, or ”Flying Craft Airworthiness Standard”). Any
alteration of the harness can invalidate all the aforementioned
certifications.
Please note: Use of this harness is at your own risk. Any
liability of the manufacturer or distributor is excluded. The pilot
is responsible for airworthiness of the aircraft. The pilot must
comply with legal regulations.

4.1. Use
PAX evo is made from high tech materials. However, care and
attention should be exercised when using to avoid abnormal
contact with abrasive surfaces. Carabiners require special
attention. If you have suspected any damage, replace them
immediately.
PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS
PARAGLIDING IS AN EXTREMELY DEMANDING SPORT
REQUIRING THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF ATTENTION, JUDGMENT,
MATURITY, AND SELF-DISCIPLINE. EVEN SMALL DETAILS
SHOULD BE CAREFULLY CHECKED BEFORE FLYING.
• Check the carabiners, and make sure that the twist lock
system closes automatically and completely.
• Check the harness buckles; they should lock automatically.
• The pilot in charge should adjust and check the harness
prior to taking off.
TAKE OFF
Before flying it is extremely important to adjust the harness so
that your passenger is fitted correctly and can easily assume a
sitting position when airborne.
1. Put the harness onto the shoulders.
2. Fasten the leg/chest buckle.
3. If necessary, adjust the shoulder straps (the shoulder strap
adjustment depends on the size of the occupant; not too tight
as some free movement is required so that you can run easily).
4. Check that the lumbar straps are adjusted for the preferred
position in flight.
5. Check that the chest strap is pre-adjusted correctly.
6. Ensure that the leg/chest strap buckles are fastened
correctly (closing the buckles incorrectly is a common cause
of accidents).
LANDING
During the final approach, move from the sitting position to the
upright position. This should be done early enough to allow for
sudden loss of height on approach. There is a high risk of spinal
injury in the event of a seated landing. Under no circumstances
become complacent about being equipped with effective
protection.
SAFETY INFORMATION
Flying over water (SIV)
Do not use any kind of air based protection (Bumpair, Cygnus type
Airbag…) under any circumstances if there is a risk of landing in
water. If you land in water using a bumpair, it‘s buoyancy behind
the pilot creates a high risk of the pilot‘s head being pushed under
the water. During SIV or flights over water, we recommend the use
of a life jacket equipped with a collar which will keep the pilot’s
head above water in the event of loss of consciousness.
Landing
Never land in a seated position, it can result in a serious injury, the
protection is not intended to replace landing gear.
4.2. Towing
PAX evo is suitable for towing. The tow bridles should be
attached to the main carabiners. If you have any doubts ask a
qualified towing instructor.
4.3. Maintenance
Maintenance Advice
• The harness should be checked regularly for signs of wear
and damage.
• Any damaged parts should be repaired or replaced by the
manufacturer.
• The carabiners should be replaced every 5 years.
• These carabiners should never be used for anything other
than paragliding (not for climbing, towing etc.).
• All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or
by qualified persons who have been authorized by the
manufacturer, and always using the original materials (thread,
webbing, buckles).
• The zipper fasteners should be lubricated from time to time,
using a silicone spray. The harness may be cleaned using mild
soap and a soft brush. If your harness gets wet, it is advisable
to treat your automatic buckles and carabineers with silicone
grease. This may also be done as a matter of course from
time to time. The airbag protector itself is also protected with
reinforced extra cover which helps reduce damage caused
by any abrasion to which the harness may be subjected. This
cover can be easily replaced due to the Velcro fastening.
5. GUARANTEE
PAX evo is guaranteed for two years against any production
fault since the date of purchase. The guarantee does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect of regular maintenance,
or if the harness is overloaded or misused.
• Damage caused by inappropriate landings.
6. DISPOSAL
Even the best products have a limited service life, and once
your harness reaches this point, it must be disposed of properly.
Please make sure your harness is disposed of in the correct
environmental manner or send it back to Sky Paragliders
for correct disposal. In case of any doubts regarding the
information in the manual, contact your SKY dealer.

Stunden mit fantastischen Flügen genießen werden.
Die Basis von Sky Paragliders liegt im Herzen von Europa und wir sind stolz auf unsere auf dem
neuesten Stand der Technik ausgestatte Produktion in der Tschechischen Republik. Management
und Entwicklungsteams sitzen nur 25 Stufen oberhalb des Produktionsbetriebes. Dieser enge

HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS
Bitte lesen Sie dieses Handbuch sorgfältig durch und beachten Sie die folgenden Details: Der
Zweck dieses Handbuchs besteht darin, den Piloten mit diesem Gurtzeug vertraut zu machen. Wir
empfehlen, dass Sie nur mit diesem Gurtzeug fliegen wenn Sie qualifiziert sind, dies zu tun. Piloten
sind persönlich verantwortlich für ihre eigene Sicherheit und die Lufttüchtigkeit ihrer Ausrüstung.
Die Verwendung dieses Gurtzeugs erfolgt ausschließlich auf eigenes Risiko! Weder die Hersteller

2. INBETRIEBNAHME
2.1. Größenanpassung
PAX evo ist eine Einheitsgröße für alle. Die Länge des
Gurtzeugkörpers kann über den vorderen Reißverschluss unter
dem Sitz eingestellt werden. Passen Sie entsprechend der
Passagierhöhe an.
Achten Sie darauf, den Reißverschluss nach der Einstellung zu
schließen. Andernfalls kann die Effizienz des Airbag-Schutzes
beeinträchtigt werden.
2.2. Einstellung der Seitengurte
Die zurückgelehnte Position verringert die Stabilität des
Passagiers.
2.3. Schultergurteinstellung
Für optimalen Komfort während des Starts und einfaches
Erreichen der bevorzugten Position sollten die Schultergurte
nicht übermäßig fest sein. Die Gurte können im Sitzen locker
erscheinen, aber etwas Spiel ist erforderlich, um übermäßigen
Druck des Gurtes im Stehen zu vermeiden.
2.4. Brustgurteinstellung
Durch das Festziehen des Brustgurtes wird der Rolleffekt
verringert. Der Passagier kann sich in turbulenten Bedingungen
stabiler fühlen, und der Flügel wird im Falle eines einseitigen
Einklappers stabiler. Vergessen Sie nicht, Ihren Brustgurt vor
dem Start einzustellen. Dies führt zu einem bequemeren Flug.
HINWEIS: Da der PAX als Tandemgurtzeug für Passagiere
konzipiert ist, ist er weder mit einem Rettungsschirmkontainer
noch mit einem Zubehör für einen Rettungsschirm ausgestattet.

1.1. Produktübersicht
Das PAX evo ist ein Gurtzeug mit integriertem Airbag für
Tandempassagiere.
1.2. Musterprüfung
Das PAX evo besitzt eine Musterprüfung nach bestandenem
Lasttest der Norm EN 1651:2018 sowie nach den Testkriterien
der LTF 91/09 (LTF – Lufttüchtigkeitsforderungen). Jede
Veränderung am Gurtzeug führt zum Erlöschen der
Musterprüfung.
BITTE BEACHTEN: Die Nutzung dieses Gurtzeugs erfolgt
auf eigene Gefahr. Eine Haftung des Herstellers oder Vertriebs
ist ausgeschlossen. Der Pilot ist verantwortlich für die
Lufttüchtigkeit seiner Flugausrüstung. Der Pilot muss den
gesetzlichen Vorschriften entsprechen.

4.1. Gebrauch
Das PAX evo wird aus High-Tech-Materialien produziert. Dennoch
sind beim Gebrauch Sorgfalt und Aufmerksamkeit erforderlich,
um den Kontakt mit abrasiven Oberflächen (Sand, Steine etc.)
zu vermeiden. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig Ihre Karabiner – beim
Verdacht von Beschädigungen sind diese sofort auszutauschen.
VORFLUGCHECK
GLEITSCHIRMFLIEGEN IST EIN ÄUSSERST
ANSPRUCHSVOLLER SPORT, DER EIN HÖCHSTMASS
AN AUFMERKSAMKEIT, URTEILSVERMÖGEN, REIFE UND
SELBSTDISZIPLIN ERFORDERT. AUCH KLEINSTE DETAILS
SOLLTEN VOR DEM FLUG SORGFÄLTIG ÜBERPRÜFT WERDEN.
• Überprüfen Sie die Karabiner, und stellen Sie sicher, dass
das Twist-Lock-System sich automatisch verschließt.
• Überprüfen Sie die Gurtschlösser. Sie
sollen automatisch sperren.
• Der verantwortliche Pilot sollte das Passagier-Gurtzeug vor
dem Start anpassen.
START
Vor dem Fliegen ist es äußerst wichtig, das Gurtzeug so
einzustellen, dass Ihr Passagier korrekt angegurtet ist und in
der Luft leicht eine sitzende Position einnehmen kann.
1. Legen Sie das Gurtzeug auf die Schultern.
2. Befestigen Sie die Bein- / Brustschnallen.
3. Passen Sie gegebenenfalls die Schultergurte an (die
Einstellung der Schultergurte hängt von der Größe des
Passagiers ab; nicht zu eng, da etwas freie Bewegung
erforderlich ist, damit der Passagier leicht laufen kann).
4. Überprüfen Sie, ob die Lendengurte so eingestellt sind, dass
die bevorzugte Position im Flug möglich ist.
5. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Brustgurt richtig eingestellt ist.6.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schnallen des Bein- / Brustgurtes
richtig geschlossen sind (falsches Schließen der Schnallen ist
eine häufige Unfallursache)
LANDUNG
Der Passagier begibt sich während des Endanflugs aus der
Sitzposition in eine aufrechte Position. Dies sollte früh genug
geschehen, um für einen plötzlichen Höhenverlust gewappnet zu
sein. Es besteht ein hohes Risiko von Rückenmarksverletzungen
bei einem sitzenden Aufprall. Der Passagier darf sich auf keinen
Fall blind auf den effizienten Protektor verlassen.
INFORMATIONEN ZUR SICHERHEIT
Fliegen über Wasser (Sicherheitstraining)
Verwenden Sie keinerlei Art von luftbasiertem Schutz (Bumpair,
Cygnus-Airbag ...), wenn die Gefahr einer Landung im Wasser
besteht. Bei einer Wasserung mit Airbag bewirkt dieser einen
Auftriebsschwerpunkt hinter dem Piloten, wodurch ein hohes
Risiko entsteht, dass der Kopf des Piloten unter Wasser
gedrückt wird. Bei Sicherheitstrainings oder Flügen über Wasser
empfehlen wir die Verwendung einer Rettungsweste mit Kragen,
die den Kopf des Piloten bei Bewusstlosigkeit über Wasser hält.
Landung
Landen Sie nie in einer sitzenden Position; dies kann zu
schweren Verletzungen führen - ein Rückenprotektor ist nicht
dafür gedacht, das Fahrwerk zu ersetzen.
4.2. Windenstart
Das PAX Evo eignet sich auch für den Windenstart. Die
Schleppklinke ist dafür an den Hauptkarabinern anzubringen.
Bei Fragen wenden Sie sich an einen qualifizierten Windenfahrer.
4.3. Instandhaltung
Wartungshinweise
• Der Gurt sollte regelmäßig auf Anzeichen von
Verschleiß und Beschädigungen überprüft werden.
• Die Karabiner sollten alle 5 Jahre ausgetauscht werden.
• Diese Karabiner dürfen nie für etwas anderes
als Gleitschirmfliegen verwendet werden
(nicht zum Klettern, Abschleppen usw.)
• Alle Reparaturen sollten nur vom Hersteller oder von
qualifizierten Personen, die vom Hersteller autorisiert
wurden, und immer mit den ursprünglichen Materialien
(Nähfaden, Gurtband, Schnallen) durchgeführt werden.
• Die Reißverschlüsse sollten von Zeit zu Zeit
mit einem Silikonspray geölt werden.
• Der Gurt kann mit milder Seife und einer weichen
Bürste gereinigt werden. Wenn Ihr Gurtzeug nass
wird, ist es ratsam, Ihre Automatikschnallen und
Karabiner mit Silikonfett zu behandeln. Dies kann auch
als regelmäßige Instandhaltung gemacht werden.
5. GARANTIE
Das PAX evo unterliegt einer Garantie gegen Fabrikationsfehler
von zwei Jahren ab dem Zeitpunkt der Auslieferung. Diese
Garantie deckt nicht:
• Schäden aufgrund von Missbrauch, Vernachlässigung
der Wartung oder Überladung.
• Schäden aufgrund missglückter Landungen.
6. ENTSORGUNG
Auch das beste Produkt hat eine begrenzte Lebensdauer und wenn
Ihr Gurtzeug diesen Punkt erreicht hat, sollte es fachgerecht entsorgt
werden. Bitte sorgen Sie für eine umweltgerechte Entsorgung Ihres
Gurtzeuges oder geben Sie es zur Entsorgung an Sky Paragliders zurück.

do světa našich výrobků a věříme, že vám naše sedačka poskytne spoustu jedinečných zážitků.
Sky Paragliders sídlí, vyvíjí a vyrábí v České republice ve vlastních prostorách speciálně
navržených pro paraglidingovou výrobu. Technologické a vývojové oddělení dělí přesně 19 schodů
od výrobních prostor. Díky tomu můžeme udržet vysokou kvalitu výrobního procesu a postarat se
o to, aby všechny naše nápady byly s výrobou úzce propojeny a výrobky před tím, než se dostanou

UPOZORNĚNÍ
Přečtěte si prosím pečlivě tuto příručku a seznamte se se všemi podrobnosti. Smyslem této
příručky je usnadnit pilotům první lety v sedačce. Doporučujeme létat s touto sedačkou pouze
v případě, že máte platnou pilotní kvalifikaci. Piloti jsou osobně zodpovědní za svou bezpečnost
a letovou způsobilost svého vybavení. Piloti používají tento postroj výlučně na vlastní nebezpečí!
Ani výrobce ani prodejce nenese odpovědnost za nevhodné používání sedačky. Tento postroj
v okamžiku dodání splňuje všechny požadavky předpisů EN 1651 a LTF a má certifikát letové
způsobilosti vydaný firmou Sky Paragliders. Jakékoli změny na postroji automaticky pozbývají
certifikace.

2. NASTAVENÍ
2.1. Nastavení velikosti sedačky
PAX evo je sedačka univerzální velikosti, která se přizpůsobí

Nastavovací mechanismus je umístěný v prostoru pod sedací
deskou, přístupný přes zip v přední části postroje (viz. Schéma).
Nastavte délku zad dle výšky pasažéra. Ujistěte se, že jste po
dokončení nastavení zapnuli zip! Nezapnutí zipu může mít vliv
na účinnost Airbagu, který chrání páteř pasažéra.
2.2. Seřízení bočních popruhů
Uvědomte si prosím, že poloha příliš „vleže“ snižuje stabilitu
pasažéra.
2.3. Nastavení ramenních popruhů
Pro pohodlí během vzletu a snadné dosažení preferované letové
pozice by ramenní popruhy neměly být příliš těsně utaženy.
Ramenní popruhy se mohou jevit volné při poloze v sedě, je
však potřeba mít na paměti, že při přílišném utažení může
docházet k nežádoucímu nadměrnému tlaku popruhů při pozici
ve stoje.
2.4. Nastavení hrudního popruhu
Utažení hrudního pásu snižuje efekt podélného pohybu. Pasažér
může pociťovat vyšší stabilitu v turbulentních podmínkách
a křídlo bude také stabilnější v případě asymetrického kolapsu.
Před startem nezapomeňte přednastavit hrudní popruh. Bude
to mít za následek větší pohodlí za letu.
UPOZORNĚNÍ: PAX evo je konstruován jako sedačka pro
pasažéry tandemových letů. Není proto vybaven kontejnerem
pro záložní padák ani závěsy pro uchycení záložního padáku.

1.1. Popis produktu
PAX evo je sedačka s integrovaným airbagem určená pro
tandemové pasažéry.
1.2. Certifikace
PAX evo je certifikováný postroj podle zátěžového testu EN
1651:1999 a splňuje testovací kritéria the „LuftfahrtBundesamts
LTF 91-09 (LTF - Luft Tüchtigkeits Foderungen)“. Jakákoli změna
postroje automaticky pozbývá výše uvedené certifikace.
Poznámka: Piloti používají tento postroj výlučně na vlastní
nebezpečí! Ani výrobce ani prodejce nenese odpovědnost za
nevhodné používání sedačky. Piloti jsou osobně zodpovědní za
svou bezpečnost a letovou způsobilost svého vybavení. Piloti
mohou létat s touto sedačkou pouze v případě, že mají platnou
pilotní kvalifikaci.

4. POUŽITÍ A ÚDRŽBA
SEDAČKY
4.1. Použití
PAX evo je vyrobena z technických materiálů. I přesto je třeba
se vyhnout kontaktu sedačky s drsným povrchem. Karabiny si
vyžadují speciální pozornost. Pokud máte podezření na jejich
poškození, okamžitě je vyměňte.

DROBNOSTI.
• Zkontrolujte karabiny a ujistěte se, že jsou automaticky
uzavřeny systémem Twist lock.
• Zkontrolujte spony na nosném postroji, měly by se
automaticky uzamknout.
• Pilot zodpovědný za pasažéra musí seřídit sedačku podle
velikosti pasažéra (viz. kapitola – Nastavení sedačky).
Zkontrolujte všechna nastavení.
START
Před letem je velmi důležité přizpůsobit postroj tak, abyste
v něm mohli snadno zaujmout letovou pozici hned po startu.
1. Nasaďte si postroj.
2. Zapněte nožní/hrudní spony.
3. Pokud je to nutné, upravte ramenní popruhy. Nastavení
ramenního popruhu závisí na výšce pasažéra (popruhy utáhněte
tak, aby Vám při startu nebránily v pohybu).
4. Zkontrolujte zda jsou boční popruhy upraveny tak, aby
poskytovaly pohodlnou pozici za letu.
5. Zkontrolujte, zda je správně nastaven hrudní popruh.
6. Ujistěte se, že spony nožního/hrudního popruhu jsou správně
uzavřeny (nesprávné uzavření spon je častou příčinou nehod).
PŘISTÁNÍ
V průběhu přiblížení na přistání přejděte ze sedu do vzpřímené
polohy. Toto by mělo být provedeno s dostatečným předstihem,
aby bylo možné předejít případným komplikacím při náhlé ztrátě
výšky těsně před přistáním. Při přistání v sedě existuje vysoké
riziko poranění páteře. Za žádných okolností nespoléhejte na to,
že je sedačka vybavena chráničem.
BEZPEČNOSTNÍ INFORMACE
Létání nad vodou (SIV)
Použití sedačky PAX evo není vhodné v případě, že existuje riziko
přistání ve vodě. Při přistání ve vodě s tímto typem chrániče vzniká
vysoké riziko, že vztlak chrániče za zády pilota bude tlačit jeho hlavu
pod vodu. Během SIV nebo letů nad vodou také doporučujeme
použití záchranné vesty vybavené límcem, který udrží hlavu pilota
nad hladinou i v případě náhlé ztráty vědomí.
Přistání
Nikdy nepřistávejte v poloze vsedě, může to mít za následek vážná
zranění. Chránič není pro takováto přistání určen.
4.2. Vlekání
PAX evo je vhodná i pro vlekání. Odpínák pro vlekání by měl
být připevněn k hlavním karabinám. Pokud máte pochybnosti,
požádejte o pomoc kvalifikovaného instruktora.
4.3. Údržba
Tipy pro údržbu
• Postroj je třeba pravidelně kontrolovat, zda nejeví známky
opotřebení či poškození.
• Poškozené části musí být opraveny nebo vyměněny výrobcem.
• Karabiny by měly být vyměňovány každých 5 let.
• Karabiny sedačky by nikdy neměly být použity k jiným účelům
než paraglidingu (horolezectví, tažení atd.).
• Veškeré opravy musí být prováděny výrobcem nebo výrobcem
pověřenou kvalifikovanou osobou a to vždy
s použitím originálních materiálů (šňůry, popruhy, přezky).
• Zipové části by měly být čas od času promazány pomocí
silikonového spreje. Postroj lze čistit pomocí měkkého kartáčku
a mýdla. Pokud Vám sedačka zmokne, je vhodné ošetřit
automatické spony a karabiny silikonovým sprejem. Tato péče
může být samozřejmě čas od času prováděna bez ohledu na
podmínky, ve kterých létáte.
5. ZÁRUKA
Na PAX evo je poskytována standardní záruka na jakoukoliv
výrobní vadu po dobu 2 let od data prodeje koncovému
zákazníkovi.
Záruka se nevztahuje na:
• Poškození způsobené nesprávným zacházením, nedbalostí,
nedostatečnou údržbou nebo přetížením (extrémní manévry).
• Na škody způsobené nesprávným přistáním.
6. LIKVIDACE
I ty nejlepší výrobky mají omezenou životnost, a proto, jakmile
váš postroj dospěje do tohoto bodu, musí být řádně zlikvidován.
Prosím zajistěte, aby byl váše sedačka byla zlikvidována
správným způsobem vůči životnímu prostředí nebo jej pošlete
zpět do Sky Paragliders a my to uděláme za vás.
