Quick Start Guide
Preparing
1 Metre
3 Feet
Ensure there is a
minimum of 1 metre (3
feet) of clear space all
around the fan.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that no
items can block the air intake
on the back of your fan.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that
the power cable is not a trip
hazard.
Slot the tabs on the
bottom of the prefilter
into the slots (1). Push the
top inwards to lock (2).
Push the top of the air
intake panel back onto
the base of the fan.
Push the bottom of the
air intake panel onto the
bottom of the fan.
Pull the air intake panel
off the base of the fan.
Pull the prefilter out of
the base of the fan.
Slot the HEPA filter into base
of the fan.
IMPORTANT: Please read the Important Safeguards before using your appliance.
Repeat the process for the other side of the fan

Controls
Thermal safety cutout
Your fan is fitted with an internal thermal safety switch. This will stop the fan from operating if
the internal temperature exceeds the normal operating temperature. If this happens refer to the
‘Thermal Safety Cutout’ on page 9.
Plug the fan into a mains socket and turn the power on if required and fit the batteries into the
remote control.
BUTTON FUNCTION
POWER: Turn the fan ON / Turn OFF.
ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS: Set wind speed / Adjust timing.
OSC: Use to change the angle of rotation of the top of the fan.
MODE: Use to select the desired wind speed, day wind (12 speeds, indicator
light is on) / sleep wind (3 speeds, indicator light is on) / baby wind (2 speeds,
indicator light is on).
TIMER: Use to set the running time of the fan when it will automatically turn on or
off.
SMARTWIND: Use to set the temperature of the air coming out of the fan.
± ION: Use to ionised the air coming out of the fan.
LIGHT: Use to turn the ambient light on or off.

Thermal safety switch
Your fan is fitted with an internal thermal safety switch. This will stop the fan from
operating if the internal temperature exceeds the normal operating temperature.
IF YOUR FAN SHUTS DOWN
• Turn the fan off by removing the plug from the mains socket.
• Leave the fan to cool for approximately 10 minutes or until the fan feels cool.
• Plug the fan back into the mains socket and turn on as usual.

Control Panel & Remote Control Icons
CONTROL PANEL REMOTE CONTROL
POWER: Turn the fan ON / Turn OFF.
ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS: Set wind speed / Adjust timing.
OSC: Use to change the angle of rotation of the top of the fan.
MODE: Use to select the desired wind speed, day wind
(12 speeds, indicator light is on) / sleep wind (3 speeds,
indicator light is on) / baby wind (2 speeds, indicator light
is on).
TIMER: Use to set the running time of the fan when it will
automatically turn on or off.
SMARTWIND: The wind speed automatically adjusted
according to the change of room temperature.
± ION: Use to ionised the air coming out of the fan.
LIGHT: Use to turn the ambient light on or off.

Preparing The Remote Control
Press down on the top of the battery
compartment cover and side down as
far as it will go.
Lift the battery compartment cover off
the remote control.
Insert two AAA batteries (not included)
into the battery compartment.
Ensure the + and – ends of the battery
are correctly aligned with the marks on
the inside of the battery compartment.
Place the battery compartment cover
back onto the remote control.
Slide the battery compartment cover
up until it locks in place.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The remote control should be used within
5 meters of the front of the fan and at an angle of no more than 30º of the
display on the front of the fan.

Fitting the HEPA filters
Before using your fan for the first time,
you will need to fit the HEPA filters.
Remove the packaging from the HEPA
filters.
Pull the bottom edge of one of the air
intake panels on the sides of the fan
outwards to unlock.
Pull the top of the panel away from the
fan to completely remove the panel.
Grip the tabs on the sides of the
prefilter and pull towards yourself to
remove the filter from the fan.

Slot the HEPA filter into the housing as
shown in the diagram.
Slot the prefilter back into the housing
by slotting the tabs at the bottom of
the filter into the holes in the base (1).
Now push the top of the prefilter
inwards (2) until it locks in place.
Slot the air intake panel back onto
the base of the fan and push the top
corners in to lock in place (1).
Push the bottom of the air intake panel
inwards to lock in place (2).
IMPORTANT: Repeat the process on
the other side of the fan.

Preparing Your Fan
Place your fan in the room you wish to
use it in with a minimum of 1 metre (3
feet) of clear space around base.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that no items can
block the air intake panels on the base
of your fan, such as curtains, fabric
covers or furniture.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the power
cable is positioned so that it does not
present a trip hazard on the floor or
can be snagged and accidently pulled
off a raised surface.

Using Your Fan
Slot the plug into a mains socket and
press the power switch on the socket
to the on position if required.
Turning the fan ON and OFF
Control panel: Press the button to
turn the fan on and off.
Remote control: Press the button to
turn the fan on and off.
Using the Smartwind function
The SMARTWIND function will
automatically adjust the speed and
volume of air the fan will emit. When
it is hotter the speed and volume of
air will increase and when colder the
volume and speed of air will decrease.
Press the button on the control
panel to activate.

Using the ±Ion function
The ionizer function emits positive and
negative ions into the air as a means of
sterilizing the air of contaminants.
Press the ±ION button to turn the
ionizer on.
You can adjust the power of the fan
when in Smartwind function by either
pressing the button on the control
panel or the button on the remote
control.
The following icons will be shown on
the display:
: Day wind speed
: Sleep wind speed
: Baby wind speed
Using the light function
Press the light button to turn the
ambient light on the fan.

Using the startup timer
When in the Standby mode, press the
button on either the control panel
or the remote control. Use the –or +
buttons on the control panel or remote
control to enter the amount of hours
you want before the fan starts up.
Note: If the timer is set to 0h the timer
will not work. The maximum you can
set is 12 hours.
After a few seconds of not pressing any
button you will hear a beep, you can
now enter the mode you want the fan
to use.
After a few seconds of not pressing
any button you will hear a beep, the
timer is now set and will turn the fan on
when the timer has counted down.
Using the shutdown timer
When the fan is switched on, press the
button on either the control panel
or the remote control. Use the –or +
buttons to enter the amount of time
you want the fan to stay on for.
After a few seconds you will hear a
beep, the timer is now set.

Using the mode function
Use the mode function to select from
the 3 preset fan speeds.
: Day wind speed
: Sleep wind speed
: Baby wind speed
Press the button on either the
control panel or the button on the
remote control.
Using the oscillation function
The oscillation function sets the
amount the fan can rotate when in use.
Press the button on either the
control panel or the remote control.
You can set the amount of oscillation to
0º, 30º, 60º or 120º by pressing the
button on the control panel or remote
control multiple times.
Note: When you press the button
it will go from 30º to 0º to 60º etc.,
continue to press the button until you
have the degree of rotation you want.
The angle of oscillation will be show on
the display.

Replacing the filter
IMPORTANT: You can continue to use
the fan without changing the filters.
You can also use the fan with no HEPA
filters fitted.
If the filter replacement light on the
display lights up the HEPA filters can
be replaced.
To change the filters follow the
information on pages 13 and 14.
After changing the filters turn the fan
on and press and hold the ±ION
button for 3 seconds to turn the filter
replacement light off.
Manually adjusting the power
of the fan
When the fan is running, you can
change the power of the fan by
pressing the –or +buttons on the
control panel or the remote control.
Each preset fan speed can be adjusted
as shown below.
: Speed 1 to 12
: Speed 1 to 3
: Speed 1 to 2
