Mount in a posion that does not receive direct sunlight and
will not detect moon that is not desired to detect (Ex. outdoor
moon)

ZBMS3 must be installed indoors
Joining the ZBMS3 to the Network
Open a ZigBee router or coordinator to permit joining of your ZBMS3 to the network.
LED will blink 5 mes when it joins to a network (look for CIE registraon blinks aer the joining indicaon, refer to next secon)
Register to ZigBee CIE (oponal, if available)
Registraon to CIE device is done automacally right aer the ZBMS3 joins the network.
2 blinks on Status LED indicates no CIE was found to register to
6 blinks indicates successful enrollment
4 blinks indicates enrollment failure

ZigBee Wireless Moon Sensor with Temperature
The ZBMS3 is an advanced moon sensor that senses
and reports moon, reports temperature, and can
turn ZigBee devices on and o based on ambient light
condions.
This moon sensor can be used as a ZigBee IAS (Intruder
Alarm System) sensor and can be registered to a CIE
(Control & Indicang Equipment) device and/or bound to
an On/O device to simply turn a light on when moon
is detected.

Bind ZBMS3 to Temperature device
Take note...
Bind ZBMS3 to a ZigBee On/O device to turn ON the device whenever moon is sensed and the ambient light is below
the set threshold. The moon sensor will turn OFF the device when moon is not seen for 30 seconds.
Tap Program Buon on ZBMS3 twice within 5 seconds of each tap
Put the On/O device you want to bind to into binding mode according to its instrucons

The ZBMS3 will report temperature measurements every 3 minutes. If another reporng interval is needed, the device
must rst be bound to a ZigBee device (typically the coordinator/gateway) with the Temperature Measurement Cluster
and then congured to report the desired interval.
Tap Program Buon on ZBMS3 three mes within 5 seconds of each tap
Put the On/O device you want to bind to into binding mode according to its instrucons

The ZBMS3 is a ZigBee end device and takes various measures to conserve baery (even if DC powered)
The device will be inacve for 1 minute aer joining the network
Aer sensing moon once, the ZBMS3 will not send another report for 30 seconds
