This app iance is tagged in accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste E ectrica and
E ectronic Equipment - WEEE.
This directive contains the regu ations governing the co ection and recyc ing of decommissioned app iances
throughout the European Union.
The symbo of the rubbish bin with a ine through it on the app iance or its packaging indicates that the prod-
uct must be disposed of separate y from other waste at the end of its ife cyc e. The user is thus ob iged to
consign scrapped app iances to the specia e ectronic and e ectrotechnica waste disposa centres, or return
them to the dea er on purchase of a simi ar new app iance, on a one-to-one basis.
Consignment to the appropriate faci ity for environmenta y responsib e recyc ing, treatment and disposa
he ps to prevent any negative effects on the environment and hea th, and encourages the reuse and/or recy-
c ing of the app iance’s component materia s.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
Attention!
You are advised to read all the instructions in this manual carefully; it will inform you about
the right conditions for the proper, safe use of your washer-dryer
It is very important to eep this instruction manual with the appliance for future reference.
In the event of sale or transfer, ensure that the manual always accompanies the appli-
ance, to provide the necessary information about its use.
1. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY AND USE
Attention!
These recautions are detailed for reasons of safety.
This section must be read carefully before installation and use.
Disposing of packaging
• Never eave packaging residues unattended in the home. Separate waste packaging materia s by
type and consign them to the nearest recyc ing centre.
• Packaging materia s (p astic bags, po ystyrene, etc.) must not be eft within reach of chi dren.
Disposing of old appliances
• Once no longer in use, a liances must be rendered unusable: ermanently disarm the
lock on the door (this will revent children risking their lives by locking themselves inside
during lay) and cut the ower su ly lead after removing the lug from the socket.
The a liance must be delivered to a recycling facility.
Environmental protection
• Use the who e of the maximum recommended capacity. Never exceed the maximum permitted
oad.
• Do not use the prewash function for ight y or norma y soi ed items.
• Fo ow the manufacturer's recommendations on detergent usage.
• Use the highest spin speed permitted for the fabric type. Fast spins reduce the drying time and
thus energy consumption.
Safet instructions
• This app iance is intended for domestic use and is comp iant with Directives 72/23/EEC and
89/336/EEC (inc uding Directives 92/31/EEC and 93/68/EEC) current y in force.
• Read a the instructions in this manua carefu y before insta ation and use.
• Check that the drum assemb y has been re eased before use (see instructions). Fai ure to re ease
the drum assemb y may cause damage to the washer-dryer and the surrounding furniture or app i-
ances during the spin cyc e.
• This Instruction Manua is an integra part of the app iance: it must a ways be kept intact with the
app iance. Insta ation must be carried out by qua ified staff in comp iance with the re evant regu a-
tions. The app iance is bui t to provide the fo owing functions: washing and drying of c othes or
fabrics stated to be suitab e for machine washing by the producer on the re evant abe . A other
uses are to be considered improper. The manufacturer declines all liability for uses other than
those stated above.
• The namep ate with the technica data, seria number and mark is in a visib e position in the part in
view after the door has been opened. The name late must never be removed.
• The electrical and lumbing works required to install the a liance must only be carried out
by skilled staff.
• The app iance must be connected to earth in comp iance with e ectrica system safety regu ations.
The manufacturer declines all liability for direct or indirect injury or damage deriving from a
non-existent or defective earth connection.
• In the event that the app iance is not connected by means of a p ug, an omnipo ar circuit-breaker
device with contact gap of at east 3 mm must be provided.
• The p ug to be connected to the power supp y ead and the re ative socket must be of the same
type and comp y with the re evant regu ations. Check that the mains vo tage and frequency are the

same as the va ues marked on the namep ate. The use of adapters or junctions is not recom-
mended. Never disconnect the p ug by pu ing on the power supp y ead.
• The a liance is only disconnected from the electricity su ly if the lug has been removed
from the socket or the electrical system master switch has been turned off. The ower lug
must be accessible after the a liance has been installed.
• The app iance must be insta ed using new sets of hoses (supp ied with the app iance). O d hose
sets shou d not be reused.
• Take care that the app iance is not standing on the power supp y cab e.
• The washer-dryer must never be used on vehic es, on board ships or p anes, or in environments
with hazards, such as exp osive or corrosive environments (powders, vapours and gases) or ex-
p osive and/or corrosive iquids,
• Do not insta the washer-dryer in p aces with a risk of frost. Frozen pipes may burst under the
pressure.
• Make sure that the drain hose connected to the sink is securely fastened and cannot move.
• If it is not fixed in p ace, the repu sive force of the water might thrust it away from the sink, causing
the risk of flooding.
• When connecting the hose to a sink also check that the water drains from it quickly, as other-
wise the sink may overflow.
• Do not over oad the app iance.
• Never use detergents which contain so vents or chemica s for washing in the washer-dryer. They
might damage the a liance and form oisonous va ours. These fumes might also catch
fire and ex lode.
• Garments soaked in petro eum products must not be washed in the washing machine. Before
washing, check that garments do not contain inf ammab e devices (e.g. cigarette- ighters, matches,
etc.)
• If vo ati e c eaning f uids are used, ensure that these substances have been removed from the
garments before they are p aced in the app iance.
• Before oading garments for washing, check that the pockets are empty, buttons secure and zips
fastened.
• Do not wash frayed or torn garments.
• During washing at high temperatures, the g ass in the door wi become very hot.
• Check that all water has been drained from the a liance before o ening the door.
• If there is water inside, pump it out before opening the door. If in doubt, read the instruction manu-
a .
• The water in the a liance is not suitable for drinking!
• Swa owing washing machine detergents may injure the mouth and throat.
• Before removing the garments from the washer-dryer check that the drum is at a standstill.
• Switch the app iance off after each use to avoid wasting e ectricity.
• Leave the door ajar between washes to keep the gasket in good condition.
• In the event of a ma function never attem t to re air the a liance yourself. Disconnect the ap-
p iance from the e ectricity supp y and turn off the water tap. Then contact a qua ified engineer.
Re airs must only be carried out by qualified staff.
• The a liance is intended for use by adults. Do not a ow chi dren to tamper with the washer-
dryer's contro s or p ay with it and do not kee children in the vicinity while the rogramme is
in rogress.
• Young anima s or sma chi dren might c imb into the washer-dryer .
• A ways check the inside of the drum before use and do not allow children to lay with the a -
liance.
• Keep chi dren away from the app iance when the door or the detergent drawer is open; the app i-
ance might contain detergent residues which may cause permanent injury to the eyes, mouth and
throat, or even cause death by suffocation.
• The app iance is not intended for use by persons (inc uding chi dren) with reduced physica , senso-
ry or menta capabi ities, or ack of experience and know edge, un ess they have been given su-
pervision or instruction concerning use of the app iance by a person responsib e for their safety.
• That the tumb e dryer is not to be used if industria chemica s have been used for c eaning
• That int must not be a owed to accumu ate around the tumb e dryer
• Do not dry unwashed items in the tumb e dryer
• Items that have been soi ed with substances such as cooking oi , acetone, petro , kerosene, spot
removers, turpentine, waxes and wax removers shou d be washed in hot water with an extra
amount of detergent before being dried in the tumb e dryer

• Items such as foam rubber ( atex foam), shower caps, waterproof texti es, rubber backed artic es
and c othes or pi ows fitted with foam rubber pads shou d not be dried in the tumb e dryer
• Fabric softeners, or simi ar products, shou d be used as specified by the fabric softener instruc-
tions.
• The fina part of a tumb e dryer cyc e occurs without heat (coo down cyc e) to ensure that the
items are eft at a temperature that ensures that the items wi not be changed
• Never stop a tumb e drier before the end of the drying cyc e un ess a items are quick y removed
and spread out so that the heat is dissipated
• Do not store f ammab e f uids near the app iance.

• If the app iance is not to be used for a engthy period it shou d be disconnected from the e ectricity
and water supp ies and the door shou d be eft ajar to prevent unp easant sme s from bui ding up
inside.

before putting it into operation.
The manua provides the correct instructions for insta ation, use and maintenance, as we as giving
usefu advice.

Fuse rep acement
If the mains ead of this app iance is fitted with a
BS 1363A 13am fused p ug, to change a fuse in
this type of p ug use an A.S.T.A. approved fuse to
BS 1362 type and proceed as fo ows:
1. Remove the fuse cover (A) and fuse (B)
2. Fit rep acement 13A fuse into fuse cover
3. Refit both into p ug
Im ortant:
The fuse cover must be refitted when changing a
fuse and if the fuse cover is ost the p ug must not
be used unti a correct rep acement is fitted.
Correct rep acement are identified by the co our
insert or the co our embossed in words on the
base of the p ug.
Rep acement fuse covers are avai ab e from your
oca e ectrica store.
If the app iance is provided with a p ug ess supp y cord:
• It is necessary to insta in the fixed wiring an a -po e disconnection device having a gap be-
tween contacts of at east 3,5mm. After insta ation the disconnection device has to be easy to
reach.
• The connection to the mains must be carried out by a qua ified technician in accordance to the
scheme shown be ow and the regu ations in force

thorized technica service center in order to avoid any risk.

The manufacturer declines all responsibilit for injury or damage caused by fai ure to
comp y with the above regu ations or deriving from tampering with even just one part of the
app iance and the use of non-origina spare parts.
2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Important!
The a liance must be installed by a qualified engineer in com liance with the relevant regulations.
The washer-dryer is heavy. Take care when lifting it.
2.1 UNPACKING
The unit on f exib e mounts is fixed in p ace for transport using the screws (A) on the rear of the washer-dryer, with
the re ative p astic spacers (B). Once the screws have been removed, the power supp y ead can be used.

Warning!
• Do not turn the app iance upside-down or p ace it on its sides.
• A the transport retainer fittings shou d be kept in a safe p ace; they must be fitted again if the app iance has to
be moved around in the future.

2.2 POSITIONING AND LEVELLING

vided.
3. On app iances with adjustable rear feet, note that the rear of the app iance rests on skids and not on the feet.
Before inserting the app iance into its p ace between the kitchen units, check that the rear feet are screwed fu -
y in to prevent damage as the app iance is shifted into position.
Once the app iance is in position in the kitchen, the height of the rear feet has to be increased so that the ap-
p iance no onger stands on the skids. After adjusting the rear feet, eve the app iance and fix the front feet at
the height required.
The water intake and drain hoses can be fitted pointing to the eft or right for effective insta ation.
Warning!
• This o eration must be carried out with care to revent the washer-dryer from vibrating, moving or
generating excessive noise during use.
• If the a liance is installed on a car eted floor, take care to ensure that the o enings in the bottom of
the washer-dryer are not obstructed.
• A so check that during operation the washer-dryer is not resting against wa s, kitchen units, etc.
• The app iance must not be insta ed behind a door with ock, a s iding door, or a door with hinge on the oppo-
site side.

2.3 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY
1. Check that the water supp y pressure is in the fo owing range: 0,05-0,9MPa. With
higher pressures, use a pressure reducer.
2. Connect the cold water supp y hose (blue screw co ar) to the co d water tap with ¾
gas threaded connector, taking care to tighten firm y to prevent eaks. The water sup-
p y hose must not be kinked or crushed and must not be changed or cut. Threaded
connections must on y be tightened by hand.
3. When app iances are supp ied with hot water, the intake water temperature must not
exceed 60°C and the hose with red screw co ar must be connected to the hot water supp y tap.
Warning!
• If the connection is made to new pipe ines, or ines which have been out of use for a ong time, a ow a con-
siderab e amount of water to f ow out before connecting the intake hose. This prevents any sand or other dirt
from fou ing the fi ters insta ed in the app iance to protect the water intake va ves.
• The new intake hose supp ied with the app iance must be used, and the o d water supp y hose must not be
used.
2.4 CONNECTING TO THE DRAIN
1. Insert the end of the drain hose into a drain pipe having inside diameter of at east 4 cm, at east 50 to 90 cm
above f oor eve , or connect it secure y (using the p astic fitting on the e bow in the hose) to a sink or bathtub.
2. In a cases, check that the end of the drain hose is secure y fixed to prevent the repu sive force of the water
from pushing it out of p ace.
Warning!
• Avoid kinks or restrictions to ensure effective drainage.
• Any drain hose extensions must be no more than 1 metre ong, must be of the same diameter and must be
free from restrictions of a kinds.
• The end of the drain hose must never be submerged in water.
2.5 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Before connecting the p ug to the power socket ensure that:
1. The e ectrica system vo tage is the same as that stated on the namep ate on the front of the app iance,
in the zone visib e when the door is open. The rated power supp y and the fuses required are specified
on the namep ate.
2. The meter, safety breakers, power supp y ine and power socket are rated to withstand the maximum
oad required, stated on the namep ate.
3. The power supp y socket and the p ug fitted to the app iance are compatib e without the use of reduc-
tions, mu tip e sockets, adapters and extension eads which might cause overheating or scorching.
If the power supp y socket is not compatib e with the p ug supp ied, rep ace the socket with one of the
appropriate type.
Warning
• The power p ug must be accessib e after the app iance has been insta ed.
• It is absolutely essential to connect the a liance to earth. Connect the p ug to a socket with an earth
connection in good working order.
The manufacturer declines all liability for direct or indirect injury or damage deriving from a non-existent
or defective earth connection. Correct electrical connection guarantees conditions of maximum safety.
• This app iance is comp iant with the requirements of EEC directive 89/336 of 3.5.89 (inc uding the amend-
ment directive 92/31/EEC) concerning the e imination of radio-frequency disturbance.
• If the power supp y ead is damaged, it must on y be rep aced with an origina spare, avai ab e from the After-
Sa es Service.

• Do not connection/disconnect the ower su ly lug from the socket with wet hands
• Only disconnect the ower su ly lug from the socket by taking hold of the lug itself, never by
ulling on the lead.

4. USING THE APPLIANCE FOR WASHING
4.1 PREPARING THE ITEMS FOR WASHING
1. Subdivide the items for washing by fabric type and co our fastness.
2. Wash white and co oured items separate y. New co oured items shou d be washed separate y the first time.

Warning!
• Do not wash unhemmed or torn items as they may fray.
• Unre ated items in the wash may damage the garments or parts of the washer-dryer. So: empty pockets and
turn them inside-out, and remove whee s from curtains or wrap them in a mesh bag.
• Wash very sma items (be ts, handkerchiefs, socks, padded bras, etc.) in a white canvas bag. Fasten press-
studs and zips and sew on oose buttons.
• The use of modern detergents and the correct washing temperature is genera y sufficient to remove stains
from fabrics. However, some difficu t stains such as grass, fruit, egg, b ood, rust, ba point pen, etc. shou d be
dea t with before washing. De ending on the ty e of fabric, there are a large number of commercial
stain removers on the market. In all cases, stains should be cleaned or diluted at once, since the old-
er they are, the harder they are to remove.
• Failure to com ly with washing guidance symbols may result in damage to the items washed.
Wool – On y woo marked as pure new woo , with the mark, or abe ed "shrink-proof, machine-washab e"
can be washed in a washing machine on the specific programme; other types of woo shou d be hand-washed or
dry-c eaned.
4.2 OPENING THE DOOR
The app iance is fitted with a safety device which prevents the door from being opened whi e the programme is in
progress.
1. Check that all the water has been drained from the tank and the drum is at a standstill.
Warning!
• If the washing programme is interrupted, it wi be from 3 to 15 minutes before the door can be opened, de-
pending on the temperature reached inside the app iance.
Warning!
The water may still be boiling hot if the wash was at high tem erature.
Do not o en the door if there is still water in the drum!
4.3 LOADS OF WASHING
As far as possib e, to save electricity, it is more economical to wash com lete loads of the various ty es of
fabric. Shake out the aundry before oading, and a ternate arge and sma items. It is best to weight the oad the
first few times, after which you wi be ab e to re y on your experience.

4.4 LOADING THE ITEMS FOR WASHING
1. Open the door and oad the aundry, distributing it even y over the drum, with items opened out and not
bund ed together; if possib e, arge and sma items shou d be we mixed.
2. The washing machine covered by this manua can be loaded with u to 7kg of aundry for each wash. If
this weight is exceeded, the washing resu ts wi be poor and the app iance may ma function.
3. To save energy it is more economical to wash full loads of the various types of fabric, fo owing the
guidance on quantities provided in the "Programmes Tab e" supp ied in this manua .
4. C ose the door by pressing against the frame unti you hear it c ick shut. Take care not to trap items of
aundry between the door and the rubber gasket.
Warning!
• If the door is not proper y c osed, a safety device prevents the washer-dryer from starting.
• Do not exceed the maximum load: overloading adversely affects washing results.
4.5 ADDING DETERGENT AND ADDITIVE
The interna tray comprises three compartments, marked with the symbo s
prewash detergent
main wash detergent
for fabric conditioner, starch, additives, etc. (e.g. treatment products). The additives are added to
the washing tank automatica y during the fina rinse.
The main wash detergent compartment has a tang a owing the use of iquid detergent. To insert it, pu it towards
the front and then ower it.
Fo owing the recommendations in the "Programmes Tab e" supp ied
with this manua , p ace the detergent and any additives in the drawer
before the start of the programme.
Never fill with liquids above the maximum level marked; otherwise
the trays wi empty too quick y.
Before pouring dense additives into the container, di ute with a itt e
water to ensure they do not c og the out et.
Use on y ow-foam detergents suitab e for use in a washer-dryer.
The amount of detergent must be decided in relation of the hard-
ness of the water, the ty e and quantity of items loaded, and their
degree of dirt.
This wi provide the desired effect with optima detergent consump-
tion.
On detergent packs the recommended dose is indicated for 4 eve s of water hardness and for oads of 4-5 kg of
aundry with average dirt eve s.

4.6 POWDER DETERGENT DOSES
Laundry with normal dirt
1. Choose a programme without prewash.
2. Pour the tota amount of detergent shown on the pack into the main wash compartment of the detergent
drawer.
Very dirty laundry
1. Choose a programme with prewash.
2. P ace ¼ of the recommended amount of detergent in the prewash compartment of the detergent drawer and
¾ of the detergent in the wash compartment.
Warning!
• If no recommended doses are provided, for de icate items in synthetic fibre use from ½ to 2/3 of the recom-
mended dose for washing tough cotton fabrics.
• On y neutra detergents recommended for woo shou d be used on the woo programme.
• Use the doses recommended by the detergent producer.
4.7 LIQUID DETERGENT DOSES
1. Pour the dose required into the measuring cap supp ied with the bott e of iquid detergent and p ace it in the
drum, or use the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer, fitting the insert provided.
2. The sca e on the red insert is intended as an aid when deciding the dose of iquid detergent.
Warning!
• Liquid detergents can be used, at the doses recommended by the producer, only for the main wash, i.e. in
all rogrammes without rewash.
4.8 DESCALERS
Desca ers can be added to the prewash and main wash compartments as recommended by their producers.
P ace the detergent in the compartments first, fo owed by the desca er.
4.9 PROGRAMMES AND FUNCTIONS
For advice on selecting rogrammes in relation to the ty e of fabric, refer to the "Programmes Table",
su lied with this manual (Inside the bag of accessories).
4.10 SWITCHING ON THE APPLIANCE AND SELECTING THE WASHING PROGRAMME
To switch on the app iance and se ect the programme, proceed as fo ows:
1. Turn the programmes knob in either direction. This switches on the washer-dryer.
2. Se ect the washing programme. The time eft to the end of the programme and the maximum recommended
weight for the se ected programme a ternate on the disp ay. The symbo s on the disp ay ight up to identify the
information shown.
3. The defau t spin speed va ues are shown. The initia settings can be modified using the button underneath the
sequence of spin speeds.
4. If spin speed is set, there wi be no spin cyc e and the app iance wi stop with the tank fu . If this va ue
is set the app iance does not perform the fina spin and the washing programme ends with water in the tank.

4.11 SELECTING AND CONFIRMING OPTIONS
1. The Option Se ection button can be used to se ect the fo owing options in sequence (from the top down):
Prewash: adds a stage before the main wash, asting about 20 minutes at a temperature of 35°C. Suita-
b e for oads of particu ar y dirty items.
Intensive: the max. temperature is changed to 60°C and the washing stage is extended to increase the
effectiveness of the enzymes in the detergents. Suitab e for de icate but dirty items.
Easy iron: produces items which are ess creased and easy to iron.
Water lus: Increases the amount of water used for washing and rinses.
In a ternative Extra rinse: this option adds a rinse to the se ected washing programme.
Flexi Time: reduces the duration of the cyc e. The symbo is comp ete y i uminated with the initia dura-
tion of the se ected programme. Once the option has been se ected the cyc e duration can be further re-
duced to an intermediate setting and a minimum setting and then returned to the initia duration by re-
peated pressing of the Set button
In a ternative Ra id: reduces the duration of the washing cyc e. Suitab e for sma amounts of aundry
with on y ight dirt.
Buzzer: sets whether or not the buzzer wi sound at the end of the cyc e. The app iance comes with the
buzzer function "on".
2. To confirm the se ected option, simp y press the Confirm options button and the LED of the option re-
mains on.
3. To de ete an option se ection, simp y return to the option with the Se ection button and press the Confirm
options button. To annu a the options previous y se ected in a sing e operation, simp y ho d down the
Confirm options button for 4 seconds.
4. The Buzzer option retains its "on" or "off" status for subsequent cyc es. It is on y automatica y switched
to "off" if the Night Wash programme is chosen.

4.12 TIME REMAINING
1. The De ay Timer can be pressed repeated y to se ect the time after which the washing programme wi
end. The time eft before the end of the cyc e ca cu ates the initia duration of the washing/drying cyc e,
the settings made (temperature, spin speed and options) which may shorten or engthen the cyc e's initia
duration, and the de ay time the user wishes to add before the cyc e starts.
2. After the De ay Timer function has been set, the symbo on the disp ay remains on.
3. To annu the De ay Timer function, keep pressing the button repeated y unti the disp ay shows 0.
4. The Start Pause symbo f ashes on and off unti the cyc e starts. After the cyc e starts, the symbo re-
mains constant y it.
4.13 STARTING THE WASHING PROGRAMME
1. To start the washing programme after making your persona settings, press the Start Pause button.
2. Once the cyc e has started, the disp ay shows the time remaining before the end of the cyc e and the
Start Pause symbo on the disp ay is constant y on.
3. During performance of the washing/drying programme, the symbo s which identify the various phases
ight up:

4.14 INTERRUPTING OR CHANGING THE WASHING PROGRAMME
The washing programme in progress can be interrupted at any moment:
1. press the “Start/Pause” button for about 3 seconds: the disp ay shows the word PAUS (for 1 second) a -
ternating with the time remaining unti the end of the cyc e (for 1 second). The Start/Pause ight f ashes
on and off.
Programmes can a so be interrupted by turning the programme/temperature setting knob whi e the cyc e
is in progress.
2. To change the washing programme, simp y turn the programme knob to se ect the new programme;
there is no need to set the app iance in pause status. The new cyc e wi be carried out comp ete y, be-
ginning from the start. If the tank had a ready been fi ed with water during the previous cyc e, the water
intake phase wi be omitted from the new programme.
3. To restart the cyc e, press the Start-Pause button again.
4.15 PROGRAMME END
Washing/drying programmes are comp eted automatica y. The word END appears on the disp ay and the "Time
remaining" ight goes out.
1. Switch the a liance off by turning the rogrammes knob to OFF
2. Un oad the aundry from the drum.
3. Leave the door ajar to a ow the interior of the washer-dryer to dry out.
4. Turn off the water intake ta .
If during the initia spin speed setting stage, the "no spin" mode with stop with tank fu (spin speed set as
0) was se ected, at the end of the washing programme the word STOP appears on the disp ay, a ternating with ----
(spin speed of 0) and the spin ight is on.
To proceed with the pump-out and spin, press the spin se ection button twice. The app iance restarts the cyc e
with the pump-out and spin. To se ect the spin speed required, press the button unti the chosen speed is dis-
p ayed. To pump out the water from the tank without performing the spin, press the spin se ection button unti the
disp ay indicates speed of 0: the pump-out wi be run without spin.
4.16 CHILD LOCK
1. When this function is activated, the modification of options, temperatures, spin speed and the wash-
ing/drying cyc e is not possib e whi e the cyc e is in progress.
2. To activate the Chi d Lock, press the Option se ection button and ho d it down. A so press the Confirm
options button within 3 seconds.
3. The Chi d Lock symbo ights up to show that the function has been activated.
4. Repeat the same procedure to deactivate the function.

4.17 OPENING THE APPLIANCE IN AN EMERGENCY
In the event of a power fai ure, the door is opened using the
mechanica re ease device activated by means of the ever in
the bottom of the app iance:
• Turn the knob to Off and disconnect the power
supp y p ug from the socket.
• Drain off the water (see point 6.4)
• Pu the ever down and open the door.
Warning, scolding hazard: before opening the door, check
that the app iance does not contain boi ing hot water and de-
tergent which may pour out and cause injury when the door is
opened.
Warning: do not open the door using the emergency re ease
ever whi e the drum is turning.
5. USING THE APPLIANCE FOR DRYING
5.1 GENERAL
During drying cycles, the water ta must be turned on and the drain hose correctly ositioned.
This app iance can be set to perform wash on y, dry on y and wash-and-dry programmes.
In the wash-and-dry programme, the app iance switches from washing to drying automatica y, with no need to use
the contro s (at the end of the wash) to obtain the comp ete cyc e.
Attention
• On y dry aundry or garments washed in an aqueous so ution and suitab e for tumb e drying.
• Do not dry fabrics which have been dry c eaned or had stains removed with chemica so vents, woo or
woo b end fabrics which wi be shrunk by the heat, very de icate fabrics such as si k and synthetic cur-
tains, fabrics which may easi y ose threads such as woo en yarn, padding and oose-pi e mats, or arti-
c es which contain foam rubber or simi ar e astomers.
• Loads of laundry laced in the washer-dryer for drying must not exceed 4 Kg in weight. The
washer-dryer is constructed to give the best resu ts with oads which do not exceed 4 kg of dry weight of
aundry.
• When washing programmes for resistant fabrics are set, drying automatica y takes p ace at 90°C (norma
drying).
• In washing programmes for de icate fabrics, drying automatica y takes p ace at 60°C (gent e drying).
Therefore, in automatic wash-and-dry programmes, the drying programme wi depend on the washing
programme se ected.
• In drying on y programmes, the aundry must first have been washed and spun-dried.
• After drying particu ar y f uffy items such as new terry towe s, the "Rinse" program shou d be carried out
to ensure that any deposits eft by the fabric are removed, and are not deposited on the c othes in the
next wash.
Im ortant – Do not dry de icate fabrics that wi not withstand a temperature of 60°C or any fabrics which wi not
withstand the se ected temperature.
5.1.1 EXTRA DRYING
If the aundry is sti too damp at the end of the programme, set a short timed drying programme.
Warning!: do not over-dry as this may cause creases or shrinkage of garments.

5.2 WASH-AND-DRY PROGRAMME
Automatic washing and drying can be carried out in the tough fabrics (cotton and co ours) and synthetic/de icate
fabrics programmes. If the woo wash programmes are se ected, automatic drying after the wash cannot be set.
For automatic washing and drying, the oad of aundry must not exceed 4 kg of cotton or 2 kg of synthetic fab-
rics.
Therefore, if the oad for washing and drying exceeds the quantities stated above, a wash+dry programme is not
recommended; the oad wi have to be ha ved after washing and dried in two ots.
To set a wash-and-dry rogramme proceed as fo ows:
1. Se ect the washing rogramme and make any changes to the default arameters;
2. Press the dry button to set the drying time required. The disp ay initia y shows the maximum time which can
be set (2h:40’), which is then gradua y reduced to 0h:00’
Whether drying wi be at the norma temperature (90°C) or the de icate fabrics temperature (60°C) depends
on the washing programme set previous y.
Once a drying time has been set, the symbo on the disp ay f ashes; it remains constant y on once the cyc e
enters the drying stage.
5.3 DRY ONLY PROGRAMME
1. Turn the app iance off by turning the washing/drying programmes se ector knob to OFF.
2. Turn the knob to the drying programme required: Intensive drying: for norma drying (90°C), or Gent e drying:
for de icate fabrics (60°C). To find out which symbo identifies each drying programme, refer to the pro-
grammes tab e supp ied with the app iance.
3. Press the Dry button repeated y to set the drying time required (see previous point).
4. Press the "Start-Pause” button to start the drying programme. The disp ay shows the time remaining and the
drying symbo LED ights up.
Attention
• Since no washing programme has been set previous y, there are no constraints on se ection of the drying
programme (norma or gent e). Remember that norma drying is recommended for cotton and co oureds, and
gent e drying for synthetic and de icate items.
• For good drying resu ts, the oad of aundry must not exceed 4kg of cotton or 2kg of synthetic fabrics.
5.4 INTERRUPTING OR CHANGING THE DRYING PROGRAMME
1. The drying programme can be interrupted by the same procedures as the washing programme.
2. To end the programme and remove the aundry, it is best first to coo the oad. Use the se ector button to set
a drying time of 20 minutes. Restart the app iance as described above and the aundry wi be ready for re-
mova .

5.5 CLEAN PROGRAMME
To keep the app iance operating at peak efficiency over time, it has a CLEAN programme for regu ar c eaning of
the drying circuit to remove any f uff deposits.
1. After a given number of drying cyc es, the CLEAN symbo ights up on the disp ay to warn that this pro-
gramme needs to be run. The warning ight remains on unti the CLEAN programme is carried out. The ight
goes out at the end of the programme.
2. To perform the CLEAN programme, proceed as fo ows:
a. Make sure that the drum is com letely em ty and close the door.
b. Turn the knob to the CLEAN programme (see programmes tab e for the exact position on the knob)
c. Press the START/PAUSE button
The CLEAN programme can a so be carried out even if the ight on the disp ay is not on.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Im ortant – Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance rocedure, the lug must be disconnected
from the ower su ly socket.
6.1 CLEANING THE OUTSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE
• Regu ar, thorough c eaning wi keep your app iance ooking good.
• C ean the exterior of the app iance with soap and water on y, then dry thorough y with a soft c oth.
• The p astic parts shou d just be wiped with a damp c oth.
• Do not scrape with pointed objects, or use so vents or products containing abrasive substances because
they damage the surfaces.
• For reasons of safety, never s ray the washer-dryer with jets of water.
6.2 CLEANING THE DRUM
• Remove any rust marks from the drum using a stain ess stee c eaner, or very fine sandpaper for particu-
ar y stubborn cases.
• For desca ing the washer-dryer use on y brand-name desca ers which contain an anti-corrosion agent for
washing machines.
• A ways fo ow the producer's instructions with regard to use and dosages.
• After descaling or removing rust from the drum, carry out a few rinse cycles to remove all acid
residues which might damage the a liance. Never use cleaners which contain solvents. There is
the risk of the formation of va ours which might catch fire and ex lode.

6.3 CLEANING THE DOOR GASKET
Check regu ar y that there are no brooches, buttons, nai s or pins in the fo ds of the door gasket.
6.4 CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP
The drain pump on y needs c eaning if it has been b ocked by buttons, brooches or simi ar objects and the water is
not being pumped out.
In this case, proceed as described be ow.
1. Remove the mains lug to disconnect the a liance from the electricity su ly.
2. Depending on the mode , proceed as fo ows:

3. Extract the drain hose ”A”.
Warning: if the hose is hot, the water is hot or boi ing hot. P ace a sha ow
container on the f oor and remove the p ug “B” to drain off the water.
Depending on the amount of water in the app iance, the container may have
to be emptied severa times.
When no more water is coming out, c ose the hose again by pushing the p ug
“B” firm y back into p ace.
4. Unscrew the cover of the pump “D” by turning it to the eft.
C ean the pump and remove any foreign bodies.
A so check the inside “E”, making sure that the impe er turns free y; any foreign
bodies stuck in it must be removed.
5. Screw the cover back on the pump.
Secure the drain house by snapping the p ug back into p ace "C".
Depending on the mode , rep ace the p inth as fo ows:
Bui t-in/comp ete y concea ed mode – Fit the bottom of the p inth first. Push it towards the cabinet and put the
p ugs back into p ace.
Free-standing mode – Fit the bottom of the p inth first and then push it towards the cabinet unti it snaps into
p ace.

6.5 CLEANING THE DETERGENT DRAWER
The detergent drawer shou d be kept c ean, removing a so id deposits.
To simp ify this operation, comp ete y remove the detergent drawer (pu the
drawer fu y out, press in the zone marked PUSH and then remove comp ete-
y).
Remove the siphon "A" and c ean a parts with hot water.
Fu y re-insert the siphon and remove any detergent deposits before putting
the drawer back in position.

6.6 CLEANING THE WATER INTAKE FILTERS
The machine is fitted with a fi ter which protects the water intake va ves.
The fi ter is in the fitting on the intake hose which is connected to the tap
The fi ter must be c eaned if the washer-dryer is not taking in water or the amount of wa-
ter is insufficient.
To c ean, proceed as fo ows:
• Remove the mains lug to disconnect the a liance from the electricity
su ly.
• Turn off the water tap.
• Unscrew the intake hose fitting from the tap.
• Remove the intake hose fitting fi ter.
• C ean the fi ter with water, with the aid of a sma brush.
• When screwing the intake hose fitting back into p ace, check that the fi ter is positioned correct y.
