Your SolarArc has been engineered and manufactured in the USA to our highest standards for dependability,
durability, ease of operation and safety. Follow these instructions, and it will heat your pool for many years to
come. Thank you for purchasing SolarArc.
Caution:
The SolarArc is designed to be installed on the ground next to your pump and filter system. Please ensure that the installation
does not provide children access to the pool. The recommended installation is on the ground and not mounted on a roof or
standing structure. Doing so could damage the SolarArc and the mounting surface and void your warranty.
Important
• Carefully read this manual. Failure to comply with these instructions can cause injury, death, or damage to the unit.
• Do NOT allow children to operate SolarArc
• Always turn the filter system off when installing, working on, or servicing the SolarArc.
• Install SolarArc far enough away from the pool to prevent children from using it as a way to access the pool.
• When loosening any threaded connections on your filter, pump or pool, be sure that the filter hoses are closed or
blocked to prevent water flow.
NOTE: Be sure to place your solar blanket on at night to help retain the heat generated by the SolarArc.
How SolarArc Works:
Water flows from your pool’s filter into the bottom left corner (inlet) of the SolarArc. A plug built into the lower header pipe of
the SolarArc forces the water up through the left half of the unit. When the water reaches the SolarArc’s upper header pipe, it
flows to the right and back down through the right half of the SolarArc. As the water travels through the SolarArc, it is heated by
the sun. The heated water then flows out of the bottom right corner (outlet) of the SolarArc and back to your pool.

Where Should I put the SolarArc?
• Choose a hard, level surface.
• The unit(s) should never be placed on a roof, or any structure.
• Install SolarArc on the ground in a location where it will receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.
• The unit(s) should be angled toward the sun using the legs provided.
NOTE: The SolarArc is to be installed between the filter and the pool water inlet. SolarArc must be placed after the
filter to prevent buildup of dirt/debris in the tubing.
NOTE: If SolarArc needs to be further from the filter than the hoses allow, you may need to purchase a longer hose
with the 1½” diameter openings, or connect 2 hoses together using a 1½”-1½” coupler (not included). In this case
make certain you have two hose clamps to secure the hoses to the coupler. If the hoses are too wide to fit the hose
connector, put the 1¼”-1½” tube reducer on the hose connector and continue.
CAUTION
Ensure A hose connections are tight and the hoses are NOT kinked or bent at severe angles. If the hoses are leaking,
check to make sure A of the parts that have O-Rings have them attached and are screwed on tightly. DO NOT over
tighten hose clamps.
NOTE: The short rubber hose (see parts photo on page 11 under letter “D”) is only used to connect multiple solar
heaters together.
What Tools Will I need?
• All you need is a flat Head Screwdriver or 5/16th” nut driver.
When should I run the SolarArc?
The SolarArc works best when the sun is shining.
Installation

4. Attach legs to the underside of the rear end (opposite end with the labels “From Filter” and “To pool”)
3. The header with the labels “From Filter” and “To Pool” is the front end - the one that will be set on the ground.
This is the end into which the water will flow to and from the pool.
The opposite end of the SolarArc is the rear, and is raised up off the ground using the 12” legs (provided).
2. Remove protective film from glazed clear cover.

5. Wrap ample amounts of Teflon tape (provided) on the ends of all four threaded headers and pipe adaptors.
7. Attach end caps (provided) to the two opposite (rear) header ends. Hand tighten, then use a channel lock to
further tighten by a half-turn.
6. Thread pipe adaptors to 11⁄2” pvc coupling. Attach coupling and pipe adaptor to front/lower headers. Hand
tighten, then use a channel lock to further tighten by a half-turn.

9. Make sure filter is turned off so no water flows out of the filter when disconnecting return hose from the
swimming pool return and connecting to the SolarArc.
10. Disconnect flex hose from return fitting.
8. Plug return fitting in pool to ensure no water loss when disconnecting hose from return.

11. Take the hose end removed from pool return and connect to hose adaptor attached to the header labelled
“From Filter”. Tighten hose clamp with screwdriver.
12. Connect provided flex hose to the end labeled “To Pool” and the opposite end to the return fitting. Tighten hose
clamp with screwdriver.

14. Use the 2 remaining metal stakes provided to secure the front end of the SolarArc, by pushing them through the
small holes located on the base and secure to ground.
13. Use 2 of the 4 metal stakes provided to secure the rear of the unit by inserting the curved end into the holes
near the bottom of the legs, and then secure them by pushing the legs into the ground.

Multiple SolarArcs can be installed in series for larger pools and/or for more rapid heating. To connect multiple units
together, use the provided rubber hose and hose clamps to join the SolarArcs together at the lower end.
From the first SolarArc’s output (labeled “To Pool”) use the rubber hose connector and 2 hose clamps and connect to
second SolarArc’s header near the label “From Filter”.
If connecting 3 SolarArcs together use the same process as above to connect SolarArcs 2 to 3.
Connect the last SolarArc’s adaptor located by the “To Pool” label back to the swimming pool.
Installing SolarArc for a soft-sided pool:
For smaller soft sided pools using 1¼” flex hose use the provided elbow adaptors. For larger sized soft-sided pools
that use a threaded union to connect the pump and filter system, use adaptors (provided) to connect the threaded
adaptors to the SolarArc.
• Connect hose from filter to header end labeled “From Filter”.
• Connect return hose (not provided) to header end labeled “To Pool”.
• Connect other end of return hose to pool return.

Winterization:

It is always best to store your SolarArc inside a warm, dry place for winter storage.
Problems Possibilities/Solutions
SolarArc does not appear to be heating the pool. • Make sure that water is flowing through SolarArc by checking the flow
at the pool return.
• Note the weather - has it been cloudy or raining?
• Use your pool cover at night to reduce heat loss.
• Refer to our order guide - pool size may require additional SolarArcs
Bubbles continue to appear from the pool water inlet during
operation.
• Check the connections for leaks.
• Check the flow rate.
• Check the tubing for leaks or clogging.
SolarArc leaks • Make sure connectors and hose clamps are tight and not defective.
Troubleshooting
FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
Five year limite warranty from ate of purchase with one year full.
After the first year, the claimant shall pay the list price at the ate of the claim less one-sixtieth (1/60) of that
price for each full month remaining in the warranty perio .

Il est toujours préférable de ranger votre SolarArc dans un endroit chaud et sec pour l’entreposage hivernal.
Problèmes Possibilités/Solutions
e SolarArc ne semble pas chauffer la piscine. • S’assurer que l’eau circule bien dans le SolarArc en vérifiant le débit
au niveau des retours d’eau de la piscine.
• Conditions météorologiques, derniers jours nuageux ou pluvieux?
• Utiliser le couvre piscine le soir pour réduire la perte de chaleur.
• Se réferer à notre tableau de mesures, la taille de la piscine peut
nécessiter des SolarArcs additionnels.
Des bulles apparaissent continuellement des buses de
refoulement (retours d’eau) de la piscine quand le SolarArc est
en marche.
• Vérifier qu’il n’y ait aucune fuite au niveau des connexions.
• Vérifier le débit d’eau.
• Vérifier s’il y a des fuites ou de la saleté dans les tuyaux.

Plusieurs SolarArcs peuvent être assemblés en série pour une plus grande piscine et/ou un chauffage plus rapide.
Pour connecter plusieurs unités ensemble, utilisez le tuyau de caoutchouc fourni et les colliers de serrage en le fixant
du tube de sortie “To Pool” au tube d’entrée “From Filter” (Filtre) dans la partie inférieure des SolarArcs.
Si vous désirez annexer 3 SolarArcs ensemble, procédez de la même façon comme décrit ci-dessus pour connecter les
SolarArcs 2 et 3.
Raccordez le dernier tube de sortie “To Pool” (Vers la piscine) à la piscine.
Installation du SolarArc pour une piscine tubulaire/autoportante:
Pour une piscine tubulaire/autoportante plus petite ayant un tuyau flexible de 1¼” (3.2 cm), utilisez les coudes fournis.
Pour une piscine tubulaire/autoportante plus grande ayant une bague filetée pour connecter la pompe et le filtre, utilisez
les adaptateurs fournis afin de les connecter au SolarArc.
• Connectez le tuyau du filtre au tube d’entrée identifié “From Filter” (Filtre).
• Connectez le tuyau de refoulement (non fourni) au tube de sortie d’eau du SolarArc identifié “To Pool” (Vers la piscine).
• Connectez l’extrémité du tuyau de refoulement au retour d’eau de la piscine.

14. Utilisez les 2 piquets restants pour sécuriser la partie frontale du SolarArc au sol, en les insérant dans les petits
trous situés à la base.
13. Utilisez 2 des 4 piquets fournis pour sécuriser l’arrière du SolarArc en insérant les bouts courbés dans les trous
situés à la base des pieds et ensuite sécurisez-les en les enfonçant dans le sol.

11. Prenez le bout du tuyau qui a été enlevé du retour d’eau et connectez-le au coude du tube d’entrée d’eau “From
Filter” (Filtre). Vissez le collier de serrage avec un tournevis.
12. Connectez le tuyau flexible (fourni) au tube de sortie d’eau“To Pool”(Vers la piscine) et son extrémité au retour
d’eau de la piscine. Vissez le collier de serrage avec un tournevis.

9. Assurez-vous que le filtre soit éteint pour qu’il n’y ait pas d’écoulement d’eau lorsque vous débrancherez le tuyau
de refoulement (retour d’eau) de la piscine pour ensuite le connecter au SolarArc.
10. Débranchez le tuyau du retour d’eau.

Bouchez le trou de retour d’eau de la piscine pour ne pas causer de fuite lorsque vous débrancherez le tuyau de ce dernier.

5. Enroulez une quantité suffisante de ruban téflon (fourni) autour des quatre tubes de branchement filetés et sur les
adaptateurs de conduit.
7. Vissez les bouchons d’extrémités (fournis) sur les deux tubes arrières. Serrez à la main.
6. Vissez les adaptateurs de conduit aux coupleurs 3,81 cm en pvc. Fixez les adaptateurs/coupleurs aux tubes
inférieurs avant. Serrez à la main, ensuite utilisez une pince multiprises pour effectuer un serrage final d’un demi-tour.
