WEEE-notice
The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)-directive, which became
effective as European law on February 13th 2003, resulted in an all out change
in the disposal of disused electro devices. The primarily purpose of this directive
is the avoidance of electrical waste (WEEE) and at the same time the support of
recycling and other forms of recycling in order to reduce waste. The WEEE-logo on
the device and the package indicates that the device should not be disposed in the
normal household garbage. You are responsible for taking the disused electrical
and electronical devices to a respective collecting point. A separated collection and
reasonable recycling of your electrical waste helps handling the natural resources
more economical. Furthermore recycling of electrical waste is a contribution to
keep the environment and thus also the health of men. Further information about
disposal of electrical and electronical waste, recycling and the collection points
are available in local organizations, waste management enterprises, in specialized

Description
This USB cable is used to connect USB devices, such as a webcam or
a printer, to a PC or a laptop. This hybrid active optical cable is particularly thin
and can transmit signals with virtually no loss over longer distances. The
integrated Micro USB connector and the included Micro USB cable can supply
additional power. The screws and bushings at the terminals ensure a secure
connection.

Installation
1. Switch on your computer.
2. Connect the cable to the computer.

• If you want to connect a hub, we recommend to use a device with a separate
power supply.
• The plugs of the cable can get warm; please ensure adequate ventilation and do
not cover the connectors.
• The integrated chipset conveys USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 signals to be transmitted

aktive optische Kabel ist besonders dünn und kann Signale nahezu verlustfrei
über längere Distanzen übertragen. Über die integrierte Micro USB Buchse
und das beiliegende Micro USB Kabel kann eine zusätzliche Stromversorgung
gewährleistet werden. Die Schrauben und Buchsen an den Anschlüssen sorgen
für eine sichere Verbindung.

Installation
1. Schalten Sie den Computer ein.
2. Schließen Sie das Kabel an den Computer an.
3. Schließen Sie das Kabel an das USB Gerät an.
Hinweise
• Sollte die Stromversorgung nicht ausreichen, schließen Sie bitte zusätzlich das
mitgelieferte Micro USB Kabel am Computer an.
