PROGETTO
L’origine del progetto di Homage Vox è rintracciabile
nella volontà di Sonus faber di completare la linea
Homage con un canale centrale dedicato che raccolga
in sé le esperienze, le soluzioni tecniche ed estetico-
funzionali sviluppate a partire da the Sonus faber e
raffinate con Amati futura, Guarneri evolution ed Aida.
L’obiettivo è quello di capitalizzare le esperienze
maturate in passato, dandone un senso profondo,
nella ricerca di una sempre più fedele riproduzione del
suono. All’Homage Vox spetta il compito di riprodurre
le diverse sfaccettature del suono della voce umana,
all’interno di un sistema multicanale o home theater.
Homage Vox è il degno completamento della prestigiosa
linea Homage, una delle più rappresentative dell’essenza
dell’esperienza Sonus faber.
IL PROGETTO ELETTROACUSTICO
Il diffusore Homage Vox è dotato delle maggiori novità
inerenti sia alla struttura del cabinet che alle soluzioni
tecnologiche contenute negli altri diffusori della linea
Homage.
SISTEMA
Diffusore acustico orizzontale a 3 vie da schermo a
cavità separate e accordate; sistema di accordo para-
aperiodico “Stealth-reflex”. L’array di 5 trasduttori è
stato disegnato per una performance ideale in termini
di dispersione nei sistemi di riproduzione home cinema.
La topologia midrange-tweeter ed il relativo crossover
sono stati ottimizzati con la configurazione “inter-aural
midrange array” (i.a.m.a.). La distanza tra i centri
acustici dei due midrange replica la distanza tra le
due orecchie allo scopo di massimizzare la chiarezza e
l’intelligibilità della voce umana riprodotta.
LO SCRIGNO ACUSTICO
Il cabinet ripropone nella sua massima espressione la
forma a Liuto. La curvatura progressiva, realizzata
in multistrato di okumè a venatura incrociata, viene
implementata mediante strati separati e smorzati,
facendo così ricorso alla tecnica del “constrained layer
damping”. “L’ambiente acustico” di ogni singolo
trasduttore è ottimizzato per essere prossimo alla
perfezione teorica, con strutture di rinforzo disposte
strategicamente all’interno delle singole camere
acustiche.
Le varie cavità dell’“ambiente acustico” di ogni sezione
vengono coibentate con materiali diversi più idonei per
ogni applicazione, dal termoplastico schiumato a cellule
aperte, ai materiali fibrosi, parenti del feltro utilizzato
sui pianoforti.
ALTOPARLANTI
Pur avvalendosi dei più avanzati strumenti tecnologici,
in Sonus faber vi è la radicata e incrollabile certezza che
l’unico vero giudice delle scelte progettuali sia, in ultima
analisi, quello stupendo ed impareggiabile strumento
che è l’orecchio umano.
Questo è uno dei principali aspetti che ispira, fin
dall’inizio di questa attività, la progettazione dei sistemi
di altoparlanti. In fase di ricerca ogni altoparlante è
analizzato, ed eventualmente scelto, tenendo presente
questo criterio di valutazione. Tutti i componenti
utilizzati su Homage Vox sono costruiti su specifiche
Sonus faber, dai più affermati e rinomati produttori.
Gli ultimi interventi chiave sugli altoparlanti vengono
poi finalizzati a mano in Sonus faber prima di avviare
gli stessi alle linee di assemblaggio.
L’“accordatura” di ogni set di altoparlanti (la selezione
e l’accoppiamento) rende ogni coppia “unica” come
ogni violino fatto da un valente maestro liutaio.

APERTURA DELL’IMBALLO
REGOLAZIONE DELL’INCLINAZIONE
ITALIANO
Tutti i diffusori Sonus faber sono imballati in modo tale da preservarli efficacemente e al tempo stesso rendere semplice
la loro estrazione.
Suggeriamo comunque di seguire le seguenti indicazioni generali:
• Conservare gli imballi per eventuali futuri trasporti;
• Durante l’apertura dell’imballo non indossare orologi, braccialetti, anelli, etc. per evitare di graffiare i diffusori e
le loro preziose finiture. Uguale attenzione si dovrà porre nella protezione di eventuali elementi metallici presenti
nell’abbigliamento indossato quali cerniere, bottoni, fibbie, rivetti, ecc..
• Aprire l’imballo rispettando le indicazioni poste sullo stesso.
Indicazioni specifiche:
• Porre a terra l’imballo rispettando le indicazioni di ALTO e BASSO poste sul cartone;
• Aprire la parte superiore dell’imballo esterno (fig. 1);
• Tagliare il sacco barriera ed aprire la parte superiore dell’imballo interno (fig. 2 e 3);
• Estrarre la scatola accessori (fig. 4);
• Togliere lo Stratocell superiore di protezione (fig. 5 e 6);
• Estrarre il diffusore dall’imballo (fig. 7).
IMPORTANTE: Per estrarre il diffusore dall’imballo è necessaria la presenza di due persone. Per evitare danni a
persone e/o al diffusore stesso consigliamo una corretta postura come illustrato in figura 7.
Contenuto dell’imballo:
Oltre al diffusore, all’interno dell’imballo troverete una scatola accessori contenente:
• Mascherina tendifilo;
• Panno in microfibra;
• Flacone detergente;
• Copertura antipolvere in tessuto.
Il diffusore è montato su una base di appoggio che permette la regolazione dell’inclinazione.
Per modificare l’inclinazione seguire le seguenti istruzioni:
• Ruotare di 90° il diffusore e posizionarlo su uno dei fianchi, avendo cura di proteggerlo con il panno in dotazione
(fig. 8 e 9);
• Allentare i pomelli posizionati sotto il diffusore (fig. 10);
• Modificare delicatamente la posizione della base fino ad ottenere l’inclinazione desiderata (fig. 11) quindi stringere
i pomelli con forza;
• Riposizionare il diffusore sulla sua base d’appoggio (fig. 8).
Per adattare la posizione del diffusore alle Vostre esigenze d’ascolto, è possibile invertire di 180° la posizione della base,
ottenendo così un’ulteriore inclinazione (si vedano fig. 12a e 12b per le due soluzioni di posizionamento della base).
Per effettuare tale operazione, seguire le seguenti istruzioni:
• Rimuovere la base svitando ed estraendo completamente i pomelli indicati in fig. 10;
• Ruotare la posizione della base di 180°;
• Rimontare la base avvitando e fissando saldamente i pomelli al diffusore;
• Riposizionare il diffusore sulla sua base d’appoggio (fig. 8).

CONSIGLI DI
INSTALLAZIONE:
SISTEMI
HOME THEATER E
MULTICANALE
Il diffusore Homage Vox è concepito per essere
utilizzato in un sistema “home theater” o
“multicanale”.
Il consiglio che ci sentiamo di dare è quello di
posizionare i diffusori dei canali principali (frontali)
lontani dagli angoli della sala e di tenerli lontani dalle
pareti laterali e di fondo di almeno 70-80 cm, al riparo
dalle riflessioni acustiche che si generano in prossimità
dei muri e degli angoli della stanza.
I diffusori dedicati ai canali posteriori e laterali
andranno disposti possibilmente come in fig. 16 con
il diffusore centrale esattamente in linea con l’asse
verticale passante per il centro dello schermo video
mentre il subwoofer potrà essere indifferentemente
posizionato in qualsiasi punto della sala d’ascolto
evitando però di disporlo in prossimità degli angoli.
Per ulteriori dettagli sulla migliore messa a punto
consigliamo di leggere attentamente anche le
indicazioni in dotazione al Vostro sistema di
amplificazione.
ISTRUZIONI PER IL
COLLEGAMENTO
L’operazione è da effettuarsi tassativamente con gli
apparecchi spenti!
Sul pannello posteriore dell’Homage Vox sono presenti
i morsetti di connessione che accettano collegamenti
con forcelle, banane e con cavo sguainato.
Il collegamento dovrà essere effettuato connettendo i
due terminali del diffusore ai morsetti di uscita relativi
al canale centrale dell’amplificatore rispettando la
polarità, come illustrato in fig. 14 e 15.
Ricordiamo che l’accurato serraggio dei contatti e
la verifica periodica degli stessi contribuiscono al
miglioramento delle prestazioni.
MONTAGGIO
MASCHERINA
TENDIFILO
Al diffusore può venire applicata la mascherina
tendifilo, contenuta nella scatola accessori, seguendo
scrupolosamente le seguenti istruzioni:
• Ruotare di 90° il diffusore e posizionarlo su uno dei
fianchi, avendo cura di proteggerlo con il panno in
dotazione (fig. 8 e 9);
• Inserire i perni delle asticelle della mascherina
tendifilo nelle apposite guide, iniziando dalla parte
inferiore del diffusore (fig. 13a);
• Tendere gli elastici della mascherina sino ad inserire
i perni delle asticelle della mascherina nelle apposite
guide nella parte superiore del diffusore (fig. 13b e
13c).
Qualora si volesse precedere con la rimozione della
mascherina tendifilo, sfilare i perni delle asticelle
iniziando dalla parte superiore e procedendo verso il
basso.
IMPORTANTE: Durante le operazioni di applicazione
e rimozione della mascherina tendifilo sopra descritte
fare molta attenzione a non danneggiare il frontale del
diffusore.

MANUTENZIONE
Il diffusore non necessita di manutenzioni particolari
se non quella di una periodica pulizia generale.
Per la pulizia della parte lignea del cabinet si sconsiglia
l’utilizzo di prodotti quali cere o detergenti che
potrebbero macchiare o danneggiare il legno, i
rivestimenti in pelle o gli altoparlanti.
Si consiglia semplicemente l’uso di un panno morbido
(microfibra ad esempio) ed eventualmente appena
inumidito. Per l’eventuale polvere depositatasi sul
mobile, sui pannelli frontali e sugli altoparlanti usare
un pennello morbido facendo molta attenzione a
non danneggiare le delicate membrane degli stessi, in
particolare quella del tweeter.
Il legno è un materiale naturale e sempre vivo, quindi
sensibile agli agenti esterni. Consigliamo di evitare il
posizionamento del diffusore in prossimità di fonti di
calore o in vicinanza di finestre e vetrate, in particolar
modo durante i mesi estivi. Si consiglia inoltre di non
porre il diffusore all’esposizione diretta dei raggi
solari.
Tutte queste semplici attenzioni conserveranno il Suo
prezioso diffusore perfetto per molti anni.
Il tempo contribuirà a migliorare il suono per effetto
del rodaggio delle parti in movimento (membrane e
sospensioni) e la camera acustica risponderà sempre
meglio quanto più sarà usata: sono le stesse regole
che valgono per gli strumenti musicali a corda!
GARANZIA
I diffusori Sonus faber sono stati progettati e
fabbricati secondo i più alti standard qualitativi.
Tuttavia, nella remota ipotesi in cui si manifestasse
un guasto o malfunzionamento, i diffusori da Lei
acquistati sono comunque coperti da Garanzia
secondo i termini previsti dalla normativa del Paese
nel quale lei li ha acquistati. Pertanto, in tal caso,
La invitiamo a rivolgersi al Rivenditore Sonus faber
presso il quale ha acquistato i diffusori ed a fare
riferimento alla suddetta normativa.
Inoltre, nel suo interesse ci permettiamo di farLe
presente:
• di conservare il documento comprovante l’acquisto
così da poterlo esibire al suddetto Rivenditore in
caso di necessità;
• di consegnare i diffusori da riparare al Rivenditore
con il loro imballo originale affinché possano essere
trasportati in sicurezza presso Centro di assistenza
autorizzato, e accompagnati da una descrizione
del malfunzionamento o difetto eventualmente
riscontrato;
• che la garanzia copre i diffusori da eventuali
difetti di costruzione purché gli stessi non siano
stati smontati, modificati, manomessi o impiegati
per usi o con modalità non previste dal presente
manuale.

THE PROJECT
ENGLISH
The Homage Vox project stems from the desire of Sonus
faber to complete the Homage line with a dedicated
central channel that encloses the experiences and
the both technical and aesthetic-functional solutions
developed starting from the Sonus faber and refined
with Amati futura, Guarneri evolution and Aida.
The objective is to take advantage of the experience
matured in the past, giving it a deep sense in the search
for a continually more faithful reproduction of sound.
Homage Vox has the duty of reproducing the different
aspects of the sound of the human voice, inside a
multichannel system or home theater.
Homage Vox is a worthy addition that completes the
prestigious Homage line, one of the most representative
of the essence of Sonus faber’s experience.
THE ELECTROACOUSTIC PROJECT
The Homage Vox central channel features the best
structural novelties in terms of cabinet structure and
technical solutions which characterize the acoustic
speakers of the Homage line.
SYSTEM
Horizontal 3-way acoustic speaker for screens with
separate tuned chambers; “Stealth-reflex” para-
aperiodic tuning system. The array of 5 transducers
was designed to give an ideal performance in terms of
dispersion for home cinema reproduction systems.
The midrange-tweeter topology and relative crossover
have been optimized with the “inter-aural midrange
array” (i.a.m.a.) configuration. The distance between
the acoustic centres of the two midranges mirrors
the distance between the two ears, with the aim of
maximising the clarity and intelligibility of the human
voice when reproduced.
THE ACOUSTIC CASE
The cabinet reproduces the Lute shape at its best.
The progressive curvature, made in multilayers of
okumè with crossed veins, is implemented using
separate and deadened layers, using the “constrained
layer damping” technique. “The acoustic area” of each
individual transducer is optimized to be extremely close
to theoretical perfection, with strengthening structures
strategically placed inside the individual acoustic
chambers.
The various cavities in the “acoustic area” of each
section are insulated with different materials that are
the most suitable for each application, from foam
thermoplastic to open cells, fibrous material, relatives of
the felt used with pianos.
LOUDSPEAKERS
Even though using the most advanced technological
instruments, Sonus faber has the deep-rooted and
unshakeable certainty that the only true judge of the
design choices is that excellent and incomparable
instrument: the human ear.
This is one of the main aspects that has been inspiring
the design of speaker systems since the beginning of
this activity. During the research phase each speaker
is analysed and possibly selected considering this
evaluation criterion. All the components used with
Homage Vox are made following
Sonus faber specifications, and by the best and most
revered producers.
The last key interventions on the speakers are then
finished by hand at Sonus faber’s before being sent to
the assembly line.
The “tuning” of each set of speakers (selection and
coupling) makes each pair “unique”, in the same
manner as each violin made by a worthy master luthier.

OPENING THE PACKAGING
ADJUSTING THE ANGLE
All Sonus faber’s speakers have been packed in order to carefully protect the contents and at the same time make
unpacking simple.
We suggest, however, following these recommendations:
• Keep all packaging for any future transport;
• Do not wear watches, bracelets, rings etc. in order to avoid scratching the speakers and their precious finishes
when unpacking; Protect the speakers from any metal finishes present on the clothes you are wearing, such as zips,
buttons, belt clasps, etc.;
• Open the packaging following the instructions printed on it.
Specific indications:
• Place the package on the ground, respecting the words UP and DOWN that appear on the cardboard;
• Open the top of the external packaging (fig. 1);
• Cut the bag and open the top of the internal packaging (fig. 2 and 3);
• Extract the accessories box (fig. 4);
• Remove the top layer of protective Stratocell (fig. 5 and 6);
• Remove the speaker from the packaging (fig. 7).
IMPORTANT: Two people are needed to remove the speaker from its packaging.
To prevent harming people and/or damaging the speaker, we advise the correct positions as shown in figure 7.
Packaging contents:
Inside the packaging, in addition to the speaker, you will also find an accessories box that contains:
• Frame with elastic strings;
• Microfiber cloth;
• Cleaner;
• Fabric dust sheet.
The speaker can be angled using the support base it is mounted on.
To modify the angle follow these instructions:
• Rotate the speaker 90° and position it on one side, being careful to protect it using the supplied cloth (fig. 8 and 9);
• Loosen the knobs below the speaker (fig. 10);
• Delicately change the position of the base until the required angle is reached (fig. 11), then solidly tighten the knobs;
• Reposition the speaker on its support base (fig. 8).
To adapt the speaker to your listening requirements, the base can be angled up to 180° (refer to fig. 12a and 12b for
the two base positioning solutions).
To do this, follow these instructions:
• Remove the base by unscrewing and removing the knobs indicated in fig. 10 completely;
• Rotate the base 180°;
• Re-assemble the base, tightening and solidly fixing the knobs on the speaker;
• Reposition the speaker on its support base (fig. 8).

INSTALLATION
RECOMMENDATIONS:
HOME THEATER AND
MULTICHANNEL
SYSTEMS
The Homage Vox speaker was designed to be used
with a “home theatre” or “multichannel” system.
The advice we feel we should give you is to position
the speakers of the main channels (front) distant
from the corners of the room and also keep them at a
distance of at least 70-80 cm from side and end walls,
protected from acoustic reflections that generate near
walls and the corners of the room.
The speakers for the rear and side channels should be
placed as shown in fig. 16 if possible, with the central
speaker directly in line with the vertical axis that
passes through the centre of the video screen, while
the subwoofer can be positioned in any point of the
room. It is best not to place it near corners.
For more details on the best installation we
advise reading the indications supplied with your
amplification system carefully.
CONNECTION
INSTRUCTIONS
This operation must be carried out with all
equipment switched off!
On the back panel of Homage Vox there are
connection terminals that accept spade connectors,
banana plugs or bare cable connections.
Connect the two speaker terminals to the output
clamps on the central channel of the amplifier.
Respect the polarity, as shown in fig. 14 and 15.
We remind you that accurately tightening the
contacts and checking them periodically contributes
to improved performance.
MOUNTING THE
FRAME WITH
ELASTIC STRINGS
The frame with elastic strings, which is in the accessories
box, can be applied to the speaker following these
instructions scrupulously:
• Rotate the speaker 90° and position it on one side,
being careful to protect it using the supplied cloth
(fig. 8 and 9);
• Insert the frame pins into the relative guides, starting
from the lower section of the speaker (fig. 13a);
• Tighten the frame elastic until the frame can be
inserted into the relative guides in the upper section
of the speaker (fig. 13b and 13c).
Should you wish to remove the frame, pull out the
pins starting from the top section and proceeding
downwards.
IMPORTANT: When applying and removing the frame
with elastic strings described above, be very careful not
to damage the front section of the speaker.

MAINTENANCE
The speakers do not require any special maintenance
other than periodic general cleaning. Do not use
products such as wax or detergents to clean the
cabinet, which could stain or damage the wood, the
leather finishes or the speakers.
We recommend using a clean soft cloth, (microfiber
for example), possibly slightly damp. Any dust on
the unit, front panels or drivers must be removed
using a soft paintbrush, being very careful not to
damage their delicate membranes, in particular those
of the tweeter. Wood is a natural material that can be
affected by environmental conditions.
We advise keeping the speakers distant from heat
sources or windows, in particular during the summer
months. We also advise keeping the speakers away
from direct sunlight.
These simple guidelines will help to keep your
precious speakers perfect for many years.
Time will help improve the sound by breaking in
the moving parts of the speaker (membranes and
suspensions), and the acoustic chamber will become
accustomed to music being played the more it is
used – much like what happens with acoustic string
instruments!
GUARANTEE
Speakers by Sonus faber have been designed and
built following the highest quality standards.
In spite of this, should a fault or malfunction occur,
the speakers you have purchased are covered by
Guarantee according to the country in which
they were purchased. Should such an event occur,
please contact the Sonus faber Dealer where the
speakers were purchased and refer to the mentioned
guarantee.
For your benefit, please note the following:
• keep the document that proves purchase in order
to show it to the retailer, if necessary;
• return speakers in need of repair in their original
packaging, in order to transport them safely to
an authorised Service Centre, together with a
description of the malfunction or defect;
• the guarantee covers the speakers for any
construction faults as long as they have not been
dismantled, modified, tampered with or used for
purposes or in ways that have not been outlined
in this manual.

bis zu dem Moment, als Sonus faber sich entschloss,
seine Linie Homage durch einen zentralen Kanal

technischen, optischen und funktionellen Lösungen auf
sich vereinigen sollte, die seit the Sonus faber entwickelt
und mit Amati futura, Guarneri evolution und Aida
verfeinert wurden.
Die in der Vergangenheit gesammelten Erfahrungen
sollten beim Streben nach einer immer echter klingenden
Tonwiedergabe sinnvoll genutzt werden. Homage Vox
kommt die Aufgabe zu, als Teil eines Mehrkanal- oder
Heimkinosystems die verschiedenen Klangfacetten der
menschlichen Stimme herauszuarbeiten.
Auf würdige Weise ergänzt Homage Vox die
allseits anerkannte Linie Homage. Sie gehört zu den
Baureihen, die das eigentliche Wesen der von Sonus
faber gesammelten Erfahrungen am deutlichsten zum
Ausdruck bringen.

Auch der Zentralkanal Homage Vox ist sowohl mit
den hervorragenden Neuigkeiten beim Aufbau des
Lautsprechergehäuses wie auch den technischen
Lösungen der anderen Lautsprechersysteme aus der
Linie Homage ausgestattet.
SYSTEM
Horizontales Lautsprechersystem, drei separate und
aufeinander abgestimmte Wege von der Resonanzwand
bis zum Resonanzhohlraum. Para-aperiodisches
Abstimmungssystem „Stealth-reflex“.
Das aus 5 Treibern bestehende Array zielt auf eine ideale
Schalldispersion in Heimkino-Wiedergabesystemen ab.
Die Topologie aus Mitteltöner und Hochtöner sowie die
zugehörige Frequenzweiche sind durch eine interaurale
Anordnung, das „inter-aural midrange array“ (i.a.m.a.)
optimiert. Damit die wiedergegebene menschliche
Stimme möglichst klar und verständlich herauskommt,
wird der Ohrenabstand durch die Distanz zwischen
den akustischen Zentren der beiden Mitteltöner exakt
repliziert.
DAS LAUTSPRECHERGEHÄUSE
Das Gehäuse nimmt in seiner höchsten Ausprägung
Anleihen bei der Lautenform.
Die progressiv gerundeten, mehrschichtigen Seitenwände
aus Okoumè-Holz, dessen Maserungen übereinander
gelegt werden, sind durch getrennte und gedämpfte
Schichten implementiert. Dies ist die Technik des so
genannten „constrained layer damping“.
Um der theoretischen Perfektion so nahe wie möglich
zu kommen, wird die „akustische Umgebung“ für
jeden Treiber separat optimiert. Verstärkungselemente
sind strategisch in den einzelnen akustischen Kammern
platziert. Die verschiedenen Resonanzhohlräume der
“akustischen Umgebung” werden in jedem einzelnen
Abschnitt mit anwendungsgerechten Materialien
gedämmt, die vom offenzelligen thermoplastischen
Schaumstoff bis hin zu Faserstoffen reichen, die dem in
Klavieren verwendeten Filz verwandt sind.
LAUTSPRECHER
Trotz des Einsatzes modernster technologischer
Hilfsmittel ist bei Sonus faber die unverbrüchliche
Gewissheit verwurzelt, dass der einzig wahre Richter
über die gewählten Gestaltungsmerkmale letzten Endes
jenes wundervolle, unvergleichliche Instrument ist, das
sich menschliches Ohr nennt.
Dies ist einer der Hauptaspekte, von denen wir uns
seit Anbeginn bei der Konstruktion unserer Produkte
leiten lassen. In der Forschungsphase wird jeder
Lautsprecher nach diesem Bewertungskriterium
analysiert und eventuell ausgewählt. Alle für Homage
Vox verwendeten Komponenten werden von den
namhaftesten Herstellern exakt nach den Vorgaben von
Sonus faber gebaut.
Die letzten Handgriffe, denen eine Schlüsselrolle
zukommt, werden anschließend bei Sonus faber an
den Lautsprechern vorgenommen, bevor sie an die
Montagelinien gelangen.
Die „Abstimmung“, mithin die Auswahl und Kopplung
der einzelnen Lautsprechersätze, macht alle Paare so
„einzigartig“, wie die Violinen aus der Hand eines
Geigenbaumeisters.

DEUTSCH
ÖFFNEN DER VERPACKUNG
NEIGUNGSEINSTELLUNG
Alle Lautsprechersysteme von Sonus faber sind so verpackt, dass sie wirksam geschützt und sich gleichzeitig leicht
entnehmen lassen.
Trotzdem empfehlen wir, die folgenden allgemeinen Hinweise zu befolgen:
• Heben sie das Verpackungsmaterial für einen möglichen zukünftigen Versand auf.
• Tragen Sie beim Öffnen der Verpackung keine Uhren, Armbänder, Ringe oder Ähnliches, damit die
Lautsprechersysteme und ihre edlen Oberflächen nicht verkratzen können. Die gleiche Sorgfalt ist auf den Schutz
vor möglichen Metallteilen an der getragenen Kleidung zu verwenden wie etwa Reißverschlüssen, Knöpfen,
Gürtelschnallen oder Nieten.
• Öffnen Sie die Verpackung nach den auf der Verpackung befindlichen Angaben.
Spezielle Angaben:
• Die Verpackung unter Beachtung der auf dem Karton stehenden Angaben OBEN und UNTEN am Boden abstellen;
• Den oberen Teil der äußeren Verpackung öffnen (Abb. 1);
• Den als Feuchtigkeitssperre dienenden Beutel aufschneiden und den oberen Teil der Innenverpackung öffnen (Abb.
2 und 3);
• Die Zubehörschachtel entnehmen (Abb. 4);
• Das oben liegende Schutzmaterial aus Stratocell entfernen (Abb. 5 und 6);
• Das Lautsprechersystem aus der Verpackung nehmen (Abb. 7).
WICHTIG: Zur Entnahme des Lautsprechersystems aus der Verpackung werden zwei Personen benötigt.
Um Schädigungen von Personen oder des Lautsprechersystems zu verhindern, empfehlen wir eine korrekte Haltung,
wie in Abbildung 7 dargestellt.
Inhalt der Verpackung:
Neben dem Lautsprechersystem finden Sie in der Packung eine Zubehörschachtel mit folgendem Inhalt:
• Drahtspannmaske;
• Mikrofasertuch;
• Fläschchen mit Reinigungsmittel;
• Gewebeabdeckung gegen Staub.
Das Lautsprechersystem ist auf einer Basis montiert, die als Unterlage dient und die Neigungsverstellung ermöglicht.
Um die Neigung zu verstellen, wie folgt vorgehen:
• Das Lautsprechersystem um 90° drehen und auf einer der Seitenwände ablegen. Schützen Sie es mit dem Tuch, das
zum Lieferumfang gehört (Abb. 8 und 9);
• Die Drehknöpfe unter dem Lautsprechersystem lockern (Abb. 10);
• Die Basis vorsichtig in die gewünschte Neigung umpositionieren (Abb. 11), dann die Drehknöpfe kräftig festdrehen;
• Das Lautsprechersystem wieder auf seiner Unterlage positionieren (Abb. 8).
Um die Position des Lautsprechersystems an die akustischen Erfordernisse anzupassen, lässt sich die Position der Basis
um 180° umkehren und somit weiter neigen (siehe die Abb. 12a und 12b für die beiden Positionierungslösungen der
Basis).
Hierfür, wie folgt vorgehen:
• Die Basis entfernen, indem man die in Abb. 10 gezeigten Drehknöpfe ausdreht und entnimmt;
• Die Basis um 180° drehen;
• Die Basis wieder anbringen, die Drehknöpfe fest an das Lautsprechersystem schrauben;
• Das Lautsprechersystem wieder auf seiner Unterlage positionieren (Abb. 8).

TIPPS FÜR DIE
INSTALLATION:
HEIMKINO- UND
MEHRKANALSYSTEME
Das Lautsprechersystem Homage Vox wurde für
die Anwendung bei einem „Heimkino-“ oder einem
„Mehrkanalsystem“ entwickelt.
Guten Gewissens können wir Ihnen empfehlen,
die Lautsprechersysteme der Hauptkanäle (vorne)
fern von den Raumecken zu platzieren und von den
Seitenwänden ebenso wie von der Rückwand einen
Abstand von mindestens 70-80 cm einzuhalten.
In dieser Entfernung gibt es keine akustischen
Reflexionen, wie sie in der Nähe von Wänden und
Raumecken auftreten.
Die Lautsprechersysteme für die hinteren und seitlichen
Kanäle sind nach Möglichkeit so anzuordnen, wie in
Abb. 16 gezeigt. Das zentrale Lautsprechersystem
wird genau auf einer Linie mit der senkrechten, durch
die Bildschirmmitte verlaufenden Achse platziert,
während der Subwoofer unterschiedslos an jeder
beliebigen Stelle des Raums positioniert werden
kann. Es sollte nur vermieden werden, ihn in Ecknähe
aufzustellen.
Für weitere Einzelheiten zur optimalen Einrichtung
der Anlage lesen Sie bitte aufmerksam auch die
Angaben, die Ihrem Verstärkersystem beiliegen.
ANLEITUNG FÜR
DEN ANSCHLUSS
Vorher sind alle Geräte auszuschalten!
Auf dem rückwärtigen Paneel von Homage Vox
befinden sich die Klemmen für den Anschluss
der Gabelverbinder, der Bananenstecker und des
abgemantelten Kabels.
Für den Anschluss die beiden Endstücke des
Lautsprechersystems an die Ausgangsklemmen
für den mittleren Verstärkerkanal legen. Dabei
ist die Polung zu beachten, wie in Abb. 14 und 15
dargestellt.
Zuletzt sei daran erinnert, dass sich das sorgfältige
Festziehen der Kontakte und ihre regelmäßige
Überprüfung leistungsverbessernd auswirken.
MONTAGE DER
DRAHTSPANNMASKE
DieinderZubehörschachtelbefindlicheDrahtspannmaske
kann am Lautsprechersystem angebracht werden.
Gehen Sie bitte genau nach der folgenden Anleitung
vor:
• Das Lautsprechersystem um 90° drehen und auf
einer der Seitenwände ablegen. Schützen Sie es mit
dem Tuch, das zum Lieferumfang gehört (Abb. 8
und 9);
• Im unteren Teil des Lautsprechersystems beginnend,
die Stifte für die kleinen Stäbe der Drahtspannmaske
in die entsprechenden Führungen einfügen (Abb.
13a);
• Die Gummis der Maske spannen, bis die Stifte für
die kleinen Stäbe der Maske in die zugehörigen
Führungen im oberen Teil des Lautsprechersystems
eingeführt sind (Abb. 13b und 13c).
Soll die Drahtspannmaske entfernt werden, sind - von
oben nach unten - die Stifte der Stäbchen herauszuziehen.
WICHTIG: Während der - wie oben beschriebenen -
Anbringung oder Entfernung der Drahtspannmaske
ist sorgfältig darauf zu achten, dass die Front des
Lautsprechersystems keinen Schaden nimmt.

PFLEGE
Außer einer regelmäßigen allgemeinen Reinigung
erfordert das Lautsprechersystem keine besondere
Pflege. Das Holz des Gehäuses sollte nicht mit
Produkten wie Wachs oder Reinigungsmitteln
gesäubert werden, welche das Holz, die Lederbezüge
oder die Lautsprecher fleckig werden lassen
oder beschädigen könnten. Empfohlen wird die
Verwendung eines einfachen weichen Tuches
(beispielsweise aus Mikrofaser), das bei Bedarf leicht
angefeuchtet werden kann.
Für den Staub, der sich auf dem Möbelstück, den
Frontpaneelen und den Lautsprechern abgesetzt hat,
verwenden Sie bitte einen weichen Pinsel. Gehen
Sie äußerst vorsichtig vor, um die empfindlichen
Lautsprechermembranen, insbesondere des
Hochtöners, nicht zu beschädigen.
Holz ist ein natürlicher, lebendiger Werkstoff, der
empfindlich auf äußere Einflüsse reagiert.
Wir raten, das Lautsprechersystem besonders in den
SommermonatennichtinderNähevonWärmequellen,
Fenstern oder Glasflächen aufzustellen. Außerdem
empfiehlt es sich, das Lautsprechersystem keiner
direkten Sonneneinstrahlung auszusetzen.
Wenn Sie diese einfachen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
beachten, werden Sie lange Jahre ungetrübte Freude
an Ihrem kostbaren Lautsprechersystem haben.
Mit der Zeit wird sich der Klang weiter verbessern,
weil sich die die Bewegungsteile (Membranen
und Aufhängungen) erst einspielen müssen. Der
Schallraum reagiert immer besser, je häufiger
er gebraucht wird: Es gelten also die gleichen
Gesetzmäßigkeiten, wie für Saiteninstrumente!
GEWÄHRLEISTUNG
Die Lautsprechersysteme Sonus faber wurden nach
den höchsten Qualitätsstandards entworfen und
gebaut.
Es ist zwar unwahrscheinlich, aber möglich, dass
ein Schaden oder eine Fehlfunktion auftritt. In
diesem Fall wird für die von Ihnen erworbenen
Lautsprechersysteme natürlich Gewähr geleistet.
Es gelten die Bestimmungen in dem Land, in dem
das Produkt erworben wurde. In einem solchen
Fall bitten wir Sie, sich an den Händler Sonus faber
zu wenden, bei dem Sie die Lautsprechersysteme
gekauft haben und sich auf die obigen Bestimmungen
zu berufen.
Des Weiteren möchten wir Sie in Ihrem Interesse auf
Folgendes hinweisen:
• Bitte bewahren Sie den Kaufbeleg auf, um ihn bei
Bedarf dem Händler vorlegen zu können.
• Die reparaturbedürftigen Lautsprechersysteme
sind in ihrer Originalverpackung dem Händler
auszuhändigen, damit sie sicher zum autorisierten
Servicezentrum gebracht werden können. Dem
Produkt muss eine Beschreibung der festgestellten
Fehlfunktion oder des Fehlers beiliegen.
• Die Gewährleistung auf die Lautsprechersysteme
deckt Herstellungsfehler ab. Voraussetzung ist,
dass Sie nicht auseinandergebaut, geändert oder
manipuliert worden sind. Außerdem dürfen Sie
nicht für einen Gebrauch eingesetzt oder auf
eine Weise verwendet worden sein, die in diesem
Handbuch nicht vorgesehen ist.

LE PROJET
L’origine du projet Homage Vox remonte à l’intention
de Sonus faber de compléter la gamme Homage avec
un canal central dédié qui concentre les expériences,
les solutions techniques, esthétiques et fonctionnelles
développées à partir de the Sonus faber et affinées avec
Amati futura, Guarneri evolution et Aida.
Ce projet vise à capitaliser les expériences du passé, en
leur donnant une valeur profonde, à la recherche d’une
reproduction de plus en plus fidèle du son. Homage Vox
a la tâche de reproduire les différentes caractéristiques
du son de la voix humaine, dans un système multicanal
ou home theatre (cinéma à domicile).
Homage Vox est le digne couronnement de la gamme
prestigieuse Homage, parmi le plus représentatives de la
valeur de l’expérience Sonus faber.
LE PROJET ÉLECTRO-ACOUSTIQUE
Le canal central Homage Vox est lui aussi équipé des
principales nouveautés structurelles concernant soit la
structure du cabinet, soit les solutions technologiques
contenues dans les autres haut-parleurs de la gamme
Homage.
SYSTÈME
Haut-parleur horizontal à 3 voies, écran avec
cavités séparées et accordées, système d’accord para-
apériodique “Stealth-reflex”. La série de 5 éléments a
été conçue pour une performance idéale concernant
la dispersion dans les systèmes de reproduction home
cinéma.
Le type midrange-tweeter et le crossover ont été
optimisés grâce à la configuration “inter-aural midrange
array” (i.a.m.a.). La distance entre les centres acoustiques
des deux midranges reproduit la distance entre les deux
oreilles, afin de maximiser la clarté et l’intelligibilité de
la voix humaine reproduite.
L’ÉCRIN ACOUSTIQUE
Le cabinet propose à nouveau la forme en luth dans
sa plus haute expression. La courbure progressive
réalisée en bois multicouche okumé à veines croisées
est obtenue avec des couches séparées et atténuées, par
le biais de la technique “constrained layer damping”.
L’espace acoustique de chaque transducteur est optimisé
pour atteindre la quasi-perfection théorique, avec des
structures de renfort placées d’une façon stratégique à
l’intérieur de chaque chambre acoustique.
Les différentes cavités de l’espace acoustique de chaque
section sont isolées par des matériaux de différents types
les plus indiqués pour chaque application spécifique,
parmi lesquels la mousse thermoplastique à cellules
ouvertes, les matériaux fibreux similaires au feutre
utilisé dans les pianos.
HAUT-PARLEURS
Malgré l’utilisation des outils technologiques les plus
modernes, chez Sonus faber nous sommes convaincus
du fait que le seul vrai juge de nos choix relatifs à la
conception, c’est après tout un instrument magnifique et
incomparable : l’oreille humaine.
Voilà l’un des aspects principaux qui inspire le travail
de conception de nos systèmes de haut-parleurs, depuis
toujours. Pendant la phase de recherche, chaque haut-
parleur est analysé et sélectionné tout en considérant ce
critère d’évaluation. Tous les éléments utilisés dans le
Homage Vox sont fabriqués sur la base des spécifications
techniques de Sonus faber, par les producteurs les plus
affirmés et prestigieux dans ce secteur.
Les dernières retouches importantes sur les haut-
parleurs sont effectuées à la main chez Sonus faber avant
de les envoyer aux lignes d’assemblage.
L’“accordage” de chaque couple de haut-parleurs (la
sélection et leur union) rend chaque couple “unique”
comme tout violon fabriqué par un grand maître luthier.

OUVERTURE DE L’EMBALLAGE
RÉGLAGE DE L’INCLINAISON
Tous les haut-parleurs Sonus faber ont été emballés de façon à ce qu’ils soient protégés efficacement et, en même temps,
qu’ils soient faciles à désemballer.
Nous recommandons en tout cas de suivre les instructions générales suivantes :
• Conserver les matériaux d’emballage pour tout transport futur éventuel ;
• Ne pas porter de montre, bracelets, bagues etc. pendant l’ouverture de l’emballage, afin d’éviter de rayer les haut-
parleurs et leurs précieuses finitions. De même, faire attention à protéger les haut-parleurs d’éventuelles parties
métalliques des vêtements, telles que des fermetures éclair, des boutons, des boucles, des rivets, etc.
• Ouvrir l’emballage en respectant les instructions imprimées ;
Instructions spécifiques:
• Poser à terre l’emballage en respectant les indications HAUT et BAS imprimées sur le carton;
• Ouvrir la partie supérieure de l’emballage extérieur (fig. 1);
• Couper la housse de protection et ouvrir la partie supérieure de l’emballage intérieur (fig. 2 et 3);
• Extraire la boîte des accessoires (fig. 4);
• Enlever la mousse Stratocell qui protège la partie supérieure (fig. 5 et 6);
• Extraire le haut-parleur de l’emballage (fig. 7).
IMPORTANT: Il faut deux personnes pour extraire le haut-parleur de son emballage.
Afin d’éviter des dommages aux personnes et/ou au haut-parleur même il faut adopter une bonne posture comme
indiqué dans la figure 7.
Contenu de l’emballage:
En plus du haut-parleur, à l’intérieur de l’emballage vous trouverez la boîte des accessoires qui contient:
• Un filet réticulé;
• Un linge en microfibre;
• Un flacon de détergent;
• Une housse anti-poussière en tissu.
Le haut-parleur est installé sur une base d’appui qui permet de régler l’inclinaison.
Pour modifier l’inclinaison, suivre les instructions suivantes:
• Faire pivoter le haut-parleur de 90° et le poser sur un flanc, en ayant soin de le protéger avec le linge livré dans
l’emballage (fig. 8 et 9);
• Desserrer les petits pieds sous le haut-parleur (fig. 10);
• Modifier délicatement la position de la base jusqu’à atteindre l’inclinaison souhaitée (fig. 11), ensuite bien serrer
les petits pieds;
• Remettre le haut-parleur sur sa base d’appui (fig. 8).
Pour adapter la position du haut-parleur à vos exigences pendant l’écoute, il est possible d’invertir la position de la
base de 180°, en obtenant ainsi une plus grande inclinaison (voir les figures 12a et 12b pour les deux solutions de
positionnement de la base).
Pour effectuer cette opération, veuillez suivre les instructions suivantes:
• Enlever la base en dévissant et en enlevant complètement les petits pieds comme indiqué dans la fig. 10;
• Faire pivoter la position de la base de 180°;
• Remonter la base en vissant et en serrant bien fort les petits pieds du haut-parleur;
• Remettre le haut-parleur sur sa base d’appui (fig. 8).

CONSEILS POUR
L’INSTALLATION:
SYSTÈMES DE
CINÉMA À DOMICILE
ET MULTICANAL
Le haut-parleur Homage Vox est conçu pour être
utilisé dans un système de cinéma à domicile ou
multicanal.
Nous vous conseillons de placer les haut-parleurs des
canaux principaux (frontaux) loin des coins de la salle
et éloignés d’au moins 70-80 cm des murs latéraux et
de fond, à l’abri des réflexions acoustiques ayant lieu
à proximité des murs et des coins de la pièce.
Les haut-parleurs des canaux postérieurs et latéraux
doivent être placés possiblement comme indiqué dans
la figure 16, c’est-à-dire avec le haut-parleur central
parfaitement aligné avec l’axe vertical qui passe par
le centre de l’écran vidéo, tandis que le subwoofer
peut être placé dans n’importe quel endroit de la salle
d’écoute, toutefois en évitant de le mettre près des
coins de la pièce.
Pour des renseignements ultérieurs sur la meilleure
mise à point du système, veuillez aussi lire
attentivement les instructions livrées avec votre
système d’amplification.
INSTRUCTIONS
POUR LA
CONNEXION
Cette opération doit être absolument effectuée
pendant que l’appareil est éteint!
Les bornes de connexions pour les raccordements à
fourches, bananes et avec câble dégainé sont situées
sur le panneau arrière de Homage Vox.
La connexion doit être effectuée en raccordant les
deux terminaux du haut-parleur aux bornes de sortie
correspondant au canal central de l’amplificateur,
tout en respectant la polarité comme indiqué dans
les figures 14 et 15.
Nous souhaitons rappeler que le bon serrage des
contacts et leur contrôle périodique contribuent à
améliorer les performances.
INSTALLATION
DU FILET RÉTICULÉ
Il est possible d’appliquer au haut-parleur le filet
réticulé livré dans la boîte des accessoires en suivant
attentivement les instructions suivantes:
• Faire pivoter le haut-parleur de 90° et le poser sur
un flanc, en ayant soin de le protéger avec le linge
livré dans l’emballage (fig. 8 et 9);
• Installer les pivots des baguettes du filet dans les
guides, en commençant par la partie inférieure du
haut-parleur (fig. 13a);
• Tendre les élastiques du filet jusqu’à installer les
pivots des baguettes dans les guides situés dans la
partie supérieure du haut-parleur (fig. 13b et 13c).
Pour enlever le filet réticulé, il faut désenfiler les
pivots des baguettes en commençant par le haut et en
procédant vers le bas.
IMPORTANT: Pendant les opérations sus-indiquées
d’installation et d’enlèvement du filet, il faut faire
très attention à ne pas endommager le partie avant
du haut-parleur.
FRANÇAIS

ENTRETIEN
Les haut-parleurs ne nécessitent pas d’entretien
spécial, sauf que des opérations régulières de
nettoyage. Pour nettoyer le bois de la caisse il est
déconseillé d’utiliser des produits tels que la cire ou
les détergents, qui pourraient tacher ou endommager
le bois, les revêtements en cuir ou les haut-parleurs
mêmes. Utilisez simplement un linge doux (par
exemple en microfibre), éventuellement à peine
humide. S’il y a de la poussière sur le meuble, les
panneaux frontaux et les haut-parleurs, utilisez
un pinceau doux en faisant très attention à ne pas
endommager les membranes délicates des haut-
parleurs, surtout celle du tweeter.
Le bois est un matériau naturel et toujours vivant,
il est donc sensible aux agents extérieurs. Evitez de
placer le haut-parleur à proximité de sources de
chaleur ou près des fenêtres ou des baies vitrées,
surtout pendant les mois d’été. Evitez également
l’exposition directe aux rayons du soleil.
Toutes ces simples précautions conserveront
parfaitement et intactes vos superbes haut-parleurs
pendant beaucoup d’années.
Le temps contribuera à améliorer le son du fait
du rodage des parties en mouvement (membranes
et suspensions), et la chambre acoustique réagira
de mieux en mieux plus elle sera utilisée : ce sont
les mêmes règles qui valent pour les instruments
musicaux à cordes!
GARANTIE
Les haut-parleurs Sonus faber ont été conçus et
fabriqués dans le respect des plus hauts standards
de qualité.
Toutefois, dans le cas (très improbable) d’une panne
ou d’un mauvais fonctionnement, les haut-parleurs
que vous avez achetés sont couverts par la garantie
selon les termes prévus par la réglementation du
pays où vous les avez achetés. Par conséquent, en
ce cas nous vous invitons à contacter le revendeur
Sonus faber où vous avez acheté les haut-parleurs et
à vous référer à ladite réglementation.
En plus, c’est dans votre intérêt que nous vous
rappelons:
• de conserver le document prouvant l’achat afin
de le montrer au revendeur en cas de besoin;
• de remettre au revendeur les haut-parleurs
à réparer dans leur emballage original, afin
qu’ils puissent être transportés en toute sécurité
au Service après-vente agréé, accompagnés
