Operate

unit
only

For
AC
operation,
use
the
AC
power
adaptor
recommended
for
the
unit.
Do
not
use
any
other
type.
For
battery
operation,
use
two
size
AA
(R6)
batteries.

The
nameplate
indicating
operating
voltage,
etc.,
is
located
on
the
bottom
of
the
unit.

Do
not
leave
the
unit
in
a
location
near
heat
sources,
or
in
a
place
subject
to
direct
sunlight,
excessive
dust
or
mechanical
shock.

When
the
internal
batteries
are
not
to
be
used
for
a
long
period
of
time,
remove
them
to
avoid
damage
caused
by
battery
leakage
and
subsequent
corrosion.

unit
has not
been
used
for
a
long
period
of
time,
set
it
in
the
playback
mode
to
warm
it
up
for
a
few
minutes
before
inserting
a
cassette.

Shoutd
any
solid
object
or
liquid
fall
into

unit,

batteries

disconnect
the
AC
power
adaptor,
and
have
the
unit
checked
by
qualified
personnel
before
operating
it
any
further.

strong
magnet

used

speaker,
keep
personal
credit
cards
using
magnetic
coding
or
spring-wound
watches

from

unit
to
prevent
possible
damage
from

cassettes
longer

minutes
The
use
of
cassettes
longer
than
90
minutes
is
not
recommended
except
for
a
long
continuous
recording
or
playback.
The
tapes
used
for
these
cassettes
are
very
thin
and
tends
to
be
stretched
easily.
Note
on
cassette
types
For
recording,
we
recommend
the
use
of
TYPE
|
(normal)
tapes
only.
Do
not
use
TYPE
II
(CrO2)
or
TYPE
IV
(metal)
tapes.
