Purpose of this manual
This manual is the Service manual of the Wide View Camera XIS-10DC.
This manual is intended for use by trained system and service engineers, and
provides the information of maintenance and detailed service (parts replacement,
guideline for adjustment, schematic diagrams, board layouts, detailed parts list).

The PTZ camera (SNC-RZ30NB) of the unit is the equivalent of the Network
Camera SNC-RZ30N. Refer to the service manual of SNC-RZ30N if service for the
PTZ camera is required.

Service Overview

The screws and wires of the outer parts are made in
stainless steel to be adaptable for outdoor use.
If the parts have fallen or lost, use the parts that are
specified in the parts list.

1-2-1. Louver
Removal
1. Loosen the screw, and remove the cap in the direction
of the arrow.

When removing the cap, turn it clockwise (looking
from the bottom) in about 15d, and remove the three
projections of the louver plate from the three holes in
the cap.
2. Remove the set screw (PSW5 x10), and remove the
wire from the cap.

3. Remove the four hexagon socket head screws, and
remove the louver plate and the louver.
Installation
4. Reattach the louver in the reverse order of steps 1 to 3.

When attaching the louver, make sure to put the wire
through the holes.
1-2-2. Lower Cover
Removal
1. Loosen the four screws, and remove the lower cover.
2. Remove the set screw (PSW5 x10), and remove the
wire from the lower cover.
Installation
3. Reattach the lower cover in the reverse order of steps 1
and 2.

1-2-3. Clear Dome Assembly
Removal
1. Remove the lower cover. (Refer to Section 1-2-2.)
2. Loosen the four screws, and remove the clear dome
assembly and the dome fix plate.
Installation
3. Reattach the clear dome assembly and the dome fix
plate, and tighten the four screws.

When attaching the clear dome assembly, align the
hole of the clear dome assembly to the positioning
boss of the lower cover.
4. Reattach the lower cover. (Refer to Section 1-2-2.)

1-3. Backup Battery Replacement
The vanadium lithium rechargeable battery is mounted on
the SNT-1 board of the unit for the backup.
Replace the rechargeable battery in the following proce-
dure as required.

When replacing the part, be sure to use the specified one
below.
Replacement with a part other than the specified part will
result in fire hazards and electric hazards.

When replacing the battery, check that the battery orienta-
tion (+_) is correct.
Removal
1. Remove the louver. (Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
2. Remove the PS-699 board. (Refer to Section 2-9-1.)
3. Remove the SNT-1 board. (Refer to Section 2-9-2.)
4. Unsolder the vanadium-lithium rechargeable battery
from the SNT-1 board.

Installation
5. Solder a new vanadium-lithium rechargeable battery to
the SNT-1 board.

.Be sure that the soldering iron does not contact with
the battery directly.
.Perform soldering at a temperature under 350 dC
within 5 seconds. When applying the soldering iron
again, wait until the battery has cooled down to
room temperature.
6. Reassemble the unit in the reverse order of steps 1 to
3.
1-4. Precautions when Replacing the
Parts of SNT-1 Board
When RTC (IC152), backup battery (BT151) or diode
(D309) on the SNT-1 board is replaced, the calendar/clock
data stored in RTC (IC152) is erased.
When the data is erased, set the calendar/clock data again
referring to Section 4-5.
RTC (IC152)
The calendar/clock function in RTC (IC152) is operated by
a power supplied from the backup battery (BT151) even in
the state of a board (mount board).
When replacing RTC (IC152), be careful that the pattern of
pin 8 does not short with the patterns of pin 1 (+3.3 V) or
pin 4 (GND).
When a short occurs, the backup battery (BT151) is
wasted.

Replace the backup battery correctly according to Section
1-3.

1-5. Description of Internal Switch
SNT-1 Board

1-6. Circuit Protection Parts (Fuse)
The PS-699 board of the unit equips the fuse as a circuit
protection part.
The fuse melts if overcurrent flows or the unit overheats
due to a unit problem.
When replacing the fuse, be sure to use the following
designated parts.
Correct the cause resulting in the melting of the fuse before
replacement.

Use Designated Parts
The fuse/IC link is an important part for ensuring safety.
Replacement with parts other than those designated will
result in fire hazards and electric hazards. Therefore be
sure to use only the designated parts.

following requirement specification.
Power voltage: DC 11.0 V to 13.8 V (at the rug terminal)

1-8. Periodic Replacement Parts
It is necessary to periodically replace the following parts of
this unit.
For replacing these parts, refer to Section 2.

continuous running according to the specification of this
unit.
In addition, the replacement period varies depending on the
environment and conditions of how the part has been used.

1-9. Replacing the Electrolytic Capacitor
The electrolytic capacitor used in this unit needs to be
replaced periodically.
When a service for repair or maintenance is provided, and
if the unit has been used for a long period of time, it is
recommended that the following electrolytic capacitor (or
assembled parts that include it) to be replaced once after
having consent from the customer. Refer to Section 5-3 for
the part number of the replacing part.

The length of the operating life varies depending on the
environment and conditions of how the part has been used.
Make note that the part is not guaranteed for the number of
years described below. It is served as a guide for replace-
ment.

1-10. Note on Desiccant
After servicing (repair/check), immediately before rein-
stalling the unit, be sure to replace the desiccant.
For replacing the desiccant, refer to Section 2-8.

The desiccant is used to prevent dew condensation in the
clear dome.
1-11. Unleaded Solder
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with a
lead free mark (LF) indicating that the solder contains no
lead.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come
printed with the lead free mark due to their particular size.)

.Be sure to use the unleaded solder for the printed circuit
board printed with the lead free mark.
.The unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 dC
higher than the ordinary solder, therefore, it is recom-
mended to use the soldering iron having a temperature
regulator.
.An ordinary soldering iron can be used but the iron tip
needs to be applied to the solder joint for a slightly
longer time. The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel
off if the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful.

2-2. Removing/Reattaching the
PTZ Camera (SNC-RZ30NB)
Removal
1. Remove the louver. (Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
2. Loosen the four screws, and remove the
upper case assembly.
3. Disconnect the harness from the connectors
(CN12, CN13, and CN15 to CN17) on the
PS-699 board.
4. Remove the harness from the two clamps.
5. Disconnect the harness from the connectors
(CN2, CN14, and CN18) on the PS-699
board.
6. Disconnect the harness from the connectors
(CN3, CN13, and CN14) on the SNT-1
board.
7. Remove the four screws, and remove the PTZ
camera assembly.
