1. All Sony digital still cameras and camcorders, except models DSC-D700,
DSC-D770, DSCR-TRV900, and DSR-PD100A, store images on a Memory
Stick media in the DCF file format, which is required for playback on these
televisions. If the image file is re-named or manipulated the DCF file format
must be restored before playback is possible. Images captured on all other
digital still cameras and camcorders will need to be formatted on a PC to
the DCF file format (with third party software not supplied with the television)
before they can be viewed.
2. Hi-Scan 1080i Display: Works through analog component video (Y/PB/PR)
connections and DVI-HDTV interface. Not compatible with such digital
connections that may become available in the future.
3. High-Definition reception: Free over-the-air broadcasts where available
(check with your cable operator for compatability) and/or DIRECTV®high-
definition subscription services through a DIRECTV HDTV Satellite Receiver.
4. Power output: All channels driven into 8 ohms, 50 Hz – 20,000 Hz at no
more than 10% THD, measured from auxiliary input to load.

It doesn’t get any better than this. Sony’s Hi-Scan
1080i2inputs accept the full 1080i signal from a
High-Definition3receiver, such as Sony’s SAT-HD200,
or satellite and reproduce an image that’s truly
incredible. These inputs also allow you to experience
the full impact of progressive scan (480p) DVD players
for unbelievable home theater viewing.
To let you enjoy movies in their full glory, Sony’s
CineMotion reverse 3-2 pull-down technology
preserves the integrity of movie film frames to
create exceptional, consistent, fine details in 480-line
progressive scan (480p).

HD Detailer™Wideband
Video Amplifier
All televisions have a video amplifier, the device that
takes the original video source and “amplifies”it to
deliver a useable signal to your CRT or television
screen. The bandwidth rating of a video amplifier
determines the amount of detail that can be displayed
on a television. Sony’s HD Detailer Wideband Video
Amplifier delivers greater detail on even the finest
images by getting the most out of high-bandwidth
sources, such as the 1080i signal available from some
set-top boxes and satellite feeds.

Memory Stick®
Media Playback
It’s the fastest way from your camera to your
television. If you’re one of the millions that have
a digital camera, camcorder or computer that
utilizes Memory Stick®media, then you can enjoy
these awesome images on your WV600 series
projection television.1Simply insert the Memory
Stick media into the slot on the front of the
television and choose one of two menu options:
“Slide Show”displays full-screen photos, one
after another. “Set Up”allows you to set Slide
Show interval, repeat option, rotate photos and
display file information.
“Index”displays a “thumbnail”image of all photos,
which can be accessed with the remote control.
3D Digital
Comb Filter

Sony’s 3D Digital Comb Filter gives you higher
horizontal resolution, higher vertical resolution
and reduces video “noise”at the same time. You’ll
also get exceptional gray-scale gradation, thanks to

stereo speakers built into the television cabinet,

DVI-HDTV Interface
Sony Hi-Scan®televisions employ a DVI (Digital
Visual Interface) input which takes a high-bandwidth,
uncompressed, high-speed signal from a digital video
source, such as Sony’s SAT-HD200 High-Definition
Receiver, and delivers it to the monitor. The overall
result is a fully digital high-definition connection
that’s becoming the industry standard…and one that
lets viewers enjoy the purest HDTV signal possible.
More sophisticated than P-I-P features, Sony’s
advanced circuitry can display two programs side-by-
side, all without an additional source. Even greater
flexibility allows you to adjust sizing and placement.
Made possible by Sony’s Multi-Image Driver X (MID™X)
circuitry, you can even view a High-Definition image
right alongside a conventional picture.
