The LlNE OUT allows you to build multipleamplifier systems without havingto use splitter
cords to distributethe signal. Now it is simply a matter of bringing one set of RCAS into
the first amplifier,then using the line out RCA jacks as the feed to the next amplifier.

The mountingpositionof your Amplifierwlll have a great effecton its ability to
dissipate the heatgeneratedduring normaloperation.
Under normalconditions,the heatsink will dissipate sufficient heatto avoid thermal
shutdown. However pleasedo not installthe amplifier ina woodenbox or similar
deviceas this will preventheat dissipation intothe atmosphere.

Temperatures incartrunks have beenmeasuredas high as (1 55'F) inthe summer
time. sincethethermalshut-downpoint for the amplifier
is (1 58'F) it is easy to
see that itmust bemountedfor maximumcooling capability. To achieve
maximumadvantage of convectionair flow inanenclosed trunk, mountthe
amplifier ina horizontalposition.
Coolingrequirementsare considerablyrelaxedwhen mounting inside the passenger
compartmentsince the driver will notoffenallow temperatures to reacha critical
point. Floor mountingunderthe seat
is usuallysatisfactoryas longas there is at least
1 inchof clearance (2.54 cm)abovethe Amplifier'sfins for.ventilation.
A. Selecta suitablelocationthat is convenientfor mounting, is accessiblefor wiring.
And hasampleroom for air circulationand cooling.
B. Use the amplifier as a templatetomarkthe mountingholes. RemovetheAmplifier
anddrillholes. Use extremecaution,inspect underneathsurfacebeforedrilling!
C. SecuretheAmplifier usingthe screws provided.

Tunina on the Am~lifier
The amplifier automatically turns on within a few seconds after remotevoltage Is applied.
If your system
is set-upso that the headunitprovidesthe remotevoltage;then it would
turn on when your stere6 is turned on. Notethat there are alternate means of providing
the
12 volt remotecontrol signal, includinginstallingand auxiliaryswitch.
Adjusting The Audio Level

As statedpreviously, it is importantto obtaina close matchbetweenthe source
unit's outputvoltageandthe amplifier's sensitivityor admittancesetting.
1. Use a screwdriver to turn GAlN (MIN I MAX)fully counterclockwiseto MIN.
2. Turn the auto sound system's volume controlto about one-thirdof its full range.
3. Adjust GAIN (MIN I MAX) to a comfortablelisteninglevel.
4. Turn upthe auto sound system's volume controluntilthe sound beginstodistort.
Then immediatelyturn the volume downto a pointjust beforewhere the
distortionbegan.
Caution
: Never turn upthe autosound system's volume controlmorethan
neededtoadjusttheaudiolevel, morethantwo thirds of Its maxlmumvolume.
5. Adjust GAIN (MIN / MAX) untilthe sound is atthe maximumlevelyou want the
amplifierto produce.
6. Adjust the auto soundsystem's volumecontrolto a comfortable listening level.
