EFHS INSTALLATION & OPERATION GUIDE
Installation should be carried out by a competent person with previous plumbing experience.
All installations should comply with local bylaws.
Equipment supplied
(Quantities depend on system choice)
Housing system
1. Pressure gauges
2. SFH-PK plastic housing
3. Housing bracket
Note: Standard and large diameter double and triple
systems have a red pressure release button
Accessories
4. 1 x Housing spanner
5. 1 x Screw kit
6. 1 x SPECTRUM brand label
7. Cartridge replacement label
Note: Double and triple systems include grey
connecting nipples
Before starting, shut off the main supply to the location where the unit is to be installed. Clear the location of any
hazards, ie electrical.
1. Using the housing bracket, mark out the location for af xing
the system, ensuring a minimum 1 ½" clearance at the base
for bowl removal (required for  lter cartridge replacement).
2. Remove the bowl(s) to make installation easier.
3. Af x to the mounting surface NOTE: screws supplied are
not suitable for all mounting surfaces. Use  ttings suitable
for installation requirements. Use TABLE 1 (on right) to work
out the best mounting option based on weight.
4. Insert the cartridge(s) in to the bowl(s).
5. Fit bowl(s) in to head(s) and hand tighten (for multiple
housing ensure the cartridge con guration is as desired).
6. Turn the water back on and depress the red pressure relief
button to purge any air where applicable.
7. Check for leaks around system.
8. Run the system until the  lter(s) has been  ushed
thoroughly (approx. 5 litres).
9. Check for leaks before leaving the system in operation.

Equipment required (use appropriate PPE)
• Bucket
• Cleaning solution
• Silicone grease
• Housing bowl spanner
• Replacement cartridge(s)
Before starting, shut off the supply to the location where the unit is installed. Clear the location of any hazards,
ie electrical.
1. Place the bucket under the system to catch any spilled water.
2. Use the spanner to loosen the bowl(s).
3. Continue to unscrew the bowl(s) by hand.
4. Empty the contents of the housing(s) into the bucket.
5. Remove the O-ring(s).
6. Make up a cleaning solution (following the concentration instructions detailed on the solution).
7. Clean bowl(s) and head(s) thoroughly.
8. Dispose of cleaning solution in the appropriate manner and replace with clean liquid.
9. Thoroughly rinse the bowl(s) and head(s).
10. Wipe the O-ring(s) clean and lubricate using silicone grease.
11. Reseat the O-ring(s).
12. Unwrap the new lter(s) and place in the bowl(s).
13. Fit bowl(s) in to head(s) and hand tighten (for multiple housings ensure the cartridge conguration is as desired).
14. Turn the water back on and depress the red pressure relief button to purge any air where applicable.
15. Check for leaks around system.
16. Run the system until the lter(s) has been ushed thoroughly (approx. 5 litres).
17. Check for leaks before leaving the system in operation.
18. Make note of the changeout date on the label included.
