Back up your data
As with any portable player, you must back up the drive regularly. The manufacturer is
not responsible for lost data.

Connecting to the computer
Connect the player (3.5mm USB/headphone Jack) to your PC USB port as shown
through equipped USB cable
The player will turn on automatically and display "USB connected" on the display. The
player will appear as a drive letter on your computer, a Mass Storage Class (MSC)
device, and behave as a detachable drive for file transfer in one or both directions.
Charging the player
The player charges automatically every time you connect it to your computer. To fully
charge the player, make sure your computer is on and the device is connected for at
least 3 hours. Refer to the battery level icon on the display to check the battery level.
Recharge the player when the icon is empty.
Notes: After use, shake and blow off the surface water on the earphone and Aquabeat
2.0 or use absorbent cloth to dry it.
The earphone carries a 90 day warranty for manufacturer defects.

1. General Control
1.1 Turning the player on/off
To turn on the player, press and hold “►||” till the startup logo shown on display.
To turn off the player, press and hold “►||” till the power off logo shown on display.

1.2 Resetting the player
If the player stops operating properly, you can reset it by pressing “M” key for 10s.
1.3 Lock/unlock control
To unlock the set, press and hold “M” key again till Lock icon disappear from
the top line of screen. To cancel or adjust lock setting, please go into Settings and
choose Auto Lock by clicking the volume button.
2. Using the menu
2.1 Main menu (Home menu)
The player’s main menu allows you to access Music, Radio, Pedometer, Swim Fitness
and Settings. Press +/- to scroll up and down the list of menu items. Press “>” or “►||”
to enter your selection. Press M to go back to upper menu level.
2.2 Option menu
The option menu appears if you press “M” key at the playback (Now playing) screen
while listening to the player or Pedometer operating. It provides different options
depending on what you are listening to when you press “M”.
2.3 Menu navigation
When a menu is displayed:
Press +and –to scroll up and down the list of menu items
Press“>” or “►||” to go to the next menu level.
Press “M” to return to the previous menu level
If the highlighted item is playable (for example, a song), press “>” or “►||” to start the
playback.

If the highlighted item indicates the current setting (for example, the Repeat mode),
press “>” or “►||”into the setting and press +and –to scroll up and down the options.
To choose the option, press “>” or “►||”.
2.4 The Home menu
At Music screen, pressing “>” or “►||” will bring user to music.
Pressing “>” or “►||”will bring user to Radio menu and can choose the radio station or
playing FM recording files.
At Pedometer screen, pressing “>” or “►||”will bring user into Pedometer menu.
Pressing “►||” again, user can start/pause Pedometer. Pressing “M” can choose to
save, review the recording list or back to Main menu.
At Swim Fitness screen, pressing “>” or “►||”will bring user into Swim Fitness menu.
Pressing “►||” again, user can start/pause Swim Fitness. Pressing “M” can choose to
save, review the recording list or back to Main menu.

Pressing “>” or “►||”will bring user into Settings menu and change player settings.
3. Music Playback
3.1 Playback screen

< Skips to the previous file, press and hold to scan backward
> Skips to the next file, press and hold to scan forward
►|| Starts/pauses playback
M: Shows/ hides the Option menu
+or –Increases or decreases the volume during playback
3.3 Option menu (music playback)
Press “M” at the playback (Now playing) screen to show the Option menu. Press +or –
to highlight an option and then press “>” or “►||”to confirm the selection or change
the setting.
The following options are available:
(1) Repeat: press “>” or “►||”repeatedly to select repeat current one or all files
(2) Shuffle: to play randomly when shuffle is activated.
(3) Equalizer: to select an equalizer mode. Options available: Natural, Rock, Pop,
Classic, Soft, Jazz, DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost).
(4) Music files: to review all the songs in Aquabeat 2
(5) Pedometer: to activate pedometer function and operation as the music is playing.

(6) Swim Fitness: to activate pedometer function and operation as the music is playing.
Press and Hold “M” at the playback (Now Playing) screen can bring the unit back to
navigation list and perform other functions.
4. Radio
FM auto searching station
For the first time Radio is entered (no preset is stored before), unit will automatically
search whole band and store any found station into preset. After it’s done, unit will stay
on the first preset and tune to this station.
Play FM Radio
To turn the radio on
In the home menu, press + or –to select Radio and press “>” or “►||”to enter in, the
last frequency will be automatically tuned.
Radio menu
To access menu press “M” key during Radio playing.
(1) Save to Preset: store the currently playing station as a preset, maximum 30 stations
can be saved.
(2) Auto Search: search the radio stations automatically and save them.
(3) Pedometer: Go into the Pedometer screen.
(4) Swim Fitness: Go into the Swim Fitness screen.
5. Pedometer
5.1 To record your running details:
To record your run details (calorie burnt and distance completed).
In the home menu, press + or –to select Pedometer and press “>” or “►||”to enter into
Pedometer screen.
To press ►|| to start the pedometer and stopwatch (calories counting) at the same time

To press the M button into the option menu, you can save the record, delete records,
review the records. (Pedometer is still counting.)
5.2 To track your records
In the home menu, press + or –to select Pedometer and press “>” or “►||”to enter into
Pedometer menu.
Press M button into option menu and press + or –to choose the Records List for detail
checking. (Store up to 20 pedometer sessions.)
5.3 Personal Info
For accurate use of the pedometer, personal information are required, user can input
corresponding data with the following procedures.
In the Home menu, press +/- to choose Settings and press “>” or “►||”to enter into
Settings menu.
Press +/- to go to Personal Info and press “>” or “►||”to enter into Personal Info menu.
Then, please select Stride, Weight, Arm length, Pool length or Unit to press “>” or “►||”
to go into the info setting.
Press +/- to select the options or add / minus the setting data.
If completed, please press “>” or “►||”to confirm the data.
6. Swim Fitness
6.1 To record your swimming details:
To record your swimming details (stroke counting, distance, calorie burnt and lap
counting).
In the home menu, press + or –to select Swim Fitness and press “>” or “►||”to enter
into Swim Fitness screen.

To press ►|| to start Swim Fitness and stopwatch counting at the same time
To press the M button into the option menu, you can save the record, delete records,

6.2 To track your records

into Swim Fitness screen.
Press M button into option menu and press + or –to choose the Records List for detail

6.3 Personal Info

7. Settings
7.1 Changing the player’s settings
To change the player settings:
(1) Press and hold “M” key several times to navigate back the Home menu.
(2) Press + or –to select Settings and press “>” or “►||”to enter the settings menu.
(3) Press +or –to select a setting and then press “>” or “►||”to change it.
Power Save
• To set the time interval (Close, 1, 2, 5 or 10 minute) before the player turns off if no key
is pressed.
Language
• To change the language of the player menu with 22 languages.
Display (Backlight)
• To choose the duration (Close, 10, 20, 30 seconds or 1 minute) before the screensaver
activates.
Auto Lock
• To choose the time interval (Close, 10, 20, 30 seconds or 1 minute) before Auto lock
activates.
System Tools
• To choose Delete (song deletion), Format, Restore Defaults (to reset all menu as
factory defaults) and Sys Info (to show the amount of free space available and the
firmware version)
Personal Info
• To choose Stride, Weight, Arm Length, Pool Length and Unit and input personal
information.
