8.2. Cleaning of the gasket and the sieve
When the lter with ground coffee is attached on the brew group, residue of coffee will accumulate at the connection of the
lter basket and the group head. If there is an excessive buildup of these remains, they may prevent the proper insertion and
locking of the lter on the group head. Moreover, these remains can even block the normal ow of water through the group
head
•In order to prevent this problem, it is necessary to regularly carry out the following cleaning procedure:
•Place the cleaning membrane in the lter basket without detergent.
•Place the lter in the brew group without locking it. THE FILTER MUST BE LOOSE.
•Turn on the Continuous Cycle (by pressing a button or by selecting the option on the electronic control panel).
•Perform movements like those made when the lter is inserted/removed in/from the brew group without locking it. Water
will now ow around the lter, freely owing through the connection of the lter basket and the group head and removing
contamination and coffee residue. Take special care because the owing water is very hot and can cause serious burns.

CONTINUOUS-CYCLE
(press and hold from 1-8 seconds)
The „continuous cycle” button has 3 functions depending on how long it is pressed:
Holding for less than 1 second: Activates the dispensing of hot water for brewing drinks (only applies to models without the
hot water water tap).
Holding for over 8 seconds: Entry to the programming menu. This function is explained in the subsequent section of this
manual.
9.1. Programming coffee dosing on the control panel
•This section will show how to program the volume of coffee that will be brewed automatically after each selection on the
control panel.
•Press the continuous cycle button and hold for more than 8 seconds: all the lights on the Control Panel will turn on, but
the „continuous cycle brewing” indicator light will blink.
•Within 5 seconds, press the coffee selection button that will be programmed (1 small espresso - 1
•large espresso - 2 small espressos - 2 large espressos). All the lights will turn off, except for the light corresponding to the
selected option and the „continuous cycle brewing” indicator light.
•The brew group begins the process of brewing espresso. When the desired amount of brewed coffee is reached, it is ne-
cessary to once again press the selection button, and this amount will be saved in the memory of the device as the default
programmed amount.
•This procedure should then be repeated with all the other programs that require reprogramming. After each reprogram-
ming of the given selection, the corresponding indicator light will turn off.
Each procedure has to be reprogrammed with the use of freshly ground coffee.
In the case where only one selection requires reprogramming, please follow the previously mentioned instructions, only
reprogramming the one selected program; other programs stored under the other buttons will remain unchanged - the
volume of dispensed coffee will remain the same as previously programmed.
Very important: After reprogramming the volume of the brewed coffee on the left control panel (facing the device), the new
volume will also be saved on any other control panel of the given device. This means that if we modify the volume for 1 small
espresso on the left panel then this new volume will be automatically transmitted and saved on all the other control panels.
This automatic saving and transmission of new parameters to other control panels is only possible on the left control panel.
if we modify the amount of brewed coffee on any other control panel, the new value will not be saved on any other control
panel.
a. Sample program of brewing a small coffee
Unlock the lter, remove it from the brew group and ll with freshly ground coffee. Then place and lock the lter in the group
head. Place one cup under the outlet. Press the „*” button on the control panel and hold for more than 8 seconds, until all the

green lights turn on. Then press the small coffee brewing button. All the green lights will turn off except for the light corre-
sponding to the selection from the continuous brewing cycle. The device will start brewing coffee.
When the desired volume of coffee is brewed press the small coffee brewing button. The light corresponding to this selection
will turn off. This will mean that the programming of the given selection was successful. Now we can reprogram the set volu-
me again or wait until the electronic components will return to the normal mode, and lights on the control panel will turn off.
9.2. Alarm and warning messages on the electronic control panel
•If the boiler lling time exceeds the programmed time (2 minutes) (lack of water), all the lights on the control panel will
start blinking and the device will stop its operation and will lock down. After resolving the issue of the lack of water (pres-
sure of the water supplied to the device is too low), we can unlock the device by turning it off and turning it on again by
pressing the main switch.
•If the electronic elements take longer than
•5 seconds after pressing one of the espresso selection buttons to receive a signal from the ow meter (coffee ground too
nely or problems with the ow meter) a light for the selected volume will start blinking. In order to remove this warning
message, press the same button again.
•Maximum safety time: The maximum permissible brewing time is 5 minutes, regardless of the selection.
10. FAULTS, CAUSES, SOLUTIONS
10.1. Faults caused by the deposition of lime scale
The dispensed coffee does not reach the right temperature:
•The heat-exchanger outlet pipes are clogged by lime scale. The brewing group does not dispense water:
•The lime scale deposits have blocked the ow of water.
Ninety percent of the faults of the coffee machine are caused by lime scale depositing inside the device if water treatment
measures have not been applied. In order to prevent the deposition of lime scale please ensure the regular maintenance of the
water treatment device.
10.2. Problems resulting from improper coffee grinding
The coffee is dispensed very quickly:
•Adjust the coffee grinding setting. The coffee grind is too coarse. The coffee is dispensed very slowly:
•Adjust the coffee grinding setting. The coffee grind is too ne.
If you notice any irregularities in the operation of the coffee machine, please contact the technical service.
11. RECOMMENDATIONS
•The brew group head should be cleaned every day without the use of detergents, only using the previously described
cleaning procedure with the use of the cleaning membrane / lter basket and water.
•At least once a month it is necessary to clean the brew group head using a special detergent suitable for the cleaning of
the brew groups of coffee machines (as described earlier in this manual).
•It is necessary to ensure the regular maintenance of the water treatment device.
•Always use freshly ground coffee in order to keep its properties, aroma and avor until the moment of consumption.
•We should keep in mind that the best espresso coffee is obtained when both the brew group and the lter are hot and
maintain a constant temperature. That is why the lter should always be placed in the brew group head.
