WATERPROOFING THE TENT
This tent is made from coated water repellent fabrics. However, the
sewing process necessary in all tent fabrication can cause water
leakage where the sewing needles have perforated the fabric in the
seams. Tent should be seam sealed to make it water tight. Seam sealer
can be located at your local outdoor outfitter or camping store. We
recommend sealing the outside of the floor and roof twice and the
inside once. When finished, let the tent stand and dry for a 6 to 12
hours before putting it away.
INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TENT POLES.
NOTE: For best results, 2 persons are recommended for tent set-up.

1)
Assemble poles as shown (Fig. A). Each assembled pole should have a
tip at the top.
Open tent completely and lay out on flat, level surface. (See location
warnings on front.) Stake down all 6 ground tabs.
Insert tip of one pole into upper tab of one corner of tent roof. Utilize line
provided and tie one end to pole tip. Determine location of stake and
pound securely into ground surface, then tie line to stake (Fig. B).
(NOTE: See Fig. C for guide to using cord adjustment locks.)

Repeat #3 above for other roof corner, then adjust and pull tight until
structure is secure.
Use remaining lines to tie off and stake down side wall tabs (Fig. D).
Stake down tent in windy weather, or if winds are anticipated.
Always place tent a safe distance from campfires. Unstaked tents placed
upwind of campfire can be blown into the fire. Tents placed downwind of the
fire are often showered with sparks that can burn holes in the lightweight
fabric of the tent.
A practice set-up is recommended before first use in a camping situation to
prevent any unforeseen difficulties.
Mildew is likely to form if a tent is rolled wet for more than a few days. Mildew
can cause delamination between fabric and waterproof coating or irreversible
staining. Prompt cleaning and drying is the only way to stop the growth of
mildew.
WARNING: Tent fabrics are flame retardant treated per CPAI-84. However, for
your safety, we recommend that no open flame be used in or near the tent.
