WATERPROOFING THE TENT
This tent is made from coated water repellent fabrics. However, the
sewing process necessary in all tent fabrication can cause water
leakage where the sewing needles have perforated the fabric in the
seams. Tent should be seam sealed to make it water tight. Seam sealer
can be located at your local outdoor outfitter or camping store. We
recommend sealing the outside of the floor and roof twice and the
inside once. When finished, let the tent stand and dry for a 6 to 12
hours before putting it away.
Stake down tent in windy weather, or if winds are anticipated.
Always place tent a safe distance from campfires. Unstaked tents placed
upwind of campfire can be blown into the fire. Tents placed downwind of the
fire are often showered with sparks that can burn holes in the lightweight
fabric of the tent.
A practice set-up is recommended before first use in a camping situation to
prevent any unforeseen difficulties.
Mildew is likely to form if a tent is rolled wet for more than a few days. Mildew
can cause delamination between fabric and waterproof coating or irreversible
staining. Prompt cleaning and drying is the only way to stop the growth of
mildew.
WARNING: Tent fabrics are flame retardant treated per CPAI-84. However, for
your safety, we recommend that no open flame be used in or near the tent.

Remove the tent, rain fly, and tent poles from the tent storage bag.
Spread the tent out on a flat surface with the tent floor against the ground.
Carefully assemble the tent poles.
Carefully slide each of the long tent poles through the colored pole sleeves.
(Please note the poles will cross at the top of the tent)
Insert pin from tent corner into tent pole end ferrule.
Carefully push the remaining tent corner pins into the remaining pole end
ferrules. Now the tent will stand by itself.
Lay out rain fly with the top facing up and the zipper towards the front.
Pull fly over tent, with the zipper on the front side.
Hook corner bungees of rain fly to the rings at each corner of the base.
Extend the guy ropes at each end of the fly. Make a loop at each end of
the guy rope using the slider. Place the loop over the tent stake. Adjust
slider to make guy rope tight and stake to the ground.
