POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into
the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, do not use that outlet.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
AN EXTENSION CORD MAY BE USED IF CARE IS EXERCISED IN THEIR USE:
• Minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest UL or ETL listed cord possible.
• The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the product.
• Never use a single extension cord to operate more than one appliance.
• Arrange the longer cord so that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it
can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally (especially by children).
• DO NOT alter the plug. DO NOT attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized
plug.
BEFORE FIRST USE
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
As there is manufacturing residue or oil remaining in the toaster or heating element, it
will usually emit an odor for the first use. This is normal and will not occur after several
cycles. For the first use, it is recommended to operate the unit according to the below
steps without bread, then let the unit cool down and begin toasting with bread.
USING YOUR TOASTER
1. Place the slice of bread into the bread slot. A maximum of 2 slices can be inserted
at once. Only 1 regular slice of bread can be placed into each bread slot. NOTE:
Make sure the crumb tray is well pushed in before using.
2. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
3. Set the toasting control knob to the desired level.
There is 9-level control knob, the lowest “1” is for light
and the highest “9” is for dark. The digital display on
the knob will indicate your set browning level (FIG.1).
The slice of bread can be toasted to golden brown at
the middle position. NOTE: Browning color for one
slice of bread is darker than that for two slices at the
same level. If you are running 2 consecutive toasting
cycles, the toasting color obtained with the latter cycle
will be darker than that of the anterior cycle at the same level.

5
4. Lower the bread carriage lever handle down vertically until it is latched into place,
the indicator will light up, and the appliance will begin toasting. NOTE: The lever
handle can only be latched when the appliance is plugged in.
5. Once the lever is lowered, the 5 progress lights will
turn on and the countdown will begin. The bread will
be ready when all lights have turned o. (Fig.2)
6. Once bread is toasted to the desired level, the lever
handle will automatically pop up. NOTE: During
toasting, you may also observe the toasting color
from the top. If it is satisfactory, you can press the
button to interrupt the cycle at any time, but never lift the lever handle to cancel
toasting.
7. To toast frozen bread, first set the browning control knob to your desired level,
lower the lever handle down vertically until it is latched into place, and press the
button, (the indicator will light up). You will then obtain toasted bread at the
desired browning level.
8. To warm cold toasted bread, first lower the lever handle vertically until it is latched
into place and press the button, (the indicator will light up). In this mode, the
toasting time is fixed so there is no need to adjust the browning control knob.
CAUTION
1. Remove all packaging and protective wrapping prior to toasting.
2. If toaster starts to smoke, press the button to stop toasting immediately.
3. Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the
toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal
mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
5. The bread slot is only made for toasting regular sliced bread.
6. To achieve uniform browning for each cycle, we recommend waiting a minimum of
30 seconds between each cycle.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, never use metal polish.
3. To remove the crumb tray, push it in to loosen the latch, then pull it out completely.
Empty it in the trash or compost disposal. If the toaster is used frequently,
accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week. Make sure the
crumb tray is well fastened before using the toaster again.
4. When stored or not in use, the power cord may be wrapped under the bottom of
the toaster.
