Before assembling your OctoDome nxt softbox, make sure all components are present.
You will need:
●OctoDome nxt softbox
●Starlite Octoconnector
●Starlite QL
●Power cord for Starlite QL
●One 500 watt Starlite lamp
●One 1000 watt Starlite lamp
●Tilt Swivel Mount
●Eight rods
●Rear cowling
●Inner baffle
●Face diffuser
●Litestand 2214
Setting Up the LiteStand
Loosen the knob at the top of the legs.

Spread legs apart.

Keep pushing until the legs are completely open.

Position OctoConnector at the center of the
softbox. The connector front should face down
toward the softbox and the connector back should
face up.

Notice that each corner of the connector has a
rod receptacle hole. Follow the order shown in the
preceding image when connecting rods to the
connector.

Insert the third rod through eighth rods following
the order in the diagrammed image above.
With all eight rods securely positioned in the
connector, the initial construction of the soft box is
complete.

The rear cowling can be added by fastening the
Velcro® tabs sewn on the cowling and the
softbox. Line up the tabs on one end of the
cowling with the softbox tabs.

On the Starlite QL head, note the locations of the
Swivel Mount connect channel, the locking pin
and quick release lever (lock release lever), the
three metal posts, and the power cord connector.

The metal posts on the front of the Starlite QL

The spring-driven locking pin will securely lock the
Starlite QL head to the connector.
