Important Instructions
Please read operating instructions before using the appliance to ensure safe and reliable
performance.
Use the unit on a stable surface. Don't Clean the cooking pan and heating plate

Do's
1. Before plugging the socket ensure that the supply voltage is in accordance with the rated
one.
2. Before placing the cooking pan into the rice cooker, make sure that the heating plate and
the magnetic switch are clean and dry.
3. For best quality results, it is recommended to use keep warm function for maximum 2
hours. To stop the keep warm function, simply unplug the unit from the mains.
4. Always disconnect the power from the mains before cleaning.
5. If the main cord of the rice cooker is damaged, it must only be replaced by an authorized
service personnel.
6. Avoid exposure of the rice cooker to heated surface or direct heat.
Don'ts
1. Do not switch on when the Rice Cooker is empty.
2. Do not obstruct the steam vent hole with any article e.g. a piece of cloth.
3. Do not place the inner pot directly over open flame for cooking.
4. During operation avoid touching hot parts: outer lid, inner pot, inner lid, steam tray and
especially the steam vent hole.
5. During cooking please ensure that the water does not overflow.
6. During cleaning, do not immerse or rinse the main body with water.
7. Do not use sharp instruments for cleaning. This may damage the non-stick coating of the
cooking pan.
8. Do not let children to operate the machine.
Before First Use
·Before using the Rice cooker for the first time wash the inner bowl, steamer, cup and scoop
with detergent and water. Do not use sharp abrasive material to clean the inner bowl
otherwise the coating can get damaged.

How to Use

2. Wash the rice
Wash the rice gently and thoroughly. We advise you to use a separate container during
washing to avoid damage to the non-stick coating of the cooking pan.
3. Add water according to the markings inside the pot
Put cooking plate inside the cooking pan. Pour the pre-washed rice into the inner pot. Add
water according to the markings indicated inside the pot that corresponds to the cup of
plain rice that are poured, then smooth the rice surface. The level marked inside the pot is
just an indication; you can always adjust the water level for different types of rice and your
own preferences.
4. Check to ensure that the pot is in good condition
Before connecting the power, ensure the outside of the pot is dry and clean and that no
foreign matter is on the heating plate or on the magnetic switch. Close the lid firmly until it
gives a 'click' sound to avoid improper rice cooking (Only in Steamcook Dx).
5. Connect to the main supply
Connect the unit to the mains. The light of the 'COOK' mode will glow ON.
6. Press the control button to start cooking
To start the rice cooking process, press down the control button and the light of the cook
mode will stay on to indicate that rice cooking is in progress.
7. Keep warm
When the cooking process is finished, the light of the cook mode will go off and the light
of warm mode will be ON automatically.
8. Stir the rice
For best results, open the lid after the light of the warm mode goes on and stir the rice to
allow excessive water to escape. Then close the lid firmly to continue the keep warm
function.
9. Power off
To stop the keep warm operation, simply unplug the unit from the mains.
3. Wash with a sponge or a soft cloth.
4. Do not use any abrasive cleansers, steel wool or metal utensils to clean the non-stick inner
pot as these will damage the non-stick coating.
5. To clean the outer body use only a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the unit. Do not
immerse the main body in water.

TIPS:
1. To avoid rice from sticking at the base, put half teaspoon of cooking oil over the base. This
will reduce the chances of rice crust formation on the base.
2. To avoid rice from sticking at the base, it is recommended to use cooking plate provided
with the unit.
3. For even cooking make sure that the rice is properly spread over in the cooking pan.
4. Cooking results and time may vary according to the quality and quantity of rice. You can
increase or decrease the water quantity as per your taste and preference. Cooking time will
also depend on the supply voltage.
NOTE:
This appliance is fitted with Thermal Fuse for over heat protection.
