LEDS INDICATORS (TOP OF THE AMPLIFIER)
SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING
- RED LED (PROT) illuminates only when
there is a problem in the functioning of
the device.
- RED LED (CLIP) flashes when
the amplifier output begin to
distort the sound.
- BLUE LED (POWER)
lights when the power
is on.
If some problem occurs, the amplifier will shut down and the RED LED will flash alternately with the BLUE LED. As
the problem occurred, the BLUE LED will blink a certain number of times. So we have a diagnosis according to the
table below:
NOT TURN ON:
- The cables are not properly connected (terminals +BATT, GND and REM). Make sure that all
connections are mechanical and electrical contact.
- Fuses / breakers (external) are defective or burned. Pay attention to the correct value of the new fuse!
NO SOUND:
- The cables of the speakers or RCA plugs are not connected correctly.
- Check that the LEVEL control is not in the minimum.
NO SOUND/PROTECTION RED LED FLASHING:
- See diagnosis UP (SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING).
- The speakers or cables defectives thus check the speakers, cables and connections.
POOR SOUND QUALITY (DISTORTION):
- The speakers are overloaded, therefore decrease the level and redo the gain setting (See item 2 /
OVERVIEW).
WEAK BASS:
- Cables speakers (+) and (-) are reversed, speaker out of phase (see Section 6 / overview).
MOTOR NOISE, HORN, SIGNAL LIGHT, ETC:
- Use suppressive cables in ignition candles.
- Use capacitors in the alternator, horn and ignition.
- Pass the RCA cable away from any other cable, because it is more sensitive to interference.
- Connect to power (+12 V) to separate the sound system. Use a fuse to 30 cm from the battery for
protection.
- Make a good grounding of the amplifier. To do this removes the paint from the chassis of the vehicle at
the desired point. Screw the cable using a ground terminal. To protect from oxidation, insulate with
paint.
- Do not loop the ground wire. Avoid using several ground wires. Prefer a star connection, with all the
ground wires aside from a single point.

USER’S GUIDE
5K ES - 2 OHMS
The cables of the speakers should be polarized (marked) to facilitate the identification of positive and
negative. The circumference should be at least 8mm². Keep the cables from the speakers properly
insulated. Beware of metal parts that can damage the insulation of cables.
ATTENTION: USE OF EXTERNAL FUSE OR BREAKER
BECAUSE THE AMPLIFIER HAS NO INTERNAL FUSE.
INSTALLATION OF OUTPUT SPEAKER
For the installation of power, choose cables with 21mm ². The positive cable should come straight
from the battery with a fuse or circuit breaker protection located 30cm from the battery. The
negative cable should have the same circumference of the positive, and screwed into the chassis of
the vehicle, taking care to avoid paint and rust that may prevent the passage of electric current,
causing power loss and noise in the sound.
INSTALLATION OF POWER (BATTERY)
INSTALLING THE INPUT CABLES.
For the input entrance, use quality RCA cables with shield to avoid interference from the car.
OVERVIEW
AUDIO INPUT AND CONTROLS
AUDIO OUTPUT AND POWER FEED
1.INPUT – RCA CONNECTION: This input should receive the signal trough a RCA cable that must
be connected to the RCA output of the CD/MP3 player.
2.LEVEL – GAIN CONTROL: Controls the input signal that comes from the CD/MP3 player allowing
a correct adjustment. For a correct use play a musical signal, put your CD/MP3 volume at 80% and
the gain control at 0%, then start to increase the gain until you notice distortion, to finish return the
gain a little bit.
3.SUB SONIC FILTER: Enables a cut on the low frequency sounds (subsonic`s). This filter is very
useful when using woofer type speakers. In this cases the woofers can’t handle subsonic sounds,
and may even damage the woofers depending on the type of sound used. The setting goes from
10Hz to 80Hz.
4.LOW PASS FREQ. – FREQUENCY CUT CONTROL: This control allows you to choose the
frequency cut of the channels filter (crossover) between 50Hz and 8KHz. This filter only allows the
signals that are below of the frequency cut.
5.COOLER: It helps the internal temperature of the components to below.
6.SPEAKER OUTPUT: This output is MONO. Observe that there are four posts for connection,
however its not necessary to use all posts. You Just need a positive and a negative. Be careful with
the correct polarity of the speakers. The minimal association permitted is 2 ohms. Use at least 8mm²
cables.
7.REM – REMOTE TURN-ON: Connect the REM terminal to the electrical antenna output of you
CD/MP3 player. This way when you CD/MP3 player, the amplifier will automatically turn on. A 0.5mm
cable is sufficient.
8.+BATT – POSITIVE FEED: Connect the post (+BATT) to the positive post of the battery (+12V)
with a cable of at least 21,0 mm². Its extremely important that a fuse or circuit breaker is used at a
distance of 30cm away from the positive post of the battery.
9.GND – GROUND CONNECTION: Use a 21,0 mm² cable. Connect the cable to the car chassis.
OBS: always plug the wire GND (-) of the CD/MP3 player or other devices in the same point.
