StetSom STX 64 User manual

DOES NOT TURN ON/GREEN LED DOES NOT LIGHT UP:
* The Power cables are not properly connected (terminals +Batt, GND & REM).
* Power cables with bad contact. Check connections.
* REM without signal. Check whether the REM connection is getting tension of approximately + 12V
* Bad contact in ground connection
* Burned out internal fuses. Be aware, the right fuse must be of 0,5 A.
NO SOUND:
• Level control must be in minimum position. Turn it up.
• On/off channel switch is turned off. Turn it on.
UNWELCOMED NOISE:
• All RCA and Power cables must be checked in advance to prevent them from any trouble.
• Use suppressor cables for ignition candles
• Keep In and Out RCA cables far from any other cable, because they are more sensitive to
interference.
• Have a separated Power connection (+12V) for the sound system. For safety use an 1A fuse placed
30cm far from the battery.
• Have a good grounding of the Crossover: first remove the paint from the vehicle chassis at the
desired spot; then screw in the cable using a ground terminal; finally, to prevent from rust, coat it with
paint.
• Have the Crossover grounding spot the closest as possible to the other audio equipments used
together.
• Do not loop the ground wire. Avoid using many of it. Prefer a star connection, with all the wires
coming from a single spot.

The electronic STX 64 Crossover was developed to provide a great performance
associated to the sound fidelity.
Being extremely reliable, with such low levels of noise and harmonic distortion, it’s
perfect for professional sound installation.
The electronic STX 64 Crossover has 4 Input channels (2 Stereo & 2 Mono) and 4
Output ways (LOW, MID LOW, MID HIGH, HIGH) providing a plain frequency
response throughout its work.
Please read this manual before installing the electronic STX 64 crossover. The
assembly instructions and connections must be precisely followed. If necessary, consult us.
All battery connections (Power supply), input & output signals may be easily and safely
done through screwable terminals and RCA connectors.
1) Do not place the cables through metallic sharp and cutting edges so that you won't
have them damaged.
2) Distribute all the cables the farthest you can from the ignition cables, electronic
injection modules and starting key, as it may interfere in sound.
3) The RCA cables should be kept the shortest .Long power cables are preferable so
the RCA ones can be shorten.
For installing, select a place
which can be easily reached. The
installation must be carefully and
accurately done so the good
performance of the equipment can be
assured.
Before installing the equipment
arrange a tray to place it. Put it in the
selected place, check and drill, and
finally tighten the screws firmly.
- Four RCA input channels (2 Mono & 2 Stereo)
- Four RCA output ways: LOW (MONO), MID LOW (MONO), MID HIGH (STEREO)
and HIGH (STEREO).
- Level Control: Independent Level Control of all ways.
- On/Off switch: On/Off switch for all ways.
- Filters: LOW PASS, MID LOW, MID HIGH and HIGH PASS, 12dB/octave filters with
variable frequency.
- Power: Developed with a DC/DC converter supply assuring a better performance and
getting free from unwelcomed noise.
- Protection Fuse: a 0,5A Internal Fuse.
- Protection: Protection against Power polarity inversion.

The STX 64 has filters with variable frequencies, which allow its use with many
different kinds of loud-speakers.
The STX 64 Crossover is meant to lead the frequency bands of the audio spectrum
to amplifiers, which will amplify and lead the signals to the particular acoustic transducers
( loud-speakers), providing a much
more efficient sound system,
excellent performance and a wide
range for projects.
