Instructions:
SI-CS-36, Lastra Console
1. Carefully position legs in desired location. The legs and top are marked indicating right and left, as well as
front/back. Be sure to set the legs in the correct orientation to the top. Leave about 30” between the legs
and check for level and plumb. Fig. 1
2. Using a material lift, Fig 2. (available at most rental companies) carefully bring in the top and move legs into
position to test fit all pieces. Fig. 3 Check the legs for plumb and that the countertop is level. Note that
shims may be required under the legs.
3. Test fit the wood insert and use this time to move the legs into their final position and make sure they are
plumb. You can move the legs in tighter on the wood insert as well as align the sink top edges with the legs
using a rubber mallet or wood blocking and a hammer. Be careful to protect the stone.
4. Remove the wood insert slowly and carefully, and set your top onto the legs using a few spots of epoxy on
the inside of the tenons to help secure the top (a bead can be used if more security is required). Fig. 4
5. Place brackets on upper inside corners of the stone top and legs, and secure with the provided machine
screws into already installed anchors. Fig. 5.
6. Slide wood insert into position on bottom box support rails. The wood insert face should be flush with the
front of the legs and top. We allow a gap of 1/8” between the face of the wood and inside edge of the stone,
so that natural swelling of the wood may occur without applying pressure on the stone. Install the wood
insert with equal spacing on all sides. Fig. 6
7. Connect the wood insert to the box support rails from underneath using the provided wood screws and the
pre-drilled holes. Fig. 7
