Installation & configuration
Choose a suitable mounting location where the unit is easy
to see and cables can be routed without causing any
interference with the operation of the vehicle. Use the
appropriate mounting option to suit your vehicle, suction
mount or adhesive, ensure that the cables have enough
clearance to avoid damage and any excess cable is cable
tied or routed so as not to interfere with the driving
position.
The basic features are pre-configured with logical default
settings and are supplied ready to use once installed with a
minimum of adjustment needed to personalise to your
needs.
If using in a vehicle with an ignition switched power source
it is only necessary to set the time offset, all other defaults
are preset. If the vehicle only has a permanent power
source it will be necessary to configure the power off time
and sleep voltage menu settings so that it will power off
when not in use. It is important to make sure the device
has access to GPS signal to work correctly.
