Intended use
The level converters MPW16 Serial are intended for converng M-Bus signals into other
signal forms such as RS-232 or RS-485. The level converters are only suitable for operaon in
closed locaons (e.g. control cabinet).

Mounng
Mounng on mounng rail
The level converters can be mounted on commercially available mounng rails of type TS35
by snapping them on. A single level converter takes up a width of 52.5 mm (3HP).
Mounng with screw lugs
To aach the level converters with screw lugs, the black lugs on the back of the housing
must be pushed outwards unl they snap into place.
When engaged, the level converter can be screwed on with two M4 screws (top and
boom).

Commissioning
Aer connecng the power supply, the
green "Power" LED starts to light up.
Press the service buon for at least 30
seconds. The power LED flashes and the
level converter restarts. (Reset)
The data display shows the data transfer
of the serial communicaon
Yellow: Transming, Green: Receiving
The overload indicator shows the
overloaded M-Bus.
