INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

•STEP 1: Before beginning the installation
read the entire installation document. Check
to make sure you have all necessary parts:
1. (8) Insta-lock Brackets 32”
2. (2) 48” Slotted Uprights
3. (10) Mounting Screws
•STEP 2: Decide on the mounting distance
between the slotted upright tracks. If you will
not be storing shorter boards or skis you can
mount the uprights wider for more stable
storage (32”, 48” or wider center to center).
For this installation we will use a 32” center to
center distance. 32” center to center distance
works well for most wakeboards, snowboards,
skis, surfboards, etc.

•STEP 3: Find the wall studs; you'll fasten the slotted upright tracks to them later.
To locate wall studs use an electronic stud finder. A stud finder can be used to
locate both edges of the stud. You will need to mark the CENTER of the studs in
pencil. Most studs are located 16 inches center to center, but some are 24 inches
center to center.
•STEP 4: Determine where you want
the bottom edge of the upright track to
sit, and then mark the bottom edge of
both upright tracks in pencil. Make
sure the bottom edges of both tracks
are at the same height.

•STEP 5: Line up the bottom edge of the first slotted track with the pencil line.
Use a level to ensure that the slotted track is plumb and level.
•STEP 6: Attach the slotted
upright tracks to the wall
studs using the provided
screws. There should be a
screw in all of the round
holes for both upright
tracks. IT IS CRITICAL
THAT THE UPRIGHT
SCREWS ARE
ANCHORED INTO THE
WALL STUDS. You can
check this by driving a nail
into the wall and making
sure you hit the studs.
HINT: It may be easiest to
partially put in the top screw
first so the upright track is
hanging like a pendulum.
Next, level out the upright
track before driving in the
remainder of the screws.

•STEP 7: Place the curved storage brackets into the upright tracks. Make sure
each pair of brackets is directly across (horizontally) from its mate. To insert the
brackets tilt them up and insert the top Insta-lockTM tab into the slot, then tilt
down and lower until it locks in place. Adjust the pairs of brackets as needed to
accommodate your boards and skis.
Tips & Warnings
•Before driving screws or nails check
for plumbing, electrical or any other
obstructions in the area.
•You can drive a nail into the wall to
make sure you have located a stud.
Another way to ensure you have
located the stud is to predrill the
mounting holes with a small drill bit
(smaller than the mounting screws).
When you remove the drill bit you
should see wood in the drill flutes.
