POWER AND GROUNDING OF ALL RACKS
When using PDUs, each PDU should be connected to a committed
branch circuit that is rated for the continuous load of all the equipment
connected. When not using a PDU, each piece of equipment should be
connected to a dedicated branch circuit.
PROTECTIVE EARTHING/GROUNDING
A main protective earthing stud is provided.
WARNING: To avoid injury to persons or loss of life, ground
rack individually to the dedicated branch circuit earthing ground.
CONNECTING MAIN PROTECTIVE EARTHING STUD TO THE
DEDICATED BRANCH CIRCUIT EARTHING GROUND CONDUCTOR
Connect the dedicated branch circuit earthing ground conductor to the
main protective earthing stud located on the support frame using a
listed ring or closed-loop terminal.
PARTS NOT BONDED TO PROTECTIVE EARTHING TERMINAL
The following parts are not effectively bonded to the protective earthing
terminal: Top and Bottom Inside Extension Bars - and Top and Bottom
Outside Cross Members on the VD4PM6-2436, VD4P1224-2436
and VD4PHD-2436 Racks and the Center Waterfall Bracket on the
CMR-45U and CMR-45U16. If these parts need to be bonded to the
protective earthing terminal, do so in accordance with Article 250 of the
National Electric Code.

RELATED ACCESSORIES AND PARTS
SPACER BRACKETS, VSBK6-8, VSBK9-14
Variable Spacer Bracket Kits are adjustable in one inch increments and
are required when installing a vertical cable manager or bafe between
two racks. Each kit contains 4 bracket assemblies. Before installation of
brackets, take into consideration if a vertical cable manager will also be
installed between the racks. The VSBK6-8 is used to space racks 6-8 ".
The VSBK9-14 is used to space racks 9-14" apart.
Tools: 7/16" x 7mm socket and wrench
1. Determine the required spacing needed between racks. Assemble
the brackets by inserting the square tab into the correct hole of the
opposite bracket; push the brackets together so that the tab is
inserted rmly. Secure the brackets with a push button rivet.
2. Attach top brackets to racks, as shown in Detail A.
FINGER TIGHTEN. If installing a bafe kit it is recommended that
the top rear spacer bracket be installed AFTER the bafe kit.
3. Attach bottom brackets to rack in the same manner, except omit
M4 x .7 20mm lg. bolt and hex nut. FINGER TIGHTEN

BAFFLE SUPPORT FRAME, 4PBSF24-36
Tools: philips head screwdriver
Use the Bafe Support Frame when a bafe is needed for an end-of-
row rack. Support frame is not recommended for the CMR-45U16, as
the frame has a variable depth from 24-36" and the CMR is only 16".
1. Determine the necessary depth of the variable brackets (normally
the same depth as the end-of-row rack). Set the brackets at the
required depth and secure together by using two #10-32 nuts and
washers.
2. Bolt the variable depth brackets to the vertical post, as shown in
Detail A.
3. The bafe support frame attaches to end-of row-rack with the
variable spacer bracket kit. See page 15 for installation.
