1. TO SET THE TIME:
Plug in your new Sunbeam ararm crock. The dispray wiI frash. Depress and hold the
TIME button. At the same time depress and notd ir," nouR ortton ,niii yo, ,"".n
the correct hour and then rerease onry the HouR button. continue to hord the
TIME button and depress and hold the MINUTE button until you reach th" "orr""*
minute and then release both the TIME and nniruurg buttons. you have now set
the time. NorE: AM/pM wiI appear in the rower reft hand corner of ihe aispray.
Be sure to set the time for the corre* 12-hour period - a.Na. (MorningJ or p.M.
( Evening).
2. TO SET THE ALARM;
Depress and hord the ALARM button. At the same time depress and hord the
HOUR button untir you reach the desired hour and then rerease onry in" noun
button. continue to hord the ALARM button and depress the rurruuii outton
until you reach the desired minute and then release ihe MINUTE button. rne
display will now show the time when the ararm is set to sound. Berease the ALARM
button and the dispray wiil again show the correct time of day. Anytime you wisrr
to recheck the alarm setting depress the ALARM button. NorE, airalirrlr nttrtion
also applies to the ararm. Be sure to set the ararm for the correct ri-io", perioa -
A.M. (morning) or p.M. (Evening).
3. TO TURN THE ALARM ON:
slide rhe ALARM "oN-oFF- switch into the "oN', position. Asymbor wiI appear
in the upper reft hand side of the dispray. when the ararm sounds, you "an turn it
"OFF" by sliding the ALARM ,,ON-OFF- switch to the ,,OFF,, position, or for a
few extra minutes of sleep, press the SNOOZE Bar. The alarm wi]l stop and sound
again in g minutes. you can continue to use the sNoozE g.,,"p".*ly Ino tne
alarm will sound g minutes after each time the sNoozE Bar is pressed- Liine atar.

and your alarm will be set for the same wake_up iime on the next day.

4. BATTERY BACK-UP
Your clock has a battery back up feature in case of power failure. Agvoltbattery
(not included) is required. You must put in a battery (as illustrated) to ensure the
battery back up feature is ready in case of power failure. lf power fails, the back up
battery will automatically continue operation of the clock and maintain actual time.
However, the display will not be lighted. lf ALARM is set in the "ON" position, it
will sound at the correct time. When electrical power is restored, the display will
Iight up again. The battery will maintain timekeeping for approximately 8 hours
during power failure or interruption. NOTE: Remove the battery if the clock is to
be unplugged for a long lime to avoid unnecessary battery drain. During a power
failure, when the clock is under battery power, the clock may lose orgain up to two
minutes per hour. This may require resetting of time for precise timekeeping.
BATTERY INSTALLI\TION
To install the battery, slide off the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the
unit. snap the battery contacts over the battery. Position the battery inside the
compartment and replace the compartment cover. To prevent unnecessary drain of
the battery, install the battery AFTER AC power has been connected.

6. BATTEBY BACK.UP TEST
You may test the battery by unpruggin$ the power cord. The dispray wiil not be
visible but the clock should continue to keep time. Leave unelgssed Jor approxi-
mately 30 seconds. When you plug the power cord back in the display should light,
show the pr.oper time and shourd not brink. rf the dispray is brinking, the battery
should be replaced.
7, AUTO DIMMER
The auto dimmer automaticaily adjusts dispray intensity according to room Iight
level.
WARNING:
To prevent electrical shock, do not expose clock to rain or moisture. Do not attempt
to disassemble the clock - it does not contain customer serviceabre parts. Do not
use solvent cleaners on display window. Never use polish or abrasive cleaners on the
cabinet as they may damage the surface. crean with a soft croth dampened with water
only (be sure power cord is unplugged).
Do not expose crock to extreme heat such as found near a radiator or stove. High
temperatures may damage the cabinet as well as the components inside.
