BeforeinstallingandoperatingtheCrossFire,readandcomplywiththefollowingsafetyinstructions:
1.Engineeringdesign:TheCrossFireachievessignalamplificationoftheuplinkanddownlinkthrough
directcouplingofthe2G,3Gand
LTE
signalsfromthebasestation.TheexpansionunitaccessesWLAN
signalsandcombinestheWLANsignalwiththecoupledsignalforindoorcoverage.Normaluseofthe
systemwillnotdamagethebasestation;however,withtheincreaseofRUduringnetworkcoveragefor
indoordistribution,theuplinkoutputnoiselevelmayaffectthesensitivityofthebasestation,whichshould
beconsideredduringengineeringdesign.
2.Grounding:theshellsoftheaccessandexpansionunitsofthedevicehaveprotectiveground
terminals.Duringinstallation,connectthegroundterminalssecurelytotheprotectivebuildinggroundwith
yellowandgreenconductorsorwithbraidedgroundwire.Theaerialandfeedermustbeadequately
grounded.
3.Powersupply:Thepowersourcemustbewithintherequiredrangeofthedevice.Theratedvoltage
rangefortheACpowersupplysystemisAC100V~240Vandtheratedfrequencyrangeis50Hz/60Hz.The
ratedpoweroftheAU,EUandRUis100W,50Wand250W,respectively.Thegroundterminalofthe
three-corepowersocketusedatthedeviceinstallationsitemustbesecurelyconnectedtotheprotective
buildingground.
4.Electricshockprevention:touchingtheinternalpowersupplyunitsisdangerous.

5.Theopticalmodulecansupportahotplug,butdonotturntheopticalfiberheadtowardsany

TheCrossFiresystemincludestheAccessUnit(AU),ExpansionUnit(EU)andRemoteUnit(RU).
Usingdigitalprocessinganddigitalopticaltransmissiontechnology,theAUframesradio-frequencysignalsfrombase
stationsofdifferentoperators,andofdifferentstandardsandfrequencybands,andtransmitsthecompositesignalto
theEU.WLANandsmallcellbasestationsignalsaccessthegigabit/megabitEthernetportontheEUandarereframed
withopticalsignalsfromtheAUandthentransmittedtotheRU.TheRUconductsdigital-analogconversionandpower
amplificationoftheinputsignalsandthenachievesradiocoveragethroughtheantenna-feedersystemforsignalsofall
standardsandfrequencybands.

TheOperationsandMaintenanceTerminal(OMT)softwarerunsonallofthedevicesintheCrossFiresystem.The
interfacetotheOMTisWebOMT.WebOMTisbasedonawebbrowserandiscompatiblewithmostcommonbrowsers
suchasIEandGoogleChrome.WebOMTiscustomizedfortheCrossFireandisusedforquery,debuggingand
configuration.
AnNMScanonlyconnecttotheMasterAU,thereforetheMasterAUisknownasthehost.However,tomaintainthe
CrossFiresystemlocally,atechniciancanaccessthewholesystemthroughanyoneofthedevicesintheCrossFiresystem
(MasterorSlaveAU,EUorRU).Forexample,thetechnicianmayconnectalaptoptotheRU,logintotheWebOMTand
querytheDAStopology.ThedevicenameonthetopologydiagramisaURLlinktotheWebOMTontheselecteddevice.
Therefore,byclickingonthedevice

sname,thetechniciancanaccessanyotherdeviceeasily,regardlessofwhich
device

sWebOMTtheyinitiallyloggedinto.
